1961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 30, 2022, 01:03:04 PM
The 2nd game is getting entertaining to watch, I though that this game would be boring because Phoenix struggle big time to score in the 1st quarter, but now we are already in the 3rd quarter and the game is very close already, in fact, I think Phoenix has a good chance of winning the game because they have the momentum here.
1962  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difference Between Bitcoin and Crypto currency on: June 29, 2022, 09:51:08 PM
Going through a lot of thread here,Am convinced that Bitcoin and cryptocurrency serves as a means of Exchange for trading.
Am still trying to understand the clear difference between the both and know how to place them in their separate parts..
I'll like to know more and be corrected where am wrong.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency that is decentralized and considered the biggest asset in the crypto world. While cryptocurrencies such as altcoins are more centralized since they are more controlled and operated with another group or entity. However, most cryptocurrency exchanges are now considered centralized since the government never loses an access to them that makes them more safe for their clients, although there are still few left remain to be decentralized in the market.
1963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most of us have lived a world of USD dominance, but history changes on: June 29, 2022, 09:32:55 PM
Countries like china and Russia have for long wanted to create a well oiled parallel economic system against USD.  I think bitcoin seems to be a good alternative. Why there is a consensus in many countries that bitcoin will be a great alternative, as it is safe, digital and fully transferable. Thus it can in future become accepted future currency.
Bitcoin has really its own potentials that highly qualifies to become a legal currency, but if we think of making it as a global currency, most probably a lot of big countries are still going to oppose its dominance. They would want their own country's official currency instead than to resort in bitcoin which is highly decentralized. However, if by chance bitcoin will be accepted as one, it will be less decentralized as centralization could be the most preferred by all states.
1964  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Enter the market with a loss mindset~what you can afford to lose on: June 29, 2022, 08:57:14 PM
Because no one knows for sure, which price is the bottom and which is the top?

It is true that nobody knows the bottom or the top; this is why it is being preached that everyone (either a newbie or pro) should always take profits everytime in crypto currency. Thast way you don't have to worry about the bottom price or the top price
But it takes a professional trader to still make profits when the market is facing a big crash. Although we can do consistent profits if we learn how to be profitable regardless of the market condition, but newbies will always find it hard to adjust to a bearish market when all they think is that crypto is quick rich scheme to be profitable and get rich. However, experience can change everything, and mostly their concept on how crypto works. And losses can be their biggest motivation to always do things right even when the market is not that good and convenient.
1965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be careful buying alts right now on: June 29, 2022, 08:12:24 PM
It's too early for the bear market to be over, I am saying this because many think we have hit the bottom when ethereum made it to 900$, its not over and you shouldn't be buying coins with all you have, this is a fake out recovery.
Its hard to consider that this bear market is now set to an end, there are more price downtrend along the way and that will all be possible as long as the market has not recover yet. However, regardless of how bearish or even bullish the market is, investing in altcoins will always bring high risk as the altcoins are always known as the playground of all scams. But if someone really want to invest and push through with altcoins, always chose those old and established altcoins as they have proven their worth in the market for long.
1966  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will Investing Help the Economy of a Country on: June 29, 2022, 07:48:58 PM
Investing is Widespread now in the Society such that the Inability of not Investing, is Paving a room for not Benefitting from the Outcome.
And Right now Investing in Crypto is a yardstick of measurement and has created an opportunity that's reliable and trusted..
But I really can't tell how thus Investing in The Economy will help one's Country.
There's always an advantage from investing, but somehow investing like in crypto is much risky and could even result into losses than making profits once not managed properly. However, with any types of investment, its goal is to create economic prosperity and the total welfare of the country. It increases the  country's revenue which i think is a very good thing that contributes to the country's economic growth and development.
1967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the dip and Invest in Bitcoin for long term on: June 28, 2022, 09:59:56 PM
Take Bitcoin as a long term investment and just forget it like it’s in a long-term investment account. Don’t let your emotions get too much into it else you might make the wrong decision and sell at the wrong time. The  best thing you can do is to not look at it, even if crypto is going up or down. That’s exactly what I do especially now that it’s dipping, I don’t want to stress over it because I believe if I hold and wait patiently Bitcoin is going to rise again.
My all time investment strategy is buying more when crypto is dipping, holding and selling back when it increases. In 2020 I bought ethereum when it was $700 and sold when it was $4000 in 2021. Within 2020 and 2021 when the price was going up and down, I decided to ignore the dip and hold on to it till I eventually sold at a good price.
This is the right time to buy more cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin because the  more people come into the market and increases their demand for it, its value continues to grow rapidly.
That's how our mindset should be, invest for long term and do not be so eager to chase for profits because crypto investment is always best when its for long term. After all, the market will not stay forever having price dumps, it will surely recover in the right time and we'll see good profits along the way. For now, its  best to take advantage of the market first and buy a lot of bitcoin while prices are very tempting to invest. With our intention for holding it for long term, we can always ignore the price corrections that is happening, because in the end we'll know that the market still regain its bullish trend and that huge profits are waiting for those who endure long term investment.
1968  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are we going to recover or continue to dump? on: June 28, 2022, 09:10:07 PM
What are your current opinions on the cryptocurrency market?
The market will be up for more bearish movement in the next couple of days so always be ready for that. And that recovery may not be even possible this year i think, so we will have to endure this long term bear market positively. Having said that, let's buy more and hold more while there is good opportunity to invest. This may not be happening again when we start seeing bitcoin skyrocket again to reach its new all time high. So never stop seizing the market while it last.
1969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is buying Panda Elon a good move during this bear market? on: June 28, 2022, 08:28:57 PM
Another useless, worthless meme coin that tries to PR on Ilon Musk? I think there were already some related to Elon and if anyone knows, have they gone under or are they still holding on? I looked at the tokenomics of the project, it says about 20% of proposals, but where is the other 80%? Something tells me that the developers themselves, who have prepared them for sale to hamsters at inflated prices.
The name itself is clear enough that it's another way to scam people as there are no good things in the market that Elon's name is associated. So instead of trusting another worthless coin, just stick to bitcoin and prioritize it while the market still gives us permission to maximize our purchasing power. It's never surprising that in this bear market, meme coins have come out too because admit or not, some fool investors still tempted to buy them since they are also cheap, but their future are not as bright as bitcoin and that's for certain.
1970  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not panic. Everything will get better on: June 27, 2022, 09:40:31 PM
1. Be patient, don't panic.
2. Buy and hold.

The first attitude is very suitable to be applied and very many traders experience tremendous panic when they see the market price drop, especially Bitcoin is now at $18k.

It's becoming increasingly apparent that other coins are very influential on Bitcoin. So, the opportunity to buy to increase the volume of Bitcoin can be done again for long-term investments. The current market situation in my opinion is a very tough test to be applied by those who are impatient.

Do not panic. Everything will get better.
Bitcoin price has increased into $20k but that does not mean that we won’t see future price drops in the next few days. The market is still in a bear season so expect that there will be more price drops ahead, and I don’t think the market will recover easily after here. So don’t get panic and sell. Instead, this is a great time to buy and hold for great profits in the future.
1971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China warns Bitcoin is heading to zero on: June 27, 2022, 06:15:03 PM
Official Chinese national news media outlet warns readers that Bitcoin could go to zero value in order to dissuade them from investing in and using cryptocurrency.

The Chinese government has capitalized on the violent downturn in the crypto market by warning crypto investors that Bitcoin prices are “heading to zero.”

The South China Morning Post reported on June 22 that Chinese national news media agency Economic Daily had issued the warning about the largest cryptocurrency by market cap to further dissuade citizens from adopting the use of crypto.

The Economic Daily report says the west is to blame for creating a highly-leveraged market that is “full of manipulation and pseudo-technology concepts” which it said was an “important external factor” which contributes to Bitcoin’s volatility.

“Bitcoin is nothing more than a string of digital codes, and its returns mainly come from buying low and selling high,” said the newspaper.

As of the time of writing, BTC is trading at $20,386, 71% down from its high and 0.7% down over the past 24 hours according to CoinGecko.

(source: Cointelegraph)
Well, what do we expect from China? Of course, it will never stop from attacking bitcoin especially in this time of uncertainties as people particularly newbies will always believe even in FUDs. Whatever they say, bitcoin is not going to zero value, and its supply and demand has proven it. Although bitcoin never stays with its top price, but it won't settle too in a very low price. I guess those who never understand its volatility will always come out the losers in the end.
1972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rakeback and promotions for limited time on: June 25, 2022, 12:58:55 PM
It's not something to take advantage of, that's just part of the promotion but it is always based on the total wagered of a gambler in a gambling site. I have an account in a certain gambling site that I have been loyally playing to them for years already, if I reach a certain level, they give me some reward, and they will let me choose if I go with a Rakeback or a free bet, but it's not really a big thing though, that's just a little bonus for our loyalty.
1973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a new sportsbook gain trust? on: June 25, 2022, 12:19:10 PM
Everyone talks about reputation, reliability, history and so on. But in fact, there is always a fairly significant percentage of brave (or greedy) gamblers who are willing to take risks and play in a new project if it offers good bonuses. So the easiest and fastest way to gain credibility and market share is to make good investments, offer bonuses and pay them fairly. I think this investment will pay off.
Now day by day it's going to be hard for new sportsbooks to have strong marketing in crypto because we have few very strong casino's and sportsbooks doing business very reliably but still we have good for new ones as well, so they need to do some very attractive bonuses and their terms and conditions are also needed to be very flexible for all users mostly new one's have issues here as someone wins big they stopped withdrawal and starting security checking or other issues which are never been ideal you have to do all things in early part of starting this all.

Other things which are also working good are good bounties and signature campaigns are also having very good impact on new ones with good marketing on social media also bring some good number of users.

It is difficult to enter into any business - especially when the market is growing not at an explosive but at a normal pace and the "pie" has already been divided among the existing players. But this is just a matter of investment - if you have the capital, you can get a part of the market and even if you affect its profitability a little, this will be quickly compensated by the fact that the market is growing and you, like your competitors, will continue to make a profit.

The market is big, capital is the most important but as long as you have a good team that will manage the business, then there's a chance that the business will grow and will be able to compete. Every business starts from being a newbie in the market, but it doesn't mean they won't succeed, because if they do the right strategy, competing against the big players is always possible.
1974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 25, 2022, 11:24:31 AM
The first game has already started.

The score is 41-30 in favor of the Blackwater, but it's too early, I don't understand why they are even in the bookies when it's very clear that Blackwater is the better team. What are your thoughts on that? I guess Blackwater is an easy pick here.

Yeah, it's an easy win by Blackwater, they already lead 22 points after the 3rd quarter and I don't think that DYIP will be able to have a run in the 4th quarter for a come back win, congrats in advantage to those who bet on Blackwater to win.

I think they didn't win a single quarter, the game ended up like it was a one sided game.
Blackwater win by 37 points, the final score is 107-70, hmm... I didn't realize that there's a huge odds waiting for a special bet for a team winning 26+ points, the odds of that one is sure more than 50+, sometimes I put a bet on that but this one I did not think it's gonna happen.
1975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 25, 2022, 10:57:16 AM
I like the way GGG is smiling to Canelo even Canelo is so serious during the staredown, this looks like GGG is already prepared anything and not afraid fighting with Canelo for the third times. It's funny how GGG switch from thumb up hand poses to boxer poses, he probably forgot this is boxing event lol. Not really sure why Canelo look so serious to GGG, perhaps this is because he lose against Bivol.

LOL.. the picture just tells us who will be in a lot of pressure and who will be the one in a relaxed mood. A lot of expectation on Canelo and a lot of people are arguing that he refused the trilogy fight previously because he was afraid of GGG. The biased scorecard adds further to the controversy. Betting odds are also heavily favoring Canelo. A loss to Golovkin will be disastrous not just for his career, but for his finances as well. On the other hand, Golovkin is smiling because he is earning tens of millions of USD, when he is quite close to retirement. He has nothing to lose.

I like how GGG is so cool, it doesn't change anything though because the real battle is in the ring. What we have to expect is that both fighters will give us a good fight and a clean fight because they respected each other. I hope Canelo will not underestimate GGG as he might experience his two straight loss if he will get too complacent.
1976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 25, 2022, 10:05:43 AM
Maybe its time to retire or continue to play until his body wont really be doing good anymore? He had already achieved and been recognized but hate to say this that there are much more better younger players which could able to surpass on what he currently able to do.

Retirement should not even be an option. There is surely still a lot of gas left on the tank, so lots that he can still bring dominance on the court. He just needs some good teammates now to assist him as carrying a team is not the heavy toll that he should do always.

He can still be aggressive at some point and we see that last season.

Anyways, OP should now lock the thread as the discussion is now getting nowhere. The Finals already ended weeks ago. Smiley

There's no retirement because he can still deliver, he has  great stats but the only problem is it's hard for him to win a championship again. The King is not agressive as before, his purpose in playing now is to break a record and for sure he can still break more records as he is still healthy.
1977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 25, 2022, 09:37:34 AM
Disregard any technical analysis if you want to bet on who really you like.

It's like supporting a boxer disregarding the opponent's strength just like we did in some previous fight involving a PH boxer. After all, it's really hard to speculate on what type of winning methods does this fight will end.

For now, I'm not seeing a TKO on both boxers but a point dominance by Magsayo. He can take advantage of his quickness in the early rounds just like before. I'm also expecting him to be a different boxer now with much more replenished stamina as that's the problem he is facing before.

For support, I think anyone can support anyone but when it comes to money, people should make the best decision with enough analysis. But having a good past record also doesn't mean that it explains exactly what will happen though.

Magsayo is quick but he will have to be careful that he doesn't gas out trying to utilize the quickness. He needs to manage his energy well. It's true that in later rounds punches don't generally have the same power as when a fighter is not tired. He will have to keep that in mind as well.

He is not quick like other champions IMO, he is the champion, yes, that is right but the fact that some are still doubting him, that only tells they are not fully confident that Magsayo will reign for long in his current division. I hope Magsayo will prove the doubters wrong, and it can only happen if he win by KO.
1978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 24, 2022, 11:10:01 AM

Right now NBA Draft Paolo Banchero was the number 1 pick by the Orlando Magic, while Jabari Smith was the 3rd pick by the Houston Rockets, and right now I feel sad because our full-blown Filipino player Kai Sotto was undrafted, but still, I think he can surely train harder and aim for it next season,

Well, he is not on the top list of players that would be drafted so I'm not surprised. Though we are hopeful that he will get drafted, but we have to accept the reality, yes, there's always a next season, all he has to do is to improved himself and try to be a dominant center, he is still young so there's still plenty of opportunity for him.

Yes Indeed, and I really wish this will not going to be an upset for him but could be a Rekindled fire that will ignite to put the effort to be 1st on the list, right now Bronny James is struggling aswell, there is always a next time for both kids, making a big leap in their rankings because I would like to see a full Blown Filipino Playing in the NBA and the Tandem on Lebron and Bronny well kind of curious what can happen but yeah Kai Sotto still has a ceiling he can fill, I think he needs to increase in speed and gained more muscle for the next draft,

I think there are NBA players who are undrafted but made their way to the NBA, and they even get popular.

Some of the players I know are Luka Doncic and Jeremy Lin, they made their name and now actively Luka already has superstar status.
Therefore Kai Sotto should not loss his hope, the time will come for him as long as he continue to pursue his dreams.
1979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 24, 2022, 10:29:28 AM
I like the over 180.5 of this game as well.
This could happen if their outside shooting will both hit, this should be an entertaining match up since both teams are a championship contender.

The way it's going now, it looks like it's still under.

The current total is only 157.5... That's too low compared to the pregame line which is 180.5, this is a very defensive game, just like the first game.
It's still a close game, SMB had already taken the lead but it's still a manageable lead anyway.
1980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA draft on: June 24, 2022, 06:22:41 AM
Jabari Smith is one of the basketball players I'm most curious about in this draft and who I think has the highest potential. I think he's a good choice for the Houston Rockets.
The team will be more successful this year, the contribution of its young and quality players will be very valuable Smiley
I don't expect a lot of contribution from a rookie, we never know if they can carry their talent in the NBA. And also, the Rockets are still in the rebuilding stage, so success won't come so easy, they need to create good chemistry first, and it seemed like Christian Wood will be traded.

https://www.mavsmoneyball.com/2022/6/22/23177184/analyzing-what-the-dallas-mavericks-are-losing-in-the-christian-wood-trade

Of course, a rookie may not be able to show their full performance in a short time, but the Houston Rockets have been a good team for young players to shine. We saw this with Alperen Şengün last year, she became an actress liked by many and we can say that she is getting better every day.
Jabari Smith's potential is quite high and I think if he doesn't have a problem, he may be one of the basketball players whose name we hear the most in the next 10 years Smiley

That's the problem with some rookies though, it's either they are a bust or not. Wood being traded means that they will go full on Alperen Şengün as their center. And they have a long of still young players being developed including Jabari Smith. So we will see how this rookies and sophomores will developed into a great player. So for now, let's hope that this breed of drafted players are names that we are going to hear because they are very good and not a missed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but none of the rookies in the past have made a big impact in the NBA yet. I'm talking about the same impact that Lebron, Kyrie, and Williamson impact on their rookie year after they got drafted. I don't want to expect a lot from these rookies, but I hope I'm wrong and they'll surprise me.
