Could use a little help.....

Had some free time this weekend from work to mess with my D1800 BTC board, i am on mSata now on windows 10 and i still cant get anything more than 2 cards to mine or fully install, ive restarted numerious time, uninstalled them and just cant seem to get past the triangles...

smos not windows  should work.

the cpu is not that good.

but did you set a big virtual file  16 gb or bigger?

Yes i did, i set it to 100,000mb

you have to into bios and set the max tolud thing 3.5?gb under memory settings and theres one other setting i forget
1602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 Blissz firmware (02/11 v1.1 update) on: December 03, 2017, 07:13:59 PM
Hy guys
I don't understand, why better this firmware than the stock firmware? Because the profit on19,3Ghs with 1200w is equal 17Ghs on 750W-1,5 fee.

yeah this is the only question i have but the efficency numbers are crazy with this firmare:

stock
19600 ms at 1200 watt - .0612  watt/ms or 16.33  ms/watt

18500 ma at 920 watt - .049 watt/ms or 20 ms/Watt

15000 ma at 700 watt - .046 watt/ms or 21 mhs/watt

thats roughly a 20 percent increase in efficency which also traanlatea to longer life on the chips
which equals more time to roi , as well as less heat

now all i need are some numbers on the dev fee to see the true gains

Yes, at like 9 bucks a day, its less than a penny per d3 miner per day. and my miner makes no noise, and I can turn it down really low for the night to be low power consumption when there is no sun to collect.

still worth it.

M

30 cents a month... thats cool.

I saw this russian building an new controller alltogether for the d3 so it could mine scrypt, quark, and x13/15, etc. He wants 300 bucks a unit. I am considering this as well.

If you have 100 units I understand your concern. But a couple, this is worth it in all cases.

M
lol who is this russian you speak of
1603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 Blissz firmware (02/11 v1.1 update) on: December 03, 2017, 06:35:02 PM
There is still a problem (with new version of FW) when some miners go to backup pool every 1 hour.

Can you copy paste PM your full kernel log?

please take max priority to switch other algo ;-)

You can't do that...

Marty ,

Breath.

He has been totally upfront and transparent about it, if you read the thread.

He is taking 1.5% of your time per hour.

It's for his coding time.

Totally fair and reasonable.

For adding variables to things that were fixed variables and recompile the binary?
if somone can create a fee free version lol go for it

+1  Grin

If sound is a concern, its same 'profit' for less noise.

I'm only using this on two D3s that had instability problems.  Was able to bump voltage on unstable chains and lower it on stable chains and get all chains hashing stably with a lot less HW errors.  So it has that utility as well.  Can't see switching any other miners over to this firmware though as they are running stable at ~19.3.
19.3 at 1200 watts is bad though
1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: December 03, 2017, 12:52:12 PM
Just finished a quick test yesterday with few rigs: 8x MSI P106-100 6Gb. I like the design, and price is reasonable with ~215$/GPU.

Stock setting: 21.5 Mh/s
At OC setting: Power limit 75%, Core: +0, Mem: +700, the hashrate of each GPU is very stable at about 25.5Mh/s.

I cant find these anywhere, who sells them
1606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 03, 2017, 12:44:35 PM
plus one delta will power two 10 card 1070 rigs easy
1607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 03, 2017, 12:42:31 PM
I have a board works  8 slots  server a delta.
Got it at alibaba.
I felt seller was sleazy
and the board that came was a little different then to board that was pictured.

This made me not  want to order 10 more.

I also cost  30 more then the  Onda.

I have been able to run the onda with

set 1070's at 110 watts and use some 1989 tis at 200 watts
http://www.corsair.com/en-us/ax1200i-digital-atx-power-supply-1200-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-modular-psu-na-refurbished

set 1070's at 105 watts on smos linux
http://www.corsair.com/en-us/rmi-series-rm1000i-1000-watt-80-plus-gold-certified-fully-modular-psu-na-refurbished

I also found the onda is good with 7 cards  rather then 8

that allows me  to use the rm1000i    psu at   under 800 watts

so the psu is  149 which is now cheaper then the delta by 40
the board is 30 cheaper

so I save 70  with the onda and 7 cards

if you had 56 cards

generic  from sleazy guy    7 boards of 8 cards    so 7 x 70 =  490  more

onda   you need 8 boards  so

ram     40
cpu    100
board 170

total   310

so the onda  is cheaper  running 7 cards with the corasir

and the generic  cost more running 8 cards with the server

if you could get the deltas for 165  and not 190  the generic would cost the same
but I would still worry about the seller

nice analysis but id still prefer the delta or 1200 watt since with risers i could run say 10 cards

who cares if they deliver 1month later..

1 month later has past already. Original date was end of October, then it was mid November, now it's beginning of December and still waiting. You see the trend here???

Also, another week with no way bill here.

true..
yeah, i'm also waiting for my 2 units.
i ordered for december shipping, then argued them to put me on the november list because i was one of the geniuses that buyed 2 giant+ for 14.000$
now im back in december after all..
of course it sucks, but i'm not worried that much, its still my favourite asic company and not like some resellers.
and because of my smart investment on the giant+  ROI will take some time anyway..

I'm selling my Giant+ units to make room on the switch for more NVidia GPU miners. Got 1 left on amazon with US PS/Cord for $2,999 if you want to grab it. Wink

It's flipping between X13/Qubit/Quark and making $6-12$ / day. But the GPU Rigs will do $40+, so time to free up network & power plugs lol.

giants are no where worth 2999 lol more like 1k
1610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 Blissz firmware (02/11 v1.1 update) on: December 03, 2017, 07:40:30 AM
so i have 4 machines on this firmware

1 seems to have a bad chain

other two chains are strong

on average i am getting around 17500 m/s and 880 watts

averrage freqency is 481 and power at 6-8 max

one D3 is the silicon lottery

it can do 18600 m/s at 900 watts

great firmware so far.

You really should do a firmware for the S9 as well to reduce power wasted and also hardware errors man you are pro !!!!

Just for reference i was doing 19600 h/s at 1200 watts on my 96% platinum pus's

now I am averaging 17600 m/s at 880-920 watts max.

whats nice is i can put each unit in a single 1000 watt PSU now if i wanted

- only big issue i see so far is chain 1

I dont think the top chain is reporting the corret temps , its ether super low at like 30 degerees or way high 95-101
when all the other chains are in the 60s or 70s so its hard to tune it
1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 Blissz firmware (29/11 v1.01 update) on: December 02, 2017, 03:15:19 PM
so a funny thing another D3 chain one was dead, using default FW i set freq to 400 in preparation of upgrading to blitz , chain 1 comes alive...

then i upgrade and no matter what power or lower freqency i set chain 1 still only shows 14 asics alive and stays dead,

flashed back to orig FW and tried the freqency trick again no luck

any tips ?

Lower the frequency a bit more on that board. set it to 300 for example

300 still nothing on that chain 1 board

even as low as 137 still dead

really strange as this board worked at 400 on the stock FW

what is your voltage setting? have you tried to send more juice to that chain, try 15 or 16 on the power settings...

voltage was default , i tried 15 and 17 voltage on 400 freqency , maybe shut the miner down ?

I'd try to shut the miner down, wait for 5min, check all cables and connection, then power up again... Try this a few times.
If one board is really not visible and you tried everything from settings, the reason might be a defective controller board. In this case, I'd suggest to flash back original FW, make screenshots and start a support ticket with bitmain.
ok , too tired atm ill try your suggestions tomorow thank you

tried this software

chain 1 shows a low pcb temp but temps on chip

never go below 100 unless i really reduce the freqency  all the way below 350

fans are set to auth performace and my room is very cool

all the other chain temps are low even at 500+ freqncy and 8 - 9 voltage
1616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which graphics card is best? on: December 02, 2017, 07:44:43 AM
RX 470/570 23-30 h/s  also optimal hash/watt
1070 @ 28-30h/s
1060 @ 18-22 h/s

It should be mh/s not h/s in ETH

AMD RX cards requires modification in order to achieve higher hashrate upto 30mh/s, GPU price ranging 250-300USD

GTX 1070 cards can do also upto 30mh/s without modification and by tuning clocks only, GPU price range 310-500

there are online calculators out there to check your present profitability on each card

goodluck to your mining journey

I've never seen a GTX 1070 in the 310 range, especially not recently, from ANY source.
AMD cards HAVE been dropping noticeably under 250 the past couple weeks, as low as $209 on Newegg on Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend though they bounced back up a little since then (the LOWEST 1070 on Newegg is $399 for comparison).

RX series cards DO need a BIOS modification to achieve top hashrates, but 22-24 with a STOCK card is common with just overclocking/undervolting.

yeah best hash per $ is amd but 1070s run at way less powerand are
so much easier to get running.

its a tough call
1617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: December 01, 2017, 09:25:24 PM
These things are not so bad now.. not great, but not as bad as everyone expected. Now if you guys wouldve kept off the prohashing or zpool and kept dash. Your profits wouldve sky rocketed. But anyways mine dash keep dash! Thats all you need to do. As for bitmain they fking finally shipped my psu, after 3 weeks of waiting withm d3 sittinng in the boxes still. I can finally start running all of my d3s.. super excited. Cant wait till they hit the dash network.

thats what i plan to do with my miners, whats the best dash pool?
suprnova?
1618  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 35 Bitmain 1600W APW3++ PSU will escrow $220 on: December 01, 2017, 12:05:05 PM
they sell at $100 from bitmain

If you can sell for $160 or so i'll buy 4

Hi, what is the power consumption of 19.3 Model (Nov.batch) at 15Ghs hashrate?

Cheers W_M

around 1250W

Are you sure? Mine is October batch (19_3 model) and factory settings it was at 17GH/s and 1050w. Now I've tweaked it to 20GH/s at 1100w

wich settings do you use for the 20GH/s at 1100W?

@blissz i have seen when the first pool is down it stucks on the dev fee pool!
is it maybe possible to push a little bit the Auto fan performance settings to a little bit higher rpm? (it would be nice a little bit more power)
great job blissz!

20GH at 1100 watts is impressive is this with factory firmware ?
1620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: December 01, 2017, 09:19:29 AM
the 6gb cards seem best, i have three brands and all do 23.5 eth with 600 mem
and 80 percent powerlimit 73 watt per card
