1881  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Time to Buy or Sell or Hodl? on: July 27, 2022, 09:43:10 PM
Hello,
According to the marketplace, now is the time to Buy or Sell or Hodl?
Any idea welcomed.

Thank you.
If you think you are in profits already, then take time to sell. But if your purpose is to accumulate more bitcoin and let your portfolio grow, then stick to buy and hold. After all, you will also reap in the future what you have been investing today. Always know that as long as we are still facing the bear market, then it’s never a good time to sell but the best time to buy and accumulate more bitcoin.
1882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Class in my Village High School on: July 27, 2022, 09:20:50 PM
I suggest doing a bit more reading due to the slight sort of 'inaccuracies' in your presentation.

- it's not confirmed that Satoshi Nakamoto is actually a group
- Bitcoin isn't the first cryptocurrency
- Bitcoin isn't under the "stock exchange market" category

Totally appreciate the effort and the enthusiasm though. Hopefully the rest of your presentation are accurate and focused on the fundamentals rather than the "invest and get rich!" kind of presentation.

There should be accurate and precise information to be established in the students because that will be instilled in their minds for the whole time being. As it’s always the facts, and not those merely heresays that should be teach to those innocent and naive minds. Yes, you are being great the way you teach the students but always stick to the facts to avoid bitcoin misconceptions in the future.
1883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Failed in trade it's not joke. on: July 27, 2022, 06:20:21 PM
Trading is no joke, its were the money actually lies in cryptos since, mining is far too up for a newbie participation. The next thing falls to trading and depending on your account size and expertise, you could choose how to trade. Either as a long term or short term trader but, they both need a lot of experience.

You've got tonhave acquired some state of the art experience because, its everyone, experienced onces after your money except in the case where a crypto enthusiast plans to hodl. Otherwise, trading is no joke and when you want to go into it, make sure your fully prepared and if you ain't sure, demo trade until your sure your good to go.
Not only trading but even investing, these two would not be considered as jokes. Otherwise, you are just gambling your money seeing them go into waste. If you trade without knowledge and experience, you’ll most likely end up trading without a reason. However, if you trade because you have prepared for it, you have already gained your proven strategies and skills, that way trading will most likely succeed.
1884  Economy / Economics / Re: Henan Bank decides to use citizens money for investment on: July 27, 2022, 05:51:50 PM
That's why Bank's dominance on the economy should end. The similar situation happened in India as well where the promoters of the bank lent money to a loss making company and the company couldn't pay off their loan. So the government had to step in and they are still trying to sell off the assets of the bank so that they can pay the depositors back.

This is the story of banks almost everywhere in the world. That certainly shows the importance of having the control over your own money!
Unfortunately, majority of the people still trust banks despite of this sad reality. They chose to go along with the centralized banks and entrust their life’s savings. They fail to realize that they are giving the banks to have full rights on their entire funds, leaving them clueless about the future of their money. Unlike bitcoin, you are the sole bank of your own money.
1885  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the possibility Bitcoin will rise before the end of the year ? on: July 27, 2022, 05:13:34 PM
Last year I predicted Bitcoin will rise above the value at the start of the year and I was totally right about it, in April Bitcoin eventually reached a new all-time high price of $64k. Bitcoin added about 72% of its value as it  increased drastically before it eventually started falling back in May till September. I don’t really know how this year is going to turn out now because of the present dip. But I just hope it increases, that’s why I’ve been advising so many people  to hold their Bitcoins and even buy more now cause it will surely rise again.
Bitcoin wi surely rise and it will always rise. Bitcoin will surely fall and it will always fall. What matters is the percentage of rise or fall, how long it will remain when risen or when fallen and when to beat a previous ATL or ATH. How to know the bottom of each circle and buy at the bottom. To discover this things is not easy and that is why we buy at the wrong time. But for this year Bitcoin will rise but it will not break the ATH.
Bitcoin is always designed to bounce back and skyrocket again. But there is no certain time when will it starts rising as the market is still in clear bearish this time. However, regardless of how unpredictable bitcoin is, we know for sure that bitcoin will always recover from its price downfall, and history has proven it a lot of times. Though there are criticisms that bitcoin is bound to die, but as long as the market demand lives on, it’s value will always recover and rise again, although not too sure if bitcoin hits new ATH this year.
1886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice from a stranger on: July 27, 2022, 04:44:43 PM
I think bitcoin is an amazing revolutionary technology that I whole heartily believe in and the bulk of my portfolio will always remain in BTC. That’s not to say I’m not interested in alt coins.

I think it’s wise to diversify your portfolio and I’m very interested in several alt coins and I always try and stay up to date with other potential investments in the crypto space. However, there’s no way that I would invest in alt coins before investing in bitcoin but that’s just my opinion.
Of course that should be our number 1 rule, invest in bitcoin first before anything. As altcoins have higher risk investing, particularly with new projects that have not proven their potentials and utilities in the market. Although I’m not saying it’s wrong to invest in new projects, but if you want to be more secured and free from majority of the scammed projects, better trust those old but established altcoins, than risk in new projects that have no guarantees if they can sustain their value for long.
1887  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading really worth it? on: July 26, 2022, 09:25:42 PM
Can I have a precise and constructive answer on whether trading is really worth spending time on? My brother wants to do this job for a living, and I'm just curious if it's a dignified, worth-spending occupation. I don't know where to ask, I don't understand technical analysis; when he explains it to me I feel it's some sort of gambling strategy.

I've used to read experts' discussions, papers, books and the like, but I find no such stuff on trading. It's a very vague term anyway. Are there really people who just "buy low and sell high", making a living by just doing that? I can't comprehend how can a person seriously make a living by something that looks complete gambling, instead of providing goods, services, work etc.
There won't be professional traders in the market if their job is not profitable in the first place. For them, trading is definitely worth it. But for others who have no clear passion in trading, and only sees it as another form of gambling, trading is certainly not real and not worth it. Sometimes, what we think the small things and the most underestimated is what brings the fortune for others.
1888  Economy / Economics / Re: You don't earn money only from others, but also when you avoid spending your own on: July 26, 2022, 07:38:46 PM
Usually people get anxious and frenetic for new sources of income, to find new jobs, so they can maximize their patrimony as soon as possible, but many of them forget you don't accumulate wealth only when receiving money or being paid by others for a work. We can also decrease our expenses and stop third-partying tasks we can do ourselves, so at the end of a monthly cycle we will have earned more money to invest and make it grow overtime.

People create so many worthless fixed expenses nowadays. It can be monthly subscriptions of services they barely use, eating out too often, purchasing superfluous clothes, accessories and items in general just for vanity towards the society. Sometimes people have all the tools they need on their hands to finish a solid building, however, since they don't know how to use them properly, it will look like they constantly need more and more tools indefinitely.
That's the truth about life, and for all the people that live to find more satisfaction in life. They always find their own possessions lacking so they will accumulate more and more, which lead to overspending for unnecessary things. Where in fact, if we want to earn more money, then we should be tight in our expenses and manage our funds through investing. If we can focus on that, then we will see growth and profits later on. Sometimes, the way to make more money is to learn how to be stingy. That way, you won't be spending more.
1889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My old officemate become millionaire on investing on Bitcoin on: July 25, 2022, 09:34:32 PM
To begin with my story, I was a working with this guy to a small company way back 2016 when I just newly discover Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I was new on crypto trading that time so I usually invest on shit coins and trade on CCEX. One day my supervisor caught me doing trading while office hour but luckily he became interested so I was saved that time. Then our whole team in office become interested on it since my supervisor keeps badgering me about it but I was hesitant at first to introduced Bitcoin to them because I know how risky crypto is due to volatility at that time. The price swing is more terrible back then compared now so I’m concerned with there money in case they will start investing because of me.

After a week of slowly educating them during our break. I told them to just buy Bitcoin and never invest on altcoin. I firmly instructed them to just hold and leave there tokens as is on there Bitcoin wallet until the price reach 1M pesos(20,000$) before they sold because our target that time is to become millionaire even if we are just fooling around. Then we decided to buy 1BTC at the same time and after that they all became addicted on checking the price time by time. Some of them sold early because the price dip a few percentage and they are too scared that they will lose everything until they stop investing in crypto because of volatility.

I thought all them already sold there Bitcoin and loose interest  since no one talking about in our office until we start leaving our job 1 by 1 so I don’t have any update anymore about them until yesterday, I received a message on social media from one of my co-worker who luckily didn’t sold his Bitcoin way back then. He follow my advice because he trust me as his senior and he knew that my goal is true, He said that he just forgot about his Bitcoin investment during bull run 2017-2018 and missed the first bull run because he live on his province after we leave our old job and become busy on his job there. He still hold after that and he just remember to check his Bitcoin investment this after 5 years of waiting. BTW his province is still not developed so internet signal is very weak and most people there is very focus on there own job. He was surprised about the growth of his investment. He sold at 20K+ approximately 1M pesos in our currency. I told him that if he only early open his wallet, he can get almost x3 of the current value but he still happy of his investment because it’s already huge in our country and he is only doing a job with minimum wage rate in province. But he said to me that if he always check his wallet, He maybe sold on much lower price and his target on checking it is after 5 years since he miss 2017 bull run. I was very amazed on how dedicated this guy is and even as coworker, He is just very silent and keep listening whenever we have group conversation.  Cheesy

Right now. He is planning to buy back at lower price level and use the half of his earnings to start his new business. He is planning again to have another 5 to 10 years Bitcoin investment after he buy back. I will try to get an update about his business and post it here to inspired other new Bitcoin investor. Hold is really powerful strategy isn’t it?
Hodling for long term investment certainly pays off in time. Of course, with the right coins that you are going to invest and not on shitcoins or meme coins. And maybe one thing also can help, is that invest your extra money and don't anticipate the future profits it will gain. Forget your investment if you can so that you will not check its price often which i think would lead to panic selling if you care for its price that much.
1890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 23, 2022, 02:42:03 PM

That means bookies are just underestimating Campa making him a huge underdog. I think Campa will give Lopez a real challenge, so an upset is also possible here. Lopez sometimes losses his focus, what if that will happen again in this fight? Are we going to see another L of Lopez here?

We will only know they are underestimating if Campa will win, but for now, it's very obvious that most fans believe that Lopez will beat Campa. Bookies does not make their own odds based on nothing, it's always based on what majority of bettors or fans think about the outcome of a certain fight.

Odds are just showing the probability in a fight, Lopez is a heavy favorite, then that means he will likely win but it's not guaranteed. Also, on seeing the odds, that depends on the bettors, some think a fighter is underrated but for the other bettor it's not, so it's based on our personal judgment only.
1891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: July 23, 2022, 01:53:17 PM
I would have agreed with Arum that Kambosos fight another opponent first before facing Haney once again. That would have refreshed him a bit before fighting once more against the only man that beat him. But this is his decision. I hope he and his team has already studied his bad loss in the hands of Haney and devised plans and strategies to counter Haney's style.

The first match was a boring domination of Haney. Kambosos only got 2-4 rounds. He was apparently helpless in that match. He couldn't get inside. I hope he will be able to bring the fight on against Haney in this rematch and take the undisputed title.

He wants to avenge his losses immediately, he cannot wait so let's see if he had already figured out how to win. It's hard to beat Haney due to his defensive technique, he is like Mayweather but if Kambosos really found the formula, it should not be a problem winning the fight. Hopefully we will not get bored again regardless of the outcome.
This is a perfect opportunity for Kambosos to take revenge and prove that he is still worth it. Having another fight is actually a good strategy in preparation for the real goal. Haney made a good defensive style on their previous match, maybe Kambosos already find the solution to counter this one and be more active in the ring. We will see that and Kambosos should not disappoint again this time, there's still time to prepare.
Kambosos wants to focus, if he will fight another boxer, he has to study the style of that certain boxer, so it's better if he will just fight Haney as he is already familiar with his style, it's still fresh on him and that motivation is on him trying to bounce back after a very embarrassing loss.

1893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 23, 2022, 12:21:17 PM

Teamwork is a must in the world of basketball and Magnolia have that and they used that as a weapon to claim the victory. We all know that Paul lee is very dangerous in terms of shooting outside and in paint area so the team find him. But Magnolia use that as a advantage they work as one every player contributed well scored well and in terms of defense they got gallon as a defender on the outside.

They had already formed a bond that would make them a very defensive team. look at the total score in their game today, they only limited the Blackwater to 66 points in the whole quarter, so you can really tell how effective their defense is, and they are not easily getting tired due to everyone being given minutes to play.
Magnolia has a very good line up now if their players don't have latest injury then it's good for them.
That's the advantage of a team if many players will be given time to play and their star players did not feel tired because their backups or let's say support will give their best also and have a good points and a good defense unlike another team that only their star players can make some points and that's the reason why they have a small percent of winning every game.
That's why I'm backing them to win in this conference, though all Filipino cup are usually dominated by SMB and Fajardo is obviously back, but I like the teamwork of Magnolia. Abueva was added and some role players, so they are getting better and better.
1894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 23, 2022, 11:37:33 AM
Westbrook and CP3 are also in the list of valuable players along with Harden who don't have a ring until now, I think these 3 mentioned names are the remaining players in their generation who haven't got a ring that is still playing up to present and the rest had already also retire without it. Now, I'm kind of curious which of these 3 has the most chances to win its first ring before they retire? Mine is CP3.

Those 3 names mentioned above do belong to a heavy teams in the league, the competition has gotten tight and I'm looking forward that at least one of them can grab a title.

I am rooting for CP3 to get a title too. He almost got a title in 2021 but fell short to the Bucks. Hopefully they could do better next season. Among the 3 that you mentioned, CP3's team has gone the farthest lately. And he is the oldest, so I hope he gets a ring before he retires.
Hopefully, this is the time. If there's one who needs to step up his game to the highest level it's supposed to be Booker because CP3 is doing a lot for them already but Booker had those inconsistent moments especially when it's playoffs time.

I guess Booker was really affected by the trash talking of Luka during their series. It was very evident that Luka takes over that series from them and they don't have any answer even if they play homecourt. I guess that's how savage Luka is, and it's more on Booker can't take control of his emotions that's why he is affected by it. Probably, it's now or never for Chris Paul, next season should be the one but the Warriors are still one of the favorite despite some of the supporting cast leaving for a good contract on other teams.

Maybe booker is also not 100% in that series because remember he was out for a number of games before their series with the Mavericks. Luka is not a known trash talker IMO, but he is really tough, and that toughness made his team better, and much better if they will add more role players that could consistently provide some contribution to the team to lighten the burden of Luka a bit.
1895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: July 22, 2022, 02:13:31 PM
On the first fight, it clearly shows how clueless Kambosos is on what Haney is trying to do,....

I think Haney has not changed his style, and I'm pretty sure that the team of Kambosos had already studied the fights of Haney before their big fight and yet they had not still prepared for it. There's a big difference because Haney had the quickness and Kambosos could not match that, if only the first fight was a split decision, then I might believe that Kambosos will bounce back.
1896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 22, 2022, 01:52:06 PM

Paul Lee exploded here with 22 points, glad to see him back with his usual number.

He needed that for the coming playoffs, Paul being healthy is very dangerous, but hopefully, the teamwork is still present and they will not only rely on Paul Lee. I still love the numbers on their previous game where many of them scored a double-digit, that's real teamwork in a team.

Congratulations to the winners, all betting favorites covered the spread.

I think OP have won again if he finally put a bet on the pick he shared. Based on the livescore, the total score was 6, so these bets below have won.

Jaro vs Ekenas

Asian Total
Over 3 @ 2.14

1st Half - Asian Total
Over 1 @ 1.65
[/b]

Not sure what happened to OP now, but if he won for sure he will keep following the tips and enjoy the easy wins.
However, it's true that the community will not suggest you to borrow money to gamble as it will double the risk.

Congrats @bisdak40, looks like you got a win here.

I was thrilled watching the game as I was thinking that Ginebra will pull away and will cover the spread, turns out Phoenix were able to hit the handicap. 7 points win only by Ginebra, that means we got a winner here.  Smiley
1899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 21, 2022, 12:44:35 PM
It's no question that GGG won the first fight. The second fight could go either way. And hardcore boxing fans always remember that Canelo only fought 35 and 36-year-old versions of GGG. Those were not even prime GGG. If Canelo wins this trilogy, then he won against a 40-year-old GGG moving up in super-middleweight. It doesn't affect the first fight where GGG clearly won and that 50/50 second fight. Those punch stats are possibly not 100% accurate but it's close and it won't lie. GGG is always the better middleweight than Canelo. The great Joe Calzaghe won against an old version of Roy Jones at light-heavyweight. But that doesn't mean Joe is better than Roy at 175.

The final fight and I'm happy seeing the poll that many of the posters here believe that GGG will win the fight. Well, I hope the judges this time will be fair, and give the win to the real winner, besides, Canelo has already lost in his previous fight, so he is not the hottest boxer now. If GGG loses the fight, I would not think he lose because he is old, I just don't want to make that believe on that excuses, the fact that he agree to fight Canelo, that means he is capable of winning even at his age now.
1900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 21, 2022, 12:03:23 PM

Of course, if he didn't train that hard Campa might pull upset again on Teo Lopez and he doesn't want that to happen.

If that will happen then that might be the end of his journey in the new division that he tries to be a champion. He need this fight, though it looks like a tune-up fight but he cannot be too complacent here as Campa is definitely not an easy opponent.
