Movement of BTC above 200 moving average and elliot wave 5 of bear market
I'm struggling to make out what you meant here in relevance to the topic of discussion. You've to improve your game at this, otherwise you're likely getting tagged as a spammer. Stop your one-liner posts without addressing the topic at hand. That's if you want to grow and rank up in this forum.
1822  Other / Meta / Re: Good Initiative by Royse777! on: February 11, 2023, 02:30:48 PM
I had to search the thread out since what you said wasn't linked up to the appropriate thread.
Royse777 had to edit their campaign thread to include it (today, possibly). It's on the OP. Next time do well to link the quote properly for ease of reading for others. It's a good initiative and I think more CMs will want to follow it. I've read a thread where members were decrying the activities of Al in the forum, and now this action by a CM. Once the Al idea come up on the internet last year I knew there would be many who would want to explore the stuff for negative use. Humans are like that; always trying to make bad use of a good innovations.
1823  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] Members who support newbies - Thanks! on: February 11, 2023, 02:03:14 PM
I thought I'm the only one tricked by newbies, such a relief to see it's a universal issue.🤣 as always enjoying to read JJG's posts.😉
I'm always happy if I could find worthy newbies to merit their posts. So, once in a while I make the list here and I'm elated when that happens. I've a mechanism for screening out the unscrupulous ones. By that I meant those ones I consider to be alts who are merely fishing for merit without putting in the work.
1824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People will choose bitcoins more if the number of cryptocurrency option is less. on: February 11, 2023, 10:34:50 AM
Yes, you're right that people will choose Bitcoin more if we had less cryptos on the market. However, that will somehow not broaden the market scope as we've it today. The more the merrier won't apply here if that happens and that's like limiting investors to a certain line of selection. I like the array of products there are in this industry as it affords investors the choice of a wider selection.
1825  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am a General Newbie. on: February 11, 2023, 09:27:26 AM
As a newbie, I've been left with a confusing situation many times, sometimes due to the Trading Terminologies, Abbreviations and so on. With the spirit of being a man in me I come up with these plea, that my brothers and sisters here should help me carry along with the trading system so as I can as well grow like you.
If the terminologies used confuse you, don't break your head over it. Search the words used and you will get the meaning of what posters are trying to portray. To grow in this field, research and intense reading are required.

There is no much term to learn about, just register on one exchange like Binance, Kucoin or any other ones with trading guide and start reading their trading guides. They have video tutorials too which can make learning about spot, future and other trading types easier.

You will have to learn more about indicators from external articles

Read more on risk management, very important.
I get your point. However, trading is more of practical realities than theory (reading). This is simply why most people who can teach trading suck at making profit trading. Emotion is the bane of trading. It takes a heart of steel to not close one's trades in loss when price is heading to SL. Most times, price won't even get to the SL before it reverts but emotion gets in the way while one watches it move and then closes it prematurely. Trading isn't a simple business. It takes a lot to succeed at it.
1826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: misconceptions have always been and will always be on: February 07, 2023, 09:08:45 PM
• Be cautious around new projects.
• Do diligent research.
• Make sure the teams are up to the standard they are claiming to be.
• Do not rely on the promises of developers.
• Develop your routine of thinking.
• Promised quick return is most likely a scam.
• Do not rush a thing, careful analysis always opens the eye.

Great one for your input in those salient information you supplied there. However, you missed the one which encompasses them all and that's "Patience". Anyone who's patient and takes things slowly will hardly fall prey to the modern day scam. Most of these scammers adopt almost the same format to dupe their victims. Once anyone isn't in a hurry, they will eventually discover those hidden gimmicks scammers use. So, we just have to prefix "patience" to all the points you listed and see how they turn; nicely, right?
1827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: February 07, 2023, 08:31:22 PM
Can shiba inu ever get to $1 in the next bull run or more years to come??,  though nothing is impossible, but i don't think it can get there,
And is the project still good to invest in?
Market cap counts here. Except the team reduces the total supply of Shiba, I don't think it will be an easy task getting it to $1 per unit. As per assessment of the project, from where I stand, I believe it's a good one. There must be a strong reason why so many exchanges are struggling to list this same coin. We may not see the reason now but definitely there's something that endeared those exchanges to Shiba. Buy this coin and keep it.
1828  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A reminder to all new Bitcoin investors on: February 07, 2023, 05:18:44 PM
The image above is from Huobi exchange, it shows that now matter how good a new innovation is, the old ones won't want to see it prevail, they will ridicule it to the core, do not be fooled
But of course, that's expected. No matter how pious or lenient a business owner is, they will always want to stay in business and make profit. The easiest strategy to getting that is to protect one's business from rivalry. Some of these business owners will resort to negative press or FUD on their rivals. That's what we get to see with sponsored press by banks and other financial houses against Bitcoin. This day, I don't react to FUD. I just plug my ears.
1829  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [DONATION] A donation campaign for the natural disaster happened in Turkey on: February 07, 2023, 04:46:03 PM
Lol the thread is comeback, it was deleted before Tongue
Was there any reason it was deleted in the first place? This is humanitarian and I don't think it deserves to be deleted, provided OP isn't asking for help to better their own lot. We owe one another love. We try as much as we can to help others when they're in distress. That's what this life should be all about.

My country is going through very difficult times. It will take many years to forget this pain. We did not learn from the 1999 earthquake and we cannot act against devastating earthquakes. Iskenderun, the country's most important port, is still on fire.  People have been in the rubble for hours and cannot be helped. Now we must do whatever we can.
Natural disasters are known to destabilize anyone/country it hits. They aren't something anyone wants to witness. The sight of its aftermath is really devastating, to say the least. For what happened in Turkey and the earth opening up and wrecking havocs on her inhabitants is heartbreaking. I hope the international community doesn't relent on sending help and relief materials to your country. 😢
1830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a crypto project reliable and trustworthy ? on: February 07, 2023, 02:58:55 PM
All of them, sooner or later, almost always turn into dust.
Will you say that about Ethereum too? Even if we don't trust any other coin, I don't think ETH deserves the lashing others get. I've said somewhere sometime that if Bitcoin had the ability of the smart contract ETH has that has actually developed this industry by allowing many projects to be birthed on its chain, its price would've soared way more than what we've now. For me, ETH isn't just any other coin. It's a major player too like Bitcoin.
1831  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think Bottom is gone on: February 07, 2023, 01:27:47 PM
tell me if i am wrong or right experts
Well, this thread was opened about four weeks ago and from hindsight I'm sure you would've discovered if what you thought was a bottom then was actually what it was by now. The worse anyone can do is to tell you of a certitude that here's where the bottom or top is or should be while price is still active. However, from what I see it's looking like price is on the upscale. Even if it bounces off to break support, it won't dip that much to cause another scare like what happened during the FTT saga late last year.
1832  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting ready for $25K, How? on: February 07, 2023, 10:46:22 AM
You can be stuck in consolidation if you buy Bitcoin at the time, but little wait can make use of your money effectively. Wait for the right time to take any bullish position. Range breakout likely to push BTC price towards $24K and $25k.
Soon we will discover that this range which seems impossible to cross now will look like child's play by this time in 2024. Anyone who has money to buy should do it and not unnecessarily wait for it to dip further. Buying BTC at anything less than $60k is already at a discount let alone anyone buying around the $24k or $25k region. Don't over speculate and then perpetually wait in vain to make any entry.
1833  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for February on: February 07, 2023, 06:22:59 AM
I voted no. Not because I’m not currently bullish, but because we moved up a lot very quickly and I think we need time to correct or accumulate before another move up. I’ve been surprised by the market strength during this rally so a sustained move up wouldn’t shock me, but if I were a gambling man I’d be looking for a month of sideways action or maybe even a retest of $20K before we head up to the next stop at $30K.
You're right with the quick moves. Each time I see such I always expect a correction too. We've often be told that price behaves like kids on errands; it doesn't head straight to the target but will often branch off before getting there. Price Action doesn't move on a straight line upward or downward. However, looking at the monthly close, I won't be shorting Bitcoin for whatever reason. I will rather stay on the sides whenever I think I spot a dip than trigger it.
1834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tip and Tricks about when to buy or when to sell? on: February 06, 2023, 10:04:03 PM
Hello,
I know that trading requires knowledge, but any tricks for newbies about when to buy or sell?
Sorry, there's really no shortcut to it. I know there are users who are going to tell you to buy low and sell high. That's a generic suggestion anyone can make. Regrettably, none can pinpoint where that low or high is. Those who even give that type of suggestion are likely to be among those who are often caught unawares and they end up selling low or buying high which is against what they preach. To the best of my perspicacity, I don't believe there are actually overbought or oversold situations. At least, not while the market is still active. We only get to find out such a situation on hindsight and not while price is active around that region.
1835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big money bad for bitcoin in the long run on: February 06, 2023, 08:46:25 PM
As bitcoin continues on its current bullish path, all kinds of people are trying to ride this wave by buying any cheap coins they can get their hands on as they anticipate the next High to come.
Someone like me also fell prey to such assumption back in the day. I bought anything that had "bit" or "bitcoin" to its name. How funny and idiotic that sound to me now, looking back. Well, we all get to learn our bitter lessons some day. I learnt mine within that time. As I type this now I believe there are some who will still fall for such even after reading this. This day I've come to realize that the best way to secure one's capital isn't to invest in any hyip or overhyped investment. Once I sight any desperation, I'm bolting. I've lost in many ways by trying to give projects the benefit of the doubt. This day, I peruse before investing.
1836  Other / Meta / Re: Good move or nah? on: February 06, 2023, 06:40:40 PM
This forum rules never talk about any age requirement for the forum, is it right to bring in a 13 years old on the forum or not? He seems interested in crypto and he wants to learn, I believe he will know a lot through this forum than going online for answers. Good move or nah?
I think that age is still tender (I speak personally, anyway) for me introducing my ward/child to this forum. I don't even want my kids accessing the internet without restriction or under parental control. We don't know where their curiosity will push them into and they veer off the track. I can do the teaching with them, show them stuff but won't allow them do it alone. I'm a bit old school on this. The globe this day isn't a friendly place to allow kids wander on their own. Again, on the gambling section here, kids should be under restriction.
1837  Other / Meta / Re: QR Code Forum Avatars? on: February 06, 2023, 06:04:45 PM
It poses little risk if one can easily read the url before clicking on the link in the qr code.
That was the first thing that came to my mind while I was going through the OP. I won't bother scanning any QR despite knowing it quickens my access to the "blinded" coded information. I don't even like doing a QR that isn't on what I know. The few things I had done it would be to pair devices or a mandatory stuff that has to do with my other devices. Apart from that, I steer clear. I don't like surprises when it comes to online devices. One will never know what's at the other end of the code. It doesn't matter how reputable any user is perceived to be, I should've a glimpse of what I'm scanning before doing so.
1838  Economy / Speculation / Re: Enough? on: February 06, 2023, 05:15:47 PM
Is 0.1BTC a lot and enough for long-term holding? I calculate my extra income that I use for DCA and I feel like this is the range of BTC I will end up owning on the long run, anything more will put me in a very tight position or maybe I need to upgrade my side job to earn more for investing into Bitcoin. What do you feel about this? 0.1 BTC good enough or not.
At today's value (currently) of $23,010, 0.1btc is $2,300+, that's more than enough a capital to start up trading. A lot of traders and investors have turned less than that amount to thousands of dollar. What's crucial in trading and investment is the knowledge and this surpasses the capital thrown into it. One can easily blow that same amount without having the basic knowledge of trading. It doesn't really matter the amount put aside for trading. Seek technical knowledge first. It's important.
1839  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be a successful trader? on: February 06, 2023, 04:32:05 PM
Your major problem isn't the capital. In fact, if anything, that shouldn't even come as a concern to you at this moment. The first thing you need (and it should run into months) is to acquire the basic skills for trading. You can start with learning about Price Action, candle patterns and Money Management. Babypips is a great site that teaches such stuff. It was a major part of my learning curve.
1840  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My son, daughter, nephew wants to know about Bitcoin on: February 06, 2023, 10:25:08 AM
I think there is no harmful affect of learning cryptocurrency in younger age , because if they properly understand the basic of crypto in younger age , they will be experienced and pro crypto trader and technical analyser as well as holder in teen age. But while learning crypto they must also focus on his school study.
Your last line caught my attention more, thus my reaction. Introducing the heavy and deep part of cryptos to very young people and at the same time restrict them from the distraction it affords is a difficult thing to do. We really may not be able to know where to draw the line. In my case, at a point my young son badgered me to teach him stuff about this industry but I struck a deal with him to wait until a certain age. However, he reads some of my posts here and other crypto activities and trading I do. I don't want the financial gains derived from cryptos distract him from his basic school studies, I often hush him. I have on few occasions caught him brag to his peers that he knew things about Bitcoin 😂. Kids and their bragging rights. For me, he will get there one day but for now I've made him realize that there's always time for everything.
