2101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Distortion Pattern on: October 12, 2022, 08:32:26 AM
4. Gambling Distortion Pattern IV
I think the fourth pattern of play is the most dangerous, because when you have a few moments of big wins in the midst of several unsuccessful bets, the player feels motivated to place more bets believing that in the end he is managing to make up for the losses, or at least you feel more confident to continue playing because you know that at some point or another you will win again, but winnings usually cannot cover all losses.
It's also the most fun and thrilling experience because you never knew that you could win your very last bet. It happens to me before a couple of times for both autobet/normal play and martingale. It's true that you are going to be motivated to try again because your balance are once again replenished.
Right, and that will be the trap for us gamblers, just imagine the feeling that you are out with your last bet and then win it big? Your capital is replenish and so you go back to play and hope that you will continue to have successes.

Sometimes I can bust all what I got or if I am lucky to have a control that time, I will go home with some winnings. Now the practice that I am doing is that ill just withdraw most of money first and then left only some so that I can play on them recklessly. I don't reposit because I have enough already but ill go back again the next day or two.
Good practice, but our enemy is our emotion, maybe yes you withdraw your winnings and left some funds. But what if if you lose again, will you go deposit and stop completely?
2102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 12, 2022, 08:11:07 AM

You don't need to ask that for him because we know Loma, he is a great boxer and he is always an entertaining boxer to watch. In fact, I'm more interested on his next fight as this fight is just probably his warm up before a big fight which could happen this year.

Loma has been an entertaining boxer all these years and for him to fight Ortiz in his comeback is the best decision for his team because he really needs warm up if he wants to get ready for a big fish next fight. Let's just hope he will gonna finish this quick in the early rounds without getting injured or something like that, in order for him to get a quick fight in the first quarter of next year. Who might be his next potential opponent when he is done with this one?
Right, and this is considered to be his "second" comeback fight, remember that he got injured and then makes a huge statement comeback win against Nakatani and then Comney. And the war started and he served his country. And now amidst the war in the background, he decided to come back like his fellow Ukrainian Usyk and fight in the ring once more. I'm seeing either Haney or Kambosos in his next fight assuming he win here.
2103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 12, 2022, 04:07:26 AM
Scary moment for the Charlotte Hornets today as LaMelo Ball screamed out in pain driving to the lane. It looked like a bad ankle injury, which it was, but doctors just confirmed it’s a sprain so he’ll be back before too long. He is expected to miss the first few games of the year but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s ready to go for the start of the season.
Indeed, we don't want to see another star going down in pre-season games because for sure it will be a big blow for the Hornets this season. Hopefully he just need to rest that sprain ankle and with few massages and shot of anti-inflammatory, he will be good.

Wiseman really looks good vs against the Blazers, good block on Jeremi Grant.
2104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years ago this man was accused to be Satoshi on: October 12, 2022, 03:40:57 AM
I'm not also not familiar with the name, maybe in crypto or any other secure communications protocol or cryptography.

But in any case, yes, this man knows whats coming if he pretend to be Satoshi, just like what infamous CW is trying to portray when everyone around here knows that he is not Satoshi. So kudos to this guy for coming out in public and clearing his name and it is the right decision indeed. And for sure, Satoshi will no longer reappear but his invention will remain with us.
2105  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for October on: October 11, 2022, 09:38:42 PM
I voted for sideways, and it seems that they whole year, we are going in a accumulation phase around $20k and so we can start at that price this month and maybe has some gains but then again falter in the last week of October. And this has been the trend and so I wouldn't be surprised a sideway pattern till the end of this year. Most likely around $19k-$22k I reckon. So it's not that bad, investors can still invest because it is still cheap and at a huge discount from our last all time high.
2106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Mysteries Of Bitcoin on: October 11, 2022, 09:22:50 PM
Well for once, we should lay to rest Satoshi's identity. As someone says, he could be dead already and so his coins are not going to move anytime. And if someone comes forward again and claim to be Satoshi, then our common sense that is he fake.

But we can read about Satoshi here in this community as he has posted a lot in the beginning before he disappear.

2107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 11, 2022, 09:05:17 PM
Might be better if we are going to look for the KO odds, but not sure what will it be. And then the per rounds and asian cup (which offer better odds if I'm not mistaken).

I still remember that we have discussed about the contract, it is sign already and that we can safe to say that December is really the target date?
2108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone Use Or Using this Strategy In Casino on: October 11, 2022, 08:45:59 PM
There are players who have had great success using the MartinGale strategy. The problem, especially with land-based casinos, is that you quickly run into certain limits. And you also have to be very quick to bet. That is a bit easier and faster at an online casino. You can try any strategy you want in the casino, eventually it will stop working and you will lose your balance completely. You have to be prepared for that.
If you are going to try a strategy in a casino, it is advisable to start with low limits so that you don't have problems with very high stakes to win a low amount like MartinGale.
I don't see any difference though if we talk about the strategy, obviously we can talk about the time, but the OP didn't specially ask for that, he is questioning whether we go all or bust so Martingale is out of the question here.

Definitely I did it in the past, I know that others wanted to have fun and enjoy when they gamble. But there are times that you really just wanted to bet everything in one game. However, the question is whether you want to continue after you win is very different.
2109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 11, 2022, 08:24:52 PM
If Jordan Poole's family gets involved, then it's going to be a different story on Draymond and the whole NBA itself. It's going to be a precedence if I'm not mistaken.

We have heard about Michael Jordan and Steve Kerr incident wherein it was reported that Michael punch Steve.

Quote
“It made me look at myself and say, ‘You know what? You’re really being an idiot about this whole process,'” Jordan recalled, via Chicago sports historian Jack M Silverstein. “I knew I had to be more respectful of my teammates.”

Jordan called Kerr after punching him to apologize. The two talked it out, and their trust went to another level. MJ knew he crossed the line, and it presumably meant a lot to Kerr for the most significant player in the game to call him to say he’s sorry.

2110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anderson Silva vs Jake paul who you bet on? on: October 08, 2022, 03:29:40 AM
I probably won't bet this fight because I have no idea who will win.  Anderson Silva is clearly the better and more established fighter, but he's old...  Jake has age and likely supplements on his side, so for me this is a risky fight for Anderson Silva while also being one hell of a payday.  I can see why he didn't want to turn this fight down.  Win or lose I suspect it'll be the last time he enters the ring.  Personally, I'd like to see Jake get knocked out and I'd hate to see Anderson Silva get knocked out, so I probably have too much emotion on the line to add money to it.  I'll watch the fight though and hope for the best.  Old man power better be on display.
I've seen multiple people claiming that Jake Paul is using steroids now. Is there any merit to that or is that just something people do when someone in the fighting business has some degree of success?

I can't remember who said it now, but they claimed that from his amateur fights to his first pro fight he put on a unimaginable amount of muscle. To me, he looked like he toned up more than put a massive amount of muscle on. He also cut his body fat percentage quite significantly which gives the impression of being bigger, due to the muscles bulging rather sitting under a layer of fat.

After his fights he pretty much goes back to his normal body weight, like a lot of professional fighters do. Going by face value, I imagine the claims are unsubstantiated.
Well it's really hard to say unless there are proof of it, like VADA or any anti doping body caught him like in the blood or urine samples they have to voluntarily subject.

But then again, are there any body involved in this fight? I'm not sure, if Silva has also been positive as well in the past during his MMA days.

Can anyone confirm if VADA is on top of this fight or not?
2111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Le'Veon Bell vs Uriah Hall - October 29th on: October 08, 2022, 03:08:49 AM
Boxing is much easier to train and prepare for, in contrast to MMA.

The main reason professional fighters select MMA over boxing is boxers usually needing to compile 20-0 records before fighting for a championship or seeing a good payday.

Wheras in MMA it is possible to have a title shot or be paid well with as little as a 5-0 record.

However with the inception of Jake Paul and Logan Paul the nature of boxing has changed. Athletes with fewer than 5 professional boxing matches are being paid well, as long as they have a good following on social media. This is something that has never been seen before in boxing. Its good for athletes and celebrities. Although over the long term, it could devalue boxing as a sport. If the market becomes too saturated with unvetted amateurs competing at the highest levels.
Yes, but there are few exceptions like Loma who fought for a championship in his 2nd fight if I'm not mistaken. And of course, there are fewer MMA fighters as compare to boxers, in which boxing exist till the turn of the centuries. And so obviously, boxers will have to compete with a lot while MMA you can have 5 straight wins and then you are guaranteed for a title fight.

Th Paul brothers is different though, there are more of exhibition fighters rather that pure professional boxer so the market is very different.
2112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 07, 2022, 11:36:47 AM
^^ Many are looking for this kid and there are reports that scouts are present in the game and they are satisfied seeing Victor Wembanyama, and telling that he is a hybrid of KD and Rudy Gobert? And so they are very happy to watch him so it's going to be a dogfight if he even goes to the NBA.

As for Kai, he is also good but still very raw talent that needs to be developed.
2113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 07, 2022, 11:10:15 AM
^ Yes, same expectation as others, he should be showing us a good performance in this comeback fight. We missed him already when he involved himself to protect his homeland. But it's time that he goes back fighting against like his compatriot in Usyk. So if he wins by knockout or a complete shut out of Ortiz in the judges card, I'm not going to be surprised as this is the Loma that we are familiar since he become a champion.
2114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why 95% online Gambling websites are Scam? on: October 07, 2022, 10:47:51 AM
Hi guys I know That it silly thing because gambling is a thing in which only casino wins
.and a user will always loose it's money. And gambling makes people poor and drain everything from money to joy. And that sucks.
In 2017 I was introduced by Bitsler.com
This website took me at least 2000 dollars a that time. There was a time when I have at least 3 ETHER at the rate of dollars. And I regret that day when I lost everything. And that took my life from me. And that was the was the day I never entered this type of scams ever. And I know people will say that we become greedy. But system is designed I n such way that it took people money and everything that we had. And I know it just that hard.
Because that's how gambling business operations work. They have the house edge, you can't beat that. But there are days that you are going to be lucky and you should take that opportunity and logout once you win.

But if you comeback and play for more thinking that you can duplicate your winnings, chances are, you are going to lose. So the system is not a scam per se, it's just up to you how you control your emotions and not to fall for your greediness.
2115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin's Price be affected by this? on: October 06, 2022, 10:40:39 AM
I guess we are done with Elon Musk and his twitter acquisition drama. So I would agree what most of the posters said, it will not have a significant effect as far as the price goes. Maybe if we see Elon as pro-Bitcoin, but we have seen how we change his stance specially with this whole crazy idea that bitcoin is not eco-friendly. Majority of us stop believing in him. He can do whatever he pleases with his new company, but crypto market will always be a separate entity from any self made billionaire.
2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 06, 2022, 09:47:07 AM
I miss the days when there were also world title fights in the undercards. Legendary Manny Pacquiao for instance used to defend his title while on the undercards like during the Lewis-Tyson fight. Glorious days for boxing. Now it's all about playing safe and money.

Boxers these days are moving like they were the promoters or organizers rather than boxers, they are too attached and more interested to know the money business instead of focusing in making their own legacy to be known in the industry just like the good old days. Probably the reason why almost all known boxers in the industry had built their own promotional company after their professional years.
I guess the boxers really wanted to know how much they are making and probably wanted to know if their promoters are really paying them for how much they worth.

We all know that in the past, boxers like Floyd decided to be their own manager and challenge Bob Arum that time because he wanted more. And so he is partly to blame for boxers now becoming businessman and wanted to know the business side of boxing, instead of just focusing on the fight itself.

We can understand that boxers nowadays would like to level up on the earnings of the promoter, they seemed to think that they are the one investing money to make the right happen, I'd say it's a wrong attitude, that's being greedy, but then, I could be wrong though, just stating my personal opinion.
But it doesn't mean that they are greedy any way, as I have said, you need to know not just how much money go are getting, but the overall value of your fight based on who is your dance partner. Maybe there will be fights that you wonder why you get less money as compare to lets say facing fighter A, something like that and hope you get my point. It's not greedy per definition, yes maybe it's going to be complicated for them, but if they see themselves as businessnman then nothing is wrong with that I would say.
2117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: October 06, 2022, 09:32:21 AM
You're a professional like a lawyer or a teacher in a respected university, will it harm your reputation if people around you or your students discover that you are into gambling, you're not really a compulsive gambler but gamble for entertainment, how will you explain this to people around you or will you explain to protect your reputation or just ignore them.

It depends on which country do I live. Some countries are really conservative and finding out that a respectable member of the society is involved in such activities would damage his reputation for sure. Other countries are more liberal and the society isn't very strict about "controlling" the personal life of it's most respectable members. After all, we are adults and we have the right to have some fun once in a while.
If I was a teacher, I would do the best I can to hide the fact that I'm gambling. We live in the 21st century and online gambling is a thing.
I wouldn't bother visiting offline casinos so that someone I know would see me there.
I would say that maybe some Asian countries are very strict in terms of reputation and they want to protect it at all cost. But if they were reveal to be involved in gambling, then, I will assume that they will resign from their post or move out.

But for let's say an European countries that is liberal and open, it won't affect them, maybe even a MP in their country won't be bothered if they are to be found gambling in some place or even in their home country.
2118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Estrada vs Chocolatito - Trilogy - Dec 3, 2022 on: October 06, 2022, 08:56:40 AM
Chocolatito is the better fighter but judges seem to want to see a trilogy for the promoters to make money if they pick the fight where they left then Chocolatito will have the advantage and the win, Estrada should show something new here, In both fights Chocolatito always gets the better of the exchanges, what I like about the two fighters is their style, they love to engage and stand toe to toe and that's what we are going to see in their third fight.

They should really settle for the last time since Choco is getting old and already passed his prime. Another exciting trilogy we will have this year and this one should also be settled for the fans and both boxers to remove any doubt in their last fights. I think this one will be the best since they both gonna give their best to prove to everyone that they are the best boxer against each other. maybe This time they won't let the judges decide who gonna win and they will gonna wrap it up when they see an opportunity to finish one another.

They say style makes a fight and a trilogy can only happen if we have fighters that compliment each other style, like the Marquez - Pacquiao fights and the boxing community always support trilogies because it the continuation of the excitement of the previous two fights, I'm sure both fighters will show up to fight hopefully one of them will end this trilogy, its a legacy fight for both fighters I hope Chocolatito wins this one, so he can cement his legacy, Estrada can still go on as he is still young.
I think Gonzalez already cemented his legacy in the 115 lbs as he had defeated a lot of great fighters in this division. But it seems he had met his match against a tough Mexican in Estrada. Of course, we will support trilogies as boxing fans, recently we just saw the Canelo vs GGG fight although it seems that GGG is already past his prime as he was dominated by Canelo. But this fight is still 50/50 in my opinion, although Chocolatito seems to the betting favorite, but not going to be easy match for him.
2119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 06, 2022, 08:39:13 AM

The game is not that interested when the superstars aren't playing because we can't really feel the intensity if the lead players aren't there. But these pre-season games are also good because the other players in the roster can establish their skills to the public and it's a good warm-up for both teams before the season will start, formally.

Also, just like what you've said, pre-season games don't really matter so it's not really embarrassing if Bucks or Grizzlies will get defeated. But speaking of embarrassment this pre-season games, it's hard not to mention the Phoenix Suns because they got defeated and bullied by a non-NBA team named Adelaide 36ers especially when the trio of the Suns was there playing. Can't really imagine what the Point God, CP3 felt after the game.

Yup! I really don't think much about the Preseason game for the NBA and It really doesn't matter for them to lose the game aswell but showing their bench players their ability for the team and putting up teams up that the team also isn't using much and seeing their chemistry as well,

Well that game is also a preseason and I don't really know if the Phoenix Suns intentionally lost to the Adelaide 36ers as I mention the Phoenix Suns also just using the bench players for this game it is like they are really underestimating the Adelaide 36ers, but the fans of the Phoenix Suns is not happy about them losing to a non-NBA team like that they should have put in the effort of just winning,

Right, that game is not that important and pre-season was created to give time for each team to establish their plan and to know if it's good or not to draw it again. Just like the game of Lakers and Kings, the Lakers lost the game but their starters played for just 15 minutes or less and then they let the bench players play right after while the Kings let their starting five play all the way. There's indeed a difference, people should know that it's not that important including the Sun's situation versus the 36ers.
It's true, but for me this is a good chance to see how the player chemistry is, and of course if they are going to win their new team mates. I remember last year with the Lakers line up, highly anticipated and we say that it is not that important, as the impression on them is just like half baked. But look at how the team turns out to be in the regular season, but we can argue that it was due to injuries to their franchise like AD and Lebron that really contributed to their downfall.
2120  Other / Archival / Re: Q4 2022. What to expect from bitcoin? on: October 05, 2022, 09:22:08 PM
An increase of 5% will not change the price much, then 22,000 is enough to end the year with an increase compared to the previous quarter.
Therefore, even the conclusion on a high does not mean a high rise because of all the variables that are happening in the world.
Returning to the 30K levels seems like a dream at the moment due to the huge resistance at the 25K levels.
Yes, maybe $25k is enough for me at least at the end of the year. In the background as you have said there are a lot of factors affecting world economy and it will affect the market as well. So if the world continue to suffer, then the market will be down in the last 3 months with minor price increase to $25k. $30k levels? at least we should have some good news to bring back the life in the market at this price range but I'm not sure if we are going to see something that big that will push it to $30k.
