2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 08, 2022, 09:54:11 AM
I just saw the highlights and it looked like a great match. I planned to watch but it was during the night here - so I managed to catch only a few last games when I woke up.

Alcaraz looks most likely to win it now - if he did, he'd claim the 10th spot in the 'youngest GS winners' list. Since Sampras in 1990, only Nadal won it younger than Alcaraz will be if he wins.
He'll be the youngest no. 1 ever though - with both Hewitt and Safin being over 20 when they reached no. 1.

Both would be terrific achievements and would be well deserved.
We have been waiting for who is going to replace the big 3 and it seems that we have found the answer in Alcaraz. And his game doesn't have any flaws right now, Sinner has the chance to win this game but Alcaraz save the break point and won it. And then he put a lot of pressure on Sinner, in which he wasn't able to respond. And I guess whoever wins the Alcaraz vs. Tiafoe will most likely raise the trophy this year.
2022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To all 100x hunters out there on: September 07, 2022, 12:31:46 PM
75% of crypto investors don't understand that projects like Solana, Cardano, Doge, SAND, XRP, Avalanche did a 100x in this recently past bull run and it will never happen again, not even 20x I believe, those who have been in crypto space since 2017 will understand what im talking about, every four years a new adjustment is always made to Top 20 lists on Coinmarketcap, new breeds will take over.

Get rid of the old stuffs and hunt for the next 100x, not a financial advice but DYOR.
Thanks for the reminder, I was on the boat on ADA in 2018 bear market and I will say that it really did bring a good returns of profit to me.

And so they are very cheap again and the rest of crypto that have been mentioned here, and so they are still solid and legit as they are in the top 20 as per cmc, a good indication that they will be massive growth in the next bull run in 2024-2025. So don't missed your chance to accumulate in this bear market.
2023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: RUIZ VS ORTIZ SUN, SEP 04, 2022 10PM ET EASTERN TIME/ on: September 07, 2022, 11:56:22 AM
I was wrong I thought it will not go the distance both fighters are powerful punchers but yet they both have a granite chin, I admire Kingkong for getting up every time he goes down he is still strong and can take the fight to the limit, at 43 and with many fresh faces coming in the heavyweight division his chances to be world champion is slim with this recent loss, he also says that he will still continue to fight maybe until he gets busted, the mind is the last to give up even though the body is still can and that what categorize Kingkong Ortiz.

That was an entertaining fight, I like the exchanges, it does not make us boring. Also, I'm impressed with the stamina of Ortiz, he got knocked down many times but he always stand up to continue fighting. Now, we have a title eliminator, hopefully Ruiz will be given a chance to fight for a championship fight again. I like how he maintain his body, he looks strong at that body as that's his normal.
Ruiz will surely have that chance mate because with this win(though of course he is in advantage) yet he shows how strong and tough being fighter he is.
though there is a long line for championship  but His name would be one of the boxer that will be on list.
Congratulation for the win though.

This is a WBC title eliminator but there's an ongoing negotiation between Fury and Joshua and the WBC is agreeing for this fight to underway even giving a special designation to Joshua so the fight will push through if the fight failed to materialize then Ruiz will get into the picture but for now, the boxing community wants the Joshua - Fury to push through because it was schedule years ago but failed to mateialize.
Yes and I think Ruiz will not have a problem with that, just stepping aside and wait for the Fury (WBC champion) to fight AJ in UK for all British showdown. And so he will have months to take a rest and heal this body, prepare his mind on whoever win that fight, he will have a crack at him later, so win-win for Ruiz. And he still has the power to knockout everyone is the heavyweight division so that will be a problem for his opponents.

Do you all think that Ruiz deserves a set-aside fee for getting out of the picture and letting the Fury - Joshua go on, this is a WBC title eliminator he deserves to be the next in line for the title, but knowing gRuiz he is not the kind of who imposes his right but let's see in the coming weeks if the Joshua - Fury will materialize which we all want to happen, but it case it did not Ruiz deserves to be the next challenger, since he won a title eliminator and he wins very impressive.
It's beyond his control as of now, if the WBC says that he will need to step aside and let Fury defend it against Usyk or Joshua for a bigger pay for Tyson and the organization then he will step-aside maybe for some monetary rewards. So let's see, with the sort of boxing politics we have right, those who won the eliminators can still not get the first crack from the champion. So I wouldn't be surprised if Fury vs Ruiz will not be made yet.
2024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [NEWS] Gambler Charged with Murder after Letting Kids Die on: September 07, 2022, 11:38:51 AM
The heartbreaking tragedy, careless act and negligence of the mother quoted in the article cannot be justified. cases like this are very rare, usually cases of similar negligence occur in a shopping or supermarket when the mother leaves her child in the car to shop or buy something.
Still the same though, this is criminal negligence, manslaughter case against the mother.

Unfortunately, this case is linked to a casino which in fact adds to the long list of bad stigmas from gambling, despite the fact that this case is purely the carelessness and negligence of the mother. to be honest this is a rare case, but this case can be a lesson for all parents out there or in our community so that things like that don't happen.
You can look it that way, or it's that the mother can't control of herself because of her addiction. So I don't think this is a rare case though, gambling addiction when it hits someone can do things that not a normal person will do, like stealing and hiding it from their families and in worst cases, like this one.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 07, 2022, 10:58:59 AM
I’m not sure I like the Hornets signing Montrez Harrell. I feel like he got his bag when he left the Clippers and hasn’t been the same since. I don’t suspect any team that signs him is going to get their money’s worth. I don’t think he’s a good pairing with their young run and gun squad either. I guess we’ll see how it goes, but I feel like it won’t go well.
Signing with the Hornets or the Sixers? It's the latter that I'm reading.

It's $5.2 Million for two years with a player option for a 28-year-old center. I don't think that's a bad deal for any team since he can still be useful in player rotations. The Sixers probably thinks he could give Embiid more minutes to rest while he's on the floor. Maybe they're hoping a double-double or close to it for 20 minutes?
I think that's good enough money for Harrell. When the Clippers let go of him, he said that they made a big mistake. But now it seems that LA has made the right decision because when he move to the Lakers, he didn't have any impact and then he was traded to Washington and now moving to a new team. Hopefully he can land his spot on the Sixers and maybe he can call it a home for the next 2 seasons.
2026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 07, 2022, 10:41:11 AM
Needless to say, everyone is predicting that this is going to be a match that will be won by Inoue.

100%, or if not maybe 95%.... Inoue is gonna win here, but if you will put a bet on him, don't expect an 50-50 bet, most likely your bet will only win less than 5%.
Let's say that there's the little percentage that Butler could win. The talks are that it will be like a lucky punch that will make him win this match.

Most of the upsets in boxing are made through lucky punches Grin Inoue is heavily favored to win, but that doesn't mean that Butler doesn't have a chance. There is always a chance and opportunity for underdogs like Butler to win. They just have to make things work and grab that little sliver of opportunity when it presents to them. Who knows, maybe Butler can knock out Inoue in one of those rounds and we will all be shocked in disbelief  Cheesy
A punch that Inoue is not expecting, and that is the punch that usually hurts and could end this fight. However, we haven't seen Inoue letting his guard down. Even in the first fight against Donaire that put Inoue at bay because he has suffered a broken orbital bone, it's not enough for him to go down or quit. So it will be a combination of everything before Butler can upset Inoue.

A lucky punch is indeed the right term and what Butler needs to win this fight but based on chances, we can assume and predict that Inoue will dominate Butler in almost all rounds or even knock him out much earlier just like what Inoue did to Donaire recently. Though, we can say that Butler won't take that step because he knows that he will just end up laying down in the canvass.
2027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix banned Bitcoin, Human Rights Foundation Donates. on: September 07, 2022, 10:26:40 AM
They cannot ban bitcoin period. What you are saying is not real and people might misunderstand you because of your title. Better change it right away and next time you need to learn to take your time to read before posting. Because things like this might create doubt and confusion among the newbies. Anyway, the news of the Indonesian government announcing to the public that there has been a growth in their economy since the establishment of crypto exchanges is great news for all, and hope they gonna increase their growth in the future as well.
I guess it's the ad on bitcoin that they are banning. However, it seems that they are really late because bitcoin is growing by the numbers and never be affected by this so called bans from any companies, much more to social media giants like Facebook. Sooner or later they will realized that they made a big mistakes and maybe make a U-turn in the future and allow it.
2028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDC, USDP & TUSD will be removed on Binance exchange on: September 06, 2022, 01:29:40 PM
They have their own stable coins and then Tether, I think it's enough for us to make use of it and not to have so many stable coins, which might be in the end turn out to be another Terra Luna.

So we know where Binance is coming from, maybe besides that this is competition, but in the end they have to protect the interest of their users and obviously their own stable coins from such competitions.
2029  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for September on: September 06, 2022, 12:24:51 PM
I don't see the price hitting to $25k though, but at the same time, $15k is overboard for me. So I would say that we maybe somewhere in between, $20k will be a good estimates. I don't see lowest low as I believed that we already hit it at $17,500. If we are going to see the floor price in this bear market, it might be next year 2023. At the same time $25k was the highest we achieved last August but it was not sustainable. And historically, September is not a good month so $20k-$21k is my best guess.

2031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Heavyweight Battle of Britain - FURY vs JOSHUA on: September 06, 2022, 11:38:45 AM
I voted for Tyson Fury to win, maybe he will score a knock out over Joshua here. Seems Anthony is very desperate right now so I wouldn't be surprised that after Fury smashes him and floored him worst that he did to Wilder, AJ might call it quits. Hard to see how can he overcome the technical skills of Tyson. He had problems with Usyk, so this could be worst for him, I reckon.
2032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 06, 2022, 11:11:58 AM
Exactly, we know that Money Mayweather wouldn't turn down such fights that will give him guaranteed big money in just several minutes of fighting in the ring along with the amateur boxers in Japan, and of course, his win is also guaranteed on top of that Grin even if he will say again that he will put his professional record on the line.

I got an impression that Floyd Mayweather is a businessman first, a boxer second.  He always make sure that he has the better share of the pie, that he will win the fight, and that the referee will always be on his side, he has money to buy them all. Investment at its best!!! Grin
I think he has evolved as a boxer, specially when he become professional and saw the huge potential of making money for himself. And I guess his father and uncle has really a big influence on his life as a boxer and money making machine. So then become a business savvy, not just inside the ring by being the A-side and of course getting the biggest share and maybe also outside, by investing his money in Las Vegas and somewhere else.
2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 06, 2022, 10:52:56 AM
Better not to assume for him to come back this upcoming season, forcing him to play might harm his injury
and instead of bringing quality years to the league the chance for him to get a much more serious injury, or it might complicate
him moving comfortably while playing.
Enough rest and proper conditioning, he still young and with updated medical treatment with his injury for sure he can
recover and be back with a better preparation for the upcoming next season.

I don't think they will gonna force him to play this season except when he is 100% clear to play. Because OKC seems not the type of team where they rush to get to the top quickly, they taking slow steps but so far so good. right now instead of getting some star players to your team who will gonna ask for a trade-out after some failed seasons, it's better to put your gamble on these young stars because who knows maybe some of them becomes key players to give the team a huge boost in the future.
Yes, I do agree that OKC wouldn't force their young player to play right after that horrendous injury. So he might have to sit the rest of the season and watch from the sideline. He is still very young so I think he had heal that fast but not enough to make it this season.

They have gamble already and this seems to be the price they will get. Unfortunately, this kind of injuries are inevitable, so maybe just another year of wait wouldn't hurt their team.
2034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Merge - Vitalik memes and lots of expectation on: September 02, 2022, 10:13:55 AM
This is the viral meme regarding Vitalik right now. I don't know if it's appropriate to post it here (if not I will delete it in a few hours), but I just shared it.

I just had a good laugh on the Vitalik meme, Lol.

I don't have that much ETH to be honest, so I will be on the fence on this one. Of course I know that there will be a big event, but I'm not going to get involved myself. If I can get airdrop because of the fork then so be it, if not then I'm cool.

So yeah, probably I would say that I don't care about the upcoming event, nor will be interested to see if others will make money riding on the hype or not.
2035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: September 02, 2022, 09:47:42 AM
Ramirez has a slight advantage in height, although it might be just the shoes that he is wearing.

Even if Ramirez is taller, I think Bivol can offset it with his hand speed and his great footwork.

For reference: Bivol @ 6 ft | Ramirez @ 6'2 ft

Not that much. I refer to some of Bivol's previous opponents and I saw he was once against a 6'3 ft and he won.

Although we can't compare the strengths of each of their previous opponents, we can conclude that height shouldn't be an advantage or disadvantage in this fight between Dmitry Bivol and Zurdo Ramirez. But on the humor side, possibly that Ramirez's shoes make him so much taller in that pic lol.
Yeah, but Ramirez seems to be the natural taller, and it looks like he can still go up one more weight class because his frame is too big for even a weight class of 175 lbs.

But if Bivol is used to fighting bigger and taller fighter, then it won't be a problem for him. He would know how to used his other tools like his speed and his fast hands. Like what he shows in the Canelo fight, his jab and his combinations really put Canelo off-balance and if he decided to fight back, Bivol will be ready for his counter.
2036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 02, 2022, 08:51:29 AM
Just get a separate phone, put a password on it, and then simply hide to places that your wife will not find it. And then play when she is out doing groceries or with her friends. Just a question on when you want to scratch that itch, gonna be tough. Either you go to the bathroom, turn the faucet on or just mute your phone and play like every 5-10 minutes. And hopefully she doesn't seems that something is odd on you going to the bathroom more often.  Grin

https://watcher.guru/news/bitcoin-casino-founders-slapped-with-a-400m-lawsuit?c=566

As a long time Stake user this makes me feel concerned, I'll be withdrawing all of my funds and going elsewhere!
It's gonna be interesting how things will turn out in this case. It seems that is is like "he said, she said" paradigm. Only the court and the evidences will tell who is lying and how is not and who is liable. But I doubt that the court is going to grant that $400 million. It might be even lower if he accuser will win this case.

How are you concern? if you are a investors, maybe, but for a player? as long as they can pay everything up front and for sure they have huge bankroll that can cover their players whether whales or small one.
2038  Economy / Speculation / Re: All Eyes On Bitcoin’s Monthly Close on: September 02, 2022, 07:45:23 AM
And it seems we close the month at $20,100? That price though is still uncertain, chances are we might go down again and hit another lower low? I started this year with a bearish perspective just like the majority of us.

So we have the last quarter to proved otherwise, but I highly doubt that we will go up again. Most likely this will be the price for this year around that numbers and worst case is that we will go lower that $17,500.
2039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 02, 2022, 06:40:43 AM
Jazz - Cavs trade came out of nowhere. It's just one of those instances where speculations in traditional and social media becomes just noise hehe.
Yes, surprised to see this trade, I thought that Mitchell will go to the Knicks but I guess the offer was not the same as what the Cavs are willing specially with the draft picks.

It may not be that ideal since Mitchell still has many years ahead of him but this also gives Jazz management a lot of wiggle room. They can still use those future draft picks as trading piece or maybe they plan to use it for themselves because they already have some prospects for the next three years. It would be nice if they could emulate what Warriors did.
For sure they will build around those future draft picks, but they will have to find those gems in the next lottery class that they can say they made the right choice to move out Donovan Mitchell. It boils down as to how the management will build their teams this time and hopefully the blue print is there, just like what the Warriors did.
2040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about the school lessons of gambling addiction? on: September 01, 2022, 10:24:31 AM
I live in a country where Gambling is officially banned, but it doesn't stop the online illegal casino to operate. Most of the people in here is quite conservative so the parent always teach their kids that Gambling is bad, and if some kids are caught gambling the parent will make an extreme measure to make sure the kid stop, like take their phone for couple of months and even beating them. Now, I am not saying that you should beat your kid because their gambling, but I think it's easier for parent to prevent their kids from gambling rather than forwarding those responsibilities to school.
Yes, same here where I live, gambling is illegal so anyone caught will be punish. But I don't think that it should be teach in school. It's already illegal so for sure kids now that they are not allow to gamble. And for those who are caught, for sure the parents are affected and they should disciple their kids and it's really up to them to teach them the bad effects of gambling and that they shouldn't deal with it. Yeah, perhaps the parents will do that kind of punishment like taking the phone and grounding them. But still nothing beats a lesson fomr the parent themselves.
