1901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIB, DOGE and BabyDoge: How Do Community Favorites Perform? on: July 16, 2022, 10:26:09 PM
Dogecoin and Shiba Inu got huge support from the community, that is what I only see. In fact, even without Elon Musk Doge will still exist and that is because people see this valuable than the other meme coins. However, people had thought and made it general that they are useless and are just shitcoins which gives less attraction to the market. But despite the negativity, they still survive and compete in the market.

I won't stop people from investing in Doge and Shiba, that was their choice as well nor to urge others to think they are good projects.

Meme coins are meme-inspired cryptocurrencies. They tend to be highly volatile compared to major cryptocurrencies like bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH). This is likely because meme coins are heavily community-driven tokens. Their prices are usually influenced by social media and online community sentiments. This often brings a lot of hype but also FOMO and financial risk. While it’s true that some traders became rich with meme coins, many lost money due to market volatility.

1902  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 16, 2022, 02:36:21 PM
I feel like it's gonna be ranging between 18k - 22k from here on out for as long as it could and it'll just wait for something to happen..  A catalyst to put it back in bull mode.  Whatever that may be, I don't think it's coming this year.   And if anything, it's looking like it could get worse.  I remember around Dec 2018 when we all started to think BTC was all stable and out of nowhere it started to go down from 6k to 3k in a couple of days.  Lolol.  Same thing with the drop of Jan 2015, from 300 to 150.

The price of Bitcoin doesn't move far, May, June, and until today we have never seen it surpass $23k. I'm predicting that we still stay in that position and price range for this month of July. And I was also thinking this even be the price we saw for this quarter. Well, I have no problem dealing with this situation as for me even if it reaches back and remains at $18k, that is still far from what we had experienced during the last bear season. I couldn't think that gonna happen again knowing that people had already learn how to control their emotions.
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 16, 2022, 02:06:45 PM

Maybe this fight will break in the top 10 but not going to be in the top 5.

Possibly, so what are they waiting for, they should make an official announcement already so people will start buying tickets for the probable biggest fight of the year. Crawford vs Spence, this is the fight that we have been waiting for, and I can't accept if it will not be realized this year.

But maybe they are just ironing things up that's why they can't make it public yet? And we have seen Floyd's face entering the picture as well because he knows this is a big fight so maybe he is pitching something so that he can be included in the money? The exciting is killing us, and yes, we want positive news and hopefully this all boxing politics or who is getting the most of the purse and split should have been finalized or at least negotiated already.

If Floyd will enter, he might be promoting Crawford and I don't think Floyd would accept a 40/60 share and they will get a lower share. Hopefully, Crawford will play smart here and think that it's not just about the money but the legacy he would make if he beats Spence Jr.
1904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 16, 2022, 01:23:47 PM
^^ Really hard to digest what really happen to the Lakers last season and how it become toxic. Although it was really evident that in the beginning, something is not right as even in the pre-season with all eyes on them and high expectations there were already signs that it might not work and that what happen. And then Lebron injured himself and so is AD, Russ games didn't flourish, the supporting cast is not performing as expected etc etc. There is no single point of failure, just a culmination of bad timing and maybe bad decisions.
They don't have good supporting cast because they traded the ones that were really a big piece of the success of the Lakers. Now, they realize that they don't really need another superstar, in fact, Lebron and AD is enough because both have already won a championship together with the Lakers.
The Washington-Lakers trade really is a bad trade if you will ask me, or it really is a bad trade just because of what happened with the Lakers.

The Lakers traded some of their young and best bench players like Kuzma, KCP and Caruso which is one of the best in defense just to get Westbrook. Turns out that it became worse for them. The players who helped the team get a title got traded to different teams just to get a player where they expect that will help the team get another title again, but it didn't happen.

The good thing now is the Lakers are doing some good things, and they started it to get a new coach in Coach Darwin Ham. One thing more is that they got star-studded players like Pippen and O'neal (you know what I mean with this one Tongue). Well, I just hope that the Lakers will make better decisions this off-season and will be better this upcoming season and will not repeat what happened to them last season.

They cannot go back anymore, all they have to do is just correct their mistake and I hope with the new coach, things will be different for the Lakers. Injury is still a big problem for the Lakers, as long as Davis is prone to injury, the future of the Lakers is not bright.

Quote
In order to acquire Westbrook, the Lakers sent Kyle Kuzma, Montrez Harrell, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to the Wizards (plus their 2021 first-round pick). Harrell and Kuzma are subpar defenders by most metrics, but KCP's contributions on defense and his ability to knock down threes in the Lakers 2020 title run cannot be glossed over.

I think that's what happened.
1905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice from a stranger on: July 15, 2022, 11:55:46 PM
Is it true that new altcoins are the best to invest in right now? Someone said you can easily make better profits from new projects than investing in old altcoins that have already x their values already, what do you think? Good or bad idea.
Perhaps, listening to stranger's advice isn't wrong and even following him. But you need to be careful and never easily trust them especially when it talks about investment and money as most of them are scammers and they target newbies. Never get fooled by someone saying "you can generate more profit from investing in new projects" as they are claiming their projects are good and profitable but in the end, they leave you in regrets. I think that was not the thing you wanted and that is why I encourage to be careful dealing this situation and to the strangers.
1906  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would you advise a focus on indicators or the market itself for a newbie. on: July 15, 2022, 11:33:02 PM
Traders have never succeeded without using this, that was the reality of having these tools exist in trading as it helps us to make our trades more reliable and profitable. That is why it is recommended to use at least 1 or 2 as old traders already value these things and know how effective it was in the actual scenario. The more we got into trading, the more we realized its importance, especially when creating TA.

I know it was an additional task and burden that newbies must have to know but yes, it was a part of learning trading that you need to consider.
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 15, 2022, 01:34:55 PM

I believe PPV sharing is probably the main reason why they haven't come up with a deal yet. Spence's previous PPV buys are a little better than Crawford's. Spence also has more belts to offer in the division but Crawford is the only ATG of the two.

There's no other reasons, Crawford here has to agree with a small share because Spence will not agree with a 50/50 share.
he has more belts and he has a better PPV record in the past compared to Crawford.

We get it, Crawford is also a champion but Spence have proven enough based on the numbers he have.

However, Spence versus Crawford might be the biggest payperview revenue in the history of boxing. It might be more than the payperview numbers of Mayweather versus Pacman. It would be very stupid for Terence Crawford's team to not demand a share equal to Spence's share.

I'm not sure about this, Mayweather vs Pacman did 4.6M buys, that is hard to crack. Although that Mike Tyson vs RJJ did a decent numbers in the pandemic reaching around 1.65M.

So I'm guessing maybe around that numbers or maybe it will be as high as 2.0M but nowhere close to even Conor vs Floyd or Floyd vs Oscar Dela Hoya.

Mayweather is a PPV king, period.

The reason why he is the richest boxer in the history of boxing if I'm not mistaken, and I don't think the current era of boxers would defeat him. His era is full of exciting fighters, they have Pacman of course, now, boxers doding each other just to remain undefeated.

Yes, Mayweather dominates in the PPV competition as we can see here; https://www.planetsport.com/boxing/features/floyd-mayweather-mike-tyson-conor-mcgregor-top-10-ppvs-of-all-time

I hope these champions will be inspired and convinced themselves that the only way they can get huge PPV buys is when they will give the audience a big fight, such as this fight.
1908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 15, 2022, 01:02:56 PM
Magnolia vs Meralco, this is a great game, both are tied in the standing I guess, so let's see who will win.

I am leaning on the Magnolia because of their good defense and more consistent than Magnolia.
It's still a close game, those who like to bet on the game live, it's your chance to do it now.

Magnolia had a good lead in the first half but Meralco came back in the 3rd quarter, they are already tied now, and I like to believe that Meralco has a great chance of winning here, LOL. I actually took the 3.2 ML during the half for Meralco to win.

edit : we are going to OT

Magnolia won in OT with 97-88 score. They did a good defense in the overtime that shutdown Meralco. The technical on Newsome does not help either on the dying minutes of the game. It is a good game. Defense has been the key in Magnolia's victory. Won the bet with Magnolia covering the -6.5 spread.

Congratulations mate, Meralco wasted their effort in the OT, it was pretty evident that Magnolia had really dominated the game. I wonder where you get that -6.5 spread, I believe Magnolia was only -1.5 in the pregame odds.
1909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 14, 2022, 12:37:08 PM
^^ For sure, the commissioner is not going to be happy with that. Yes players have freedom, but in this case, and if I'm not mistaken, this is a super max contract being given to KD and then after a few years and he still has like 2 years in his contract, he suddenly request a trade? It is close to being disrespectful to Brooklyn, after emptying their pockets not just for him but for Irving as well, he will suddenly ditch the Nets because it's not going his way? Yeah, for sure new rules are going to be set in by the NBA to address this kind of scenario.
Obviously they are and rules really need to change regarding to that since NBA is not really good in that side because they give to much power to a player and this really hurt a lot on their organization if the same scenario like this will happen in future.

I wonder when this controversy stop and for sure the team where this two guys landed will encounter the same problem since they tolerate those kind of players.

If there's no rule that will make it illegal, you cannot say it's toleration. Players has the rights as well, that's why they have a contract, and as long as their action does not violate the contrat, it's always legal but not every legal is acceptable in the eyes of the fans and the organization.
1910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 14, 2022, 11:42:38 AM
Nietes did his best but the Japanese is really superior and he did improved a lot during their last fight. And with that huge gap in the score, it was a total disaster for a come backing Nietes, he should have remain semi-retired. Anyhow, the future still looks bright for Filipino boxing, maybe there could be one that they will discover again and maybe be the next Manny, or Ahas or Filipino Flash that will carry the flag for them. The've been successful though in the Olympic boxing and winning medals so I guess it could be a consolidation for a disaster 2022.

IMO, Ioka is not that good in terms of skill, he won yesterday's fight because of Nietes' declined performance-wise.

Ioka is very beatable and if the rematch took place months after the first fight, the result could have been the same as the first fight.

In fairness to Ioka, he deserved that win because of his aggressiveness and being relentless in throwing anything he has last night  Grin.
We can understand that because Nietes is already old, I think his career in boxing is already over, he should have already retired and enjoyed his life after boxing.
His performance has a big decline compared to his past performances, so it's time to stop boxing professionally.

Looking forward to the match between Ancajas and Ioka, this could be exciting because we all know how skillful Ancajas is and for sure he would bounce back from that unexpected defeat.

Casimero and Ancajas are now the bright prospects of bringing glory to the PH in the world of boxing.

I like to see this one, I guess think Ancajas can easily beat Ioka.
1911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Randomly receive small amounts of TRX on: July 13, 2022, 11:35:28 PM
Upon reading this post, I'd check my wallet transaction but never it appears that I have received any from an unknown person. Maybe I was not a part of their list as the target for something we don't know as it is sure it was intentional.

That could be worrying if you usually use this wallet for major transactions as you are wallet has been known to them and likely being monitored by this group. You gonna be careful or may change your wallet address if possible and let's see if they are still sending you some TRX.
1912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 13, 2022, 12:55:41 PM
Irving and Durant both are leaving the team surely as it seems. They have both wanted their trades as soon as possible. Actually Irving was closer to be traded but the team made a decision and decided to give priority to Durant's trade. I have heard that Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns are the teams Durant want to go now.
Durant going to the Heat would give the Heat a big boost even if they will trade Butler for him.
IMO, I believe that Durant is more clutch and more team player than Butler, so I'm okay with that trade if that will happen.
I don't think that's the right move. Butler created a brotherhood there and taking him out in exchange for Durant will most likely ruin that chemistry.
What I want for the Miami Heat to target is a point guard. Kyle Lowry seems to have lost his touch and is playing lesser minutes at 36 years old.
If they will focus their playmaking with Gabe Vincent and Tyler Herro then aim for a shooting guard. They didn't use Duncan Robinson last playoffs because of his lack of defensive skills.
A strong guard who is capable to do both will be their best choice. Not as expensive as KD.

What if they can sign KD without moving Butler, I think that would make the team better and they'll have a big chance to win a championship. But the question is, who are the players that will be traded for Durant?
1913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Alt coins are About to pump again! on: July 11, 2022, 01:26:58 PM
As you are posting this 2 months ago, as we can see nothing had changed in the market sentiment, it was still in the major corrections.
I was predicting the market will start to rally next year, not this 2022.

It is good for trader that almost all coins are pump, but this is going so fur or it will dump again. We see that there are many times, everycoins aredump at the lower order, but it will again back it's own position and crypto-trader sees it many times, so, be patience.
It takes a lot of patience at times like this because you are challenged to be able to control yourself, the experience will always repeat itself, so there is no need to worry that everything will return to the way it was before.
But if you are thinking positively, nothing is hard and we can passionately extend our patience if needed.
Those who say "I can't hold" or "It was hard" - these people are weak and much preferred for short-term investment which gonna be difficult like in the current situation.
1914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you guys invest meme coins now? on: July 11, 2022, 11:46:51 AM

Meme coins are available at throw away prices and if you can hold them for a few years, this might be the best time to buy them. However, there is a risk involved in Meme coins hence, you should always put very little money of your portfolio in meme coins.  As an example, if you have a total of 1000$ to invest better buy only 100$ worth of meme coins. Also, you should buy 10 different meme coins for 10$ each (for this example).

I have given this example so that no one invests more than 10% of their portfolio in meme coins. We should manage the risk and may not be greedy.
You can hold them, right but never expect a huge return as even the Bullrun comes without a shilling, that seems impossible. Without Elon Musk, we can never see Dogecoin reach its ATH, we indeed see the same price as today.
That even the price of these meme coins is too low, I won't and never have the interest to buy them. I could afford to take risks but not these coins - I look for more reliable projects and known sustainable projects like BTC and ETH.
1915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: July 11, 2022, 11:01:59 AM
...
let's imagine that a rich person takes 100 million dollars and buys bitcoin at the price of 20,000$, that rich person could easily have 400,000$ dollars in 4 years or less. if i were rich i would do the same thing, i would take a lot of money and buy it now. but when the person has little money, it's not worth staying 4 years to make a profit of 4X
Rich people got more while poor people just got a few...
Even if we wanted to become rich, however, because we don't have the capacity to invest more, unlike rich people, that is still hopeless. That is why Is would say that we don't chase becoming rich if we know ourselves that was impossible as this is not a game that we all win, sometimes we lose which is really hard for the poor people to recover. Buy and spend money that we can afford to lose, we don't ever think making a loan will help us. We also have to learn to be contented.
1916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 11, 2022, 08:10:48 AM
And I will say that it was really boring, a snoozer fight and I'm right. When I check the score afterwards it is Vargas who won on the score card. So I guess Magsayo is just another hype fighter, just B level to me, in my opinion. Not in the same breathe as other Filipino greats like Manny and Nonito.

It has become boring because Vargas was just playing with the points, he made sure to use his advantage over Magsayo and he was really effective in doing that. He got a good coach as well, so I'm not surprised that he won the fight. Magsayo has the power but he lacks speed, he could not destroy the defense of a taller boxer, so I guess better luck next time if rematch is going to happen.
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 11, 2022, 07:40:35 AM
<<<snip>>> and that they'll be able to keep the most important players particularly the big 3.
As long as they are playing with great chemistry, there should be no problem with keeping the big 3.

Curry, Thompson, and Green, are the foundation of the Warriors, they keep their bond together and together they won many games and championships. No need to add Durant or any star that would make the Warriors sacrifice the key players, they have to keep the core of the team while developing the younger ones.
1918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 10, 2022, 01:04:14 PM
Game 2.  Ginebra vs TNT.

Mikey Williams has to bounce back here, he had a bad game against SMB, and looks like he is not having a good start in this game as well. He only scores 3 points and already in the 2nd quarter, their top scorer is Pogoy with 10 points. TNT might not win if Williams will struggle again, so I'm thinking of betting on Ginebra while they are still down.

He now has 17 points but the shooting percentage (6/16) is not good, but looks like TNT is still in control of the game, end of 3rd quarter already and they are still up by 13 points. Well, let's see if the NSD team will have a big run in the 4th quarter, they are good at this, so let's see.
1919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 10, 2022, 12:33:31 PM
The latest update Vargas beat Magsayo by a split decision Magsayo scored a

Vargas SD-12 against Magasyo (115-112, 113-114, 115-112) to become new WBC Featherweight champion.

Vargas dominated from round 3 to round 8 with his stiff jabs, he uses his height and reaches advantage to ward off Magsayo's attack, I don't know if its over confidence but it seems Vargas has played his game well compared to Magsayo but this one deserves a rematch if there is in the contract that there is one.

That's actually a good fight and well deserved for a rematch.
That was the fight between a close combat and distance fighter. Vargas was spectacular from rounds 3-8 keeping his distance and a good jab to dominate the whole game.
Magsayo had his chance in round 9 on wards but he did not take advantage of it when Vargas got shaken with that huge round 9 knock down. Magsayo clearly lacks of head movement, footwork, and a follow up punches. He solely rely on his power punches.
Nevertheless, Vargas dominated the fight.

Magsayo didn't think he would lose the fight so he was not so aggressive when Vargas went down, you know, he might be thinking what if Vargas will hit him with a solid counter that would result in him losing. If he was desperate to win, he could have gone for a KO in that round.
1920  Economy / Speculation / Re: Have we reached a bottom price for BTC? on: July 10, 2022, 10:59:02 AM
are we really reached the Bottom ? because this has been happening for almost whole 1st half of the year and yes bitcoin continues to Up and Down so how would some of us can tell if Bitcoin will really in the bottom or there will be more.

but one thing for sure is that there are so much to come in the coming months .

and expecting the climbing in the next following years.
I can't tell either...
The market just moves up but never does it go far away from $20k and yet, it drops back again. We are certainly confused if we have already reached the bottom or if there is something worse to happen like a huge decline. People are still optimistic about the incoming events, despite the dumps and possible huge drops, however, they are still buying more.

It is to whether we have already reached the bottom or not, we still need to be prepared always. Anticipating the market is quite important and we are supposed not get surprised, otherwise.
