1541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Carry empty paper bitcoin wallets with you on: July 03, 2016, 07:41:55 PM
If people inquire about bitcoin perhaps give them one.

I was at a shop last week and he asked how I would like to pay.  I said bitcoin or Visa, he said oh that is still around?  Explained a bit and gave him 2mBTC.

Spread the info to those that are interested!  (I also have made a bitcoin for beginners cd LOL!)

By giving him a paper wallet you may know the private key Tongue, on these days in most popular/rich countries people have android or iOS i would suggest like BNM above a mobile wallet. I like your idea by saying "bitcoin and visa" this is how us should promote bitcoin to others.
1542  Economy / Digital goods / Re: NEW BTCTALK ACCOUNT PRICING GUIDE on: July 03, 2016, 07:13:41 PM
I think your prices are undervalued, there are many factors that increases or decreases the value of an account, like the number of posts, activity (potential activity), trust, which campaign is enrolled (if any) etc. This is a free market so auctioning has nothing bad even if the starting bid is lower than your price.
1543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had suddenly 500 BTC on: July 03, 2016, 06:21:55 PM
How would you transfer the btc to your bank account without making the banks / OCED ask questions?

Hiring 250 people and then send they the money to you but it will still be noticeable if this happens at the same time with the same amount of withdrawal to the banks. Maybe buying something else withdrawing time by time not all in once etc.

This is not smart at all. too many people work with you, easy to track you down.

Well I don't know what is the source of these bitcoins but if it is legal then i wouldn't worry to much. Maybe up to 3k per person should not make your bank ask what you are doing or anything else. You can sell them for cash locally in your city or country and not being noticed. Also you can buy hardware things and then resell them.
1544  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price rising and rising. Is it time to sell before another price down? on: July 03, 2016, 06:20:42 PM
Sometimes I think that it is the right time to sell before the halving because after the halving if the price does not increase then it will crash hard. Just checking the charts today we can see that the price today was $700 but crashed to $650 within a short period of time.

1546  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: July 03, 2016, 05:32:04 PM
I've been running a poll for some time now about the value of 1 bitcoin by 2020 and it's safe to say a lot of different opinions and guesses are made.
This poll completes the other one and i'm really looking forward to everyone's input in this.

Tnx for your input  Cool

Even 2% is a large number. I calculated 1% of total world population and it is somewhere at 70 Million which is still a huge number. Voted for the first but I think that 0.x% will own bitcoin, this will impact directly the bitcoin price. Until 2020 we hope that the block size will be increased and more promotion of bitcoin happens.
1547  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why are you investing in Bitcoin? on: July 03, 2016, 04:09:16 PM
Since the price of Bitcoin changes a lot, so I know most of you are investing large amounts of money in Bitcoin.
But why are you doing this? to make money by selling them after a price increase? or is it just to have something to do on the internet?
And since the price can increase and decrease, you can lose this invested money, what would you do?

Because i can myself control my money, comparing to paypal which they can anytime limit your fund and ask for many different verification, also the banks require the same and they can bankrupt and your money will gone. Through bitcoin i think that i feel safer and another reason is that transaction fees are much lower and fast.

Yup its best an currency when it comes to an money transfers  but its also the best option when it comes to an investment as you can earn best profits in future when price goes higher.

Bitcoin for me is considered also as an asset which i can invest there and see if I can get profit not immediately but in the near future. We can't know for sure that the bitcoin price will be increased or not in the future but the hope strengthens me to buy and invest more in bitcoin.
1548  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 500Btc loan on: July 03, 2016, 04:05:41 PM
Do you have any collateral to offer? If you don't have any collateral then it is better to move this thread to archival before someone give you red trust for asking high amount of loan without collateral

oops, yeah well i was thinking about a proper loan contract with KYC and stuff. After receiving the BTC i will cash out and start paying my rates, I believe that the btc price is going to fall within the next months.

No way man, things doesn't work like this. The maximum you can ask for a loan by providing your account as collateral is somewhere at 0.02x so requesting a loan of 30,500€ you are asking in a wrong place.

actually its more in the area of 305.000 € if i got the price right. and i know that for some people around the world its rather hard to convert that amount of btc back into cash. for me its not, i got a good paying job, so if anyone is interested just pm me..

In fact that is 0.3 Million Euros, since you have a good paying job then why requesting a loan from our community, go and ask to your friends or anywhere else, if you don't want your account to receive negative trust then lock this thread and don't ask this kind of loan ever.
1549  Economy / Speculation / Re: PANIC BUYING !!!!!!! on: July 03, 2016, 03:51:29 PM
I am sure there are a lot out there who have bought a lot at 730+ thinking it will grow more maybe also thinking it will sky rocket at $1000 but I hope that they dont lose faith. Let the bitcoins stay and you get it back.
I think that today is not a good day for bitcoin, neither there is any panic buying because the price is -50 USD comparing with the same time yesterday. If panic buying happens then the price would be increased like few days before but unfortunately this is not happening and today maybe because it is Sunday.
1550  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: .08kwh on: July 03, 2016, 03:35:52 PM
Huh  is .08 kwh cost effective for bitcoin mining, also if its a business that draws lots of power it is .04 per kwh?

8 cent per kWh is quite expensive, most of your bitcon earnings by mining will go paying the electricity, but if the price is 4 cents per kWh then its cheaper and you can start mining. What's your mining rig(s) to start mining?
1551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in all alts on: July 03, 2016, 12:38:50 PM
Hi

I noticed a lot of movement in altcoins and I'm wondering how stupid or how smart would it be to invest in all altcoins.
The idea would be to invest the same small amount in each altcoin.
Then I'm not sure what would be the best strategy from there. I'm pretty sure most coins would bring losses but the ones that grow would maybe cover that plus some?

Investing in altcoins at this time can be risky because the exchange rate is low because of the bitcoin price but the exchange rate can go even lower if the bitcoin price get increased in this halving and after it. But if bitcoin price dumps then a profit by selling these coins can be greater.

I just received the same message on my email address, the link was not from blockchain. I'm not sure where did they get my email address. The sender email can be easily manipulated but the link they sent is hashocean-refunds which is phishing/scam link.
1554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Final countdown [10 Days before the halving] on: June 29, 2016, 12:06:19 PM
Hopefully, this rocket is going to reach the moon : http://www.thehalvening.com/#1  Roll Eyes

I will continue to change the title each 24 hours (decrease one day) , who is excited like I am !

All of us are excited about the halving but I have a feeling that no big surprises will happen during the halving, we already saw what hashocean did so other cloud mining will act the same way, i also don't expect the price to be too high at the moment of halving but after few weeks/months.
1555  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: June 29, 2016, 11:39:35 AM
Since i can't pay bills with my bitcoin wallet (yet), my bank account is the most important of these two. It would be good oif a party would be enable bankpayments by bitcoin.

This is the main reason i prefer a bank wallet way more then a bitcoin wallet. Bitcoin is good, but you need to be able to use it, before you store money.
My salary goes to my bank account and I am happy to say all my bills are paid from there.

Whilst my bitcoin money is more as an investment, just like buying shares.

Bills can be paid also with bitcoin, there are few online services that offer you to deposit your bitcoins and send them the details of you bills and the rest of job was done by them, also through bitx or ecoin card this can be done too by withdrawing the cash and then paying the bills.
1556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bid and Ask of Exchange sites on: June 29, 2016, 11:32:56 AM
Exchanges should encourage newbies to trade in their website because we all were newbies when we started to trade altcoin to bitcoin, not allowing traders to see the order book can make them to not trade because it is more risky in this case.
1557  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Bitcoin price is too high? on: June 29, 2016, 11:26:41 AM
For u personally what is a Bitcoin price that u would consider too high?

What can be the maximum Bitcoin's worth?

~CfA~

Seems that most people think that everything $1k and up is too high but i dont think so, the price should be more than $1k, its good for most people including miners but what I consider the price too high is 10k+ which I voted for.
1558  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved? on: June 29, 2016, 11:20:23 AM
Well I saved none in bitcoin. I saved none because I always trade it to fiat and I am earning it just for free. I don't want to buy a single penny of bitcoin im just earning them for free.

It's your decision to save or not but I would save as much as can because most of us think that bitcoin has the potential to go again to >$1k, so I do, about the topic I haven't saved a large amount but as much as i could, hope to get a profit from them soon.
1559  Other / Meta / Re: HELP--- MY activity not increasing..??? on: June 27, 2016, 02:19:03 PM
Hello, your account is not banned, lol.

Quote from theymos:
"The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)"

Source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237597.0

TL;DR -

Activity gets updated once every two weeks. You need to only post once in the period for the activity to rise 14 points in the next cycle. You can't increase activity by posting more, it doesn't work that way, it's fixed at 14 points every 2 weeks.

Hope that helps.

thnx guys u r awesome. and one more thing is after 2 weeks my recent post should be added on activity section or should be deleted those post after 14....Huh

You dont have to delete any post to increase your activity. After 2 weeks (on the next period) your activity will be max 28 or the number of your posts, min(28, your posts)
