2001  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinjedi / betsofbitco.in SCAMMERS: Declares "Push" on obvious win for BFL bet on: May 02, 2013, 08:55:58 AM
In other words, if you have a website, you're a captain of industry and caveat emptor, f*** you got mine, immune from prosecution...

In other words you think this is the UN, and this forum is a court all businesses shall be prosecuted in?
2002  Economy / Services / Re: Is a thread suggesting my girlfriend and I will provide certain services against on: May 02, 2013, 05:09:24 AM
May want to edit that into the op, or make a new thread that's more concise and lock this one.
2003  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Inaba (Josh BFL ) Please pay your debt - Moderators, please take action! on: April 30, 2013, 05:04:20 PM
Indeed. Maybe after he calms down he can come back, but he needs a break, and needs to stop spamming the forum.

Feel free to stop sending me messages anytime, you lost the privilege of a personal conversation  Smiley. You can post in one of the 4 threads you made and I might respond when I get around to it.

I gave him several chances, he chose not to take them.
2004  Other / Meta / Re: Post about BFL and Inaba's debt deleted....do you consider it normal? CUBA? on: April 30, 2013, 04:17:52 PM
I don't get it. Did I say something wrong or is that not the right thread?
2005  Other / Meta / Re: Post about BFL and Inaba's debt deleted....do you consider it normal? CUBA? on: April 30, 2013, 04:01:12 PM
It wasn't deleted, it was moved to scam accusations. Goofball.

Scammers coming out of the woodwork.
2007  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 5 replies or 5 posts? on: April 30, 2013, 03:00:59 PM
So this counts as a post then?

Yes, you posted a reply.
2008  Other / Off-topic / Re: chat with a scammer on: April 30, 2013, 01:50:12 PM

stealing is taking something that doesnt belong to you without permission. i didnt take anything. it was given to me.
If there's one thing that I've learned on this forum, it's that irrational people can rationalize anything.
2009  Other / Off-topic / Re: chat with a scammer on: April 30, 2013, 01:46:02 PM
i dont steal.

2010  Other / Meta / Re: Show new replies to your posts on: April 30, 2013, 01:03:12 PM
Yes, that was a no. You can try deleting your post in that thread, it might stop them.
It's not an easy change, that's why the watchlist was implemented in the first place, for this exact scenario (and adding threads without having to post in them).

I don't see what's so difficult about it, importing your current list is one click, after that it has the same functionality and usage as the "new replies" link, but has increased utility and allows you to remove specific threads.
2011  Other / Meta / Re: Show new replies to your posts on: April 30, 2013, 12:03:38 PM
Use the watchlist instead, you can have it add topics as you post in them, then remove the ones you aren't interested in.

2012  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How would you go about trading LTC for FC so no one gets ripped off? on: April 27, 2013, 06:47:44 PM
I don't follow the altcoins much so I couldn't recommend anyone, sorry.
2013  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How would you go about trading LTC for FC so no one gets ripped off? on: April 27, 2013, 04:14:53 PM
Escrow is safest if you can find someone trustable who deals with both alt coins.
2014  Other / Off-topic / Re: WTF? on: April 26, 2013, 03:22:47 PM
Voted nachos.
2015  Other / Meta / Re: Rating System for forum users. on: April 26, 2013, 03:01:35 PM
A reputation system won't help against long cons like Pirate, but what does? There isn't much the forum can do, even requiring ID to register an account wouldn't do much good. There's always a bonding system of some sort, but that's better left to third parties who are setup and have the time for it.

But just because a reputation system doesn't help against those types of cases, shouldn't rule it out entirely. I think it would be extremely helpful for the newbies that get scammed by disposable accounts with two or three months aged and 5 posts, or the pm scammers. Will be more difficult to make disposable scammer accounts en masse, because someone gaming the rep system on a large scale will be noticed, and the rep system could adapt to compensate.
2016  Other / Meta / Re: Could we make people pay a small amount for each post like 100 satosih? on: April 25, 2013, 01:10:49 PM
its not freedom of speech to insult people or bitcoin or anything else unless its a joke

not as retarded as your face

We should be paying you to post.

But no, it's a bad idea to make people pay to post, it would keep away anyone who doesn't use it (yet?).
2017  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Coinabul owe me 81btc on: April 25, 2013, 08:01:10 AM
It reeks of SCAM to me.

With reference to BadBear's passage about not wanting to hand out the scammer tag because its like "pushing over a cliff after tripping on a rock" I don't think that tis is right:

If I set up an eBay business where I take orders and legitmately deliver 80% of them, to maintain my rating, just enough so that people trust me, but are purposefully (read: knowledgebly) not sending out other orders, this is a prime SCAM.

Just my 2 mBTC

That is one possible scenario, and of that were the case I'd be inclined to agree with you. Hard to prove something like that though.
2018  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Just lost 6.4 bitcoins or 663 euros from MT.gox STOLEN on: April 23, 2013, 06:51:45 AM
2FA, is this hard?

What is the way to do 2FA at mt.gox ? I use this at blockchain.info but cannot see any 2FA via email at gox other than yubikey

yubikey is 2FA, isn't it?

Well, its a hassle and not free. Blockchain 2FA is much better.

Getting robbed and trying to recover it is even more of a hassle.
2019  Other / Off-topic / Re: z on: April 23, 2013, 06:47:26 AM
Looks to me that a mod felt that publishing a list of the wealthiest addresses was "class warfare".  Certainly hope he's continues investigating the block-chain, knowing the macro-structure of the block-chain can only be useful for genuine supporters of the crypto-currency concept.

Or maybe a mod got tired of seeing his address pop up over and over.

2020  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Error sending PMs ("You are not allowed to send personal messages.") on: April 22, 2013, 08:49:58 PM
Is this still correct?

Yes, and yes.
