2321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 27, 2022, 10:05:37 PM
Why do people do commonly react that whenever a person do make out some vlogs it is already considered for their source of income?
I guess because people are now so used to seeing people earn money from doing vlogs. I think people assumed because he gets views or is popular he'll money from doing it. that being said, I wouldn't be surprised if Casimero actually does earn some money from the vlogs he posts.

anyway, I am looking forward to their fight and hoping no more issues arose that'll postpone their fight again.

The people try to earn many source for the income. The vlogs became the favorite one for the people with some video taking skills.
They also doing the vlogs for the promotion. The fight gonna rock this time as compared to the older game. All the time, the rematch always create the eagers to the fans.

During this pandemic, a lot of people found another source of income via creating vlogs under YT.
It would take time before they can earn from this, like they need to acquire certain number of viewing hours and subscribers.
Before the adsense will be activated. That's what I was hearing from these vloggers.
But no income or not, I think, making these videos like the ones from Casimero will give a glimpse of his life direct from him.
He has his fans, so some would really want to know what's going on with his life. Aside from the fact that it is free advertising.
Talking about the fight, he should prepare well as we have seen the latest fight, Ancajas lost from Martinez. An upset can happen anytime.
2322  Economy / Economics / Re: China says it will trade normally with Russia on: February 27, 2022, 09:46:54 AM
What did you expect? You thought China was going to sanction Russia too? China is about to invade Taiwan and soon they will themselves in a similar situation like Russia. It is natural for China to ignore Russia. China, Russia, Iran block can survive forever even if they don't do any trades with the west but can the west survive without the Russian gas&oil? We will see.

There's no surprise about China's reaction towards this war as they are known to be allies.
And yes, it is true, Russia is just ahead of this invasion. Because China has long been eyeing of this possible Taiwan invasion.
Russia and China are the biggest countries in the world (top 1 & 3, respectively), so high possibility that they can survive on their own.
So even if with this impending cut off in SWIFT with Russia, I believe, Putin already considered this scenario and he has back up plans already.
He wants to go all in in this war, so he knows what he's doing and he's prepared for these possible consequences.
We will see the impact maybe after a month or two after this invasion. Their people will be the most affected on this war crisis.
2323  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|✍️Signature Campaign|🎮Free-to-Play|🔋Rakeback & Recharge bonuses on: February 26, 2022, 10:14:02 PM
You must be a VIP or because you contributed to their growth, but I totally agree that they have evolved nicely and they are keeping up to their promise that they will eventually land in the top 100, not really easy but with continuous development and update they will soon land there but it's going to be a long climb, they still do not have a ranking on Coingecko hopefully this year they will be on the top 1000.

The BFG token was added to the Coingecko site last year. However, it still doesn't rank because the circulating supply is unconfirmed yet. I think Betfury can easy to fix it if they contact the Coingecko team. By the way, if you check other sources, you will see that the market cap of the BFG token is $34 million at the moment. It means that BFG is already in the top 1000.

A normal issue they have not yet been able to resolve by emailing coingicko. If they update the marketcap then it will play a significant role in attracting investors. Because now their marketcap is not correct at the moment which is why investors do not think enough about this project. If the marketcap you are talking about is theirs then I would say they are making a lot of progress in the crypto world.

I believe, it is not the priority of betfury team to update the details on the ranking site.
They are more on marketing and developing their casino itself, which is actually good as getting more players will sustain the operations of the site.
However, later on, if they have time, they can communicate with coingecko and update the cmc, because it says, self-reported circulating supply.
This maybe the reason why both ranking sites can't give their ranking as compared to all the other alts as some of the data are missing.
2324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 25, 2022, 11:48:37 PM

I have nothing to say about how long the process will take, my point is that the judge should be fair.

In the Philippines, it will take forever, especially if the accused has enough money to fight for the case. However, this is not good for him if there's enough evidence to convince him, it's better to settle it the soonest so the problem will not get worst and will not distract his training.

I don't think that Casimero will have the financial to fight this case so that it will be prolong. He is one of those boxers who is also a rag to riches story like Manny is. However, he may have to contact powerful personality to convince the girl to drop the charges in exchange of huge amount of money and they can go on with their lives.

Casimero doesn't need much money or financial needs to handle this case because he is not yet guilty as of now, other than that, I bet that his team would just allow that to happen especially the MP Promotions because Casimero is one of their best boxers. So, if Casimero is convicted that would mean that the MP Promotions have lost one of their cash cow.

This is one of the troubles of having money and fame, I don't know the real score if it is a setup then the victim will demand big money from Casimero, if this issue is ironed up I hope he learns his lesson that he needs a good company or behave so that he will not attract the same scenario again, this kind of issue will hinder his road to greatness.

Wow, that's unexpected turn of events here. If Casimero will surpass this issue, I hope he will learn his lesson fast.
With the #MeToo Movement, some would really fabricate a story to get the sympathy of the public, even if it didn't happen.
Casimero's camp should settle this fast, because if this will go far, his career will be affected.
These days, people should be very careful as the social media can make a small issue a big deal .
2325  Economy / Economics / Re: What economic sanctions will US impose on Russia on: February 25, 2022, 10:51:05 PM
Putin is prepared for it since Russia has its "friend" to trade with in case US and NATO imposed hard sanctions.

.... I still can't figure out why Putin is doing this.
It's hard to understand him if you're used to western ideologies. He's coming from the "protect Russia from destruction" point of view if you read his translated speech. He's fearful that one day the NATO will choke Russia if Ukraine joins the Alliance. Russia already experienced a blockade in one of its sea routes before and Putin doesn't want a possible repeat of that.

Funny how he also calls the US an empire of lies.

I would also like to add that it seems Putin could not get an assurance that Ukraine will remain a neutral country from diplomatic talks which forced him to go for a military solution.

So before the threat that he is thinking of, he wants to eliminate it in the expense of thousands of lives that will be lost.
Ukraine are now in pro-democracy so I don't think what Putin was thinking will happen. He is too paranoid, in my opinion.
Hopefully, we will see fast resolution of this war. But I believe, Ukraine will surrender as they have no resources to fight Russia.
Russia seems to be very prepared on this attack. So high likely, Putin is planning this for years. And no one can stop him as he already started the war.
2326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: February 25, 2022, 10:01:31 PM
Yeah, it's true about a major upgrade. But the players don't have any choice if that certain casino has to do it as it is what they're seeing needed to happen.
Trying something new, with some twists that everyone might be happy about it will certainly going to happen for some casinos. Anyway, it might not happen for most of it.
Those who use the casino as their favourite casino will follow the major update while searching for the other casino that still uses the old way or does not implement the newest technology. But the major update can make them curious to see what is different from the previous so they can stay for a while and see if they like or not. If they do not like it, they will move to the other casinos where they are comfortable playing gambling.
The question is, what is that new technology that they should apply? The most common answer will be VR technology. It's a good and adaptable technology and it can be adopted by most casinos.
But it's true that there will be that won't be ready to adopt it and doesn't see the special thing within it.
And maybe, eventually, there will be more of these casinos that will just ignore it if there's no real demand on it.

The demand will be seen once one of the crypto casinos here will offer this kind of gambling experience.
We know for sure that at first, this will not be cheap. So only few players can afford to play this kind of gaming.
But if there will be demand, and casinos will see this as profitable in the long run, I believe, the price will decrease by time.
For now, gamblers are just grateful that we have crypto casinos now, where they have the option to play with casinos having no kyc requirements.
2327  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance vs Kucoin vs FTX... Which to go with (KYC non issue)? on: February 24, 2022, 11:59:07 PM
My best choice, FTX. Centralized exchanges needs users’ trust and I personally trust Sam Bankman-Fried to not run away with my money if the regulators send them a cease and desist order. However, they appear to be careful on regulations. Also, they are endorsed by Tom Brady, Stephen Curry and David Ortiz hehehe.

Next choice Kucoin.

Last choice Binance. Regulators will create a legal precedent of them for avoiding regulations and avoiding to talk with regulators.

I believe, it depends on the preferences of the trader here.
I can't say much about FTX because I am not a user of this exchange.
However, I am a regular user of binance and kucoin, and so far, I haven't encountered any issues.
And also, in any exchange, you should not store your funds too long for security purposes.
So I think, whichever the user uses here for trading, these 3 are quite trustworthy.
And by the way, if you are a small trader, kucoin has still no kyc with 1 BTC daily withdrawal limit (but they are not licensed to operate in US).
2328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price support above 30000? on: February 24, 2022, 11:22:42 PM
I am thinking the price just falled because of panic and there can be correction.
That's what exactly what has happened. The price has shoot so quick to $38000.
What I am thinking is that even if there is no war, bitcoin price just want to fall. Taking look from the history, bitcoin price is more likely to fall this time.
Likely much.
Even if there's no war, there has been an expected sudden dump in the market because we are just coming from the bull run. Usually, that's how the market for bitcoin goes.
If we've been from the bull run, the next is there's a dump that awaits no matter what's the situation of the world because it's a cycle.

With the tension between Russia and Ukraine, I believe, this scenario will further boost the btc market.
Because people are looking for alternative ways on how to secure their assets or how to send safely their money outside.
And that bitcoin is a very good candidate in this situation. Surpassing the 40k mark would be easy in the next few days.
In my opinion, this is a good opportunity to invest while bitcoin is still in this position.
But don't forget about possible consequences, it may be worst for all we know. So invest what you can afford to lose.
2329  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚡ Bitcarra | The Most Exciting iGaming Platform 🎮 Amazing Bonuses & Rewards 💰 on: February 24, 2022, 10:08:40 PM
Since bitcarra mentioned about the surprise called bitcarra evolution, I wonder what it will be. I am quite curious on what it is. Anyway, I also find it confusing on how the dual crash game work. As what I understand a little bit is that gamblers have to choose which color they want either red, blue, red pairs, blue pairs and tie. There will be a list of the results from previous rounds and new results then you will know which one won. I wonder if bitcarra team will explain how dual crash work or how to play it.

I think that's one thing that bitcarra team can add on their site - FAQ.
Because some people are not familiar with the game, they can give brief explanation/tutorial on how to play dual crash and how it works.
Also, if they have upcoming new games which is not the usual casino games, they can also give quick overview.
So people are not guessing how to play the game and if they are on the right track.
2330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia cut off from Swift is fantastic opportunity for bitcoin on: February 24, 2022, 08:38:51 PM
Russia has been working on legalizing bitcoin for the last couple of weeks.
Which still seems weird to me. Why would a nation, whose regime isn't known for seeking freedom, want to formalize Bitcoin... A currency known for decentralizing the economy. They have full control over their citizens via the banking system, I wonder what are their plans.

I'll hold my breath for this.

I am thinking now that the reason why suddenly Russia changed its position over bitcoin or crypto, was because they were really in position to go to war.
We are seeing that bitcoin is down for the moment, but if the situation between Russia and Ukraine escalates to worse.
I have the feeling that after few weeks, bitcoin will start to gain its momentum as crypto will be a very good option to move money in this time.
I don't think US or EU can stop those crypto transactions as it is decentralized.
So yeah, hold our breath on this but maybe start thinking of accumulating satoshis also while the price is down.  Wink
2331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2022 betting thread on: February 23, 2022, 10:46:42 PM
As far as I can remember this is the gambling subforum. Also, if the sportsbooks did not list the odds for the Oscar awards, no person would be in awe and make them laugh.
Well, this is my first time seeing such betting, so it is. I knew such bets occurs even the simplest competition, or going to happen is capable of being gambled or having bets.

Anyway, by such kind of gambling, this is not like a common in gambling where the victor totally depends on score in the fight or a fair play, judges has lots of influence for the outcome, so this may sound like a fixed match, it could happen or happened before, but who knows.

There are sportsbooks that have the list of odds already for Oscar Awards.
But I don't know if this kind of event really does attract the interest of gamblers.
And it is true, the judges are of great influence with the results.
Some are not confident to place bet because it depends on the mood of those judges.
We don't know their criteria of judging as it evolves thru time, their preferences and whatnot.
2332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: February 22, 2022, 11:49:38 PM
Everyone won't be positive about the market as well as doesn't have the right understanding about the market. It is always a must to have close observation over the market, only then it is possible to maintain the portfolio without much of variation happening with the market change. Users who are professionally connected with cryptocurrency find every market move as a way to earn.

These days the panic among the common public relative to cryptocurrency investment have decreased a lot, because people have learned better about the real market than assumptions.

Some people are paranoid with the market if they used their hard-earned savings to invest in this market.
This is why, small change or dump, they are quite agitated because they are worried about their money.
One way to prepare in this market, is just use funds that you can very well afford to lose.
It is the usual piece of advise but people don't learn their lessons. They need to suffer big losses before they wake up to reality.
2333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin evangelist Michael Saylor says crypto regulations would speed adoption on: February 22, 2022, 11:06:17 PM
Regulation will keep the people on safer zone unlike the market. The adoption of bitcoin over the years have gradually increased. This increase happened as a result of more countries showing positive signs of regulating the usage of bitcoin. Even now there are people around the world who feel bitcoin is developed for the purpose of illegal activities and gambling needs. This happens because many countries don't disclose the decision of whether cryptocurrency is legalized or not.

With the regulation, it comes with better perception towards crypto.
Because up until today, many people who are not well-informed about crypto are still thinking about its negative aspect.
Like being used in money laundering, scamming and other illegal activities.
If their government will have regulations towards the usage of crypto, they may change their mindset and trust its existence.
So yes, I am fine with regulation because it will further boost adoption. But as a crypto user, you can also reserve some privacy on your own.
2334  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.io on: February 22, 2022, 09:56:23 PM
I don't use their platform but if you're having difficulties getting in touch with the support,  I would suggest reaching out to their representative on the forums, he's very responsive: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=148073

OP should better contact in PM the provided account above as he is recently online.
Also, you can give this link to him but you need to be more specific with your problem as your statement is quite vague.
But usually, it is about their AML/KYC policies. It has been 3 months and you are just asking this now.
If you feel you are not violating any of their terms, better follow-up your case diligently.
2335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥶 Winter Beijin 2022 🥶 Discussion and bet thread 🥶 Winter Game 🥶 on: February 21, 2022, 09:59:28 PM
In terms of medals, I don't think there were any big surprises, naturally Norway was the country that took home the most gold medals.

These olympic games were marked by several positive and some negative things.

Negatives, there were several scandals that involved some athletes and competitions.
Possibly, the games went better than many expected, with several records to be broken and a very positive and encouraging spirit of sportsmanship.

Another interesting thing was that the minimum age for participation began to be raised, something that until now had never been called into question, at least not with such prominence. I think that in the next Olympic Games, we will not have as many young athletes, as we have seen in recent years. Whether in winter games or summer games.

I have to agree with the minimum age for participation in Olympics.
This will lessen the exploitation among very young athletes.
I believe, one of the inspirations to raise the minimum age of participation to 17 from 15, is the Russian skater Valieva.

https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/18/sports/olympics/olympics-skating-valieva-age.html

The audience saw it live how she struggled and how the team reacted on her.
If the team would have been more warm on her, her frustrations would have been not too heavy to carry on her own.
Though we don't know what's happening behind the curtain, as we are only judging what's seen on live tv.
2336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When your freedom is taken, bitcoin and crypto is the solution! on: February 21, 2022, 09:41:39 PM
I am not siding with the anti-vaxxers since their stupidity is affecting so many people in a negative way, but I do feel that Trudeau went too far by invoking this particular order.

The truckers need to end their protests asap since they could get screwed if they continue protesting in this manner.

Also, BTC and other cryptocurrencies could help these people as long as they use decentralised exchanges, platforms etc since they wouldn't have to deal with KYC which would help them avoid government surveillance.

The protest is just going to affect the country, it looks like the truckers are willing to crash the economy of the country down while challenging the government. Seem very extreme that Trudeau already sees them as terrorists. It's not good anymore if they just look at it as a whole, it damages everyone.

Meanwhile, Gofundme accelerates the adoption of BTC when they blocked the funds for the trucker's campaign. Any organization now knows, gofundme couldn't be trusted and they'd have to use crypto.

The government and the protesters should sit and talk about the probable solution for this situation.
Because this will indeed affect their economy, and inflation is very imminent.
The use of bitcoin is now being highlighted as part of anonymous donation programs.
GoFundMe platform can remove this crowdfunding campaign as they said it is violating their ToS.
But that's fine, in reality, these truckers can receive bitcoin donations without the need of third party.
However, I just want this situation to be resolved as there are other people who are affected by this movement.
2337  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Crash in The Next 2 Weeks? on: February 21, 2022, 09:11:42 PM
Someone wrote this on Twitter, how true is it?

Quote
Biden's regulation will knock it out the next 2 weeks. Stock Market crash will intensify the pain in March. After that, I'll buy.
Nobody really knows, although the price is is experiencing another downside on the last couple o days. I saw it went as low as $37k, but now recovering to $38k.

And if it the news has negative effect on the market so be it, we've seen bitcoin crashes before, but it's not the end of the world. Bitcoin is so resilient that it has the capacity to bounce back, (and thanks to it's speculators and traders and investors).

And if that happens, many are waiting to get a hold of bitcoin.
So for me, there's nothing to be worried about. How many times have we read negative news?
And yet, bitcoin bounces back again and again. This is not the end of the world as you said.
There were many negative news before like China banning crypto miners (I consider it significant because the percentage of miners in China was big),
but we have seen, the effect is just temporary. It didn't wipe out the existence of bitcoin.
So crash or not, it is your own strategy on how to take advantage the market at that point.
2338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to calculate Gross gaming revenue for online casino on: February 21, 2022, 08:29:39 PM
Recently, I checked out some key point indicators in the online casino. First, I thought some game providers get their share via percentage of spin a player makes but, today after a brief research I found the formula for Gross gaming revenue used to determine how game providers earn from the activities of players.

This is absolutely meaningless as it misses so many factors. Tax isn't the only thing that needs to be deducted out of profits - there are huge company operations, staffing costs and advertising outgoings to consider, which will strip out a lot of the remaining amount. You've basically presented a simple mathematical formula and write it as if you've solved some unknown ancient mystery. What about all the freebies that these casinos give away? What about the DDOS protection that they have to pay huge amounts for when under attack? Where does the money come from for customer support representatives who might be answering questions to unprofitable players? If you really want to look at how these sort of company operations run then you need to start downloading the annual accounts from fiat currency gambling operations, where you will see a true profit and loss calculation.

Yes, he did miss the operational cost in the formula.
But maybe, he just wants to share what he found from one of his sources.
Just to give a basic idea on how GGR or NGR is calculated.
We know, that formula is only a rough estimate to evaluate the GGR of a casino.
At least have an insight on how much a casino is getting as a revenue.
If they can afford to give freebies, it means, they are still on the positive side.
But if the casino is stingy, they maybe, are just in the survival mode.
2339  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fun Stats about Bitcoin Casinos | Infographic on: February 21, 2022, 06:11:18 PM

Are you also surprised to learn the casino you kept playing since 2016 is not a licensed casino?
I have not experienced any hassle from them though.

Great job to OP. I'd like to see some for inforgraphics to some other companies built since the time BTC started.
Stats of exchanges or something like stats of fiat base casino that also started accepting crypto.

Are you talking about freebitco here? Because that's one of the first gambling sites that I've played also.
I believe, freebitco earned their credibility by time. And they don't find a need to acquire gaming license up until now.
And yet, many players are still going to this site, getting free satoshis, playing WoF, joining the Lambo contest and many others.
This infographic also established the use case of crypto in the gambling industry as this industry is one of the pioneering applications of crypto.
2340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun alone? how true? on: February 21, 2022, 05:19:37 PM
Losing money is not fun at all, no doubt about it but that's not what is meant by "gambling for fun". People gambling for fun does not mean that they are looking for fun only, they want to make money for sure but they are also enjoying the game and losing some money will not affect their life.

This is true for gamblers who only used extra money for gambling.
Because you can have fun during the game if you are not worried about the money involved.
Even if you lose, that's fine. As long as you got the thrills and excitement while playing.
But if you are using a loaned money, without a doubt, you are not in anyway gambling for fun but to make money.
in the case of playing with your extra money, there's of course a hope that you want to earn more.
If not, that's fine. That's gambling. But you enjoy the game without worries of returning the money back.
