I guess Magnolia will win this game. Stockton made a bad move with a poor foul on Paul Lee although there's still enough time left, and with that, it resulted in a two-possession ball game, it could have been an interesting game, but converge is not a clutch team, too bad.
1682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 01, 2022, 12:35:32 PM
According to the article, Terence Crawford wants more transparency on the event's expenses. I am shaking my head, why?

Why so demanding? I think fighters just have to fight and get paid according to the agreed amount in the contract. He is more interested on the job of the promoter, they are the ones who are taking care of that matter, they are fighters, they should focus on training.

I guess fighters now are more vocal than it was 10-20 years wherein they see this a job, with no security tenure. They just want to fight the best and see how "macho" they are compare to the other boxers in their division. That's why we have so many great fights in the past.

Now, boxers want more transparency, they have their own legal team to scrutinized every contract and may add some or contest if they don't want that to be included in the contract.

Yeah, they are getting smarter, they want to maximize their income, and some boxers who see that they will make more money if they will be on their own will just leave their promoter and will just promote themselves. I guess that's what is happening with Crawford, he has no promoter now if I'm not mistaken.

1684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 01, 2022, 06:54:56 AM

WBC and WBO super bantamweight Champion Stephen Fulton has shown interest in fighting the Bantamweight King Naoya Inoue if possible or if the latter moved up to 122lb. But if that didn't happen, Fulton can fight Murodjon Akhmadaliev instead to unify the Super Bantamweight title.

Just as I thought that the Champions in that division are waiting for Naoya Inoue. I think Inoue can crash these guys at the Super Bantamweight but of course, he just needs to fully prepare for that and don't rush everything.

The way I looked at Inoue, he is overqualified already to compete in the Super Bantamweight. Who's with me or against my idea? Smiley
You are right, Inoue is way above the competition he is facing at this division and we only have to take a look at this thread to know this is true, this is an unification fight which will create an undisputed champion and yet we are not giving Butler any chance for him to win the fight, this is how dominant Inoue really is and I do not see how this will change during the short term, so if he wants to face new challenges he has no other option but to move up a division.

He is too much because his best rival was out due to cheating, I know you know about Casimero, if only he was still a champion and Inoue gave him a chance to fight, then most probably we cannot say that there's no competition in this division.
1685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 30, 2022, 02:26:51 PM
I would not risk at that kind of odds, I'd rather look for an odds of 1.50 over 1.03 even if there's a huge chance it will win, one of the reasons is that upsets do happen in any sports, especially in boxing. Well, just let us know the odds for Inoue winning by KO in less than 6 rounds, I think that would be more interesting.

Yes, we should wait for more betting options while the fight is approaching. For now, we only have limited options. I'm expecting the odds for Naoya Inoue winning by Knockout in less than 6 rounds is still low knowing Inoue is really good at that and has a good Knockout rate in early rounds.

High odds will be expected at Inoue winning by Decision or KO at late rounds which in reality, it's hard to bet on that options.

However, that's the challenge in betting. No way bookies will give an easy pick with a high odds in the first place.

Yeah, it's very challenging on our part because bookies are so smart, we thought it was easy to win but in reality we gamblers are losing more than we win. In this fight, we know Inoue will win, but the question is, what round ranges he would be able to stop Butler.

maybe the odds for Inoue winning via decision is very much attractive, so we can wait on the odds to be available.
1686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 30, 2022, 01:41:40 PM
What a game by Robert Bolick, scoring a new career high of 44 points and leading NorthPort to a come from behind win.

Personally i thought that it was money in the bag for the boys of coach Norman Black as they lead all the way and they still lead by 8 points in the last 3 minutes and NorthPort's import was having a cramps but Berto rises to the occasion, scoring at will and brought the game into overtime.

I just wonder what was the odds when the Bolts was up by 11 points early in the fourth quarter.

We missed that opportunity, it was Meralco who is controlling the game but Bollick is really clutch, he is a real definition of a superstar, I'm just afraid that he might not stay longer with the North port as for sure SMB management are already aiming to acquire him.
1687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: September 30, 2022, 01:06:16 PM
United Arab is a neutral place for both fighters and the money that possible to flow is also decent, promoters and
handlers know where to find money it's part of scouting.

We will see these two fighters to showcase their talents and only one will declared to be a winner unless it will be
declared as a draw.

I agree with that, promoters should choose a location where they can maximize their revenue on this fight. Bivol after beating Canelo is certainly the favorite here, but I would say Zurdo Ramirez is not an easy opponent, so we will likely see a very interesting fight.

Bivol has to win here because Canelo is sure ready for their rematch.
1688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 30, 2022, 12:19:59 PM
I see rumors that he will be traded to the Bulls. It does not make sense if the Jazz will make a move to trade Clarkson for Westbrook since they are rebuilding. He will be a good help to the Bulls though coming from the bench. He was stellar last year in Jazz, and I think he is a good fit for the Bulls as well.
That has been in the news lately but should be a win for Chicago if that's the case, the former SMOTY should contribute on the Bulls roster and it's from JC himself that he's always fine on wherever he goes to. I think Lakers will not get him considering they're having lot of guards now, I think the Bulls is a good landing spot for JC.
I don't know what the Jazz has been thinking for trading away their superstars and key players. I know they have been unsuccessful for the last 3 years, but I think the management made a hasty decision for disposing them too early. They could've built a different set of players to support Gobert, Mitchell, and JC.
The current UTAH Jazz looks like a 20-win team next season.
If the Bulls successful traded for JC, that indeed is a win for the Bulls.
They're just good during the regular season and look how they change ways now, Donovan to Cleveland, Gobert to Wolves. Only Conley and JC still remains as key player with the Utah current roster. I don't think it's only with the management fault at all, personal interests are likely huge factor here. I don't think a 20-win team for Jazz, they can still play as much I see it.

That has been their problem, they are good in the regular season but they struggled in the playoffs. Letting go of Mitchell and Gobert is probably the best thing to do, I guess they are into rebuilding and most likely players like Clarkson and Conley will also not gonna last in this team.
1689  Economy / Economics / Re: Can commodities return to its price last year? on: September 29, 2022, 09:51:13 PM
Inflation rapidly increased this year. Basic food stuffs like egg, oil for cooking, meat, and fish here in our country almost doubled compared to its price last year. I'm wondering if it's possible that the price of commodities will return to its previous years. If so, how or what will cause it to happen. It's just scary to think that our money continues to depreciate over the years. Will there be a time that will come where average earners like me won't be able to afford a basic life anymore.

Inflation is always there. While the inflation will be reduced in the future, it will most probably not get reverted. So I think that the answer, from fiat perspective, is no.
Obviously, Bitcoin is meant to fix this.
Inflation I think will stay for good, and so we should expect that the prices will increase more in the years to come. Government may create some ways to prevent this never ending price increase, but still we cannot expect for it to return to the price last year, but maybe the prices can be in controlled somehow. The reason why we should look for better option for fiat, and I think bitcoin is just right the time and the perfect answer to our problem.
1690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 29, 2022, 09:26:15 PM

The winning reward is greater if we bet on Butler but the odds of that boxer winning is very small according to the predictions of members here.  How can it maximize winnings when the percentage of winning is very low.

Maximize the chance of winning maybe, not maximize the winning. However, there are odds that's why even though Inoue has a huge chance of winning but you cannot expect your $100 to win $100. Based on the current odds, which is -3300 for Inoue, your $100 will only win $3.

1691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin should I invest in other than bitcoin? on: September 29, 2022, 08:26:25 PM
In which coin should I invest money other than bitcoin? Because bitcoin has been the most profitable And what will be the future of the other coin, will it increase or not, then you guys can tell. Thanks in advance

Since you used the word "should", it should be your own decision and not anyone else.

Those altcoins that will be mentioned here are just advice, suggestions, and recommendations. Not because you see them profiting at that altcoins, it doesn't mean you will have the same result.

My recommendations are ETH and BNB as main, IDEX, CARDANO, SOL, GALA as secondary, P2E games, Metaverse games, etc. as optional.

And lastly, improved your DYOR skills.
For me, ETH and BNB will likely to be more profitable in the future, as long as bitcoin too has a very bullish price. This is just my own thought so you have to do your own part of research OP so you can see and experience it in your own self. However, bitcoin is still my priority and investing in altcoins is only an option if i have extra money to invest, or just to create investment diversification in crypto.
1692  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do Your Own Research - What Does it really mean on: September 29, 2022, 07:44:33 PM
It's the same as saying "this is not a financial advice", "don't take my word for it"..
It means I gave you an advice but I will not be held responsible if things go wrong. And it's so popular here simply because the crypto market is the most volatile market where things can go really bad.
After all "everyone have to make their own research".
You can follow other’s ideas and advices, but in the end the final decision is yours. The reason why we have to make our own thorough research in the first place so we will know which best way to take. Not just for crypto investments but definitely for all types of investments as they have their own risks, most particularly with crypto that is highly volatile and unpredictable.
1693  Economy / Economics / Re: Business failure among small-scale entrepreneurs on: September 28, 2022, 09:55:04 PM
Businesses in poor countries tend to face greater challenges and obstacles than those in developed countries. This includes factors such as a lack of access to capital, limited infrastructure, corruption, and a lack of skilled workers. As a result, businesses in poor countries often have a lower success rate than those in developed countries.
I see as a major difficult in developing countries the fact people don't have much money to spare, so you as a business owner have a very limited customers' base to acquire your services and products. People are too worried about survival that they will only have access to basic goods and in a limited scale. Furthermore, even though there aren't customers for everyone, the concurrency is the same or even more expressive than in developed countries. There are too many sellers for too few buyers. This situation has a very negative impact on individual businessmen and many consequently have to close the doors at some point.
The reason why businesses whether big or small should always have sufficient capital so that the production will always be consistent, and if ever there are sales decline, there are still good amount left that will cover the shortage. Also, in building businesses, it’s also important to consider the population of the consumers and specifically their demands too so that you will create quality products that will be consumed by a large amount of consumers.
1694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can this be the reason some people are afraid to invest in Bitcon? on: September 28, 2022, 09:40:43 PM
Once the word afraid is in our mind, it can be a disaster for our future particularly in making a decision. We can't move freely and make smart decisions.
Maybe, sometimes we feel like this but not all the time we should have to carry this thing otherwise, nothing will happen to us. This is just like taking risks in crypto investment, trading, etc...
It is definitely a need for us to conquer this feeling before it will be going to late. If we have to overcome fear, it is a need also for us to trust ourselves and keeping in mind that nothing will happen to us if we don't act.
Well we all have fears especially in taking risks. But when it comes to crypto investments, it should always be controlled because if we keep that fear, we will lost our focus and the determination to succeed. Maybe the reason why others enter the market and then quit later on because they cannot control their selves. Otherwise, do not bother entering crypto investments as its full of risks that gives you fear.
1695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what point do you sell your Bitcoin forever, OR wait to buy back later ??? on: September 27, 2022, 09:54:45 PM
3.   Would you never sell, no matter what is happening in the crypto world, and ride Bitcoin down to the bottom ??
I do take profit when really needed, but to say that I will sell all my Bitcoin because of the fear that it might go down to bottom? I wont do that. Because I dont want to have regrets again (just like before) for not holding my Bitcoin and was tempted to sell way too early. Who would have thought the price will skyrocket? If you're afraid for the worse case that can happen then you're free to quit. But for investors who are used to this kind of situation, they know what's the best thing to do, and that is fill their bags and ignore those spreading FUD.
Bitcoin has already proven that it will never settle for anything low and invaluable, instead it will always manage to recover and surge high again in due time. So this will always be my motivation and will never end up selling at a loss unless unforeseen emergency cases require it so. But other than that, I will never sell my bitcoin just because others are in panic selling.

1697  Economy / Speculation / Re: What can we expect from this statement of Michal Slayer.. on: September 27, 2022, 08:51:32 PM
It was proven that there's no accurate prediction when it comes to Bitcoin. I believe that as history tells it.
So, would you believe one guy that says Bitcoin will go here and there this time and that time. I guess not or should not.
Most investors want the bigger number especially when you are a bag holder. Creating a hype is their priority so they can take advantage of the pump, sell it and then buy back when the value sinks. It's all business for them.

Definitely, no one can precisely tell what will be the future price of bitcoin 5 or 10 years from now, what we hear every time are pure speculations, and Michael is not an exception. However, I believe $68k will not only be achieved in 4 years, but most likely higher than that. But if the market will stay dumping the whole time, maybe Michael may be right in his own price prediction.
1698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top mistakes of newbies in crypto on: September 26, 2022, 09:55:39 PM
Newbies invest in crypto without doing much research and just the following advice from others so they don't really find the right coin to invest in. They tend to only take advice from social media that says coin 1 will fly in a short time even though the coin has not been able to upgrade or is still in the development stage.

Beginners spend big money investing in new projects that end up being scams and we've seen many stories behind this. They don't want to learn more about trading and just buy and sell based on group trading signals. There are still many mistakes from beginners who don't want to learn before investing in crypto.
These newbies are prone to create mistakes because they always think that crypto creates instant huge profits and that crypto is a quick rich scheme. That is why they never take crypto seriously and never learn the hard way. Instead, they just trust other people’s advices who claimed they are good and profitable in crypto, which the truth is they just keep losing in crypto.
1699  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Education seems to have failed in some developing country on: September 26, 2022, 09:35:26 PM
We are creating a society where everyone is educated but there is no value of intellect.. because everyone carry same degrees and we are saying they have equal intellect. Thus many posts are being filled by no intellectuals. Creating scope of curruption and thus failures of system.. not everyone who can read book can be an Einstein. We need to identify intellect and groom it to achieve successful innovation.
Sad to say, not all educated professionals have the intelligence and skills that mostly companies in need of. The reason why some companies do not progress or some government officials do not create big and positive changes when they sit in their positions because they focus on corruption that made them become a failure on the eyes of the people.
1700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 24, 2022, 12:48:22 PM
Now, barring all excuses, and assuming that Jerwin will come in healthy 100%, no problem with the weight whatsoever, then maybe he will going to beat Martinez as expected by the majority here.

If that's going to happen then the majority of us will celebrate, but the way I see in their past fight, Ancajas was struggling against a more aggressive fighter, it was Martinez who dictated the tempo, and the good thing for him is that he can take the punches of Ancajas, there was no killer punch from Ancajas in that fight, and worst is he got exhausted.
