1641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: November 20, 2022, 07:26:21 AM

sure did ruined the mood of the crowd. seem very shady that they waited for the last minute before announcing. they crowd would have been walking out if they just knew the main event is Cutelaba.

but i guess they already know the result even if derrick and spivak will not fight. they know derrick will be beaten terribly.
1642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What happens if binance and tether goes down on: November 20, 2022, 06:57:52 AM

bitcoin was just fine before binance but if tether go bankrupt, the market may struggle to have a bullrun since mostly may just be using other stablecoin that has less supply. i'm not going to even think binance will collapse. they are not doing what Bankman was doing.
1643  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter Crypto head and staff resigns on: November 19, 2022, 04:26:05 PM
not sure how this news going to affect crypto. even the doge fans are not even aware there is a Twitter crypto team.

elon will not care either if they all resign, he may be happy for what is going to happen. once BTC and whichever coins he'd fused to twitter, there will be lesser people to pay. he wants to automate things and will just run a program to operate.
1644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market will come back bigger again on: November 19, 2022, 04:09:30 PM
What has happened recently it’s really something that it’s only in crypto with that kind of fast volatile movement. I think that’s unique to crypto markets since it is 24/7. For sure there are those type of insider trading and other stuff that you have mentioned in Cryptos, but it’s just really hard to pinpoint it.

I think when all of this is over, it’s going to be a boring again and people hopefully would get more into it again. One of the greatest time to buy it now I think.

you mean the FTX fiasco to be over?  its going to take long. media is overly up to blast it so the senate and congress will finally put a regulatory body. that's what SBF is bribing for.

coming back bigger is what all believers of crypto is hoping for. one could only wish he has more money right now to buy while at this low point. but the fear still here yet. they are still waiting for the cascading effect of FTX, the crypto doomsayers had been saying it.
1645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis VS Hector Luis Garcia SAT, JAN 07, 2023 on: November 19, 2022, 02:50:19 PM

well fans wanted to see davis vs garcia so they give. its the promotion that got confused actually. so to calm down the nagging fans, they scheduled 2 garcias. now be grateful.  Grin

2 fights in less than 6 months. tank davis as great fighter that he is, he can take it. hector garcia is like a pre-fight and then the final is ryan. not bad at all. heck why not put 3 of them in the ring ahead of schedule.

1646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good days to bitcoin will be back soon. on: November 18, 2022, 03:30:15 PM

the regulation i think should just be limited to stablecoin and exchanges not the miners, not on non custodial wallets or token stakers and leave the privacy to the users outside their scope. scratch  all that.

no regulation at all will be better. ripple(XRP) losing against SEC, fight may just be over and altcoins will succumbed. BTC will be regulated if green energy government prevail and miners are regulated.

What other solutions can you think of?

crypto. best way and something that can be deposited instantly with the minimum risk. coins are received without the need of 3rd party,

credit card users are getting lesser. people are not paying their debts anymore. with so many companies laying off, the credit cards are abused to buy the supplies at least it saved the jobless. they need the supplies.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: November 18, 2022, 02:45:36 PM
It's unlikely to go the distance, both fighters are always ready to engage but most of their knockouts from the counter
punches, I'm sure both fighters will respect the punches I see Ryan being on the offensive here because he is the taller guy and with good reach advantage, but between the two its Tank who has the experience I feel that even if there is a knock out if the early stage of the fight is very even there will be a rematch, there are times when there is rematch even if there's a knockout, we'll see who is the most explosive puncher.

Ryan is more explosive. Apparently not quick enough against Davis but they will be cautious to each other. any of them fights the same way, same pattern, he'd be predictable. whoever wins will have a title shot against Haney?

this fight will determine whether the public still has to desire for PPV despite the rocky economy. Oscar and Floyd decide too late for this to happen.
1649  Economy / Economics / Re: Fed and central Banks need to do something on: November 17, 2022, 06:58:31 PM
this is a lot harder to solve for a country that already reached its peak of the economy. so used to luxurious life they move their factories to China so they can sit with their feet on the table. happens to rich countries i guess its one reason to get slaves.

there is the need to restart again. but it can only happen if the country has resources to produce from agriculture to mining industry.

but mm to hell with economy, money can be printed anyway, they are just papers. lets brrr.. lets do it!
1650  Economy / Gambling / Re: If you were building a Sportsbook... on: November 17, 2022, 06:33:16 PM

I think to find the API for sports events and bookmakers some praise the iSports API as it covers the full range of sports data in more than 900 different international and national competitions, cups and leagues in all major football federations around the world. There are also free APIs from Betfair, Matchbook and Pinnacle that allow you to provide odds and place bets.

Thank you for the response! I will check these out.

live betting would be cool. but the odds will drastically change while the game is happening. i have not seen like this in crypto but sure this will be fun when you decide to bet before the game start and when you see you are losing you bet again for the other team. the fun part is when the result is draw.

i have no idea actually but this is what you are looking for?
1651  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Ukraine win the war with NATO's covert assistance? on: November 16, 2022, 06:51:03 PM
the leaders are laughing. but zelensky is the guy. brave soul. Biden and Xi gives thumbs up to him.
the latest was that when missile hit Poland, NATO was quick to tell the world Ukraine and Russia uses the same made in Russia missiles.

all of the leaders are in g20 meeting in Indonesia including Putin and Xi. they could just be talking there and decide to stop after all they have seen the effects and result of this war. this meeting is just the same as a regular meet up with acquaintances. i can only imagine Putin brags about his weapons. here's a dialogue.

Putin: hey did you see my Kinzhal shoot? finally tested it! awesome!
Xi: (pats Putin's back)
Steinmeier: you hypersonic better explode because if one gets into our hands, we can reverse engineer it.
Biden: sure sure sure so ahh are we ready for the great reset?
Putin: no no no. i want kherson too.
Biden: (face palm) people we talked about this...

1652  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎁 BIRTHDAY for $1 000 000| Trip to Las Vegas & BMW M8 😎 on: November 16, 2022, 06:11:10 PM

There is absolutely no way to make money from gambling that is long term, it's clear that there will always be trouble in the long run because the math is right there, it's guaranteed. Sure you could make money here and there from time to time and there is no denying that, but that doesn't mean that we should be hoping for that to be like an income or something. I once made 1700 dollars from a simple bet on a slot, it just kept growing and growing, does that mean I should just quit my job and hope that I get that result every month? Of course not, its just pure luck, but if you keep doing it, will be your loss.

you as a share holding of a casino however can make money though. and this is what betfury is offering to its BFG investors. and for gamblers, an opportunity.

the ones who retire all because he think he can make an income thru gambling are the people who don't like their job in the first place. but for someone who likes their job and take pride to wear the uniforms stays on their job.
1653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risks of self-custody outweigh the risk of exchanges on: November 16, 2022, 05:59:25 PM
The real truth is that there are very few methods that are 100% safe. Both methods have their pros and cons. It all comes down to risk. The risk of self-custody is that you are going solo.

you are not going solo
things like key seeds means you literally just have to make a few copies of 12 words

its not very hard to hide the 12 words. i can pick up the most uninteresting 2002 salesmanship book in my shelf and just write the few words in the 10th page and another on the page 20.  the worrisome is how can someone in my family knows its there.

i couldn't really blame some people find it easy to trust exchanges. but sure self custody is much safer, its what many have learned in the forum as a culture in crypto.
1654  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gemini Earn Program Pausing Withdrawals on: November 16, 2022, 04:29:04 PM
Didn't Binance boss already tweet saying he's prepping a relief package for exchanges? I know Gemini's not one of the big boys these days but they've always been one of the old boys in crypto. At this point, am kind of glad even these big names falling now are already expected news, but I can't say I even dare to suggest what might happen if one of the names supposedly providing Proof of Reserves also signals it's ready to kick the bucket.

But the bright news for crypto holders... the massive crypto bank runs that have happened have more or less happened and been honoured, right? I mean we all here are sitting on solely-controlled coins, right?

almost unbelievable that the twins are also insolvent,  are they?

because they've been very wealthy as early investors of BTC and of course every cycle they have the all the opportunity to accumulate from the panicked sellers. there seem to be no reason for them be like FTX. most of those dominos that halted withdrawals are base on US, does any body thinks they are mandated by US government to prep for auditing and regulation?
1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULD I GO AHEAD TO BUY AND HOLD SOLANA? on: November 16, 2022, 03:44:15 PM
Guys what's your opinion about SOL? Is it a good buy or heading in the same direction as LUNA

Not saying that it will go the same direction as Luna, but you have to think about it, they have been hack or at least involved of some funds lost.

So it's hard to see where they are going to be, or better yet a good hold for you.

I guess it depends on your long term goal, or just listen and feel what the community see about Solana. Personally, I'm not a big fan of it, just in the beginning when they had their own good run, but I sold everything, and never reinvest, just saying.

just bear in mind what is said above. SOL is a pumped token, so many NFTs created on SOL making the demand for SOL's utility but because of its affiliation to FTX, we may not see it goes back up. this you can related to SOL being on steroid. it may have a high value for now ($13.80) but it could dive still.

a lot of speculators bought SOL at $30 because they taught its the gonna go up already. so while nothing yet is happening like updates from teams roadmap or BTC bullrun. better just hold your stablecoins.

1656  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are there lots of accounts that seem abandoned? on: November 15, 2022, 06:11:49 PM
back in the early days of bitcointalk, the forum allows users to register without verifying accounts from email.

you as a user can register with an email you can create on the spot like random letters. for example fuckoffefnkdfoiahrerererfand@gmx.com and you can already use the forum. if you forget the password, you have no way of recovering the account. and so if you want to participate again, you will have to register another account.
1657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Can Be Done To Reduce Gambling Related Issues Like Suicide etc? on: November 15, 2022, 05:35:40 PM
there had been lots of prevention, google banning gambling related ads must be one of the effort. the popularity and the gambling business is just too lucrative that even on teens, gambling becomes very usual.

Steam gambling for instance, there are already CSGO skin casinos where the teens playing. winning cheeky CSGO skins lured them to gambling. the Valve   knew about teens gambling but because they profit from it, they don't warn the gamers.

Just to add on what you have mentioned, while there may be a prohibition of ads that has been happening especially on large streaming websites such as Twitch, proactive steps must be taken in order to fully support a person who is deeply addicted to gambling. This kind of support is outside the scope of online- help should come from their family members and peers in order to prevent any suicide-related deaths due to gambling addiction.

A person who is addicted to gambling should at least be open to their family members; and the latter should be more understanding about their situation. Just like any other addiction, continuous help and support are needed in order to overcome this problem.

a teen gambling for just a month will already seeing himself making money out of it. it can become a complex problem when they get addicted and parents have no idea because parents thinks they are just playing online games and with the good influence crowd. teens won't tell it to their parents either that they actually gambling.

and this is why suicide help is not working for these kind of people because they are already judged when someone knows they are gambling even their parents. hard to treat the addiction when its on their system since their younger days. a constant monitor to kids will be an option assort of gambling addiction prevention.
1658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The pump of Trust Wallet Token (TWT) on: November 15, 2022, 04:31:54 PM
so i have read it today in cointele a newly published article today. and CZ had promoted this Trust wallet also, not surprising anymore that this is becoming a popular wallet instead of the BTC wallet.

they prefer trust wallet not just because they have BTC but also some BEP tokens.

1659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The pump of Trust Wallet Token (TWT) on: November 14, 2022, 04:27:35 PM

as of the time, its 111.64% with a price of $2.46. last week it was just $1.04.
i didn't join to their chat channel but one user said, people are moving to their own installed wallet due to what happen to FTX so they are now using Trust wallet.

i don't know why of all wallet why this one. is binance messing?
