2081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privilege to teach Bitcoin in church on: October 04, 2022, 05:14:43 AM
It was been looking good that there is a growing interest in the community. Well, teaching these people is not hard knowing that they will certainly listen and their minds are wide open to understand how this works. It simply won't be done easily, probably not in a single day but I was sure these people who see the potential of Bitcoin will get what it deserves them. As the discussion continue, they find out that those who say it was scam or ponzi are wrong.
Those who initially said it was a scam and ponzi of course they didn't know what bitcoin was and how bitcoin worked because they didn't get any education about bitcoin. When there is a moment like this, where the young people around give some important education about bitcoin, their minds will open and understand how bitcoin works. This makes them more interested in learning about bitcoin and the technology behind it. this is the first step for them to be more advanced and not left behind by the others.

It's not a scam, but it can be debated that it started as a "Naturally-Occurring Ponzi" because most of its value is market-driven, but not a "Ponzi" as in there's a centralized entity to "scam" you. Bitcoin is just like Gold. It started to be HODLed, and valued, with a market behind it causing its price to surge, and to sell it higher, someone must enter the system with new money. THEN an economy was built around it through the first dark markets, giving it a "circular economy" and real world value. That's when it stopped being a "Ponzi" in my opinion.
2082  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I need help on Option Trading on: October 04, 2022, 05:02:12 AM
Nobody really, except maybe a small number of institutions really trade Bitcoin options. They are popular for stocks but in forex or crypto nobody trades them. The liquidity is also bad.

Most just trade the futures or the perps. It gives you lots of leverage and has great liquidity. You should focus on this. Options are usually priced against you and you need to get the direction and time correct to make a profit, very difficult to do.

I believe it's not just the institutions anymore. Plebs like us, perhaps absolutely no one uses it except for the purposes of gambling/trying options, but there might currently be more whales during this cycle that use a more advanced strategy that utilizes options for hedging their long or short positions than the last cycle.

It's probably good to learn about options to understand its effect on the market when their expiries are coming.
2083  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I need help on Option Trading on: October 03, 2022, 11:25:17 AM
Just like traditional trading, futures trading has been a very good innovation in the crypto space, yet I still feel incomplete without trading Bitcoin with Option. I was happy to see the Option trading feature with Binance, which is my only exchange, but they offer a different kind of Option trading from the traditional one I know. Their style of offering is designed to make one lose as your winning is not guaranteed even if the difference between the striking price and the price at expiration is in your favour.

Debatable. Futures, and other derivatives, trading has also contributed to more volatility in Bitcoin, and other markets in crypto.

Quote

Take, for example, I bought the (Call) option on BTC at 18634.35 on Friday for an expiration of 1 hour. Could you believe that the price of the market was at 18855.87 at the expiry time, but Binance still concluded that I lost the bet? This is not a mistake because such a situation has happened to me more than 5 times with the same exchange.

I don't know how Binance calculates their options trading and I don't care again. Is there any exchange you can suggest to me that gives winning like the traditional Option trading where the slightest point counts?

Let's make it clear, you bought a call option on Bitcoin, with an expiry of one hour, and with a strike price of $18,634.35? Or did you buy the call option when Bitcoin was priced at $18,634.35? Because if it's the second one, then what would the strike price be? Plus posting your screenshots would be very helpful.
2084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privilege to teach Bitcoin in church on: October 03, 2022, 11:10:48 AM
That's a good idea if your purpose is to educate them, we've seen many churches now accepting Bitcoin as a donation and it might be good if they even know basic technical knowledge about Bitcoin and how it'll work.  It's also awareness to them, you can give them as an example that there's a church now accepting Bitcoin as a financial donation or transaction and it might your church will do the same.

I didn't see any wrong if you'll discuss this in your church, Bitcoin is not a curse to be feared, yet, it's an advantageous technology that can be useful to anyone.

I might sound like a Greedy Pleb, but as a HODLer, and as an investor, I would discourage my fellow plebs from giving away their hard earned Bitcoins. I'm not saying "say NO" to charity, but unless you earned the Bitcoin you're going to donate in Bitcoins, don't donate them.

Personally, the only reasons you should use your Bitcoins is if you require censorship-resistance, like if gambling is illegal in your region, and there are no other ways to deposit in a casino, then you can use Bitcoin.

BUT good on OP for educating more people about Bitcoin. May it start their journey.
2085  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Russia Emerge As The Next Dominant Superpower on: October 03, 2022, 09:35:09 AM
Hahaha! That's a funny quote. But I'm only speaking out of what I've read from history books. Perhaps in times of peace, being of friend of the the United Stares is fatal, but in times of war, it's a friend that you truly need. Those countries have always helped each other during times of war, and I don't believe that will change.

That's even more true in times of war. Take World War 2 for example, the Americans didn't even get involved in it for the first 3 years, and only came in until the Axis showed both capability and will to attack US mainland.

Even during these days where 3 wars are going on (energy, food and the armed conflict in Ukraine) US is seeking its own benefits and is using EU (the "friends") instead of helping them. They sometimes even use them as cannon fodder like Australia and Taiwan against China, South Korean against North Korea, etc.

It's probably because the United States of America was also worried about another "Empire" from the East, Japan, which was also having its own expansion of its war in Asia which also included China. We can't point fingers why they were late  in entering World War II, but the probability is high that the war would have taken longer than 6 or 7 years without the Americans. Or it might also have given the Axis Forces a better probability to win.

What's the highest multiplier for Dig Dig Digger? I was lucky to have three Digs that gave me ten auto-spins, and during the auto-spin, I had a further three Digs which gave me another 10 rounds of auto-spins. After it ended, I had a "Mega Jackpot" that had a multiplier of I believe more than x100. It was worth just $10.00, but it was from a free spin.

Plus the chatbox is currently growing! It's hard to to talk to each other. It's probably the right time to introduce "channels" in the chat? Cool

AFAIK, The highest multiplier was above x5000 if you complete 5 digger head tiles or 5 scatter. There's no indicated maximum multiplier since the slot just mention more than x2500 as profit possibility and no info on max profit.

IIRC, 100$ is the maximum possible profit on free spin based on previous rule of Sujon to earlier free spin event of Blackjack .fun. I just don't know if they remove already the max win cap on the current free spin event. 10$ is already huge and I think that's around x300+ profit already. You should took the screenshot and post it on Blackjack.fun free spin event on game and rounds board.

I should have, but I did care enough for the win to take screenshot during that time. Would you believe, I was driving in my car during lunch break when it happened? Haha.

...

Plus the chatbox is currently growing! It's hard to to talk to each other. It's probably the right time to introduce "channels" in the chat? Cool

Yeah this could be an interesting idea because people are focused just on some arguments.
But lets see, maybe admins are already evaluating with the newer version Wink

I believe channels will be needed if the BlackJack.fun community. Everyone simply can't speak in one channel at the same time, talking about more than five topics. It wille very confusing.

Perhaps it's also good for participation within BJF's community to make some of the chatbox regulars into channel-mods.

Very huge amount mate, 63.70BTC wagering is not a joke and I must join you in congratulating him this time, he broke the record she'd of other high hourly wagerers on blackjack fun.

This is indeed a commendable level @Gennady12 have achieved this time and hoping to see others passing this records soon.
It is definitely an unreal amount, I really think that people should be looking at this like its worth something and not just "another gambler gambling" because it is not only a show for the whale that wagered, but for blackjack.fun as well. If they started to attract people who would gamble this much, it is an indication that they are doing something right, otherwise they couldn't get these whales.

And that does relay something to us as well, we were the ones who gambled here and made it a bigger place enough to attract these whales as well, and if they keep on wagering this much and if they lose money that means more funding for blackjack.fun to get bigger with that new funding as well.

Actually, I was surprised about the increase of wagering volume of Gennady since RW and other original whale started to become less active. Blackjack.fun whales now are new players except for Gennady that always competing on top spot before but he is not wagering this much way back then. Gennady luck really motivates him to improve his wagering volume and I hope he will continue this.

I read on the chat before about the discussion of bringing back the weekly reward. Is there any news if this is finalized?

Gennady increased wagering volume, but most of the time it's not enough to compete vs. Real Winner, God, Mr. BrightSide, and the old Private User in the weekly, and daily competitions. But the in hourly competitions, he has my vote sometimes.

2088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino games plebs like us must play on: October 01, 2022, 09:07:48 AM
If you're going to create a topic like this please move it to the gambling discussion board. It really doesn't belong in the gambling section as is. You really need to add more to the discussion vs just a generic explanation without really focusing on any rules. You're leading gamblers down a bad path being so vague.

You're right, I'm sorry, but I was merely making a viewpoint that it might be better for the plebs like us to play just the casino games with the lower house edge, than to play games that might definitely end them in a bad path. I'm adding more information to the OP, and I will continue to edit and add again.

I also removed Roulette from the OP, the house edge is more than 2% from the information I saw.

If anyone has more casino games to add with low house edge, post them.

Casino games should be used very carefully because it's really easy lost money on it...

I'll try to play just if there is some bonus or some wagering competition, unless I am playing just for the pleasure to play nothing more Sad I never expect to win and unfortunately this should the right approach because in the long term I can just loss Sad

House edge, a lower house edge is something helpful for the player, but it's a mathematical explanation that in the long term I can only loss money Sad

Good advice! That's why, IF YOU, or SOMEONE, wants to gamble in a casino, which games should they choose? The casinos games with lower house edge. Cool

Am a casino pleb myself, but I disagree with your advice about playing games only with the lowest house edge. Why? Because house edge isn't everything. Some of my biggest wins were from games with high house edge.

Games which I usually play are slots, Baccarat, sports betting etc where the house edge varies between them to a large degree. Fun > House edge in my opinion.

Lower house edge = lesser percentage of loss relative to your capital. It's just an advice, but if you want to play any casino game with higher house edge for fun, no one can stop you.
2089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Casino games plebs like us must play on: September 30, 2022, 10:50:32 AM
We're merely plebs, many of us. Although there are also casino whales in the forum, I believe it's the best advice for everyone, especially plebs, to play only the casino games with the lowest house edge available. BlackJack and Craps.

I tried both of them, and my favorite is Craps. For a beginner, just bet on 6 and 8, then if the dice roll is a 7, you lose, if it's 6 or 8 you win. There are other betting strategies to use to increase your bets called "press and collect", but that's for another topic. Cool

The reasoning on why "just place on 6 and 8" is the lower house edge = 1.52%, definitely lower if compared to playing your favorite slot machines.

Plus there are bets with lower house edge in craps, like Pass Line/Come Bet = 1.41%, Don’t Pass/Come = 1.40%.

Pass Line/Come Bets = You win if the dice roll 7 or 11, lose if it's 2, 3, or 12.

Don't Pass/Don't Come Bets = You win if the dice roll 2, 3, 12, lose if it's 7 or 11.

But there's more in the game when it's any roll that's not a 2, 3, 7, 11 or 12.

This is a short introduction about the basics of Craps, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNsSpNm_iCw

This is a longer version about the basics of Craps, and how to play Craps, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6i5SkIn2VY

Although, a warning. The house edge may be low, BUT there's still a house edge! Managing your capital is MORE IMPORTANT than the favorite game to play.

Quote

Jay Bean, a Caesar's floor manager, agreed to sit down with us and talk about the games with the best odds.

He said many people don't realize that table games have much better odds than slots. They are intimidated by thoughts of card sharks taking their money, with images of an intense Texas Hold 'Em tournament in their minds, and so they stick with the safe games: the slots.

But they are doing themselves a disservice, he said.

Bean's advice?

1. Blackjack

Blackjack has the best odds of winning, with a house edge of just 1 percent in most casinos, Bean said.

Plus, you are playing against only the dealer, not hooded poker champions.

"Blackjack is one of our easiest games to play," Bean said. "You're just looking for a number that beats the dealer's number without going over 21."

If you're a novice, Bean said to sit down during a less busy time, such as the afternoon, and the dealer will walk you through the game.

But the same is not true with poker: You should practice the game with your friends first, at home, Bean said, until you are comfortable with it. Bean said novices are best off passing on the poker tables, where yes, the competition can be tough.

2. Craps

So from the Blackjack table, he suggests moving on to the dice game Craps, the game with the second best odds, also nearly 50-50.

The Craps table can be a bit intimidating for the beginner with all the boxes on the table, Bean admitted. But it's really not tough, and it has one of your best chances of winning. In the end, all you are really doing is betting on a dice roll.

Real most rewarding Crypto Casino?

I'm going to be honest. I'm not much of a gambler, and I have never visited/logged in an online casino regularly before I joined BlackJack.fun's signature campaign. But with BlackJack.fun, yet after the campaign, it's building a gambling service centered towards its users, and expanding the casino for its users to be more of a community. The loyalty rewards are not very large, and it's not the reason I come back, although it's good to have free spins, BUT the fact that you know there's someone in the chatbox that you already know makes you return everyday to say hello.

The secret might not be for casinos to give the most rewards. The secret might be building a community, and where everyone can be friends.

Do you, or the Russian people in general, consider China to be a "good ally", or is China a "dangerous ally"?
China (and Russia for that matter) is a bad ally. It's just that for the past couple of years such alliances are based on "enemy of my enemy is my friend" kind of situation. Besides, these alliances (unlike the alliances in the west) are based on mutual benefits not unilateral ones.

Because for Great Britain, they know that the United States is their "good ally"/almost brothers as history illustrates
These days things like this remind me of a famous quote from Kissinger:
"To be an enemy of America can be dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal."

Will he make our votes for Daily and Weekly wagering competition more predictable? Voting for a winner has also become an unpredictable game. Cool

Although, Real Winner said he's just merely observing, and he will return and play probably next week.

He is a new player. There’s already 3 user with atomic in there username. MrBrightside usually take over the spot of RW as king of the tournament but I’m surprised that AtomicSlot takeover MrB on the daily winner.

I didn’t notice it until you mention it here. I was having a very lucky day on free spin because I get yesterday and today a x150+ profit back to back and manage to grow it on BJ to 1mbtc+. There’s another free roll worth 2mbtc tonight. Make sure to join there.

There's also a "Private User" who has the same icon as MrBrightside. It's probably him/her who changed his account username to private.

Does anyone still join the chat? Gennady12 has been giving away Bitcoins in the chatbox. It's just a small amount per user, but it's still very appreciated by us very small gamblers. Plus the free spins have been more this week. Cool
2093  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Russia Emerge As The Next Dominant Superpower on: September 29, 2022, 12:15:07 PM
That's how Russia might lose in my opinion. Plus if an open conflict/war starts across Europe, Russia will have problems getting advanced parts for their miltiary equipment, as I have already posted. Will China help them, and risk sanctions too? We will never know, but knowing China, it will just watch the battle between two great armies and wait for their own opportunity after their exhaustion.
I mean that most of the mobilized people prefer to buy themselves a couple of sets of thermal underwear, earplugs and diarrhea pills, as well as comfortable winter shoes, not relying too much on regular army uniforms. Of course, each motorized rifleman will be given a helmet, bulletproof vest and a Kalashnikov assault rifle, as well as the statutory camouflage uniform and shoes. But there are things that make staying in the field more comfortable, and each mobilized person usually takes care of this himself, if it is important for him. Someone even takes tactical glasses, active headphones, a thermal imager and a quadcopter with them, but these are already the most stubborn survivalists. On average, the minimum set of uniforms costs each mobilized 500-1000 dollars.

OK, I understand.

I'm curious about something, and this was posted/asked in the forum by someone before. Do you, or the Russian people in general, consider China to be a "good ally", or is China a "dangerous ally"? Because for Great Britain, they know that the United States is their "good ally"/almost brothers as history illustrates, they fought together during World War I and World War II. I believe their alliance won't change if there's World War III.

Listen to their good point. Ignore the rest.

No need to debate someone's unreasonable opinions when they don't seem to matter and won't ever change.

For be.open, and all the people who are currently living inside Russia.

Is the protests against the Russian government's decision for mobilisation true? Is it growing in support? Or is it merely another form of propaganda for the people outside of Russia to believe that something "important" is actually happening?

I can see just one person in the picture, with any protests in the background. Plus she looks "too beautiful" with make up?

There are no mass protests in my small town in the Urals. Every day a new bus leaves the city with mobilized 10-15 people. Based on the dynamics of mobilization, I can assume that much more will be mobilized than the 300 thousand people announced by Putin.

What about in the big cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg, and what about in the news, and what's mood of the news? Plus I will not ask what's your personal opinion about the mobilisation, but what are your neighbors' or your friends' opinions on the mobilisation? Are they in a "patriotic mood" and support the possbility of an expansion of the war, or are they cycnical and in doubt?

OR, if majority of the people are in protest, will it matter?
Two of my friend's acquaintances emigrated after the announcement of mobilization - one to Georgia, the other to Kazakhstan. I think this is the only reasonable protest option for the people of Russia, voting with their feet.

Basically, the protests are not against the fact of mobilization, but against the mess in its implementation, which is also enough. By the way, these protests are quite effective, if it turns out that the mobilized is more useful in the rear, they leave him alone. The mobilized themselves, I think, are not happy. Adults are pulled out of normal life and sent to the war zone, where they may have to spend the winter in the field. Basically, people buy themselves a first-aid kit and warm clothes, not really relying on army supplies.

That's how Russia might lose in my opinion. Plus if an open conflict/war starts across Europe, Russia will have problems getting advanced parts for their miltiary equipment, as I have already posted. It's very obvious that BlackJack.fun is building something very special from within its casino, with its focal-point more on building a community of users, than promoting and tempting users to gamble more. I don't play Craps everyday, but I'm always logging in the site everyday to vote, check the chat saying "hello"/looking for Real Winner, and play Dig Dig Digger if I have some free spins.

I believe there are no other casinos that's doing what BlackJack.fun is doing. It might be something other casinos can learn from in my opinion.

Obviously when such massive number of people are being mobilized (reports range from 300,000 to 1,000,000 reserve soldiers being called up), there will be widespread protests. But they are not at a level where the authorities will be concerned. In general, it looks as if a majority of those who are called up are reporting to the enlistment centers. And this is the reason why the Russian government is not making any attempts to stop people from fleeing across the border to Kazakhstan, Georgia, Finland and Turkey.

Are you from, or living in Russia? I truly want to know how "widespread" the protests against the mobilisation are, and if there's truly an anti-war "feeling" among ordinary people and plebs like you and me. It's also important to know if it's growing, or if it's just propaganda spreading in the internet.
