I also think that if Potter were fired what would be a loss would be Chelsea having to build a team from scratch again.
Graham Potter was only recently appointed manager, it is not like he has been at Stamford Bridge for years, thus even if he was fired today, Chelsea wouldn't need any rebuilding, with all due respect to him, he hasn't really built anything, Chelsea look like an ordinary team most times, and that has got to change.
Chelsea's focus this season seems to be only the UCL.
I'm afraid i don't think there any chance in hell that Chelsea is going to win the CL this season, i can't even see a way for them to get past Real Madrid. It is becoming glaring that they wouldn't play CL football next season, because they aren't going to enter the top four, neither are they going to win the CL this season.
1482  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much return are we expecting next bull run? on: March 20, 2023, 07:02:39 PM
10x on my portfolio not Bitcoin price. Bitcoin will only hit max $150k next bull run which is only a 5x which is why you need altcoins in your portfolio.

Some altcoins pumped 10-20x last month alone, Bitcoin does that is 5-10 years  Undecided
It is your strategy, thus if you believe in it you should stick to it. But if i am somewhat sure of a x5 of Bitcoin's price in the next bull run/after the next halving, then i'd take it, you believe you need altcoins in your portfolio because it can go way higher than that, maybe a x20 or x30, but which of them are you putting your money on to go that high? Or you'd just guess/gamble with quite a lot of them and hope to hit the jackpot, what if you are unlucky on all your guesses and most of them are just bagholding coins.
1483  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The Role of Currency Spectators In Currency Value Case Study of 9ja ₦ vs $ on: March 20, 2023, 06:50:51 PM
-so the question is, is it justifiable for the CBN to use anti-graft agencies such as the EFCC to arrest currency speculators/p2p Exchange?
It depends oh, that one na just a small part of the bigger problem, and the Nigerian government suppose look themselves critically before them begin go after currency speculators, are they themselves doing anything to cause economic growth and increase our foreign reserves, currency speculators just they take opportunity when them see am, and na our government they give them that opportunity. If to say we they produce goods locally for export, or we get enough refineries so we go they export petrol and not to import it, we no go they talk about this problem today na.

If the foreign reserves they insufficient, abeg wetin you want make currency speculators do, they have to take advantage na, and when them see say demand choke, na to increase the price they go so na. We be consumption country, we no they produce anything, we no they create jobs, we no they export anything, macroeconomics no good, government policies they kill microeconomics, etc, etc, if we begin tackle all of these, inflation rate go drop, value of naira would go up and e go come they easy to go after currency speculators, though them no go even too they, because to make profit go hard.
1484  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much return are we expecting next bull run? on: March 20, 2023, 11:47:51 AM
Bitcoin takes up 30% of my portfolio with the rest in altcoins.
That is 70% in altcoins that have no actual utility, you might want to reconsider that. Anyway i can't speak confidently for the other 70% of your portfolio, because yes many altcoins really pump during the bull run, but you have to be lucky to be hodling the one that's going to pump, and you also have to be very fast to sell, because a dump might follow afterwards.

Having said that, we cannot predict how much Bitcoin would appreciate in the next bull run/next halving, many predictions has been coming out of late, but they are basically just speculations, just accumulate as much as you can and we'd see, at least you are rest assured that your funds are safe in Bitcoin if you do your due diligence.

Haaland is Manchester city next captain, they will do anything to commit him to stay for a very long period, Haaland has broken alot of Manchester city records in his first season already. he is part of Manchester city and pep project. no reasonable team should bid for him now. until he finishes his contracts
There are quite a lot of senior players in City that will come ahead of Erling Haaland in the pecking order for who should be captain, i don't even get it why this is up for any discussion, there is no statement from City as to a change in captain now or in the future, neither do thay have to do that to make Erling Haaland stay at the Etihad.

Having said that, Erling is happy at City, he has scored 42 goals thus far this season, he is definitely going to remain at the Etihad for years to come. I don't think any club is even going to make any bid for him right now or in the recent future, but if the opportunity presents itself later in the future, and Haaland is no longer happy at the Etihad or his contract is coming to an end and he is yet to renew it, then other clubs can swoop in and try to recruit him, but for now he is very much committed to the City project.

Arsenal have stretched their lead at the summit of the EPL table to 8 points, though City have a game in hand anyway, but nontheless it is an outstanding feat by Arteta and his boys, they are cruising to their first EPL title in over 19 years, but it is not over just yet as i am pretty sure that City are going to push them and it is definitely going down to the wire.

Having said that, the run-in after the International break is going to be really interesting, there are big games coming for the both teams, and it is the team that is most consistent in that period that would win the title, but as it stands now, Arsenal are fully in control.
1487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking advice needed on: March 20, 2023, 09:39:39 AM
1. Pick top coins like Bitcoin
Bitcoin cannot be "staked" per se, Bitcoin operates using the POW algorithm, and technically coins that can be staked are POS coins. If you want to earn ROI on your Bitcoins, then you'd have to hodl it yourself in your non custodial wallet and be patient enough to wait for the long term.
2. You can choose to stake on Binance exchange, if anything goes wrong they will pay you back, Binance exchange takes responsibility for any users funds that get lost or stolen, using damage funds.
Are you sure about that? AfAIK Binance and other centralized exchanges do not take responsibility if their users funds are stolen or lost, it is even written in black and white in their terms of use:
Quote
BY MAKING USE OF BINANCE SERVICES, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT: (1) YOU ARE AWARE OF THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH TRANSACTIONS OF DIGITAL CURRENCIES AND THEIR DERIVATIVES; (2) YOU SHALL ASSUME ALL RISKS RELATED TO THE USE OF BINANCE SERVICES AND TRANSACTIONS OF DIGITAL CURRENCIES AND THEIR DERIVATIVES; AND (3) BINANCE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SUCH RISKS OR ADVERSE OUTCOMES.

The kind level of political apathy wey go follow after this disgrace wey INEC call election ehn, next four years if you tell person say make e come out come vote, e go ask you why e go waste him time when him vote no go count, and that is true, it is a sham, and INEC should be ashamed of itself for spending billions of taxpayers money, only to conduct this nonsense.

I no even bother myself yesterday, i no even waste my time to follow the election online or to go out and vote, Feb 25th show me say na evil people get this country, so why i go enter polling unit go waste my time when the results can be manipulated with ease, as e be now so ehn, make all Nigerians just they find way to escape poverty individually, because this nation really has nothing to offer to us, only shege.
1489  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is OK to sell but is better to wait on: March 19, 2023, 05:32:00 PM
Well, that depends a whole lot on what you are hodling in the first place, if your portfolio is filled with altcoins, which are known to be pump and dump/short term projects, you might want to sell the moment you are in profit because hodling it longer that necessary might result in a huge crash for the coin, leaving you on the receiving end; even if you are hodling an altcoin and it starts to dump, it is better to sell off and cut some of your losses, than still hodling it thinking it might appreciate again, so many altcoins become extinct after a huge dump, so you would not want to be a bagholder, would you?

Having said that, if you are hodling Bitcoin and you haven't invested more than you can afford to lose, which of course gives you the liberty to hodl for as long as possible, then you should not sell, if you are patient, in the long run you'd reap the rewards of hodling your Bitcoins.
1490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's not safe to be a crypto influencer on: March 19, 2023, 04:50:54 PM
Few people lose their life because of FTX and Luna's demise, because they focused all their money and attention on one project, avoid doing this, diversity brings less grief and more hope. Be safe.
FTX was an exchange, and the solution to people who lost their entire net worth to FTX crash isn't diversification, except you are advising people to diversify funds across different exchanges, rather the solution is for people to use non custodial wallets and should not hodl their funds in exchanges.

Having said that, Luna was a native token, should people even have been hodling such, let alone diversifying with some of it in their stash, the solution is for people to hodl a crypto that has a real utility like Bitcoin and diversify with other assets/commodities/businesses that are not intrinsically related to crypto.
1491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 17, 2023, 04:05:01 PM
I hope that real madrid would be facing bayern or city.
Yes, that is if Real Madrid beats Chelsea, the winner of that game would face the Winner of the Manchester City v Bayern game, it is going to be pretty tough for these four teams, i think amongst the four of them, whoever makes it to the final is going to win the CL title. The other four teams pitted against each other are also strong, but neither of them is favorites, only Napoli stands a small chance, and i think they are the team that's going to make it to the final out of the other four pitted against each other, because i think they would beat Ac Milan, and should defeat the winner between Benfica v Inter Milan. Having said that, it is all just speculations at this stage, football is somewhat unpredictable, so we'd have to wait for the games to come, then we'd see who'll progress.
1492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 17, 2023, 03:27:44 PM
that is why the only other game I can talk about would be Arsenal against Palace, because after such a loss to Lisbon, Arsenal will look to have a very dominant game to get back on track.
I don't know if Arsenal's loss to Sporting Lisbon and eventual elimination from the Europa League is a good thing for them based on their pursuit of the EPL, we could look at it in two different ways, it would help reduce the fatigue on their players because the other team competing with them (City) are still in 3 competitions, whilst Arsenal are just in 1 competition only, but on the other hand you can look at it in terms of morale and team confidence, it could affect them in that area, yes their priority is the EPL, but the players would be sad with the way they were eliminated yesterday, and another thing is that it could put some form of pressure on them, knowing the EPL is now their only hope of a trophy this season.

Having said that, we'd have to wait and see how they react in their next few games in the EPL, which happens to be against Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Liverpool, if they get a good result in all three games, then it would say a lot about if the players have shaken off their loss to Sporting Lisbon and if they are now fully concentrating on the EPL.
1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 16, 2023, 09:13:51 PM
Although Manchester city is a big club but I don’t see the reason why Alvarez had to agree to such a long term contract so fast. He should have waited till summer and listened to offers from Barca and Madrid. I see him fitting into both teams or better still other top clubs. With Halaand still in the club and on current form he might see little of playing minutes.
Even in Barcelona or Real Madrid, Alvarez would still not be their main striker, just as he isn't at Manchester City, and he can't even be sure of his future if he leaves to one of the aforementioned clubs (though i don't know if they are interested in him). Pep loves the Argentine, and the player believes in the Manchester City project, thus it is best that he extended his contract and remain at City.

Having said that, i am pretty sure Alvarez has a huge role to play for City, now and in the future, and Pep certainly knows that, he is a young lad and still has quite a lot of developing to do, so he just has to be patient and wait for his time.
1494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 16, 2023, 08:19:12 PM
You all know the reason for that. Real Madrid are just dominating the Champions League with their huge experience. Maybe they don't have the best squad in the tournament technically but still they are able to win the title here. It is mainly due to being very experienced and using the right strategies even against the biggest title contenders. Liverpool were one of them on paper but we have all witnessed how Real Madrid crushed them on aggregate. I don't know which team can deal with them really for now.
Real Madrid basically has what it takes to win CL trophies. I second everything you said, tbh i don't think they have the best squad in the competition, but they just know how to win CL games, even when they aren't at their best, last season from the RO16 to the Final, their opponents were better than them imo, but it was Real Madrid that progressed to the final and eventually won it.

Having said that, Ancelotti also deserves an awful amount of praise, i admire how he keeps things simple with his team, no confusing tactics and all that, he just puts them in their natural positions and gives them the gameplan, which they execute to perfection more often than not, maybe Pep should learn how to keep things simple from Ancelotti's book, maybe then he'd be able to win the CL with City.
1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 16, 2023, 07:52:04 PM
I believe as winning the champions league is a priority for them they will surely have it anytime soon, because they are working towards it
Making the CL a priority isn't what's going to take City to the CL title, their performance would show us if they truly want it, and if they would get it or not, they already made a big statement by beating RB Leipzig 8-1 on aggregate, but they must continue to show that hunger, and be all out to go all the way in the CL this season.

Having said that, Real Madrid have won the CL more than any club, yet every season they show more hunger than they did the previous season, that is why they tend to always be favorites, City need to grow that sort of hunger for the CL, and Pep also has to stop overthinking things in the CL sometimes and i believe they would win it, and the moment they get one CL trophy, they would definitely get more.
1496  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Kyc worth the risk? on: March 15, 2023, 11:50:34 PM
If Yes, what is the most secure centralise exchange to use? because I read that aside from a person identity be stolen, they may lost their funds or not been able to access it and this happened to FTX customers
Well, everything you read about centralized exchanges are absolutely correct, your identity can be stolen and your funds seized on any of them, thus there is no need seeking one you think is most secure if that is what you want to escape from, as they are all guilty in that regard. There are decentralized alternatives to them, but if you are a day trader and you feel centralized exchanges are your only option, thus you should DYOR and choose the 'biggest' exchange instead of new ones that would steal any deposit you send to them. But even as a day trader, be cautious of the amount of money you leave in the exchange, move the large sums to your non custodial wallets.

Liverpool will go back to England tomorrow knowing that their best thing they can do to save their season is make it to the top four which I think would be difficult to achieve
I am pretty sure Liverpool players and their fans weren't too optimistic about a comeback in this game, i say so because if they had already accepted the fact that they were eliminated right after the first leg, the reality tonight would not hurt them so much. I knew Real Madrid were definitely going to progress at the end of the night, but Liverpool would have tried to at least avoid defeat tonight, maybe a draw would have been a much more respectable result, or if they had won 1-0 or something, yes, they were already bound for the exit door, but they should have avoided losing both home and away.

Having said that, Liverpool are having a complete mess of a season, and imo there is no way to save it right now, they are definitely going to go trophyless and would most probably not qualify for the CL next season; i don't know if Jurgen Klopp would be their manager by next season.
1499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 15, 2023, 07:58:23 PM
Miracles are known to happen to Real Madrid in Champions League Wink I don't recall a team doing such great comeback the way Real Madrid did in the previous version. I assume City and the other teams are praying for Liverpool victory to get ride of Real Madrid  Grin
There have been great comebacks in the CL history, and of course Real Madrid contributes a large part of that history, but so do Liverpool, especially in that famous 2005 CL final against AC Milan in Instanbul, thus Liverpool have also tasted some of these miracles. Having said that, i don't expect a miracle to happen tonight, the game was already won in Anfield some weeks ago when Real Madrid won 5-2, and with the second leg in Real Madrid's home tonight, i can't see what would motivate Liverpool to turn this game on its head. Real Madrid are definitely going to go through, and Liverpool are going home.
1500  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin can replace banking system digitally on: March 15, 2023, 07:18:41 PM
Government needs to make bitcoin a legitimate legal tender for digital marketing. We are no longer on analog age where everything has to be done with counter banking, we can improve our systems by allowing bitcoin to do most of the human jobs. Buying and selling of stuffs by easily ease stress.
Bitcoin is not some sort of AI that can do human jobs, Bitcoin itself is a currency, and i don't see a way it can help develop the traditional banking system as they both operate in a different way. Having said that, in traditional banking these days everything isn't done over the counter, there is of course mobile/internet banking and a lot of digital stuffs that makes banking quite easy.
Has Bitcoin the potential to replace the banking system? Yes, of course. That's what Bitcoin was invented for.
I'm afraid Bitcoin does not have the potential to replace the traditional banking system, neither was it created by Satoshi for that purpose. Bitcoin was created to be an alternative peer to peer currency that would function/work without any third party, it can definitely co-exist with FIAT and the banking system.
