1941  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos, if you can decay, why can't you refill / recharge? on: October 28, 2019, 01:03:59 PM
Ok, I accept that merit sources need to work like that to remain a merit source, can't theymos do it with normal users too who demand some sMerits?
Theymos occasionally promotes normal users to the status of merit source, though you'll need to do more than "demand some sMerits" to be worthy of consideration.

Though I'm unable to give too much time to the forum, not bragging about myself but I guess I'm doing enough in what I'm contributing in order to get some merits and be able to get sMerits to send to others, but to me, merits is now totally luck-based when we consider a person like Vadi2323 involved as a merit source.  Undecided

--snip--

The 1:1 ratio you mention would create thousands of sMerit circle-jerks, even simply between 2 forum profiles, defeating the whole purpose.

Why would that be bad? Instead, there will then be many bans if such merit abuses will take place and that will be specifically for those jerks who will try to do it. But yeah, on other hand, that may be bad for the forum as merit farmers (who will do it after this gets approved) will be able to sell more merits through this (I never thought about that). Sad
1942  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos, if you can decay, why can't you refill / recharge? on: October 28, 2019, 10:22:00 AM
Now, when you can decay as it's all under your authority, isn't it possible for you to add sMerits to active merits senders' profiles and see if they actively do it ahead or not? And if I don't do it, just decay them after a given timeline to me?
Because that's pretty much exactly how merit sources work already. Merit sources don't have to spend any or all of their sMerits, and while source sMerit doesn't decay, it doesn't accumulate either: if a source doesn't spend their monthly sMerits allocation, they don't get any more.

(Incidentally, sMerits do not decay and never have. That message just indicates that they might decay if theymos changes his mind about that, but he hasn't yet.)

Ok, I accept that merit sources need to work like that to remain a merit source, can't theymos do it with normal users too who demand some sMerits? Is begging the only option that remains if all our tries at earning Merits don't become successful in order to send our potential sMerits to a compiled list of some highly qualified posts? I know that such posts which have high quality get merited already by one or another active merit sender, but why can't we receive a refill or recharge on our sMerits (not asking to change my received Merits number but just add some sMerits to our profile to send some merits to a few posts we like)?

One more suggestion on this, if theymos is going to continue how it's all going, is it then possible for him to change his structure of Merit:sMerits from 1:0.5 to 1:1?
1943  Other / Meta / @theymos, if you can decay merits, why can't you refill / recharge them? on: October 28, 2019, 10:02:35 AM
I am not one of those who are coming here to fight you, but I want to put this question because I've been watching many good posts and I don't want to send links to merit sources to merit them as they may or may not do it if they like / don't like it. Another thing is, I'm not interested in begging for sMerits at all because then, it's not worth it to send them to the deserving ones because those merits will be said as came to me as a charity.

Now, when you can decay as it's all under your authority, isn't it possible for you to add sMerits to active merits senders' profiles and see if they actively do it ahead or not? And if I don't do it, just decay them after a given timeline to me? When you can set a timeline for bans and everything, why not set a deadline for the use of merits too? This will also speed up spending of sMerits a bit more. Anyways, I'm a nobody when it comes to suggesting anything to you @theymos, but being a good user of your forum, I thought I should tell you how it feels when we see a good deserving post but can't send them merits due to being out of sMerits. It's just like a guy watching a food item, wishes to buy it but when searching on his pocket, finds nothing. Sad
1944  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: October 24, 2019, 12:08:41 PM
I tried the NBA one and didn't expect the betting requirement. I am glad to answer the question but I am not sure if I am comfortable with betting on that exactly. The requirement is "place any bet with minimum 1mbtc" so it doesn't have to be the same exact game right? Like I can play even a casino game if I want to and as long as it is 1mbtc I can still get registered as a winner if the game comes out true? It is very low odd thing to hit 6 games in a row in NBA.

Yes, there are tons of games and most of the time the better team wins but at the same time considering even the best teams wins 60-65 of the 82 game schedule there are tons of losses in NBA which is why I doubt there will be many people who will hit 6 in a row if you ask me, doable but quite difficult.

NBA is a lot more different these days and I never believe that the low odds team has got any more chances to win over those who are presented not to be winning that game with high odds, but that is definitely a chance for us to make the bookie lose if the "expected losing team" cones out as a winner. Well, if Hillary can lose against Trump in the old elections (not speaking about the current one), I believe that anything can happen in America and especially sports like Basketball. Sometimes, the players of the expected winning team turn out to be doing it lazy or their inner health is not fine, and sometimes expected losing team manages to show too much passion against the winners that they manage to turn the tables for them and win that match at any cost and lastly, luck plays an important role here.

@FortuneJack,
What will you do in the case of nobody being able to end up with 6 consecutive winning predictions in a row?
1945  Local / India / Re: Ideas and Thoughts for celebrating 10th Bitcointalk Anniversary in Indian board on: October 24, 2019, 11:50:13 AM
Being a responsible Indian, I'd like to give in my contribution too worth BTC0.001 (and maybe more at the time of action) whenever any idea takes place to gather a lot more people here because since I've been here for a long time, I've understood that nobody comes here to spend their ^valuable time^ for free and so, we need to get our pockets eased up in order to bring these people out of the dark and let them describe themselves and why didn't they join the Indian subforum, a beautiful local place to be in touch with our homely fellows. My reason was straight, I never found any good discussion here except those that were started or at least discussed by users like legendster, still I kept a space between this subforum and myself but now, no more boundaries, let's bring all of us together and show our Gov too how united we, the Indians are even on a forum. We need to show them that we are huge in number, so let's do it.
1946  Local / India / Re: What's you view on the court case ongoing in Supreme Court-Positive or Negative? on: October 24, 2019, 10:57:27 AM

What was more exciting than that was the fact that these people covered only Facebook's Libra and so, comparing that shit to BTC is purely stupid from our Gov's end. They've already taken years, and now they think they shouldn't rush in order to come up with a policy whether crypto is approved or banned in our country? Geez, they need to understand what level of business are the exchanges losing here and due to the same, they are also slipping the opportunity of getting taxes from a lot of involved entities in crypto at a huge scale. We've got a phrase I'd like share - "Apne pair pe kulhadi de maarna". That's what our Gov did by allowing RBI to take strict actions and just stop every single person they find suspicious of trading in cryptocurrencies.

Which holidays were on oct 15?

@FortuneJack,
I guess there are too many issues popping with your name lately? Is the business alright? I heard about your odds to be the best ones but never ever deposited there, your thread had been coming in front of me every single day since it was starting to fill with complaints. Am I safe enough if I decide to deposit at your website and bet there? When you've limited a long term winner from making single bets and forcing them to make multi bets at a time, will it be the same with me if I choose to go with a team that's not going to win in your views and odds are high, but if it wins, I'll be treated like that user?  Huh

Confused if I should really go for your web or not for sportsbetting.
1948  Local / India / Re: What's you view on the court case ongoing in Supreme Court-Positive or Negative? on: October 22, 2019, 01:45:34 AM
So it again got postponed. Why they aren't willing to even hear the case? I'm not being negative now and am absolutely clueless whether they want to ban it or not. Sad thing is that our Government has strong views when it comes to politics and nothing else and due to this so many exchanges went bankrupt inspite of following all legal norms.
Very true Erikaui. Sadly this really seems to be the case with the present Govt. They have played the populist politics very well to gain an unprecedented presence in both houses. Yet, it is getting more and more evident that they just don't have the expertise when it comes to policy making or implementation.

How come these shit guys who don't even have an IQ level of 0 and IQ goes under negative when they are asked to sing the National song because they don't even know it, will make policies about crypto? They know nothing about crypto, not even interested in learning more about the aspects how crypto can be useful to our country or any place where it can be used. They know nothing about blockchain, don't give shit when it comes to giving time to learn more about it. Come on, they can't learn shit about it because they're too busy with their business (politics) that they have the excuse not to take time to understand anything. The reason why they can't get these things in their brains is they're all oldies and we've got nobody like Anurag Thakur to take immediate actions after analyzing whole situation in the country about a topic we're all eager to get settled. These oldies just hear this and that about BTC from some rascals claiming that BTC is a ponzi, and voila, the next day they come up with a Bill asking the court to ban crypto completely without even taking the time to understand that it wasn't BTC's fault if somebody used it for their criminal activities or to scam someone. Angry

Quote
Also, I think the delay in SC is also attributable to the other massive hearing going on right now on the Ayodhya matter.

Again, the delays are also due to the fact that the Supreme Judge himself may not be able to understand and is being tried to get brainwashed about the whole situation while crypto really has nothing to do with what our Gov is presenting as an argument in front of the Honorary Judge. One more cause is that our country's case decisions take years to be actually received due to the laziness and trials by advocates to take dates ahead in the name of "We need more time to gather more evidence for our case to be proven strong".   Undecided
1949  Local / India / Re: What's you view on the court case ongoing in Supreme Court-Positive or Negative? on: October 19, 2019, 05:31:49 AM
I guess that draft bill will be debated in winter session, this can overrule the court decision so this case may never get it's hearing.

I believe they've just done what they wanted, stopped the banking services by not allowing them to serve exchanges and other people who are anyhow related to crypto dealings but everyone's got their way, thanks to the somewhat untraceable nature of BTC and if you do it right with the use of both VPN and a different address usage every single time you conduct a transaction, I think nobody will be able to trace your back till you leave any fingerprints (evidence) behind. Honestly, like most crypto enthusiastic people, I also don't want the decision to take place as this will be where the Central authorities will jive in, taking control of almost everything from the roots.

actually on 12 November we have Guru Nanak ji birth anniversary

1950  Local / India / Re: Bithumb to launch in India - A thumb to eye for Anti-Bitcoin gang! on: October 17, 2019, 05:43:53 AM
Regulated crypto exchange??

Pretty confusing news! How come an exchange will be regulated when all existing Indian exchanges are getting their business to a different country? I think BitThumb is just being over optimistic about India eyeing the market potential. But they haven't yet faced Indian red tepism and tax terrorism. I would like them to try!

I think that India goes positive on crypto and start with drafting better regulations in order to get the best out of it, they know the potential revenue they can attract by opening doors to multiple high reputation exchanges with less tax, and even if taxes are higher, those exchanges know the potential of Indian investment so they'd dare not to miss the crisp of the piece they'd be getting once they chime into our country. Watching BitHumb taking this step is actually appreciating and giving others a wake up alarm that while others (Indian origin exchanges) have left the country due to the fears, these guys dare to take it to the next level while even being from a different country.
1951  Local / India / Re: Buy bitcoin from binance? on: October 16, 2019, 02:27:44 PM
So recently you can start buying bitcoin from binance using debit card, but since banks are closing accounts which use bitcoin, is it safe? If i use my debit card to buy bitcoin on binance will my bank account close?

There is no issue with buying crypto using Indian cards but keep in mind that you don't have to mentioned any remark related to crypto while doing payment. I better advice you to use CoinDCX or wazirX, one of safest and fastest way for purchasing crypto.

Why won't there be any issue? Even if OP doesn't add any remark related to crypto, won't the Bank be able to see where did they send the money? It will be shown clearly in the statement and they may easily trace you because if you're able to do it once, no wonder you'll try and make your move the second time and go on and on until traced. Make sure that if the Gov's Psychotic crypto ban bill comes into action, OP will get the worst surprise of his entire life by being thrown behind the bars. Using P2P is really good when you know whom you're dealing with and the end party needs to be trustworthy as well, so not to reveal anything crypto related if they file their returns because some are too honest and they don't know that they don't just get stuck alone, but also take the other party scrutinized. Wink
1952  Local / India / Re: What's you view on the court case ongoing in Supreme Court-Positive or Negative? on: October 16, 2019, 02:13:20 PM
I strictly believe that the Gov is still not in favor of BTC at least and they want their national digital currency set up. I don't know why they want to come up with the same when we already have PayTM, though it doesn't have blockchain involved but all the remaining features are the same - everything straight from your bank account to the other party's account where we all get our finances tracked by the Gov and Higher authorities as well as Tax Authorities and we may be traced through as well as reached too because we give our number as well as many of us follow the KYC procedures as it is now mandatory. I think there should be a one on one debate between the community and some Gov officials in the court itself and the hearing should go on till a decision is taken because no matter whatever the outcome is, people will continue to use BTC and this might also increase some "in the dark" trades. It's like if we get something positive on our side, this will at least let those businesses (exchanges) get the pleasure to begin serving their customers with those trades which were stopped due to RBI's involvement here.

1955  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: October 01, 2019, 07:30:03 AM
fullypak has been an account seller for a longtime, has had neg rep for awhile too and doesn't care. Doesn't care about anything except money. The best way to deal with this dude is try to find out what accounts he is selling and report them.

I don't think he's that stupid to give names to anyone to check those accounts, so it's definitely not going to be an easy task for us to try and find any of his accounts (except he left any clues by using same addresses in some bounties and what not). But based on his knowledge about the forum, I don't think he left any footprints as of yet and you will only know after someone actually buys them and starts spamming with those accounts after joining this campaign. And yeah, a personal hats off for your spam busting services.
1956  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: September 30, 2019, 05:17:29 PM
I know they are hungry for money but some of us really deserve to be in this campaign and we put time and effort when we post and then we have this type of users who are abusing the campaign.

For every campaign, there are campaign abusers, trust me. A campaign without a true, dedicated manager is like a horse without a Charioteer, so that horse doesn't know where to move towards and precipitately runs towards any direction he sees fit. To control such horse (signature campaign abuse through spam), I guess we need Charioteers like Yahoo, Darkstar, Lutpin and many other openly dedicated managers to the forum in order to stop that abuse from getting spread. Yahoo is actually doing great work while removing those who don't really deserve to be a part of this campaign and I'll try to be helpful in a way I can - by reporting bad posts and posters to Yahoo.

Sorry, I read one thread and pay attention for such user https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=223772;sa=showPosts randomly. Is it normal for legend to get BTC for such posts?

For that purpose only you're given that "Report to Moderator" link on each our posts! You don't like it? Report it. Great work though. (Thumbs up).

Your English is good.
You should rather look for Vadi2323 who can teach you Russian language in a very charismatic way - spanking your head off by barking unlimited number of usage of words like "whore, slut, faggot, obscene" without trying to present you the major explanation of what you expect from him - TRUTH.
