What do you think?

I think u should monetize it by placing ads.
What do you mean?

This is a good opportunity to place ads to earn money that could be spent to buy more servers in future when u get 1+ mllion users a day.
Already did.

Also I posted a link to the NXT forum from doges.org

Should widen NXT's reach.

Let's wait to see how this Doge-ers migration impact Nxt price.

I think we need to plea BCNext to implement Alias transfer as soon as possible. It would make the whole alias system alive.

AFAIK BCNext is planning to run Voting System and then stakeholders will vote if alias transfer will be allowed at all.

BCNext needs to wake up. Who do not want to be able to sell/ gift/ transfer their assets. Aren't we all for liberty and individual rights ? Voting is only a formality in this case. I would ask anyone to vote NO to swear that they will keep their alias forever.

Technicality aside, Bitcoin escapes harder regulations from Western countries because it is what it is a certain hybrid between commodity, payment system and currency. By trying too hard to be just a currency, eMu has much larger risks from the government if it manages to succeed at all.

wow, target % has gone waaaay up all of a sudden.  surprising as I figured EVERYONE would be on about now waiting on 22000

We now have 2447 accounts. 600 new accounts have been created in the last 24 hours. I am worried that the network will be overloaded at launch.

But I'm struggling to understand what will make you rich. You can't trade aliases so you can't sell them.

I see the potential advantages of having an alias if you were running you're own business, but what does it matter if I have google, or batman, or sex? How do I get rich?

Even if you could trade an alias NXT would have to become significantly bigger than bitcoin and cryptos in general become significantly bigger, it's a long road ahead and who knows what the 3rd or 4th generation of cryptos will bring and bitcoin has far from made it.

I'm a NXT supporter check my history, but people are talking about this like it's a sure thing when we don't even know if any of the current coins will be around in a couple of years!!

If I want to go to batman.com I will just open a web browser and go there. I feel like I'm missing something obvious but I don't know what.

transfer alias feature will be implemented.
1986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 22, 2013, 01:11:41 AM
to clarify, should we submit if the last block was 21999 or 22000?

As far as I know 22001 is the first block to register an alias so submit if the last block was 22000.

The alias feature is cool but I'm struggling to understand why people are staying up late in a desperate bid to secure aliases.

Wait until every single teen in this planet want an NXT alias.

I hope I win the fee lottery for this block coming up Tongue
When is it coming? im worried that my stake will not be effective soon enough.
300 blocks more...

Anyone can estimate the time of the launch ?

Can't wait to see the whole process unfolding.
1990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 21, 2013, 08:02:34 PM
So is anyone sitting on 20 tabs with various alias' waiting for block 22,000 to hit?

It's more profitable to register 1 premium alias and offer 100k fee imo.

Edit: That's interesting if anyone going to register "g00gle"...

You wouldn't need to encourage the arm-race Smiley How about we are all doing a 10NXT per alias. Everyone happy.
1991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 21, 2013, 05:46:26 PM
That mean there is only one allias confirmed per block?

If I remember correctly, each block size is 32 KiB maximum. The minimum transaction size is 128 byte. So one block can only contain so many transactions. Just how many it depends on the size of the transactions. 250 max.

I remember somewhere Code from Beyond said maxium 4000 aliases can be carried in one block.
1992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 21, 2013, 03:47:57 PM
Really no need to be on an arm-race for aliases. There should be a plenty for everyone. I  very unfortunately have to travel at 22000 block. Would ask the wife to act as aproxy but not sure she is tech-savy enough to handle unexpected issues.
1993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING about Nextcoin NXT the new altcoin is this legit? on: December 21, 2013, 03:13:27 PM
just another scam coin, no worries Cool

I don't get why people think this is a scam coin. I would really like to know.

-The forums and exchange was created by an investor in the coin not even the creator of the coin to get the coin more known by the public.

-EVERYONE had to pay to get coins from creator on down, hence there was no pre-mining. People in the beginning got it the cheapest, but nothing different than any other altcoin or bitcoin in the beginning. The reallllly early investors took the risk of it getting even released. The thing was even capped at 1 BTC per person.

-Nxt mining(forging) are exchanged by transaction fees, just like how Bitcoin or any other coin will be once they stop creating new coins.

If anyone is really worried. I will buy 100k Nxt for .000001 BTC = .1 BTC... and take the Nxt off their hands though  Grin

EVERYONE had to pay the creator to get coins
, "hence there was no pre-mining" <-plain lie
Nxt people just try to re-define the term premine!,
What ist the difference Between an Altcoin where the Creator Premines 100% and NXT where the Creator "minted" 100%?!?
Yes, no difference only a word puzzle.

There is no difference that he Spread at the start the coin to investors (for huge value amounts!)
and just selling them directly. Still every coin in the first place in sold from the devilopper.

Yeah, it is just like Larry and Sergey invites you to join Google party in 2002. Don't mistake Nxt with a coin. It is much bigger.

Hey CfB

1. time plan to implement 2 or 3 digit NXT ;
2. can we implement advanced features for the account in a client such as required multiple passwords to send money etc.
3; implement two level confirmation to increase security ?
1997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 21, 2013, 01:34:34 PM
Just a thought. Currently, a Namecoin costs 4$ and you can register one .bit domain for one namecoin. In NXT system, you can create one alias for 1 Nxt which could be a domain, and much more, way superior than the way namecoin works. Namecoin is going to be dead-in-the-water.

What should be the price of 1 NXT then ? Crazy .
1998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 21, 2013, 01:32:39 PM
i dont agree sorry.

in the last 4-5 pages i have asked the same questions 3 times and i have been ignored by code from beyond.

also sorry but when you announce a complicated feature with a start in the next day or so, you need to have at least some technical answers ready and a guide.

releasing it and waiting for people to ask questions that you may answer and may not, is not only amateur but shady.

the only thing that was released is the alias.html and that we can use it to register aliases. all other info comes from random questions from members here. this is not fair for example many ppl would be searching the nxtforum itself for guides.

Nxt is Wild West atm.

are you seriously as a representative state this? ok if it is wild west then u have an automatic machine gun and we have knifes. thanks for telling us!

Don't fight us. Indians !
1999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 21, 2013, 01:20:03 PM
How long does it take for me to know the alias has been taken after I sent the request ?
2000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 21, 2013, 01:17:57 PM
what i don't understand about the alias system is the "deadline" and the "confirmed/forged".

If someone get Google at block 22001 because he is the highest bidder, can someone still oubid him in the next blocks?

The highest bidders get on the first block with their chosen alias. I think when the block is confirmed then that's it. The alias belongs to you. Code from beyond Huh
