1841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: May 12, 2019, 11:09:27 PM
I've seen how Keith Thurman fight both on Shawn Porter and Danny Garcia and I can see his similarities with Miguel Cotto and we all know what Pacquiao did to Cotto in their match. With how he isn't comfortable on taking opportunities to land a punch I know that Pacquaio will take advantage of it everytime he shows no confidence around him. Thurman is a talented boxer but I don't think his talent is something he can outmatch Pacquaio with in a match he ain't ready yet.
1842  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: how to report bitcoin earnings on: May 12, 2019, 09:37:19 PM
But now I have bitcoin income, and reporting bitcoin income is another matter.  It's like getting paid in barter.  Oh, and I'm an independent contractor, not an employee.
Well if you are an independent contractor you are either fully self-employed but if your business is identified as another juridical entity than your income coming from your business should be separate from  your bitcoin earnings not unless you receive those bitcoin payment through your business as an independent contractor. You are right as identifying the separate taxes from your BTC earnings and capital gains when you attempt to hodl it. The only thing I can think of that you are missing is the tax deductions that comes with it involving your business which is a big thing to consider on lowering your taxes.
1843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 09, 2019, 07:34:34 PM
Now that KD is out for the rest of the series against the rockets, how are the warriors adjust with the gap that KD has left. Does curry still has those killer instinct that made him a superstar? Or how can Houston capitalize the advantage they have in terms of manpower. All this question will be answered in game 6 between the Houston rockets and the Golden State warriors.
I think they will still keep up with the rockets, before Kevin Durant was their main scoring option Steph Curry was the guy who can make tons of shots on a daily basis and I think Steph Curry really wants this role now since Steve Kerr doesn't really have a lot of options now with only Klay Thompson and Curry to be the main threat in the offense. Houston Rockets won't be afraid to utilize this though and Harden without Durant guarding him in the low post he will be more confident on driving layups in the lane.
1844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: May 09, 2019, 06:18:04 PM
~snip~

Yes, I am one of them who wants to see ajax in the final, unfortunately they failed
Seeing Tottenham and liverpool in the final for me is less interesting because I often see both teams playing in the premier leagues

Yup. It doesn't feel like a UEFA championship finals. Ajax was an all time favorite. And now we have no teams from the peninsula.
The two teams has played twice last year and both of the time, liverpool has won over spurs. They know each other well and their playing style would be predictable.

Obviously Liverpool will be the favorites here to win the match but remembe Tottenham had advanced to the semi-final by defeating Machester City which is currently ranked first at the league table of the Premier League. Similar to how they defeated Ajax, Tottenham have managed to hide the fact that they are playing an away game and kept the game close in order to win by away goals. I won't be surprised if they did their best right now since this will even be better for them defeating the two top teams of the Premier League.
1845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recovery Passphrase on: May 09, 2019, 03:25:38 PM
I wouldn't even bother recovering my account if I forgot 4 out of the 12 words in my passphrase in that's around 20-40+ characters to guess my passphrases are and let us not forget it should be in order which I think your client doesn't even know what words should come first. This is one of the hard parts on not having a backup on your passphrases because 12 word aren't easily remembered by mind, your client should have copied it on a piece of paper or somewhere he will store it offline.
1846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: May 09, 2019, 02:28:16 PM
Sad to see Ajax fall at home against Tottenham, surely I'm not the only one that hoped that the underdogs will win a ticket in the Champions League Final that final goal for Lucas Moura that gave him a hat trick was a surely devastating thing to see especially when you are part of the people thinking that Ajax will be winning this match. Well now we will see two English Premier League teams battle it out in the final and I think this is what a lot of fans in the world really want to see.
1847  Other / Meta / Re: Cryptios on: May 08, 2019, 08:58:21 PM
Well I just witnessed an account being locked just by over sending 1 merit to a worthless post along with some telltale signs like email being change, IP changes, and posting habits by one of the employees of the company. And just by the looks of how quick they decide to lock an account I think they should be moderated as well on this matter.

Well spotted! It appears that this account has indeed changed hands as the email address was changed on July 22, 2017, alongside with posting and IP patterns. I've now locked it! In the meantime, DT members can go ahead and paint it red until (and if) we determine the real owner.

Thank you for bringing this up!

I don't like the idea that one day I have changed my email, travel to another country, or somehow have a different posting habit that week and suddenly find out that my own account got locked and now I need to prove my ownership with it (How will they or I even prove it?). It just gives me a state of unrest knowing that I can wrongly be suspended in the future. Well this is just my two cents on the matter before things gets out of hand.

1848  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc stability and volatility question? on: May 08, 2019, 07:32:39 PM
Where do you think Bitcoin's price is coming from? As much as I want to hold the idea to pay only in BTC it won't even have a price in USD or in any other fiat currency if people don't liquidate it to fiat. That's why if you look at BTC's price back then its technically worthless since there are no exchanges/people offering up Bitcoin at its USD price, Bitcoin won't be where it is now if no one will be offering fiat currencies to buy it. People have valued Bitcoin in USD because someone is asking/offering it at that price in order for Bitcoin to be valuable we cannot simply stop trading it to fiat, after all there is really no disadvantage when you are buying with Bitcoin and selling it to fiat at the same time.
1849  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Philstocks.ph partnership with Coins.ph on: May 08, 2019, 06:37:01 PM
I have both coins.ph and Philstocks as my stock broker and masasabi ko lang hindi sya ganun ka convenient compared to normal cash-out via bank deposit and then funding through bank transfer. Mas ok pa yun lalo na if may official Unionbank/Philstocks debit card ka kasi within minutes lang magre-reflect na kaagad yung funding mo, ito din pala yung ginagamit kong paraan. Yung coins.ph to Philstocks medyo mas complicated pa nga sya kasi kailangan mo pa pumunta sa Philstocks account mo to go to the procedures and I know instantly mas ok yung cash out via bank depo and then fund transfer.
1850  Economy / Reputation / Re: This guy is asking for merit which should be earned and not asked. on: May 08, 2019, 04:30:55 PM
Am I the only one one who think of his statement/post as a joke rather than someone really begging from merits? Because I didn't even imagine that he was after for merits when he posted that. I've seen a lot of members who begs desperately for meits and aside from that they post shit in the forum and the way I see it is TimeBits doesn't have those two qualities that would merit him as a merit beggar.
1851  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How easil to detect a crypto scam [for Newbies] on: May 08, 2019, 03:43:46 PM
You forgot to mention about the security certifications/badges from Norton and McAfee (or from any other internet security certifications out there) that you can usually find in secured websites at the bottom of their page. This is more reliable if seeing a website is trustworthy or not compared to looking if sites are in “https” or with SSL certifications since you can directly see their badge's legitimacy just by clicking on it, if you found out its their badge is legit than you can confidently surf and use their website.
1852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best trading tool for crypto on: May 08, 2019, 03:11:36 PM
I'm assuming that you are talking about softwares related to to the financial markets being sold by institutions like Bloomberg, Factset, Capital IQ, and of course Thomson-Reuters. Well if that's what you are talking about then I'm afraid that it wouldn't even help you in any way if you don't even know how to use them in the first place. Even if these companies have provided a crypto-based version of their software I don't think that they will know more than what we already know. Trading View's charting website is alread sufficient together with your TA knowledge to survive the market.
1853  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-06] Joseph Stiglitz: 'We should shut down the cryptocurrencies' on: May 07, 2019, 08:17:56 PM

Well at least the World Bank (which he previously have worked for as a Chief Economist) and the IMF is taking a different route against what he stands for. Recently the World Bank together with the IMF have launched an event within their organization to help them understand blockchain and the crypto industry all together. People like him must learn to accept that it's not the currency's fault that illegal transactions are happening its all the people that takes advantage of the system, instead of him advocating ways to shut a whole industry down he should just have suggested/encouraged the government to have a regulation to work around with it which I think would be a win-win scenario for everyone.
1854  Economy / Speculation / Re: I know why Bitcoin is growing now! on: May 07, 2019, 07:38:29 PM
if they find out that the USDT is not backed up to the dollar, what will happen to it?
If this was the case then USDT's days being a stable coin will be over. Tether has been a solid crprotucurrency in terms of protecting your capital in volatility and it had little to no effect to it in terms of its price now that if this happens all trust will be lost and hodlers will imediately sell their position in a heart beat. By the way if you are really clueless to what is really happening and you are interested in answers you shouldn't have a misleading title to catch our attention, that's really an awful thing to do with your fellow members.
1855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: May 07, 2019, 06:12:23 PM
This is it today is the day that Ajax will have a shot to go in the Champions League final after 23 long years of absence in claiming the trophy once again this is their time to go back on top again. If there is one team that surprised a lot of people it's them who are ranked 20th in Europe, nobody expected that they can go all the way up to the semi-finals especially when they are up against Real Madrid and Juventus. They are already up ahead of 1 goal against Tottenham and now they are playing it in their home arena.
1856  Other / Meta / Re: Complete overview of users on DT1 and DT2 and their ratings on: May 06, 2019, 08:58:29 PM
- It might be good if you can make a list of only DT2 member whom did not earn a signed merit so far, rather than a mixture like current list. It is ridiculous when a real DT2 member has not been able to earn a single merit so far, especially if still being actively in the forum last year.
~snip~
Having merit means you have made “good” posts, while being on DT means you can generally be trusted, specifically to give good/fair/appropriate ratings. Or at least this is what these should mean.

I met someone a year or two ago who created his account *solely* to trade with others in the forum and that is quite literally all he did (I assume he also read some threads). He created his account, got locked out, and created an alt account to recover his first one, and his second account had total active time of several days and had a fair amount of positive trust from trades done on the second account. I believe I met him prior to the merit system being implemented, however he would obviously have no merit (he had zero posts) but appeared to be generally trustworthy. ETA - it was this guy https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=515678 and his first account was https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=406863
Thanks for giving another example on why merits cannot be directly related to being trusted in the forum. I just got disturbed a little on why tranthidung got suspicious about a lot of DT members not having merits. Yes maybe detecting unworthy DT members who have slipped through the cracks by looking at their merits might be a start but criticizing them solely because of not receiving or having any merits at all is an entirely wrong way to look at DT members and the DT system as a whole.
1857  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Sports Betting, Sinong gustong matuto? Usap tayo. on: May 06, 2019, 08:20:52 PM
One thing I learned about sports betting is never ever based your bets solely in free tips and guides running around in the web.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions and judge a DT member just because he/she haven't earned any merits so far. After all our trust is mostly based in transactions being done within the forum not by the quality of our posts here, what will make it wrong though is if we just make high merit earners a DT member just because of the post quality they have. DT members such as Carra23, ndnh, Eodguy149, and devthedev have been active in the forum in terms of running campaigns, buying/selling in the market place, buying cryptocurrencies with Paypal, and doing escrows all of them have 0 merits but they are trusted because of the successful transactions they have made. So I hope before you get suspicious at them having 0 merits just look at their trust summary before you judge them.

You may want to look for a new line of work.  Sad

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8siezzLXbNo

All generated by AI - no model attitudes or expenses needed.
Good thing that you brought this up, most of the online ads with models we see now are all AI generated models, the fees are way lower compared to paying a talent fee of the model and the other expenses of producing the pictures. Plus if their business and their transactions will only happen online then I have a strong feeling that they will also use this program to generate their made up "model" the only difference will be is they'll be having a much bigger asking price for their services since they are using "real" models.
1860  Economy / Speculation / Re: Report: Google Search Volume and Tweets responsible for Bitcoin Price Surge on: May 06, 2019, 04:09:00 PM
Can you just stop and think for a moment that price movements are already happening that's why it's creating a movement in Google and Twitter search results. That's why it's being talk about in these websites as the movement already begun. Don't believe on every news you see because most of them are just created to get traffic revenue from their viewers, most of them don't even makes sense at all since all they create are just recycled from the web.
