This time is different? Cheesy
This time I get even more wealthy than last time. Cheesy
1782  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 05, 2013, 04:52:51 PM
it is getting instabil now, one 1k sell and it will crash heavy.
You're getting caught up thinking in terms of the old market where MtGox was liquid. The market has fractured and the BTC have mostly gone.

Now it's Emptygox.
1783  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm glad my BTC are in cold storage or i'd be getting twitchy on: November 05, 2013, 04:44:51 PM
If you have an edge, you will get wealthy quickly enough. I don't like margin.
1784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did this forum turn uberbullish? on: November 05, 2013, 03:39:03 PM
It's funny to me that the newcomers to Bitcoin are so much more fanatic/deluded than some like me who bought coins at <1 USD.
1785  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 05, 2013, 03:37:54 PM
Empty in coin, full of fiat.
1786  Economy / Speculation / Re: imagine incoming bubble on: November 05, 2013, 03:35:12 PM
I'm going to have to agree that is about where we are currently and once we pass the ATH, who knows where its going.

I would not be surprised to see 1oz of gold for 1BTC within the next 3-6 months. I think this upleg is going to surprise just about everyone.
One can only hope.
1787  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 05, 2013, 03:26:00 PM
The only question to me is whether we see 4 digits or not (within this impulse).
1788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 05, 2013, 03:19:44 PM
Gox under 20k asks.
Emptygox. Cheesy
1789  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: November 05, 2013, 10:22:57 AM

1790  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 04, 2013, 02:54:31 PM
Right, that may well be.  Which suggests a forward indication as they take about a week to award the coins bought there to the Coinbase cloud wallet, so not even transferable elsewhere.
Mt Gox: $232.80
Coinbase: $226.17
Bitcoinaverage.com: $222.62
Bitstamp: $218.93

Coinbase is now closer to Mt Gox pricing than Bitstamp pricing.
Have we established why this change happened yet? Who knows, perhaps Coinbase has a way to withdraw via Emptygox?
1791  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: November 02, 2013, 05:48:44 AM
Be glad it's not 4-5 months minimum like it is with SWIFT. Actually, SWIFT can really be considered halted/broken entirely now.
1792  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: November 02, 2013, 05:45:47 AM
Ouch.  This means SEPA delay is approaching May levels at five weeks or more.  There was very high EUR volume on MtGox on August 27th, 30th and 31st, and higher than normal EUR volume the entire first week of September.  Looks like a lot of this resulted in withdrawals.  September 9th and 11th had high EUR volume as well.  The rest of September is more normal.  I hope the situation improves.  Unfortunately I probably have to wait another two weeks for my September 11th withdrawal. :-(

There will be an announcement with good news from MtGox this month.  I don't think people will be amused unless the good news are about withdrawals.  From #mtgox:

Code:
--- Day changed Fri Oct 04 2013
14:13 < ardana555> so when can we expect some new news on mtgox?
14:36 < marionxd> ardana555: During this month
14:36 < ardana555> marionxd: how do you know for sure?
14:48 < marionxd> ardana555: because I am working at mtgox maybe
14:49 < ardana555> marionxd: what information will there be in the announcement?
14:49 <@marionxd> ardana555: You will see in the press release :0
14:49 <@marionxd> But good news ^^

It is November now. Guess what happened to that.

Reminder that the last piece of "news" about withdrawals was back on 5th August. Three months ago.
1793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin demonstrates how ridiculous Bitcoin is on: October 28, 2013, 03:21:23 AM
Ah yes, that "currency" that is in a month long downtrend because it's coming down from being pumped since MtGox still hasn't implemented it. Truly not a scamcoin. Cheesy
1794  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 26, 2013, 07:53:16 PM
Buy BTC and fund the war on drugs. Cheesy
1795  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-10-26 forbes.com - fbi-says-its-seized-20-million-in-bitcoins-from-ross-ulb on: October 25, 2013, 06:19:09 PM
It looks like the address has been filled in multiple increments of 324 BTC.

324 = FBI? (telephone keypad)
Damn, I bet you're right.
1796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 25, 2013, 05:59:19 PM
That the US government is one of the largest holders of Bitcoin.

This is the best news ever. They already been on the moon, so they will help us on the way up.
Or they will sell the bitcoins and essentially remove $28.5 million from the bitcoin population and insert into the US government. The only way this could be a good thing is if they destroy all the coins, not gonna happen.

“We will probably just liquidate them.”

edit: Indeed, that's some redistribution of wealth happening here.  Pay for drugs, help the war on drugs. Hahahaha.

Watch out, the US Government is aspiring to become the most successful wallet thief out there. Cheesy
1797  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 25, 2013, 05:50:50 PM
That the US government is one of the largest holders of Bitcoin.

Well that's one way to buy in I guess.
It's like a naked short sell. You steal some BTC, then sell them, free money. Cheesy
1798  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 25, 2013, 05:47:14 PM

It's quite ironic, don't you think? Cheesy
