1981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 24, 2022, 05:56:18 AM

Right now NBA Draft Paolo Banchero was the number 1 pick by the Orlando Magic, while Jabari Smith was the 3rd pick by the Houston Rockets, and right now I feel sad because our full-blown Filipino player Kai Sotto was undrafted, but still, I think he can surely train harder and aim for it next season,

Well, he is not on the top list of players that would be drafted so I'm not surprised. Though we are hopeful that he will get drafted, but we have to accept the reality, yes, there's always a next season, all he has to do is to improved himself and try to be a dominant center, he is still young so there's still plenty of opportunity for him.
1982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 24, 2022, 04:56:05 AM

That's the advantage for us as crypto gamblers who have lots of coins to gamble and don't depend on BTC so if we feel not good for using BTC, we can use altcoins. I also often use altcoins like TRX, LTC, and ETH, especially if the price of BTC goes down because that means I have to use more BTC for a minimal deposit at the casino. But I also often stop gambling for a while when the BTC price drops because that's better for me.
If BTC goes down, you can expect that altcoins will also go down, the best alternative if we don't want to get affected by the volatility is just to use a stable coins for gambling, I'm sure we can find a gambling sites that accepts a stable coins as some of them have already added it as payment system.
1983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8 months low, no better time than now. on: June 23, 2022, 09:58:50 PM
So much have been in the fore play in Bitcoin and to that a lot of issues have forced Bitcoin to behave in the current behavior, from sec calling Bitcoin an anti-environment and eco friendly even though we know all this are campaign of fallacy championed by anti Bitcoin crusader.
Bitcoin haters are fond of doing these fake news every time the crypto market is down, and this is not new to everyone here. While they always anticipate for the collapse of bitcoin and its crypto market, not even knowing that this will even gain us more interest in the market as the more prices are dipping, the bigger the opportunity to re invest again. So let them believe in their own lies, as they can't do nothing if they see us making great profits when the bullish season is here again.
1984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ethereum Dominance on: June 23, 2022, 09:35:41 PM
The fight between Bitcoin and Ethereum dominance is very interesting to follow and we all know Bitcoin has always dominated the cryptocurrency market and for now it looks like Ethereum is getting closer to Bitcoin and Ethereum Supply will deflation decrease -2% a year after The Merge proof of stake later. Will a new king of the cryptocurrency market willcome?
Bitcoin and ethereum have always its close competition in the market but there's no way that bitcoin will be replaced from its position since its always bitcoin that dominated the market ever since. And its utility cases are different, so people would always prefer bitcoin as the top rated investment while ethereum will always be the most usable smart platform in most of the old and new existing projects.
1985  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you struggle learning about bitcoin? on: June 23, 2022, 09:21:12 PM

I do not know if this topic has been shared here before but it is something that has given me serious concern. Eventhough I have been registered here a long time ago, I still find it difficult learning and understanding bitcoin technical aspect, the blockchain and development. I know this is a shame to admit but that is what am faced with. I once tried to read the white paper but could not make much meaning out of it. Is this just only me as someone who has zero knowledge of science or there are also people who are in science but still find learning bitcoin confusing and challenging? Is there a way out of this? Please am not asking for books to read. I need real life experiences of those who passed through this and overcame it.
Bitcoin is really confusing in the first place, especially if you only know about fiat and its your first time to know that bitcoin also exists. Everyone is expected to struggle at first but as you gain more knowledge and experience while exploring the crypto market and bitcoin, you will understand that bitcoin is here because we need it, and that fiat is less valuable than bitcoin. Just continue to discover everything about bitcoin, soon you will come to understand what bitcoin is all about and why its blockchain technology is what we need the most.
1986  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every "Bitcoin is Dead Headline" is a Buying Opportunity on: June 23, 2022, 08:57:36 PM
A declaration by Binance CEO- CZ

I cant agree more with this man, when other people are busy shouting "Bitcoin is dead", CZ is saying that that is the best time to load and reload your Bitcoin bag, every dip is a buying opportunity but its rather sad that many people dont understand this, they want the price of Bitcoin to just keep going up and up, this is not possible because what drives the price of Bitcoin is not some algorithm but people, real people, its just like in a debate where majority carries the winning vote, your action on the Bitcoin market determines what your vote is, you buy, your vote goes to buy and the higher the buy votes, the higher the price goes.
On the other hand, you sell, your vote goes for sell, and the higher the sell votes, the lower the price goes, then the good news is that the lower the price goes, the higher the opportunity to cast your buy votes because at some point, the buy votes will always go way higher than the sell votes which means price will go really high and then you who casted your buy votes when every other persons were casting a sell vote (thereby dragging the price down), will get to make good profit.

I've always read in the internet that once bitcoin continue to experience dips, people always claimed that bitcoin is dead, or the crypto market will collapse. For them to know, bitcoin will never be dead unless the demand has gone. But i believe only the bitcoin antagonists has always the say on that. The bitcoin protagonists and those wise investors will always consider having dips as the best opportunity to invest so they can start earning more bitcoin and increase its volume in their portfolio. So there's no reason to fear when bitcoin is in deep bearish, as it brings golden opportunity to enter in the crypto market.
1987  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Elon musk's buying of Twitter fueled by Jack Sweeney?? on: June 23, 2022, 08:27:58 PM
I really doubt it. Elon Musk buying Twitter is more of the desire to earn more and control more. It must not be out of fear. Elon Musk ventured into the great unknown with his space program. Why should he even cower at a child's trick? The richest man on Earth is even trying to colonize Mars, and you think he is afraid of a young boy? For goodness' sake! Elon is not even taking this child seriously.
We all know how Elon Musk is so focused on all his desires, and once he aimed for that, he won't stop finding ways until it became his own. So his decisions are definitely his own will, and not that he was threatened nor being tricked,  especially with this young boy who has less experience compared to Elon. And his inner desire to buy Twitter has nothing to do with other people, as he is known to be more selfish when it comes to profits.
1988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A police officer (ASP) in Bangladesh was detected as crypto investor on: June 23, 2022, 07:53:11 PM
It's funny to see a police officer who was supposed to working as per the law, has recently been detected as a cryptocurrency investor. Well, I'm happy to see that personally to be honest.
Last month, the ASP has posted on twitter that he was holding 130 million LUNC which was around ~$70k at that moment. We all know what happened to Luna. He has invested in LUNC after the LUNA crash.
Though I'm personally happy to see that, but it shows how people in Bangladesh are breaking the laws. A lot of people are active in cryptocurrency trading despite govt discouraging it many times.
It's sad they have picked shitcoin instead of bitcoin.

We can't expect that all officers are certainly doing things that support the law, some are definitely against the law so they have to hide it, otherwise they'll be claim the first to break the law. I think this police officer knows the real value of cryptocurrency so instead of supporting fiat, he chose to invest in crypto for bigger profits compared to fiat. And maybe he's a big time investor and has been doing that in the previous years as he takes no fear to invest and hold in such a very huge amount.  But yeah, too bad he never stick to bitcoin as its certainly the best crypto asset.
1989  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom For Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2022, 09:27:39 PM
What do you think will be the bottom for Bitcoin, from which it will begin to recover? Another question is whether now is the best time to invest or whether waiting for more dump is advisable.
You can't precisely predict the bottom price of bitcoin since its always uncertain in the first place. No one here is good enough to do that. But you can still invest even if it's not the bottom price, just by doing DCA. After all, your aim is to hold bitcoin for long term investment so even if you don't buy at its bottom, as long as you only sell them at its good and reasonable price, you will still be profitable. Just be patient once you invest as bitcoin may not recover its price easily as it could take a year for it to recover.
1990  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: June 22, 2022, 08:04:14 PM
Everyone of us are facing the same bears right now. All our portfolios' values are falling. If we compare them several months ago, we're indeed having a huge loss. But I actually don't mind this kind of loss. This isn't permanent, after all. I know very well that this will pass. I am a hundred percent sure that the good times will be back sooner or later. So I'm not at all depressed or disappointed or whatever.

Some are saying that in times like this we're led back to the fundamentals and the technology and away from the price. But, to be honest, even if we focus on the price right now, there's really not a big problem. My optimism is not at all lessened. Even if Bitcoin falls all the way to $1,000, I'm sure it is still nearer to $100,000 than 0.
I think being optimistic despite of the huge loss we have right now is one thing that we should look forward because in the end, bitcoin is not going to collapse but this bearish market could be the start of a new ATH again once bitcoin gains its momentum. No matter how many times bitcoin will fall, we should not fall into depression as we have always seen that history takes part and will always repeat again. So learn from all your losses today, but make sure to never give up.
1991  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking Loans - Is it ideal? on: June 21, 2022, 09:33:05 PM
I have a friend who are keep on asking me if taking loans just to buy Bitcoin is ideal thing to do so?
I understand the market is very cheap right now, and because of this I just want to share some tips especially to those newbies who are also considering the same thing.

Before you apply for a loan make sure to consider this first.

1. How much money you can afford to take the risk?
2. Is the profit enough to repay the loan, is there any guarantee?
3. Can you still repay the loan even if the market continues to drop?
4. Is your collateral enough to cover your loans?
5. Are you confident about your investment decision?

These are the common questions for myself before taking loan for the purpose of reinvesting, I know this can be a good opportunity to increase your holdings but if you don't have the funds yet, better not to rush yourself and just wait for the right moment. Taking loans is good if you are responsible enough to repay it, but if you think you can't better not to apply at all.

Taking loans will only be ideal if you have other stable investments that have been already generating good income for you. And that your purpose of taking loans is to widen your investment or diversify your investments. But for newbies who are starting yet to build their own investment, taking loan will not be helpful at all. It will only create pressures  on your part. And by the time its time to repay your loan, and your investment is still not surging, then definitely your life will be rekt. So always avoid it from happening as much as possible.
1992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Crossed 20k USD!! Don’t lose hope now. on: June 21, 2022, 08:41:10 PM
So Bitcoins have started recovering as we can see from the charts.
Yesterday Bitcoins were at 17k USD and now currently it has crossed 20k USD. It’s now at around 20,800 USD and it’s still increasing.
It’s not yet late to buy the Bitcoins, those have panicked and sold their Bitcoins, now it’s time again to buy it.
Don’t know whether it’s the end of the bear market or not, but still the price have given us the Bitcoin traders a great hope.
Hope soon Bitcoin recovers it’s price, and we all will end up with great profits.
What are your thoughts on this?
Selling bitcoin in times of a bear market will only create more losses, since this is not a time of selling them but a good time for accumulation. So always chose to buy more instead of selling more. And yes, the current price of bitcoin is still a great opportunity to buy, so buy now and make profits later. In the end, bitcoin has always seen recovering from its dips, so no doubt what we have at the present will always be temporary and that we can still expect for bitcoin to skyrocket again and reach its new all time high soon.
1993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: June 18, 2022, 06:21:46 PM
Perhaps there was more match-fixing when technology was not common than now. We can't know this but in the current situation at least with the help of technology, match-fixing events may have been minimized. In addition, there is a fact called the match-fixing economy. I think you have a huge economic power. We don't know what's going on at the back door.
Match fixing always have the price, its more easy to have this if both parties are willing to participate and yes the technology also one of the reason why is this happening and seriously they also know how to adopt. I believe there are more match fixing in boxing since it only involves two boxer and its easy to throw the match on boxing. In other sports, you can also have this some is not easy to tell if its fixed or not but sometimes its obvious.

These days a fixed match is hard to point out even though we see some signs but we cannot totally prove it, that said, I bet that is still happening in some sports, either if it's football, horseracing, dart, or other sports but we certainly don't have intel about that because that information is only shared in closed and higher management. I agree, fixing a match now might be hard because of the improved technology.

Quote

I find this hard to believe especially in the upper tier where boxers are really carving their names in the industry to have a legacy before they retire. Maybe in the lower-tier where boxers are starting to create hype in their name, that said, there was a rumor that Jake Paul-Tyron Woodley fight was rigged and there are some videos that could somehow point out that it's rigged.
1994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 18, 2022, 05:54:51 PM

Lebron James is getting older and has no old performance.
Stephen Curry will surpass Lebron in the number of championships.
We can say that Golden State has regained its strength, they are the favorites for the championship again next year. But next year I want to see Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving as champions.

Yes, LeBron James is already near his retirement year but not now, maybe he'll play 2 more seasons before he decide if it's already his time. The thing that is preventing him to retire is he is still waiting for his son Bronny to be drafted and join the NBA, and that's also the reason why he chose not to re-sign with the Lakers management to be free agent so that he can move to teams where his son is playing.

In terms of championship rings, Steph Curry and LeBron James have now 4 rings and no doubt that Steph Curry will be ahead in that race soon and maybe he can also have more rings than Michael Jordan had.
1995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 18, 2022, 05:33:04 PM
Canelo can still fight even if he losses to GGG. But he needs to beat a good name fighter to have his name still at the top. Possible that the rematch with Bivol, promoters will have to milk him because they know he still has a lot of fans.

Of course, Canelo Alvarez can still fight even if he losses to GGG. Losing to GGG doesn't mean it's now the end of his boxing career. I doubt Dmitry Bivol's camp will still be interested in taking the challenge from Canelo. There's no Title at risk and Bivol wants to add some title to his career. Canelo should go back to his comfort weight class and fight those top on the ranking there.

Until Canelo doesn't have any title at stake, Bivol will just ignore him for a rematch. But first, he needs to win against GGG. He won't stand a chance at Bivol again if he won't be able to beat the old and veteran GGG.

Bivol could make better money if he will fight Canelo again, forget about the title, it will come for him because he is already a champion.

In their previous fight, Canelo made $40 million while Bivol was guaranteed with a $2 million purse, so I think in a rematch, his share will better, maybe 60/40 of the total revenue.

source

I can imagine that Bivol was sleeping good after that fight while Canelo was still frustrated by the result and certainly he's having a trouble sleeping for some days. He totally made Canelo as an additional trophy in his record, and certainly, that will open new doors for him because he managed to defeat the pound-for-pound king.

If they will pursue some rematch then Bivol's cut will be much greater this time as Canelo is more interested in him than the other way around.
1996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Mantra After, while playing And Before You Gamble on: June 18, 2022, 05:12:25 PM

Just like them that use mantras, you're free to express your opinion about it. Some will say the same thing as what you've said and it's not going to change.
No one forces anyone to use spells or anything. It's just that they've said that there really are people who uses it for their own comfort and belief and on that part, even you tell them that they don't have to use it. You won't stop them and the same as you that tells everyone that gambling is for entertainment, that also won't stop the professional gamblers to gamble for a living.

Personally, I don't believe in these things because I know that we create our own fate and believing in it won't help increase our chances to win while gambling but that is only natural as from time to time we get to interact or meet some people who believe in these things especially if we gamble often, not because they are guaranteed to win but they have these sort of things to boost their confidence and that is their way to comfort themselves. Some may find it illogical but I find them interesting.
1997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it so hard to win at gambling? on: June 18, 2022, 04:56:06 PM
Honestly, I haven't seen a banker or a casino close; the bettor always loses; why is that?

Well, there are also some instances where casinos are the loser and eventually go bankrupt because they failed to take-in bettors as their regular clients. Business needs clients and when there are no clients then there's certainly no business, casinos are almost everywhere in some modern countries so they need to meet the client needs so that they will be visited frequently as other casinos are also competitive enough. But that case is not often because there are lots of bettors than casinos, so each casino can somehow cater enough clients.

Nice game between the SMB and Magnolia now. I  took the SMB when they were down and I got them on ML.

It's still a close game now, both teams are just trading baskets and it doesn't matter if it will end up a close game as long as SMB wins.  Grin

Good for you mate that you took the SMB ML on that game, I did the opposite, betting for the Timplados ML @1.9 when they were up by 6 points but unfortunately the Beermen woke up in the fourth quarter and win the game.

Blackwater and NorthPort game is on going as of this writing and it is a close game with Northport only leading by a point. I won't bet on who will win this time but rather on the total score of both teams as I'm having a profitable day with that option hehe.

Now i'm betting for Under 192.5 @1.80.

Good luck on your bet mate, looks like the under will hit on this game.

The halftime score is 48-48. the current under/over now is 191.5, there's only a little change but I have a feeling that this game will go under.
Again, Blackwater is still consistent, they are +4.5 but I think they have a chance to win here.

And Blackwater defeated the Batang Pier for their second win this conference, seems like Blackwater is not a push-over team anymore.

My bet for the under won but not without a scare hehe, both teams were hitting their marks in the first few minutes of the quarter, i thought that the score would reach a total of 200 but luckily for me, they slowed down the tempo with 3 minutes left in the ball game.

Forward to the next game between the Bolts and TNT, who you've got to win this game?

I will observe first and bet on the under/over again  Smiley.

Told ya, you'll win.  Smiley  Congratulations.

Well, next game, I like the TNT here, I missed the odds now, what is the point spread on this game.

I will just bet on live because it's not available anymore... by the way, I almost won my Blackwater 11+ bet, that was x10 odds.
1999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 18, 2022, 11:03:50 AM
There's a rumor that Andrew Wiggins might be potential trade due to increasing salary wage of Warriors. They need to trade someone to resolve this and Wiggins has the high chance rate to be trade since Warriors will not gonna let go there Big 3. I don't know if this will commence but I believe this possible since Warriors has really have a high salary cap right now and this is not healthy to there franchise.

Wiggins is one of the most important players for this team, we have seen his influence in the last games. One of the players who helped them become champions and leaving the team will not be good for the Golden State Warriors.
I think the team needs to find a different solution for this situation, you don't want to spoil it when you have a good team that won championships Smiley

They can trade Wiggins if they want, besides, it's the system of the Warriors that make a player good, so anyone who has the talent like Wiggins can blend with the team very well. Wiggins has a very high salary, he is next to Thompson, but of course, they can trade him with more players.

Yes, I am also aware that Wiggins' salary is high when we think of it as a salary. But he is a very important player for the team.
There may be 2-3 players who can join the squad instead of Wiggins, but I don't know how efficient players will be.
The number of quality players in the team is high and the Golden State Warriors can do something to become the champion in the coming years with the new players to join the squad Smiley

Wiggins is not part of the big 3, of course, they can replace him as long as the players that the Warriors will acquire will play the system of the Warriors. For sure there are plenty of players out there who are willing to play with the Warriors as this is a championship team.

Wiggins already earn a championship, so he will be more useful to whatever team that will acquire him through trade.
