Somebody had to do it first and after a significant amount of waiting I decided to leave appropriate feedback. When I read the OP of that thread, it was simply ridiculously worded and I have no idea why that many forum members decided to try to win the imaginary $50.

I hope the incident surrounding the fake giveaway will serve as a reminder to all members especially those that have been around the forum for several years that they should apply due-diligence and ask serious questions to any newbie OP. Maybe Rbah will return one day with an interesting story about why the winner was not sent their prize but until then at the very least the negative tag will remain.

You did it before I did it  Grin
2122  Other / Archival / Re: Another fake bitcoin giveaway? on: January 30, 2023, 07:03:54 PM
If the winner of that giveaway did not receive the funds and if the OP of that thread has not logged in since 24th January 2023 and has not honoured the promises that he made himself without anybody influencing him (namely he created a thread of his own accord with a $50 giveaway and selected a winner under dubious circumstances and promises to pay the prize in 24 hours), that should now constitute his account being tagged.

I have left appropriate feedback for Rbah for failing to pay the prize to the winner he selected in this thread $50 in BTC Giveaway

I am fairly sure Rbah was waiting for his account to be tagged before he logs back in to say that he was going to pay the prize but since his account has now been unfairly tagged he will not be paying the prize. We have waited a week and he has not shown up but if the account gets tagged he probably will unless the puppeteer controlling the account gave up because he received just 1 merit in exchange for a $50 trade and decided to keep the $50 thus losing the farmed Rbah account.

Having said the obvious, a week after he promised to pay the prize within 24 hours, it did not detract me from appropriately tagging the account.
2123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ ENGLISH FA CUP 2022/23 TOURNAMENT - Discussion Thread on: January 30, 2023, 11:09:39 AM
I thought they overpaid for Casemiro because he was already 30 years of age when he joined Manchester United but he has been a very good player for them.

Liverpool were beaten by Brighton. Opponents just do not fear facing Liverpool, they have dipped in form after selling Sadio Mane. It just goes to show how important Mane was for the team (more than Salah). If Liverpool owners sack Klopp they will have to pay compensation and then give the new manager time to rebuild and spend on players he wants to bring in. As long as Klopp does not resign the board will not sack him because the club is now for sale they would prefer to sell it and let the new owners make decisions.

@JollyGood I’m really happy for Manchester United, and the way they’re playing is making every Red Devil fan’s proud and it’s hard to imagine that we were getting Rabiot instead of Casemiro Grin. Furthermore Liverpool season seems to be jinxed, because they have been eliminated from this competition and now I wonder how long before the Liverpool board loses patience with Klopp and sacks him?.

I found this thread and also received your PM. As my name was mentioned here I will make a comment.

I have to say that after taking all things available to me at the moment (information, feedback, comments) in to consideration, I have decided that I will not remove nor revise the negative feedback that I left.

That does not mean it cannot be revised in future but it will probably only happen if there are absolutely exceptional circumstances, therefore highly unlikely.

In conclusion, I humbly request for the forgiveness of the Bitcoin community and for a chance to be a normal forum user once again. I ask for your support in opposing the flag on my profile
and for Lutpin, Mitchell, The Sceptical Chymist, marlboroza, and JollyGood to reconsider their feedback.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Jamal

I am certain Arsenal will not win the Premier League and the game today shows Arsenal can be beaten by a more determined opponent. Manchester City will not let go of their champions status easily. Manchester City deserved their win and they proceed to the 5th Round,

Here are the 4th Round games taking place tomorrow Saturday 28th January 2023:

Accrington Stanley vs Leeds United
Walsall vs Leicester City
Blackburn Rovers vs Birmingham City
Bristol City vs West Bromwich Albion
Fulham vs Sunderland
Ipswich Town vs Burnley
Luton Town vs Grimsby Town
Sheffield Wednesday vs Fleetwood Town
Southampton vs Blackpool
Preston North End vs Tottenham Hotspur
Manchester United vs Reading

Although Manchester city won at the end of the day, they did not quite impress and dominate the game like they usually do. It was a fairly balanced game that I feel that Arsenal could have won had Arteta started with our regular first Eleven players and not removing Thomas Party for Sambi Lokonga, and starting Odegaard. The moment Thomas Partey went off, I feel Manchester United got an edge in midfield. Arsenal was able to contain De Bruyne and Halaand, and that is something good in preparation for when we play Manchester city in the premier league.

Congratulations Manchester city, the can win the FA cup this season, since Arsenal are looking fully focused on winning the EPL.

The only FA Cup game taking place this evening:

Manchester City vs Arsenal

At the time of writing the post, Manchester City are winning 1-0 with a goal from Ake after 64 minutes. This is the first game in the 4th round of the competition. The following 4th round games take place over the weekend.

RESULT:

Nottingham Forest 0-3 Manchester United

This result was from the game played yesterday. I think it is fair enough to say Manchester United will make it to the final no matter what happens when they host Nottingham Forest in the second leg of their semi-final. I cannot see how they could squander a three away goals lead when a place in a final is at stake. The question still remains as to who they will meet: Newcastle United or Southampton

This is winner's address: 1MxqUhnCwuUwbc7Z1NhNTTGiVHJXBpurCi; I am constantly monitoring it since this user was declared as winner.

So there are higher chances for OP of being given negative feedback for not paying the prize than for poor management of the giveaway.
It does seem highly unlikely that address will be sent anything from the OP of the giveaway thread since he was never really active in the forum and has no need to pay or re-run the the giveaway for the sake of transparency.

Does anyone still strongly believe that this is really a newbie who is giving away money in a simple lottery? Every day it becomes more and more clear that this is a farmer who already once deceived and did not pay the prize and now decided to repeat the same trick. There will be no payouts, he will simply disappear and someday create a new account. I wonder if he will also try to run another crappy lottery from the new account? Cheesy
I do have very strong suspicions that he was part of a farmed account and that account was used to test to see if merits could be given for the sake of the giveaway. In the end I believe he received just one merit and now will most probably receive negative tags as his 24 hour deadline to pay the $50 has passed and he provided no explanation for the non-payment.

For those looking for a real giveaway, there are still slots available and winner will receive 0.0025 BTC which is currently around $57.63. It is free to enter, only one entry per member is allowed: Win c.$50 on Free Lottery#1 JollyGood-Ratimov-Utopia: Fury vs Usyk

2131  Economy / Lending / Thread For Lenders: Experiencing Highs and Lows of Lending on: January 26, 2023, 02:26:14 PM
self-moderated to keep this thread clean from trolls, attention-seekers and signature spammers

Lenders have contributed immensely to the ecosystem that falls within this wonderful forum of ours. They have allowed others to take loans both with and without collateral and have evolved as lenders when required over a period of time. Would any lenders be able to shed some light on various aspects of their business practices and experiences?:

(edited)
1) What is the lowest or smallest ever amount you have loaned out
2) What is the highest or largest ever amount you have loaned out
3) What is the approximate ratio between loans with collateral being unpaid and loans being fully repaid
4) What is the approximate ratio between loans without collateral being unpaid and loans being fully repaid
5) What is the approximate ratio between loans that are fully repaid on time vs fully repaid but not on time
6) What is the biggest profit you made on a loan
7) What is the biggest loss you have incurred as a result of non-payment

This thread is for lenders therefore in part has been self-moderated in order to keep on topic from lenders rather than have non-lenders posting off topic. I hope they will answer the questions as I have been curious about this for some time and maybe others have been too.

As long as an unbiased review is left by a reputable forum members it allows others to feel confident about whether they should test out the service or not. This looks like another piece of excellent customer services provided by a company/business/project when they listen to their customers and take action find a solution fast. I have to say I am very impressed with what I am reading about CoinPayCard.

It looks fixed now. Thanks!
2133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: January 26, 2023, 11:51:32 AM
There was a discussion by Tottenham fans on television a couple of years ago with some saying they would understand if he left them to join a club in order to win trophies. Look at Shearer, what a goalscorer but he only ever won just one Premier League title with Blackburn when they spent excessively and bankrolled their way to become champions. I think he also played in the Newcastle United that the FA Cup final in 1999 when Manchester United won the treble.

Sometimes, a player has to move on to a bigger club in order to win trophies otherwise by the time they get to 30 years of age (like Kane) they are restricted in their choices as the list of number of teams wanting them becomes smaller.

Being a great player comes with something to show for it and at his age, staying at Tottenham that has no trophy to show for isn't healthy for a player like Kane. Was expecting him to make a move instead I heard he's going to renew his contract despite the  transfer rumor that Man UTD are up for him. I mean if he retires how is it going to be like? England best striker retired without a single trophy to his name, that would be disappointing. He should just get hold of something before it will be time for him to take a bow.
2134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK sponsored by Utopia on: January 26, 2023, 11:43:12 AM
I don't know about that. I don't think it's being clever or not. It's just boxers, and in general combat sports athletes tend to go on a little longer than they probably should. Call it a love for the game or whatever, but there's been a lot of examples. Even the greats, like Mike Tyson probably went on longer than they should have. He even returned for a exhibition probably because he misses boxing.

Fury has already had withdrawal effects from boxing when he wasn't doing it, and has said that he needs to train to keep himself sane. So, he might find that retiring for real, might have that effect on him again. I know he's apparently retired since then, but that was mainly talk in my opinion.
Fury does need the boxing ring for now but it is a mental battle. As soon as he realises he is not as dependant on the boxing ring as thought he would be able to walk away. He is in mid-30s now therefore even he knows he has not got more than maybe 3 fights left but more likely two.

I'm banking that this fight is going to be in Middle East? the money is there to be make if Arum And Warren can pushed the fight in Saudi Arabia and probably that's what they have done in this fight, I reckon.

What you guys think?
That is not a done deal yet. If the fight does go ahead then it could literally be anywhere because it would sell out any venue. I am not confident it will take place in the Middle East.

If Fury loses a little fat, then this is unlikely to help him compare with Usyk in terms of speed, at least approximately. Usyk has always maintained a good shape, this should be done by every professional. And Fury does not know what he wants, then he decides to end his career (and it is clear that in this case for him hard to find motivation for intensive training), but an athlete must always keep himself in good shape, although we are talking about Fury, he not particularly worried about it.
I have to agree here. Usyk throughout his career has been taking care of himself but most of the time Fury gets in the ring to face an opponent he does look like he trained well and is in a good place because his physique shows it. I doubt Fury, his team or his fans will be worried by the time he gets in the ring.
2135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: January 26, 2023, 02:44:38 AM
I heard he is going to renew his contract with Tottenham, I've never seen a player with such a low winning mentality as Kane, he is almost 30 and all he cares about is his goal scoring records and not trophies, his business with Tottenham is over, his been loyal, now its time to move to a bigger club to win some trophies, it would be a huge disappointment for a player like him to finish his career with only golden boots.
He was promised he could leave then they reneged on their word and forced him to stay at Tottenham. They will never receive a £100m offer for him now but he should leave and try to win trophies and play in the Champions League for a few years before he retires.

@JollyGood to be honest I was puzzled as to why Everton were sticking with him, because he should have been sacked a while ago and I strongly feel that he needs to manage in a less competitive league and then come back to the premier league. Also whoever decides to become the next manager will have a tough task i.e. to prevent Everton from being relegated, and lastly restore the confidence back in Everton player’s.
Maybe they thought he helped them from getting relegated last season and gave him time. I thought they were very generous by allowing him over half the season which was 20 games in the Premier League but a return of just 15 points from a possible 60 is shocking for a club of that stature therefore Lampard had to go, the owners had no choice as they still have a reasonable chance to avoid a real relegation battle.

After your excellent post it leaves just tjtonmoy to come back here and explain what is really going on otherwise some of us will take various things for granted and come to our own conclusions. After all, I am sure he would want to say something after his apology has been locked after he was called out by some people.

So, did anybody actually believe the story he gave?

@tjtonmoy, why didn't you participate with all your alternate accounts? Why were they so modest? Did you run out of potatoes? Or pumpkins?

It certainly seems he did break his own rules however there is still a chance that all this will be cleared up and the OP of that thread will make the payment to the winner or better still he can clarify why he did what he did and then re-run the giveaway but announce beforehand how he intends to select a winner. As long as those things happen he can have credibility but the way it turned out it seems very inappropriate.

Someone suggested earlier this could have been an attempt to get merits and try to build up the account which for $50 would probably be worth it if he could get merits. Having said that, there is a chance this could all be a misunderstanding and could be resolved (but I have reservations).

You are close Smiley

Indeed, OP did not initially announce giveaway rules; he did it later, in the seventh post. Rolling was supposed to take place on Jan 24th. Yesterday (Jan 24th), OP asked how to proceed. A Ponzi promoter (so, obviously, not a trustworthy member) gave him an example of how to choose the winner by using a block's hash. In the given example, the winner was user 5tift. However, that was just an example!

OP did not understand that it was only an example (or simply ignored that) and announced 5tift as winner, although he (OP) broke his giveaway rules. And his giveaway rules were those stated in post #7, respective to have him or a trustworthy user make the rolling.

But, in our case: (1) he did not make any rolling; (2) no trustworthy user made any rolling; (3) there was actually no rolling at all, as what that Ponzi promoter said was just an example of how a rolling works.

Since then I don't know what happened, nor if OP actually paid the money to the fake winner. In any case, he broke his own rules.
2138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: EFL Carabao Cup 2022/23 Season (English Football League) on: January 25, 2023, 07:15:40 PM
The second semi-final being played is tonight:

Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United

I'm very happy for the supporters of Newcastle United because they have waited and gone too long without any trophies to celebrate but now it's looking like that is going to change if they can get to the finals. Leading to Joelington's goal, Isak did really well to skip past the Southampton defenders.  From now on I think he deserves to always start games for Newcastle.

Newcastle United have the advantage going into the second leg and they can surely win to meet the winners between Manchester United and Nottingham forest.  If Newcastle get to the Finals, they have a very good chance of winning it, Newcastle defence has been excellent this season.
There still is a chance Southampton could turn this around and go to the final at Wembley themselves but it will be tough.

@JollyGood Newcastle supporters are probably dreaming about winning the trophy, and to be honest they deserve at least one trophy for the way they have played this season. However they won by a very slim margin, and I hope that their player’s do not get carried away and don’t end up underestimating Southampton in the return leg otherwise they could end up missing playing in the final’s
Newcastle have been dreaming of becoming a big club for a very long time, well they are a big club with a big local support base but they need to win trophies to be taken seriously. Maybe they will start from this cup and go on a winning run. I still think Southampton will make it difficult and could even make it to the final themselves.

Nottingham Forest vs Man Utd tonight.

Obviously Man Utd go in as huge favourites but Forest will fight hard because they might not get a better chance to get to a final. I’ll be rooting for Forest, would be great to see them get to Wembley but I just don’t think it’ll happen unfortunately.
I would not be surprised if Nottingham Forest won tonight but lost heavily in the return leg at Old Trafford. For the neutrals, I am sure they would prefer a Southampton vs Nottingham Forest final.
2139  Other / Archival / Re: Another fake bitcoin giveaway? on: January 25, 2023, 07:00:53 PM
If I have understood this situation correctly, the OP of the $50 giveaway thread (who is a newbie and has almost zero posts in the forum) basically conducted a giveaway even though he did not announce in the OP of the thread how a winner was going to be selected.

Furthermore, a few posts down the line he is asked how a winner will be decided. The OP of that thread decides to roll a wheel and suggests even someone trustworthy could do it but then does not offer the option again and instead simply announces he found the winner by editing the OP of that giveaway thread.

Now it seems many (if not most participants of the giveaway thread) are not happy and want a more transparent way to find a winner. Is that basically the issue?
2140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: EFL Carabao Cup 2022/23 Season (English Football League) on: January 24, 2023, 10:36:35 PM
RESULT:

Southampton 0-1 Newcastle United

The semi-final is played over two legs. The first game ended with Newcastle getting a victory away at Southampton. Newcastle are edging towards their first cup final in many years if they manage to avoid a loss when the two teams meet again in 7 days.

In the second semi-final tomorrow, Nottingham Forest host Manchester United in the first leg of their semi-final.
