i think he will release a new version, but that update will contain support for Vega cards.
2322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.7 on: August 27, 2017, 01:53:31 PM

lol. yeah 1366 core and 2100mem is really nice 470s...
I never went above 1180MHz on my polarises, nor above 930mv... and I just wouldn't run it on 1.13V, but hey it's yours:)

this card has def clocks 1260/2000 so i don't think that +100mhs is much Smiley
Anyways, not running it at those speeds, that was just for fun.

make sure you unlock bonus shaders on 460 cards Cheesy
2324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.7 on: August 27, 2017, 11:55:38 AM
you guys are not reading. read everything again from the top of this page lol.

It can do close to 900h/s when using the correct timings/clocks.
That means custom timings edited for XMR, not ETH.

And yes, wolf can do >900h/s, i remember he posted an image somewhere.

My personal record is 920h/s on 470 8gb.

2325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.7 on: August 27, 2017, 11:31:28 AM
with eth bios and clocks (that means lower gpu clock) i get 780-790 h/s @ 90w from wall with 470 4gb.
So you guys are obviously doing something wrong.

Are these numbers from wolf's miner on Ubuntu? "eth bios and clocks" that makes no sense? My RX460 is running at stock speeds, the clock settings in the conf file do nothing.

edit:
Claymore's miner doesn't run under wine, he hasn't provided Linux binaries and my windows computer main board pcie slots are currently fried so I've got no way to currently test his miner. If I recall I think I got 416 H/s but it was this testing that got my windows mainboard fried when I plugged in an extra long HD7970 and the DVI pinout touched the metal case.

sgminer, windows and 470, not 460.

It can do close to 900h/s when using the correct timings/clocks.
And by "eth bios and clocks" i mean using a bios that has timings and gpu/mem clocks adjusted for ETH mining, not for XMR.

Quick question on what I'm looking at.

When the miner starts to mine, what does the time on the far right of every update mean?

If it says Time: 00:10 does that mean 10 seconds pass or minutes pass?

I think that it really needs that sweepstake option fixed, i mean the one that was the initial idea and had to be turned off to gain stability in network.
If that ever gets fixed i am sure a lot of people will find this coin very interesting.
And yeah, lightning fast transactions are great Grin

every coin is a good coin if people see something useful in it.
Of course lot's of pump/dump happens on every coin, but only coins that really offer something can survive.

Can someone just post a clear How To for undervolting a 5xx card with these drivers in Win 10?

I can get them undervolted in Wattman but one reboot and its lost. Need bios undervolt instructions or some clear method. I read one guy was successful with Aug 11 drivers and Trixx.

there is no universal fix for this, something that works with one card, may not work with an other.
So if you read this thread from page 1, and try out everything that is written, i  am sure you will succeed in undervolting with these blockchain fix drivers.
2331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Does the RX 470 still have a future? on: August 27, 2017, 07:51:38 AM
blablabla, 2018 POS, so no problem for 4gb cards.

Interesting project, maybe i'll buy a few of these.

or he is using these shitty blockchain fix drivers, and that's his problem, not the bios editor.
2334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBPolaris V3 - BIOS editor for RX4XX and RX5XX cards on: August 26, 2017, 03:56:51 PM
i bought this one with my own cash, but the house, pool and ferrari is from the donations.
They just don't stop coming.

i know absolutely nothing about nvidia, sorry.
Just recently bought a 1060  Roll Eyes
2336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBPolaris V3 - BIOS editor for RX4XX and RX5XX cards on: August 26, 2017, 07:45:01 AM
but then again, are those edited bioses working after flashing with a programmator?
I mean, some checksum in the bios itself has to be fixed too, no ?

Can someone confirm that watt tool 0.92 does not and cannot change voltages on the latest driver?

RX480+4xRX470 Work fine with the driver from 23.08

lol, yes works fine, except everything is 0 in wattool Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Look to the "Voltage offset" box

works only with cards that have the vddc offset added in to the voi, and that is a small percent of cards, you can believe me.
2338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBPolaris V3 - BIOS editor for RX4XX and RX5XX cards on: August 25, 2017, 08:07:01 PM
Hi All,

I have 12 * Saphire RX570 Nitro+ 8GB OC cards split across 2 rigs running Linux and have copied the memory straps, amended the default core and gpu speeds and so the first part is fine as the cards are giving me an average of 24.8Mhs using the config 1281/2150.

However, when it comes to undervolting, I've tried using SRBPolaris to do this by setting the voltage at 850 however after saving the rom and flashing, after a reboot of windows the card is still drawing 147w.  If I then manually undervolt in Trixx by -150 then the draw comes down to 114w which is much more acceptable.

As my rigs are running Linux I need to undervolt via bios mods hence the plea for help as I'm obviously doing something wrong, I just don't know what.

I've read lots of references to having to HEX edit the bios to do this, if this is the only option, can someone point me to an article that will educate me in how to do this (safely) as I thought that either PBE or SRBPolaris were writing the necessary changes to the .rom file and therefore not clear on what the HEX editing will do that these utils are not?

Apologies for the noob questions, this is my first setup and am very eager to learn!

Cheers

i get a % from this if he hires you, cause it's all happening in my thread, so my rules apply  Grin Grin

i like reading everyone complaining how these drivers don't work for them, and there are my rigs hashing at full speed with these drivers for about 3 weeks now.  Grin
