1641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some say Bitcoin is dead but Bitcoin is not dead on: September 18, 2022, 08:49:32 AM
When the price of bitcoin drop to $18k many said bitcoin will crash  0. I don't really blame people who talk bad about bitcoin, they think criticising bitcoin will make people not to buy bitcoin.  With all the bad things they say about bitcoin,  people still go for bitcoin as the best digital currency.
This kind of thing will always be with us, because until now there are still many people who do not like bitcoin. And when bitcoin experiences a bloodbath, of course it becomes an opportunity that will be used to create new fears. Yes they assume that bitcoin will soon meet its end.
And it's true we can't blame people like that, only time will tell, bad words about bitcoin.
Those people are waiting for a chance to be right, they have been too late to bitcoin and couldn't make any profit from it like we did, so what they want to see is bitcoin dying so that they could say "I was smart by not investing into bitcoin, you are an idiot for investing into something that died" and every time it goes down they believe such a thing is possible.

But, the reality is that we just had a drop in the prices just like any other market, look at other markets and you will see it too, and that was the main reason why I believe that we have invested into bitcoin because it moves like other markets when it is about direction but the amount it moves is huge.
Besides, if we talk about Risks, not only Bitcoin but all forms of investment. I let people look down on Bitcoin and talk negatively bout it as they still don't know what they are talking about. It was certainly dying in their views but for us, it was a growing investment that possibly changed our future. Keeping ignorant of the market and what happened recently gives no better future to these people instead, they'll somehow regret it once they know that Bitcoin had survived the dip and doing nothing.
1642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitgert or Shiba on: September 18, 2022, 08:14:46 AM
Is Bitgert better than Shiba inu after all? If we have to compare these two it's clear that the winner will be Bitgert, it's utility is purely better than that of Shiba, how many of you know about Bitgert and which one do you feel is better? .
I'd choose Shiba Inu for this time as it has already established market demand and is available on major exchanges. Might to think Bitgert is one of the growing and promising project in the future but who know exactly what gonna happen this project knowing that it is just about to start and the sad reality is that it was hard to gain trust and attraction if nobody like an influential person helps to promote it. That gonna be a changing game for this project while Shiba Inu has already reached that level.
1643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 17, 2022, 01:37:37 PM
Despite the many supporters of Ginebra, the team seems to have a hard time winning the championship, because let's face it, the new teams that entered the PBA field are not for nothing because they are undeniably strong. the players can also be considered and the Ginebra Team is also very difficult to beat.

Can you mention those new teams that are undeniably strong? Converge is the only new franchise in the league.

It's been several seasons and conferences already that teams from MVP and SMC are always battling in the Finals.

Ginebra also made championships every season since 2015 but in different conferences.

New imports I think but no new team, even Converge are a new team but their players are old.

Ginebra is very successful because of their good import Justin Brownlee, so these coming commissioners cup, let's see if we have a new import that could beat Brownlee as definitely that will not make Ginebra a champion again.
A big challenge to many imports and many teams, but it's still possible since Ginebra will not always be a champion. Imports should play better because they are being hired to play and help the team, that's their main purpose. Converge team is new but already a composed of good players. Let's see if different teams will go for the finals this time or we might ended up with the same team over again, they should challenge the dominance of Ginebra in commissioners cap.

This time, I don't think Ginebra will win the championship again despite having Brownlee who is undeniably a good import, why? Because with a healthy Fajardo, he can still dominate inside and with the help of their import, it will be easier for him. If we have a championship odds now, I'm guessing SMB will be the top favorites to win.
1644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 17, 2022, 12:49:11 PM
Right now I see things very complicated, especially for betting, I have seen how many people wait for the statistics, to give themselves a guide of what they can do, but who can the money and will risk it is ourselves as bettors, I in In case I do my personal research, that includes doing research online, interviews, something you may have seen, maybe some kind of training videos, everything that has to do with boxers.

Is that statement of yours referring to betting in this particular right?

There's no need to complicate everything. Research about this fight is nonsense as the result is very clear. Depends on the betting line, I doubt bookies will open a betting for Inoue winning by TKO in a matter of 6 rounds with decent odds.

Odds for Inoue winning by TKO in the early rounds maybe will just be around 1.4 - 1.5.

We will find out this December, right now, the only available odds are the moneyline odds which is 1.02 for Inoue per my bookie. Maybe bettors will just be predicting which round Inoue will KO Butler as most likely Inoue will again win by KO. I believe he can do it with Butler as he does it with Donaire which is a better fighter than Butler IMO.
1645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So the ETH merge has finally happened on: September 17, 2022, 12:28:44 PM
I don't expect anything new as regards ethereum in term of moving from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake until a major development from the Bitcoin. The merge from proof of work to group of stake will make all the ethereum miners who do nothing beyond mining to migrate to another coin from which they can mine.

And a fork from ethereum will bring a boom in the price of ethereum as people will possibly want to hold more to maximise their benefit from the fork.

Of course, the effect of Merge is not directly felt, many experts say that it takes big more than just a merge process that does not bring a significant impact, and of course I don't really think about this process, the most important thing is that transaction costs are cheaper than before.
Maybe you are right but the appreciation of the people is somewhat negative as they are expecting a price hike, not a dump. It was too unfortunate to see the price of ETH drop eventually after the merge and many people felt disappointed with this. We're not sure if the drop will just stay in a few days and rises again but there is one thing I can only say - I trust this project despite its current situation. I keep holding for I believe someday it reaches back to $2,000 ( and more).
1646  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome a Bear Market in Cryptocurrency on: September 17, 2022, 11:38:33 AM
Bear market is actually not bad. For those who trade, bear market is an opportunity to invest and profit here. I think the easiest way to overcome a bear market is to hold. If you invest in something in bear market then you must hold without fear then surely you can profit. And for beginners, bear markets are the perfect time to invest.
Invest and hold, these are the thing we are supposed to do if we have trust in crypto but if not, better stay away and wait for the bull season.
Some people will think this is an opportunity but some also felt it was a disaster for them, especially if they bought coins during the hype or bull run. I have had that experience before and you can really felt being hopeless and a decision to sell. You'll somehow not be sure what you gonna do due to fear and worries. That is why I would say that experience could really help us a lot.
1647  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: September 16, 2022, 11:40:45 PM
I have many friends who are always actively participating in self-development seminars for success and have passive income, but for almost 4 years I have seen no significant developments, on the other hand I also have friends who are not educationally good but whose wealth continues to increase and already have dozens of employees even though he's only in the fruit and vegetable business.
Because people who are too educated will end up trying to find that one thing which will make them rich, and they risk putting in money to make more money. What the difference probably is that your friends who do not have any business that makes them profit would be working and earning a decent salary, not rich, but decent enough, whereas your friends who own business' would be not educated as much and they wouldn't earn a good salary, so only way to make any good income would be starting a business and risking everything.

The grocery store around my street makes more money than most educated friend I know, all because they are more brave when it comes to investing.
Well, education is also a big factor in why a person could think about a way to earn more money rather than just being an employee. However, sometimes it  was also a hindrance to their success for some of these educated people are having high pride and they want instant success - impatient. That is why we have seen that some of the small business players or market vendors have more money than them for they don't look for an elegant job, unlike professional people.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 16, 2022, 09:37:19 PM

Naoya's fights rarely end in 12 rounds, a KO could happen somewhere before the 6th round if Butler fights toe to toe.
Fight is few months away but Stake is too excited to list the fight  Inoue 1.02 vs Butler 12.00. If this is not going to change by 1st week of Dec, I'd be hoping for an upset betting $10 for Butler.

Huge call, good luck mate, when everyone is on Inoue, I think that 12.00 odds of Butler is really attractive. After all, Butler is also a champ although we can say that Inoue could really dominate him, but who knows, it's an undisputed fight, for sure Butler has been preparing with hard training as well.

Anyway, good luck with that, an upset will make Inoue's ranking go down and will make people stop hyping his name that he is the next Manny Pacquiao.
1649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 16, 2022, 09:17:17 PM
Well, what can we think of him? The same goes for A.Chua that has always been winning with the teams that they're incorporated.

Very vocal in front the media that they are willing to help and can send their players for the National but when the time comes, they didn't stop the game and continue for the finals, if only they allow Fajardo, Perez, Poguy and Erram. That 4 stars can help and make big damage in helping the National against Lebanon. Not here to bring back those past games, but I'm just trying to express my opinion with both Marcial and A.Chua. They don't have that commitment.

They are more on the business and how they can suck the money of those giant companies who are feeding them.

In our language "Mga asong amu-amuhan" nothing will be change if the commissioner and his boards are afraid. Maybe it's better for the government to takeover this league and bring the right balance.
Nah, they've been called out in the senate for this and that's why they've been vocal. But honestly, all they're favoring are the huge and rich teams, especially with the trades. Well, they're worried now because too many players are playing now in B League and other leagues offshore as the player numbers are likely to deteriorate in the near future. Jay Washington who's even likely a veteran already has been offered to play in the B League and has got better pay than what he's receiving in the PBA. It's likely that B League is going to get and extract even veteran and retired PBA players soon.

With what is happening, PBA will surely find a way to make changes to improve the league, they might not be able to match the salary standards offered by B-League and other leagues overseas, but they have to find a way to make players stay by adding more teams to accommodate more players, that way we won't easily notice who leaves the PBA due to lots of good players still in the league.
1650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Going 3x this month for swing trading worth it? on: September 15, 2022, 11:21:13 PM
At this point it sounds like a good strategy. Also, if at all bitcoin price goes until 14000 you still have the option to add more funds to secure your funds from liquidation.
The chances of bitcoin going to 14000 are slim but as we all know, anything can happen in the crypto community.
But yeah, if bitcoin goes bullish then it will yield some nice profits from this strategy.
The op have a nice leverage and with a liquidation price of $14,000, it will take almost impossible for the market to pull back to that amount even though we're in a bear market and Bitcoin price is unpredictable. But this strategy looks decent to me although with high risk and potential profits. If you have taken a close look at the Bitcoin market since the beginning of September, you would have noticed that Bitcoin has built a strong resistance at the 20k level even though that benchmark have been broken last week when Bitcoin pull below $20,000 but even with that Bitcoin reclaimed back it 20k position and even touched $22,000 plus last week.

We must always have the risk mindset and only trade what we can afford to lose, future trading is hard for beginners, and there can easily lose money which is why it is better to trade with a small amount of capital.
Patience is the key to success. And I think OP has that mindset and a reason why he never uses stop-loss to protect from losing but rather they take the risk and wait for the ATH to come. It is how he strategies his trading and he must stick to it just to prove and make it possible, it is somehow possible as I believe it. Yet, it really needs more time to reach. So I guess OP must wait for another month to achieve his target and he really needs to be strong and committed to what he is doing, otherwise he fails.
1651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 15, 2022, 04:27:47 AM

Barring asides those odds, maybe there are fans that are throwing enough money on him, but it was offset because of the huge money that is flowing on Canelo. Maybe whales are betting ML on Canelo with big amounts of money and then GGG fans, just good amount of bets.

And if we look at some of the predictions, they are leaning towards Canelo winning this fight so the odds won't change a bit as we gets closer to the fight night.

Depends on how the pressure from the bettors. As of this moment I see your point there's a huge amount of money who trusted Canelo.

Balance or maybe bookies seen that GGG's bettors are still with same weight of bets, we never know if on the day of the fight if there's big

bets for GGG that may affects the odd and maybe changes will take place, or if you can wait additional betting odds might be presented from

different gambling sites.

I will put my bet on GGG, I will not feel the pressure because the betting odds are good and I don't lose much in case GGG will lose. All I believe is that if GGG will lose, I'm sure I will still be entertain because GGG will never back down, and what if he got lucky here, upset is possible my friend.
seems like the votes are also favoring to the obvious result and that is GGG will take over against  Canelo in this fight , will also putting my Bet for GGG because I have been watching and following his career for several years now and I know His capacity and also about how Canelo fight in hsi career that is not enough to take down GGG .

Not enough taking down GGG? yes, maybe... however, if this fight will go to the scorecards, I think Canelo will again have the edge just like their previous fight. GGG is probably aiming for a KO here, the only question is, at his age, can he take down Canelo?

1653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP potential? on: September 12, 2022, 02:02:44 PM
...Nevertheless, this case does not finish and XRP is in risky situation because you don't know how this case will end. If SEC wins, XRP will be burned to the hell. If XRP wins, it will soar and kill all short traders.

There is a very high probability that the trial will be completed by a settlement agreement, which in fact will mean the victory of Ripple in this process. Accordingly, all XRP holders will be generously rewarded for their loyalty to this coin, since after such a decision, the price of the coin should grow very much.
Even though the SEC hasn't yet announced that they win the case but bringing this issue too long and still no results, I could say that sooner or later they will give up and let the business continue. Despite the situation that the developer of this project is facing, however, investors are still trusting this project and believing that one day they could get out of the issue and be rewarded more. In fact, as we can see investors are neglecting this issue because they are not aware and even no basis for that claim than make them worried.

It's a great news IMO, that way, those owners who owned plenty of teams will slowly lose control of the league. I would be even happier if teams like Meralco, Magnolia, and Ginebra will be up for sale so Pangilinan and Cojuangco would only own one team.

On the other hand, it also gives a signal that PBA is not as popular as before anymore. Well, I like your idea because it will really make the league more competitive, no more sister teams, that would be nice as people will stop speculating that some games are fixed, or the league itself.

Definitely, who would not want that to happen? For many decades, it's always been Cojuangco and Pangilinan who are controlling the PBA. Although they have their own board or management, but these two billionaires can always influence the management or the governor of the PBA.

in order to surpass Manny Pacquiao's achievement which I think would be possible if we are right about the kind of caliber Inoue has.
It's possible. Inoue is similar to Pacquiao, precise, fast and an accurate puncher. It's a long road for Inoue before he can reach what Pacquiao achieved being a legendary, but with his current achievement right now it is possible to happen in the future.

Achievements, yes it's possible to break or equal with Manny 's career achievements. Being an 8 division champ is not easy. You have to train and punish your body more intense as you climb one division to another.
However, with skills, I think Inoue already surpassed Manny. Inoue has more killer instinct and a high IQ fighter. His speed and power combination is much better than Manny's. His KO percentage tells the whole story.

Too early to tell, Many worked his way to the top while Inoue seemed to be comfortable in the bantamweight division. Many is just extraordinary, he is a legend, so it's a hard job to do to break the achievement of a legend.
1657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rug pull scams on: September 11, 2022, 10:38:20 PM
Rug pull scams "pumping up" a new project, nonfungible token (NFT) or coin to get funding. After the scammers get the money, they disappear with it. The coding for these investments prevents people from selling the bitcoin after purchase, so investors are left with a valueless investment.
I don't understand what you meant, sorry.
But if you talk about NFTs, many of them are scams, in fact, that issue has been raised in the past days during their hype. It eventually gave us no hope to stop this kind of market drama as scams spread everywhere. But I hope you don't make it generalized and never include Bitcoin for them. Many investors leave crypto for different reasons whether they got scammed, invested in the wrong projects, or never understand how this works. In other words, they are not comfortable here.
1658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: buying low and selling high on: September 11, 2022, 10:14:51 PM
Buy low and Sell High - that is actually easy to follow but guess what, many people had change their minds when the market suddenly chance after buying. Most of the time they turn negative instead of keeping positive, and a reason why people got to panic and started selling low than their buying price. It is to say that even if it was too easy but we find it difficult because we have been disturbed by FUDs and market stress which sends us to make wrong decisions.
I think it is difficult to follow, especially for day trading. You need to have good knowledge in analyzing chart patterns and know the fundamental factors, you also must update information related to the targetted coins to buy. This way is the proper way to ensure buying at a low price. If we don't do that way, sometimes we buy at the wrong time. After we bought the coins, the price suddenly drop quite significantly. Then we may panic and immediately sell at loss. Moreover, if we see many FUDs, it really triggers us to sell as quickly as possible. So, we must have enough knowledge and do analysis before buying, to ensure we buy at a low price.

That actually difficult for those who are uncertain of what they are doing and those who can't manage themselves facing the market volatility. I know technical analysis is very important in trading but that seems useless if we are out of ourselves and can't even perform so well as we have been disturbed by our uncertainties and weaknesses. For having this situation, I really going to say that trading is not for us and to leave no jealousy of others for being successful as they make themselves get better than us.
1659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 11, 2022, 11:19:15 AM
NLEX wasn't really a popular team. It's always the TNT or Meralco which usually goes to the finals, so they don't need a good coach I believe. Well, coach Yeng was good but I think he was not given everything he needs, the reason why his team was underperforming.

Actually, NLEX has a big chance making it to the Finals last season in the Governors Cup because of their import KJ McDaniels. As mentioned by other user here previously, KJ McDaniels were unable to finish his playing career in NLEX because of the delays that surely affected his own timeline to follow. He is averaging a monster stats on that conference and a top candidate as a Best Import if only he able to finished his tenure.

Aside from that, NLEX finished 2nd on that conference and still secures the twice-to-beat advantages in the playoffs even the team faced several problems like, best cager Jericho Cruz rejects the NLEX offer and choose to signed with SMB, Kiefer Ravena leaving the team for his Japan stint, Calvin Oftana's season ending injury and lastly, KJ McDaniels decision t return home.

KJ McDaniels leaving the team was the huge factor for the team to struggle. They have built a chemistry and we can really tell how dominant KJ McDaniels is as an import, saw him before in other team, and he played better with NLEX, it's just unfortunate, they could have a chance to reach the NBA Finals as I think Fajardo that time was still injured or not 100%.

That's fair for the NLEX, but they weren't really that consistent though. Anyway, do you think KJ McDaniels will still come back as an import of any PBA team? I like to see him as he can compete with Justin Brownlee, because if not, I'm afraid, Brownlee will still win as the best import.

I also miss Durham which was the best import of Meralco.
1660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 11, 2022, 10:38:43 AM
And now that they have a new coach, it seems the he will explore Davis more often as he has said publicly. He will be the first choice in office.  But the injuries though, he has been plague for years and hopefully he will be at least play as much game as he can and will be healthy.

Yes, that's correct. Coach Darvin Ham even looking forward too for a change in Russell Westbrook this upcoming season. Good to see that their new head coach understand some of the "issues" that the team is dealing with last season and already have a plan for some adjustments.

Pointing to Anthony Davis, there's no question about his performance even after an injury. He is consistent in establishing decent stats every time he returns to the court. However, it's just that he always got injured. I thought before that he has that strong built but the more he will continue to suffer injuries, he might become a Boogie 2.0. So unfortunate seeing a player with a superstar or all-star level and still considered on their prime but always being sidelined for long because of injury.

Hopefully, he won't go that far, still young and still in his prime indeed.

AD can give decent stats each time he's inside the court. Unlike Boogie, he has good teammates who can lift him
if they all have healthy condition this coming season.

LeBron and Westbrook can give him good help if they will form their version of a big three. Looking to see them
sharing the same court with a good chemistry playing together.

Westbrook was healthy last season and yet he doesn't play like a real big 3. If Davis will have a great season, I hope Westbrook will not ruined his moment as his inconsistency is really a big problem to the team, especially during crucial times.
