Why in the suggested requirements for the control unit it is mentioned that we need at least 500GB of hard disk space, and higher is better?
Quote
1G RAM, 500GB or larger disk, at least one USB port, paired with one or more USB hubs
Maybe they will ship when the blockchain will be a few hundreds of GB and we will only be able to solo mine for some reason? (it's the only almost rationale explanation i could come up with)
1762  Other / Meta / Re: Cloudflare on: December 01, 2013, 01:44:43 PM
I remember theymos writing that the third party can't read the content, and the SSL connection to the server is still protected.
That would be good— any citation? (I did look briefly)
I did look as well and came out with the conclusion that i misinterpret his post, as i always misinterpret every post i read...

Geotrust doesn't have access to the private key. They're a CA. They sign public keys. Any widely-trusted CA can replace a certificate signed by any other CA, so using a more expensive CA is pointless. But unlike Cloudflare, a CA can't retroactively decrypt encrypted traffic, and it's possible for users to notice a certificate change if they pay close attention.

1763  Other / Meta / Re: Cloudflare on: December 01, 2013, 12:44:03 PM
I don't get it, i've never used CF before for this very reason.
CF has a copy of the certificate of the forum right now? Also, it looks like that i'm still connecting to 109.201.133.195, that doesn't go trough CF.
1764  Other / Meta / Re: Cloudflare on: December 01, 2013, 12:32:19 PM
The "Pro" plan seems like to allow the use of your certificate, CF should only act as a proxy.

Fact is, they promised BS to batch 1 customers and we believed them as fools.
Conclusion is, if they play with batch 1 customers, batch 1 customers are gonna play with them.
1767  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 01, 2013, 02:24:12 AM
And you keep feeding the troll over and over again...
1768  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 30, 2013, 11:01:33 AM
Today should be the day of the PBCs, are they delayed as well or they will come up on the marketing blog?

About the difficulty increases, i consider a 70%/month (avg) until March probable, to then slow down as the most important logistic curve we have ever cared about. KNC has yet to deliver it's 2-3PH and will within the month. And as puppet pointed out, those projection are at least optimist.
1769  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 30, 2013, 01:52:17 AM
In other words you are saying that those miners won't roi even in USD regardless of the 10x value increase of the BTC. I stopped doing my projection out of despair, but maybe i should start again after this news for me.

I would throw the email in the trash only for that reason...

I mean if the MMP did start on October 30th someone have to count the amount we made back since then and still counting.
That's incredible, isn't it? We read what we want to read.

did you get my question? who is the person which count the amount of extra chip bundles (up to 4) which I will get in January 2014?

got it?
Sorry, long day.

[...]  If anyone wins anything from HF you will only get dollars not BTC and that's even if they kept the BTC since legal fiat is the only option when it comes to damages.

Thanks.
1775  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 29, 2013, 01:16:52 AM
Do you want me to say that barber and emy are supposedly engineers and that they where in that video, so i'm "WRONG"? Ok, you got that. You are right.
I shouldn't have used any kind of irony when dealing with what HF is doing in this thread, i will keep that in mind next time.

Thanks.

Oh, and i forgot, i can't count.
1776  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 29, 2013, 01:08:58 AM
For the sake of completeness of this troll attempt, let's quote my original post that caused the last half a page of nothing, of wanted and successful nothing in this thread.

Quote
Look how many engineers talk in that video guys. I can count... Well, none.
On the other side, the cointerra marketing video... Well, was full of guys that weren't CEO or in marketing.

I keep thinking what i wrote.

That video is pure marketing bs. It's not even HF marketing, it's bitcoin marketing. It sounds like hey, buy a miner, you will be rich; not because of the product we are offering, but because of bitcoin that is gonna grow another 10 thousand times (btw, really? 1/100 of the world's GDP is only another 10k times growth? We are getting closer to the roof.).

On the other side, the cointerra video was on another planet. It wasn't focused on how the senate hearing was a "lovefest". There where not baby girls in there to lead to those positive feelings that we all felt when we saw them.

I keep thinking what i wrote, i've not seen a company in that video, i've seen a marketing department at work. If only you had putted that budget for the video into making some prototypes of the PCB for october, you would have your customers half as hungry. But you didn't expected that, did you?

Ice, fell free to go on with your failed personal attacks on me saying that i can't count, you are welcome and can already read your post before you even started to write it. You are so banal in your techniques. You really aren't worth what you are paid.
1777  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: November 29, 2013, 12:02:42 AM
Someone gave up on the main thread and decided to only troll this one.
I guess that your hourly payrate is not lowered cause of this?

Sorry for that.
1778  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 28, 2013, 06:06:43 PM
Since I assume you payed in BTC , did you ever looked where those btc went , if they even moved?
I've never learned how to analyse the blockchain, but my money finished at this address after one single transaction:

@ninjarobot, thanks for the feedback about your legal "experience" so far.
Unfortunately i have to completely agree with you when you say that doing nothing and expect them to act as they should is just the right way to be completely screwed. They already made their intentions way to clear.
1779  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 28, 2013, 05:17:05 PM
How many units did you buy?
Too many.

How much do you really think you can get even if you win?
I have no idea. I will ask for the BTC amount regardless of the exchange rate, anyway. Let it be 1000 or 100$.

They sold us a product only because of the lies, now we will only get 10% of our BTC back (pessimistic projection, i know), this in my opinion is unacceptable. Either you don't sell or you don't make fake promises you know you can't comply with.

And btw, to the one saying that they sold the amount directly on bitpay and that's the reason i won't get my BTC back even if they where promised in case of fail on delivery, my order didn't go trough bitpay for what i know.
1780  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 28, 2013, 04:56:20 PM
Someone with deep pockets needs make a example out of this company.
We need to do that ourselves. What's the problem in sharing some money for a lawyer? I'm ready to put 10k$ in myself (i'm sorry to keep repeating that).
