Thanks for all the info guys.

Has anybody made a transfer of 100k $ to bitstamp? Is anything special necessary for the procedure?

Would this be to risky or is there any better alternative to buy a large amount of btc?

Thanks again.

I made large transfers in and out, the only thing is when you trigger AML alarm they ask you to answer 6 questions when you do it will take a couple of days to verify the answers then you are good.

what kind of Arabic writing is that ? it is like you used Google translate and pasted it here, it is so awful written that I don't understand a thing of this post

Yes it's from google translate as I don't speak Arabic. I don't expect any translation to be perfect but after putting it back in google translate it's pretty clear.

Basically we are offering Anon Taxi services for bitcoin in Dubai and Riyadh.

see it was easier telling this in English, translating something to Arabic is really complicated, this is why Google translate is good only for words and not sentences or paragraphs, if you try to translate a paragraph to Arabic using Google translate you will get a disaster and only make a joke of your self.

It translates pretty well for me. I don't know what your problem is.

what you wrote above cant be consider a sentence written in Arabic that has a meaning, sorry, I don't know why I even commented on that, we are not going anywhere with this.

but hey I will make sure to use your services next time I visit Dubai, good luck Wink

If you would like to be constructive I suggest offering to write it out for us.

After a year of doing this we don't need any luck but thanks. Wink

1844  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Mark Karpeles Jewish? [serious] on: March 01, 2014, 09:06:14 PM
People have been posting on reddit and IRC that his last name Karpeles is a common French Jewish name. Is that true? If he were raised Jewish, you'd think he'd have better morals.

so now you assume that all Jewish people have correct morals? please stop, we are all humans, there is the good and the bad, no matter from where you come from or what are your believes or what color you are.... we are still human who have different characters and personalities and tolerance....

and claiming that every Jewish has a good morals is just insane, look at what is happening between Israel and Palestine.... not pretty moral right.

1846  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holders, Investors, Speculators! What's your USD average per coin? on: March 01, 2014, 08:57:58 PM
so my intial investment was X and I hold Y coins and X/Y gives me $55.71.

you know what is the funny part, ok I still consider my self an early adopter, I didnt buy for lower than $1, but I bought a part of my coins between $10-15 and most between $80-120, but the funniest part is that I was trading and cashing out profits.

so if X is my initial investment and Y is the number of coins I hold and Z is the FIAT profits I cashed out this means X-Z/Y = ? if this is what you want to know, guess what, that gives me -700, which means that each coin I hold has already generated $700.

really interesting, I never thought about that, you made me think about stoping trading and not caring about the price dropping more....  Cheesy

[14:07] <prof7bit> Hi, can you now please explain in more detail what was/is going on?
[14:09] <MagicalTux> well, we filed for the japanese law equivalent of what you know in the US as chapter 11 bankruptcy
[14:11] <prof7bit> I would like to know what are the future plans. especially what is with the BTC balances, people are saying it is not included in the liabilities at all, is this true?
[14:12] <prof7bit> I had 100 BTC in my account
[14:13] <prof7bit> and almost no fiat
[14:15] <MagicalTux> it's not included because we'll try to return btc as btc
[14:15] <MagicalTux> so we delayed decision to include btc in liabilities
[14:18] <prof7bit> Is this even possible after a loss of such giant amount of BTC (are they really lost, what exactly does the "temporarily" and "not yet lost" mean? BTW I and many others would also accept their BTC balance converted into dividend paying shares of ownership  of a newly opened exchange, did you consider this possibility as well? Or is there really a hope to recover the BTC completely?

You should get on tradingview.com and use more indicators. Those rudimentary bitcoinwisdom lines can be misleading, using a pitchfork with a better angle gives you a clearer picture. Currently momentum on a daily chart has a downward angle and the CMF and RSI look a bit too moonish compared to the July 2013 bottom. Also, the heiken ashi daily candles look indecisive

Would you mind posting a picture?

Thx
W

it is a really cool site, there is also chat and you can discuss your opinions with professional traders who know what they are doing, no CCMF and no to da moon and no we are going down and bitcoin dying there, only analyzes

off-topic, about Gox and all the BS going around, I find it unbelievable when early adopters Like Roger and Erik and everyone else asking people to just forget their money and move on..... yea you can move on, you have millions already so what if you lost few thousands, try convince this guy who lost +4700BTC

I feel for the people that had funds at MtGox, and I think it is important to be sympathetic to these victims.

But what is wrong with learning from the experience and moving on?  Do you have a better option?
yes bring justice and tell us what really happened and prove it then try to resolve it with all what you can, when all this fail then people will try and only start trying to move on.

do you know what happened in gox ? I think no right ? then why to move on?

I agree with most of your post, but I am sure that this weekend will decide the direction of the trend, I say if we continue to resist the downtrend and push the price up a bit then this may be the second bottom and we can go up. why ? ok hear me out.

the 4h chart show that the MACD persiods are going to cross, with some volume and a bit of a push it will bring confidence which means that the 6h,12h charts MACD wont even get close to crossing and put us in a long bullish market.

as proving for all the above, the 1d chart already crossed and is showing a bull market, for this to continue we all need volume, and pushing the price from 570-650 would make it even clearer.

1854  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 01, 2014, 06:23:28 PM
there could be a reversal if this trend continue, I would consider buying back if we hold the 570 and/or if we shoot up to 600 this weekend,  it would be safer by then.

You are bipolar - changing your mind quite fast. Yesterday was doom and gloom, today is sunshine.

this is what traders do, they follow trends and make profits from the predicted moves, I have been doing ok from analyzing my charts lately.... I left the to "da moon" and "CCMF" and "show me the blood" a couple of months ago and I see it is working for me.

Not true. Most traders don't make profits.

I dont know about most, but I sure do Wink
1855  Economy / Speculation / Re: wow, bitcoin's astro birth chart is full on! on: March 01, 2014, 05:45:55 PM
These posts are not just about the bitcoin price per se, but much more about Bitcoin as a whole, ppl will interpret them differently & that is intentional.

I knew that your writing style was intended Wink I always read your posts but it wasn't even once that I got 100% what I wanted to get Wink but never mind...keep them coming  Smiley

it's fun, better than reading the same convos over and over on the rest of this board, how I see things.

Love your "things you own end up owning you" quote my friend, I'm going through that lesson right now.

I didnt invent that, I did read it somewhere, and I was so pissed about some people... some of us were really owned by the wealth they made, so I had to write it and look at it every day to remind others and also my self.

I came from a middle/poor family, my father worked so hard to make a living and to afford paying for our education (3 sisters and a brother)he didn't leave us any material wealth but he left us educated and prepared for the world, I consider this more important than any material thing out there, I didn't forget where I was and where I came from, and I wish that there is no wealth or material thing that can change this about me or my sisters and brother, and this is the meaning behind these words:  things you own end up owning you

We will see $850 by March 3rd.

You may want to have a little read of TA 101A, and come back to us with another 'prediction'.

One of my observations over the past couple of months about you MatTheCat is that you think WAY too much and you are very seldom correct.

but some how his predictions seemed to work out all the time.... while I was blind and listening to noobs like you shooting out "to da moon to da moon" and ignoring all the TAs, these people were making real profits.

I know you bought your bitcoins high and now you are "wishing for the price to go up to break even" but wishing doesn't change anything nor change the price, now if there will be huge volume and less resistance pushing the price up for days or at least keeping it at this level for days, i will reconsider my position.

but now my FIAT is waiting calmly on exchanges Wink

also if you are so convinced why don't you prove that with some charts ?  or is it a feeling ?

If its down for like 3 days or more maybe I will start speculating

They could be just updating their website on the weekend doubt something went wrong

3 days really ?  why didn't they update people about taking the site down for maintenance or for whatever reason ? and BTW their twitter page went silent as well, last update was January 8th
