2041  Other / Meta / Re: [RELEASED] @mention notification bot - now with Telegram on: December 12, 2019, 09:29:49 PM
Piggy was last seen online 28th of October, this is like almost two months now. He was quite active before, I hope he is doing well.
Does anyone have any idea how Piggy is doing?
2042  Economy / Speculation / Re: Q4 -Quarter 4 speculation thread, where will 2019 end, join the LIST on: December 12, 2019, 02:01:31 PM
Even with 3-5 merit will filter a lot of low effort posters of course, the higher the requirement the better. This solves also the problem with the low activity and account farmers.
On the other side with a higher merit requirements many will complain that only Merit Cycling Clubs Members (according to someone who I won't name, no more drama nor walls of text are needed here) will be eligible to participate, so maybe we need to find the golden mean...
2043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Q4 -Quarter 4 speculation thread, where will 2019 end, join the LIST on: December 12, 2019, 01:10:13 PM
Also maybe is it better to exclude some new members or verily low activity/merit/account farmers and how to do or how to approach this matter?

Add a rule like the good Campaign managers do, something like 3 or 5 earned merit received in the last 120 days. This is very easy to follow, as the in merit history of an account you see only the merits sent/received the past 120 days.
So quick look at the profiles merit history can easily give you overview if you gonna accept or decline the application/entry Smiley

I see you have an extra "line break" after the address. Try to copy your message exactly as it is in the wallet.
Anyway the previous message was verified,so you are on the safe side Smiley

I managed to verify it with Mycellium. I'll try later with Electrum.

2046  Other / Meta / Re: [Log] Archives of actions in "Stake your Bitcoin address here" topic. on: December 08, 2019, 06:43:18 PM
If you move it to archival where will be posted the alerts then? I meant If someone change or remove an old staked address this is a serious action and a notification should be visible to everyone so people can take actions to prevent abuse.
Those cases are so rare that it won't be any problem the thread to remain in Mera.

Can we make a subscription like in every alert post to add for example @iasenko on the bottom of it if I want to be on duty to check those posts? Many people can "subscribe" to check them Smiley
2047  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Blockchain.com Error 502 its down ? on: December 06, 2019, 01:59:51 PM

It is not down for me,works fine but when using the above link it says it is down.
Don't trust those checking sites on 100%, better to check it yourself if you are sure what you do.

You didn't got the idea of the thread I guess. This is not attack against you, I just mentioned you as an example of how some feedback is left to other people. This is nothing to do with you personally.
I just though that if you are on DT and your feedback actually have some significance, you should make it readable for the rest of the users, no matter that you leave it only in your local sections, simple translation is enough, at least from my point of view.

2050  Other / New forum software / Re: A feature to fastly switch orders & contents of columns in table (Suggestion) on: December 05, 2019, 11:00:31 AM
This is not so much forum related as it is more related to the BBcode functionality. There are some more user-friendly external tools people have created to make a WYSIWYG BBCode editor.
I really don't like the editor here and I'm not the only one but I got used to it already.

There are some projects like https://wysibb.com/ (open at your own risk*) which can make your life easier but you have to relate to a 3rd party, so again it is questionable.

*-just found this project online but I never tried it so I cannot say how safe it to use it. Make your own research.

Note: You can get the last Epochtalk changes on the Official Bitcointalk Discord Server : https://discord.gg/PEkAkb
The last few weeks there is some activity in the development of the new forum software.
I get new email with updates almost every day. So I'll try to keep you guys updated.

Let me start from the last to the first (since I started following the project on github)

2052  Other / Meta / Trust feedback should be written in English. A must for DTs. on: December 04, 2019, 10:09:54 PM
I think this is important for the whole community and there are only benefits.
I also understand the struggle of some people when using English but when you leave to someone feedback it's to inform the rest of the members. At least a rule for those who are on DT, if you end up there you need to take the responsibilities as well.
Simple example of a DT feedback >

2054  Other / Meta / Re: Received 1 merit from Bitcoin Forum! on: December 02, 2019, 09:45:02 PM
You get 10 merits if your caption submission was in the top voted. 1 merit if you have voted at all, and 2 merits if its only in the 2nd table. I don't think you get multiples of 10 if you have multiple submissions within the top rated table.

Therefore, the highest amount you could have received is 11 merit from the caption voting contest thingy.

Stop shitposting, read the damn thread Grin
It's actually bewildering how many users don't actually read the discussion at all.

You read every comment which starts with Why, Why.. and you scroll down to find no answer and ofcours shitpost as well Tongue .. LoyceV put it on the bottom of his post without attracting much attention,
Thanks to suchmoon I read it twice.

IT should have been like this :

This answers your question:
Thanks to everyone who participated! If you voted in this event, you received 1 merit; if your caption appeared in the first table above, you also received 10, and if your caption appeared only in the second table above, you also received 2.

This should be enough to find it Smiley
2055  Other / Meta / Re: Received 1 merit from Bitcoin Forum! on: December 02, 2019, 09:31:44 PM
Same here .. 11 merit for Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored? I got two transactions, a single merit and 10 at a time.
BTW the same amount got from theymos for the art competition, once 1 and once 10 merit, I wonder if is somehow related.

@Theymos what did you messed up agian? /jk

BTW nothing in the stats as well: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=recent

Stop shitposting, read the damn thread Grin

This is way to invisible for those who read. The OP should hang it on the top with HUGE RED LETTERS! Wink

That's great, I would have merited you if I had merit left.
Anyway, you need just a bit over a dozen merit to rank up to Hero, I'm sure you'll reach this milestone quite quick.

Regarding your application, you have made some good threads for sure, but in the requirements of the application for a MS you need to list 10 recent posts of other users which have not received enough merit according your perception.

Well, legendster was quicker Wink

He's a much greater person than 99.9% of the people of this forum are, and something like that is not going to do too much damage to him. Wink

Danm, you are right about that. Now I got the strange feeling that you may know him a bit more than the other 99.9% of the people here... A six sense if you want to call it that way...

Anyway back to the topic, even with the cloud flare thing, his case is way different than the ICOEthics.
2060  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happen to ICOEthics? on: November 30, 2019, 07:36:16 PM
With nullius the things were a bit more different. At one point I thought it was theymos' alt which was just for fun account only to escape the high position he has and have a free chit-chat.
He ended up disappointed after the "love romance" he HD with alia before "she" was revealed as a previously well known scammer favours. So nullis ended up disappointed and just quit.
This is wrong, why are you writing stuff like that? nullius left because of spyflare aka Cloudflare a known NSA honeypot. Many users are refusing to join because of this reason.

Well, sorry if that the real reason, but I thought it was because of alia, they had a lof of fun together and after "she" was disclosed he looked disappointed, short after he just disspeard.
