It might be because we don't have consensus on the solution. Sounds as though everyone recognises there is a problem, but we have many different suggestions about how to resolve it. Some people think more rules are needed, others think more users need to be banned, some say lock the board completely, while others still think more moderators will help. Even I'm starting to wonder what would be the most effective fix.
Some of those options are offered as alternatives only because nothing is being done, e.g. lock the board if no one's gonna fix it, or clarify the rules if that's what's stopping mods from cleaning it up. I don't think there is much disagreement that the shitty copypasta needs to be removed, and deleting those posts and banning repeat offenders is the only real solution if we want the board to mean something. |

If there were Vegas odds on you taking the title, I think that would be the safest bet. Two words: Jonathan Taylor. If you're watching the topic you get e-mail notifications. The topic was locked three times and unlocked twice. I still don't think it means anything. It's Poker Player's thread, he was asked repeatedly to lock it, do we really need to tell him now to lock it only after everyone gets their last word in... sounds a bit too much. |

The two division leaders in a close one, Lamar and Chubb for Moon Coiners vs. Ravens D/ST + Tucker for Interwebz wheelz with 20+ pts lead, this is ought to be a good one. I'm rooting for the Coiners to win so that first place in the East remains up for grabs.
I don't know if it's really as close as ESPN makes it look like. I need to make up 23 points, so assuming ~20 between Tucker and Ravens D/ST, I'd need 40+ from Lamar and Chubb... not impossible but Kareem is back (probably meaning fewer yards for Chubb) and Garrett is in top shape (probably gonna sack Lamar a few more times before this is over). I'm gonna need a lot of luck here, might be none left after last week LOL. |

I think he's a big boy and can easily post or PM a couple of sentences himself instead of leaving everyone guessing and speculating. Until that happens, Occam's razor says that no one cares. Mods don't care to clean it up, admins don't care to make any changes (hire/replace mods, restructure boards, etc) to make it easier to clean it up, and users don't care to report posts because it's a pointless waste of time. This isn't the first time this has been brought up or the only board with issues. The whole idea of Bitcoin Discussion being one of the shittiest boards on the Bitcoin forum should be a matter of grave concern for... someone, but apparently it isn't. |

We had established like 2000 pages ago that PNGs are not "crypto". I'm fine with SEC keeping its paws away from the real stuff like bitcoins, but they should be able to put scammers like Homero or that Bitconnect douche in prison.
