2101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 10, 2022, 11:28:28 AM
Right, and just imagine him wanted to go as high as Cruiserweight and fight the champion at a catchweight and then Sulaiman readily agreed on it (because it's Canelo Alvarez). But then he settled on Light Heavyweight on Bivol. He could have taken Beterviev, but maybe he thinks that Bivol is the easier of the two, it really backfired on him. So he goes back to 168 lbs now and accepted the long overdue trilogy with GGG to bring his hype back.

Is this a joke? Canelo moving up to Cruiserweight? He already moved from 168 lbs to 175 lbs, to take on Bivol. But Cruiserweight is fucking 200 lbs (please correct me if I am wrong). That is going to be huge. Can anyone move from 175 lbs to 200 lbs in such short time? Even if he manages to do that, I am sure that boxers such as Arsen Goulamirian or Ilunga Makabu will smash him to pulp and thereby end his career. I don't know who is giving him all these crazy ideas. 168-175 lbs is fine for him. He should stay there.

This is probably the result of their thinking that since Canelo is already the king in 160-168 lbs, he needs to go higher and look for another kingdom to conquer. Well that's a normal way of thinking but they should have known better. This is proven by his match against Bivol. I think time's up for him to try going up against a strong opponent in 168-175. He could play in that division but only against smaller, weaker, and aging opponents. Cruiserweight shouldn't even be an option.
He wanted to chase more belts, becoming the first Mexican to have a belt in 5 different weight classes. And his first move to have that kind of feat is to as high Cruiserweight. And maybe they think that  Ilunga Makabu is slow and easy meat for Canelo. But then they change their mind shot for a Bivol Light heavyweight fight for Bivol's belt but failed. But I do agree that perhaps above 168 lbs, Canelo might have a problem, although he shown it already when he fought Kovalev, he won, but it Kovalev was way past his prime already.
2102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: August 10, 2022, 09:57:57 AM
CPI print, or Consumer Price Index, will be announced later! If it shows that inflation has finally peaked and has started to decrease/slow down, then I believe it's probably YOUR opportunity to buy EVERY DIP, and HODL. There might be actual fudsters in the forum who truly want that Bitcoin will crash more below $20,000 again, but perhaps they just missed their golden opportunity. There might be some DIPs to $21,000 though.
And it's really taking some steam out of our current increased, as it went to $22k below, although it's fighting $23k as of the moment. Well I guess if these fudsters will be effective, then we might as well ride with then, hope that the price will go down below $20k so that we can buy in this dip.

So we will see how it will goes, if the Consumer Price Index announcement will have a massive effect on the price or will crypto market will just slept on it.
2103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 10, 2022, 08:53:33 AM
Last weekend Vergil Ortiz Jr. once again dominated and knocked out another opponent. His resume is very scary at a 19-0-19 record and with solid performances over tough former world champions and top contenders. When will this kid get a title shot? I followed him and Teofimo Lopez when they started their careers and I used to think that one day they will be fighting each other. Now Vergil is a welterweight and is yet to become champion while Teofimo already became a lineal and unified champ at lightweight and is now seeking his second division title. These 2 young stars have opposite personalities in boxing though as Teofimo is loud and arrogant while Vergil is humble and always smiling.
I'm surprised he's on welterweight division, it's a same division with Crawford and Spence, but this boxer never want to challenge a world champion. He's not really cherry pick his opponent since his opponent also have a good record, I think he's more focus about his record rather than making his name bigger by getting a belt. It's the first time I hear his name, maybe he wanted to get the belt when Crawford vs Spence have happened, so he will likely join the vacant belt.
But his last fight, a comeback fight was a cherry pick right? he fight someone who doesn't have good KO record, but he gave Vergil everything he had, but unfortunately, his corner throw in the towel. Not sure if he is injured or something or the body shot really took the toll on him. Nevertheless, Golden Boy really needs to step the plate for their fighter and give them championship fight to see how good Vergil is or just another hype fighter.
2104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH could take over. on: August 10, 2022, 08:20:56 AM
So sorry, but there wil be no decoupling that is going to happen with Bitcoin and Ethereum. All the altcoin are moving in synch with Bitcoin, there is no question about it. As to why, the very obvious answer is crypto trading is based on the price of BTC.

Of course, Ethereum is an independent asset, has it's own supporter from this community, they still have to follow the king of cryptocurrency whether they like it or not. Maybe some pattern will show the Ethereum moves by it's own, but in the end, most of the time their relationships exist.
2105  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC make a new high in 2022? If not then what will be peak point? on: August 09, 2022, 11:54:14 PM
OP, it's not important "what price" Bitcoin might go, or how high it might surge. But it's very important to buy Bitcoin DIPs as low as you possibly can. It's going to be better for your sanity, and better for your stomach, believe me. Most of us plebs won't like HODLing an investment with a big loss. It forces many plebs to sell to relieve them of the stress, and to "cure " the mental illness. My advice to resist the temptation of selling is, USE COLD STORAGE. Hahaha.
Right, short term we might not be looking for $50k threshold, we are still in the bear market so I doubt that we will have a break out run this year. We already find the support line above $20k, so this seems to be the movement that we are going to see in the next couple of months. So the best approach is to still buy and then simply be a HODLer.

Plus Bitcoin never stayed under its 200-Week SMA for a long time in its history of being traded, AND Pi Cycle has already indicated that the bottom for the current cycle has been reached. It has never been wrong before.

Quote

Nothing beats a strategy than that, continue to accumulate as much as you can in this current scenario, and put in in a wallet that you have total control.

There is the top 10% of active traders that do beat the market consistently in general, but if you're merely a pleb with neither the skills nor the capital, saving through HODLing is for you.
True mate, the 200-Week SMA is still validated throughout it's fairly young history, so maybe for now we can say that the bottom has been reached already.

And @dragonvslinux has posted another detailed with his graph, specially the possibility that we might hit a good bull season up to the end of the month that will top around $49k, so we will have to wait and see if this is a hit or miss and no deviation.
2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: August 09, 2022, 11:29:40 PM
Obviously, they already know how Lopez could easily execute his strategy to win this fight, and everything about it tells us with his current record. Lopez is a knockout artist who has the necessary power to knockout Campain in the early rounds if he does not come up with some surprising strategy that can break the focus of Lopez. in that case, his chance to win will rise and also he can somehow prolong the fight until he can convince the judges by giving him more points to win the fight.

Lopez will try his best to knockout Campa this weekend as this is his chance to show his fans that he could bring his power to the heavier division because that will be questioned if he win only by decision. The lightweight division is stacked with so many big names so he should make his entry with a bang so that he could get those money fights sooner.

Have checked my online bookies, no other options so far except for the ML, this is weird considering that this is Teofimo Lopez's comeback fight.
Maybe his opponent is not known that's why as of this time, only the ML is present and no other options for us are being listed. But then again, come fight night, for sure crypto sport bookies will not forget about this fight. As you have said, this is supposedly the comeback fight from Lopez Jr and they should give up a lot of options to bet. Just to remind everyone that this is going to happen this weekend to better follow your favorite sport bookies if you want to bet on this fight.
2107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese Animation Slot Machines on: August 09, 2022, 11:08:36 PM
I'm one of those people who like animation like this, especially animation from Japan (Anime). Actually it has nothing to do with the game but features like this clearly make me curious and want to try even though it has nothing to do with winning and strategy there but I just want to feel the sensation of playing with a machine like this. I think there may be many out there who want to try like me now and this is good enough to attract people who like this kind of thing.
I think Japan has a goal to create the best thing and think no matter how small the problem will be done and give the best so that making a website that has interesting animations is one of the advantages of Japan, which is more advanced in technology, with a strategy like that you can attract new users like you did when you first tried it. Japanese people know that if the use of the website is easy to understand, it will make visitors always visit the site.
Well they started the whole manga, anime and it came from their country, so obviously this animation is from them. They are so far advance in technology that some of their shops have 3d display too.

Anyhow, I'm one of those who want to try this slot machines for it's animation, for sure many of us will enjoy it and be attracted to come back and play for more.
2108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 09, 2022, 09:06:58 AM
If Kevin Durant wants to leave the team then Nets had better let him go by a nice trade. Being insistent on keeping him here would cause him to be more unhappy and this would be of no use for Nets in the coming season. Irving must be in the same situation now too but we are hearing about Durant the most these days. He has been likely to sign for Suns or Heat but I don't know if they are still interested in a trade for him. Both of those teams would be nice for him imo.
And that's literally the problem why the Nets are not letting him go yet. They want a good piece of the pie in exchange for a better one. That should be enough sacrifice for them but no teams had offered a good one yet.
I bet Kyrie is realizing how bad the situation will be if he talks too that's why he is just silent about this. Besides, it will be better for him if KD will be traded and he will be left as a Nets and try to be the leader which he had been dreaming of.
There's too much sacrifice in roleplayers the Heat and Suns will make if they will try to grab KD. Both will be crippled in chemistry terms.
I think they are willing but definitely there are looking for a bunch of good players in exchange of Durant. Just look at how many players the Wolves has to give up in order to get Rudy Gobert, 4 future draft picks, and 5 players if I'm not mistaken, so what more if the name is Kevin Durant? So the Nets are looking in that kind of trade, but so far no teams are willing to bite on that. So Durant might end up with the Nets still in the coming season. Or if he really wanted to go the lengths of sitting down and not playing because he feel he doesn't want to, then so be it.
2109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confused wallet user on: August 06, 2022, 11:56:15 AM
I am confused right now,  I did some research on the solana hack I I came to understand that slope wallet is the main issue, my question is why are wallets backing up users recovery phrases in a log file? Yeah it got compromised somehow that's how hackers get those files but why in the first place is wallet doing this? Are other wallets like this?...
Obviously, that shouldn't be the case, no mnemonic phrase should be save anywhere in the internet, not in a 3rd party centralized server. And so this is the biggest mistakes that the Slope wallet developer or who ever is in charge, it's clearly negligence on their part. So that is the answer to your question, no, wallet backups should not be in any log file. Majority of us go into writing it and keeping it safe.

2111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 06, 2022, 10:48:11 AM
LOL.. did anyone checked the polls on this thread recently? Golovkin is favored by such a huge margin (almost 3:1). Despite his age, I am sure that this fight is going to be very competitive. Canelo is still reeling from his loss against Bivol. Golovkin on the other hand is in good momentum. Even during his press meets, Golovkin looks to be in very good shape. To be frank, I am not expecting a KO. Both the fighters do have very good defenses and it is almost impossible to knock them out. The result may be decided by the jury.
He always looks in shape and very calm in the press conference. As compare to Canelo who seems to be as you have said, still disturbed by the lost he suffered from the hands of Bivol.

A KO win might be out out of the picture, maybe a small chance to happen. Both have good defense and chin as well that's why they are very hard to KO.
2112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 06, 2022, 10:24:57 AM
Bull will now have a veteran and a good point guard, an experience Dragic will definitely help the team. Their roster IMO is already a championship team, if they were only healthy last season, they have a chance to advance, so hopefully in the coming season, as their chemistry gets stronger, being healthy will definitely help them to be a championship team.

I might disagree with your idea that the Chicago Bulls roster is already can consider a championship team.

They have a good run last season, surprising everyone with their good chemistry right at the start of the season but began to show inconsistency during the last phase of the season. I am positive about this young team but believe me, even if they stay healthy last season, their chance to advance to Finals is really slim. They will soon get their own recognition but not at that time.

Not just to stay healthy but the Bulls need to build a second squad that can consistently assist their main core, especially in the event of continuous injuries. They are already composed of good role players and what they need to do is to add some more.

There are lots of precious role players that are just there waiting to be utilized properly by a team.

DeRozan is having his best season with the Chicago Bulls, he will continue next season, with the experience they had last season, they will be more mature and maybe they are not a championship team but who knows a surprise might happen. Remember when the Raptors won a championship, they are not a championship team but they beat the Warriors.
But the Raptors has Kawhi that time, and we have Warriors players getting injured. So I would say that Raptors is a caliber already, but not be by definition, a championship team, but still with Kawhi and Lowry and Siakam they are not to be overlook.

But I agree that DeRozan has found a home in the Bulls, early in the season, they lead the East with DeRozan hitting back to back winners if my memory serves me right. But then again, they suffered injuries, causing them to go down in rankings and then losing in the first round.
2113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: lumin coin has 100x protential on: August 05, 2022, 12:22:28 PM
Just browsed around their website and this is nothing more than a useless shitcoin where only the creators will make some profit. No whitepaper, no information about the team also. Everybody needs to DYOR, but I would never invest in coins like this.
what are you expecting from a new account Huh  Well to me it's very clear that he's trying to advertise the project with a simple information.. Lol its very common tbh. and i will never hesitate to ignore this kind of offer because you don't know behind if there's another trap what links their sharing on this forum.. I hope you're aware about phishing links.  Cheesy
We don’t know if he is connected with this project but its total a waste of time to visit this site, hard to find more information about this and I wonder what is the basis of OP to say this is going to be a 100x potential shitcoin. Well, DYOR, don’t invest right a way especially if they are claiming to be a good project but in reality they are not. We should spread more information about this project to warn newbies, better to take more time analyzing this one first than to buy right away, I’m also hesitant to click the link.
I did try to look at the twitter account, but yeah, nothing to find, just the basic of a meme coins, supposedly there is a AMA and staking and others, nevertheless the name was the giveaway, lol, illuminati coin. Who in the right mind will invest on this kind of project? maybe except few pump and dump admin and then groups who for sure will lure a lot of noobs investors and giving them false hope that they are going to profit big in this project like a potential 100x that the OP is shilling.
2114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 05, 2022, 11:06:33 AM
I understand your point as in the first place, the trilogy will not be initiated and planned for long if there are no doubts and questions about the first result on which Canelo claimed he won already twice that's why before, he's not interested in the trilogy. In fairness though with Canelo, he really shows explosiveness in that fight but it's just that, the entire match is close that any judges will have difficulty scoring.

And since Canelo is the current "cash cow" there are speculations and rumors that judges might be favored him. But that won't be easy as in the event that GGG shows pure dominance in most rounds, I doubt there will be an unfair judgment on the result.

I raised this topic (jury bias) a few weeks back, because I saw the same during the Bivol vs Canelo fight. Bivol completely dominated the fight between these two, but in the end the scorecard(115-113, 115-113, 115-113) was a lot closer than what I thought it should have been. The writing on the wall is clear. Canelo is the cash cow and he needs to be saved at any cost. A second consecutive defeat will not only sink his career, but will also cause huge losses to firms such as Golden Boy and DAZN.

Really something that GGG should be ready of, he cannot just let the judges to dictate the outcome again, he should win via KO so no more biases. Well, I know GGG understands that already, so for sure he will be training hard to ensure that he would get a convincing win.
I think he knows that even in the first fight that's why he started very strong winning some early rounds. But Canelo adjusted and that should be enough for the judges to half the fight in draw. GGG pushes himself but we really don't know if Canelo did enough in the 2nd half of the fight to even merit that score from the judges. Same in the 2nd fight, Canelo is really fighting very hard and that fight could go either way, but judges still favor the cash cow Canelo and there are speculations inside that the judges did really favor Canelo to win to continue his rise to the top.
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 05, 2022, 10:34:55 AM
What do you guys think about this?  Nonito Donaire won’t retire, plans move to 115 for Chocolatito Gonzalez or Kazuto Ioka next.

Quote
“It’s a really good fight with Chocolatito and people are saying it would be ‘legend versus legend,’” Donaire said through Probellum. “It’s a big fight. But I do like the Ioka fight as well because I want to get that title and become a five-division champion and then move back up to 118 and go for the undisputed crown once everything else is open and I get another opportunity for it.”

So Nonito Donaire will not retire, he will continue with his career and he will defy the odds by going down to 115 lbs and then look for money fights like against Chocolatito and Ioka.

Do you think this is a good idea? as we all know that he is already 40 yrs old and it's really hard for the body as we age?

Maybe this is not about records or for a crown since most provably he want to fight for money, He age already and for provably grab the opportunity to earn million of dollars while he can. But if we really look at his age he really need to retire healthy because if he receive a bad hit which can cause a heavy damage on his body for sure he cannot enjoy the money he earn on all of his fight and he will be forgotten in the scene.
Of course everyone fights for the money, but I thought that he already has a lot because I read reports that him and his wife are very good at taking care of their money and has invested it.

Anyhow, I do agree that it's only up to Nonito to make the final decision about his career, maybe he still has that itch and that he still wanted to test himself against the best like Roman Gonzalez and the Japanese Ioka and willing to go down to their weight classes.
2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man Collapses after Allegedly Losing a $400 Loan at a Betting Shop on: August 05, 2022, 10:09:36 AM
Maybe he collapses not because of his losses, but he is afraid on how he is going to pay the loan shark. It's probably like 20% or more than maybe he was just give 2 weeks to pay for it. And now that he gambles everything, then his problems multiply as well.

Again, dumb decision because he didn't know to prioritize things. Or maybe he was really addicted already that's why he is willing to take a loan to disguise as payment but at the back of him mind, he is thinking that once he got the money, he will gamble it right away.
2117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 05, 2022, 09:39:57 AM
What I'm reading about Howard right now is that he could be the Net's replacement for Drummond. He seems to be interested with the idea too but I think he just wants to land a team for next season and it doesn't matter if its the Nets or the Kings hehe. He's already looking for another career after NBA and he'll probably take another one-year min vet deal before calling it quits. That's plenty of time for him to get a new job.
Howard to the Kings Cheesy. That's their first move this off-season if that happens. They are the most silent team right now and aside from that, I also read a post in Facebook telling that "The Kings are the only team who doesn't have any losses in the playoffs for the last 16 years." You know what it means right? Tongue.

Howard is a really good 2nd option as a defender and he has been a big help to the 2020 Lakers where they got a championship. I hope that there will be a team that will get him even for a veteran minimum deal. If the Nets will get him, I wonder who will be the starting center of the team because for sure Howard will not be their starting Center. Drummond is more agile than him and now that they will replace him and with Aldridge becoming a free agent, who will be the starting center of the Nets.

Ok so Drummond already move from Nets to the Bulls, so it's probably Nic Claxton will be their starting center.  This kid has some moves, and has been improving since joining the Nets. So it's good that they have retained him, however, he has no back up in the center position and Howard might be a good fit. Although Nets have been known to play small as well, as they have the two best players in Durant and Irving (if they will remain at least this incoming season).

No other legit for the Nets aside from Claxton (https://www.nba.com/nets/roster), well, unless they will resign Aldrige then maybe that could help him. But this team have two superstars, so a decent center I think is already enough to help them win.
Yes, but Claxton seems to be inexperience but we have seen that he is a blend with the team. Maybe they will have to give him more time in the court because when Aldridge went back and play, his playing minutes was diminished. One area for improvement is his free throws. But yes, who needs a good center when they have two superstars who mostly carrry the loads for them.
2118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is about to have its biggest monthly gain since October 2021. on: August 04, 2022, 01:55:11 PM
As much as we wanted to remain bullish, I don't see this prediction happening. I mean just look at the price, we can't even get the hump of the next big barrier of $25k. Of course we wanted to see the price growing in the next couple of months. But if we are going to based on pure speculation like this one, hmm, might be better to not expect something big so that we will not be disappointed at the time. Maybe we have hit the all time lows already, so that is good enough for me. But to say that we are in rally wherein it's obvious there is none, it's better just to see how the market will progress and again, don't anticipate something big as we are still in the bear market.
2119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Finding value bets on: August 04, 2022, 01:14:36 PM
If the odds are low but it looks like a sure win then parlay it. That is what I do when I am having a difficult time deciding if it's worth the bet.
Sometimes I play different sports that I do not know and look for low odds just to add in a long parlay and maximize the profits.
In regards, if it's a value bet, no if you risking a large amount of money. Imagine pouring $1000 in one bet and all you can win is $100 while if a sudden unexpected thing happens you will lose 10 fold of the winning bet.
I like risks, but this is not the type that I want. Most of the time going for underdogs with lesser bets but high winnings.
Yeah, but the problem in parlay is the risk as well, you can have multiple bets, but it will be completely destroyed when one of value bets loses. And the odds are not going to be high, it won't even go 1.50 if you have like 1.10 or lower multiple bets.

So it's really hard to bet on this so called value bets, yeah chances are very high, but there are chances that they might still be upset in the end. Unless everything really falls into it, multiple bets all winning whether the odds are very high or very attractive.
2120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 04, 2022, 12:37:14 PM
Yes, it seems to me that the upcoming fight will not be spectacular, each of the boxers understands what any mistake can turn out for him and it is unlikely that we will see, although of course we would like an open fight based on a knockout.
Their punches could knockout if on a different boxers, it's just that both have a strong body and a granite chin, so we will unlikely to see a KO but a entertaining fight is always guaranteed in this fight. Canelo by Decision, that's likely the outcome, but I like to see GGG by KO.  Grin
Not just they have granite chin, but they have an unbelievable punch resistance too, and that makes this fighter really very special in the MW and Super MW division.

But iin boxing, we can't only speculate as whether that chin will hold or not. We've seen so many legendary boxers who have a strong chin, however, it was broken when you least expect of them. And as the voting goes, we want GGG to win, and it will be a very satisfiying win if he is the fight one to break that granite chin of Canelo (it will be a long shot).
