2361  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Citizen Finance [CIFI] - Scammed Bounty Hunters on: February 14, 2022, 08:34:47 PM
If I may ask, is your team [Bounty Portals] been paid for your service?
Because from your post, it seems only bounty hunters are not yet fully paid.
And when I checked their CMC data, their token is only traded at pancakeswap with small trading volume.
Maybe, this is the reason why they are hesitant to pay the bounty.
But as per agreement, they should really pay even if their token is not doing good in the market.
2362  Economy / Economics / Re: What's your opinion of the insurance industry? on: February 14, 2022, 07:39:01 PM
I have a car that is registered with one of the insurance companies in my city but I can't claim the damage due to unreasonable reasons from them. Since that I have become more and more convinced that insurance companies are just a soft-scam, they promise claims will be easy, but in fact they make it difficult. btw, DAO concept is very good, if there is DAO based insurance then I will definitely join in.

This is the usual problem of the insurance buyer. These agents will promise anything just to sell a policy.
But when it comes to claiming, as much as possible they will find loopholes not to pay.
So instead of peace of mind, you will get a headache for not getting what is owed to you.
However, I haven't seen a successful blockchain insurance company dealing with car insurance or even the comprehensive health insurance.
This should address the transparency as you will see all your transactions via blockchain.
I think, if there will be this kind of blockchain tech insurance company within your locality, people may patronize it.

On the other hand, the OP has not returned yet on this thread. So I am assuming he is not successful with his attempt on this industry?
2363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 14, 2022, 06:29:47 PM
Garcia is younger and his career is being hyped by Goldenboy, it wouldn't be surprising that he is matched to an old boxer that seem willing to lose. Just my hunch though. But this Emmanuel though I have no idea who he is looks very experience.

I'll still be rooting for Garcia. This match is designed to make Garcia look promising.

Oscar De La Hoya of the Golden Boy Promotions is the brain behind Garcia's fights, making him as a functional cash cow. This fight though is just an interim while Oscar negotiates Lou DiBella (G. Kambosos Jr's promoter) in the meantime given that Garcia will defeat Tagoe first.

Emmanuel (33 years old) is much more experienced than Garcia though with 33 bouts and 15 of that via KO, so yeah much more lower KO rate than Garcia and unfortunately the latter will just be a stepping stone to the rising star.

As someone who has watched fights of Ryan Garcia on the ring, his explosiveness, accuracy, and long-reach is what makes him an exceptional fighter. Like what you have mentioned, De La Hoya is somehow making Garcia the next 'golden boy' on the ring as he is being promoted every time he fights.

According to boxrec, Emmanuel Tagoe is definitely an experienced fighter on the ring. With 32W (15KOs) and only 1 loss, he is someone that cannot be taken lightly, even if you are Ryan Garcia. Though experience would be key in this match, I do have my bet to Ryan Garcia primarily due to the fact that his punches are more explosive.

What would be interesting here is that if in case, for the surprise of the spectator fans, Tagoe will pull an upset.
Because we can never be sure about their performance inside the ring, right?
Unless, there is prior arrangement between the two camps, which is not known to public.
Though I am rooting for Garcia here, he should really make sure he is prepared for this fight.
2364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto stuck in sports betting site, now they want KYC on: February 14, 2022, 01:00:59 PM
Well, I believe my recommendation is to give it a shot or to contact customer service.
I would refrain giving it a try. If he do something like what he's planning and the casino finds it out then there's more trouble to his money. It's better for him to talk seriously with the customer service and be outright on what has happened.
Things can be done peacefully if it's being made through talks and I think that the casino will spare him as it is his fund and didn't came from nowhere. There's a chance that he'll be given consideration.

The chance of getting the funds back with sincere talks with the customer rep is better if the site is a known reputable casino here.
But if not, high likely that the site will freeze his funds because he is using the site from prohibited countries.
The OP should also check the terms of the site regarding the use of VPN on the casino.
If the site is allowing VPN, then he has good hope to get the funds back even using his own credentials.
Because the problem with asking from a friend is that, it will suddenly give a different IP, which is very different from his previous recorded IPs.
Which will give the site more suspicion about his account. So for me, it is better to talk with the site about the real status of his account.
2365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: February 13, 2022, 11:59:37 PM
Mike Tyson have clearly stated "That is the match for money". Being a social media star these people have got millions of people to watch them. This will do anything for money and that is why they don't getting beat. There isn't any official agreement being made on this exhibition match. Everything is word of mouth and using the same Logan Paul is making money. This is completely a scam and no doubt in it. Here we can't blame the powerful Mike Tyson.
Not a scam but just sort of scripted match if it happens. But let this sink that upon seeing the news that have been discussed that this fight is going nowhere.

--> https://www.forbes.com/sites/marisadellatto/2022/01/17/no-mike-tyson-is-not-fighting-jake-paul-representative-says/

That can clear every speculation that everyone has for this match. Many are wanting that to happen and beat Paul but the rep said neither of the brothers will get a match with Mike Tyson.

So after long discussion about this match, it will not happen after all.  Grin
So if the above article is true, then, there's no more reason to make this long.
Or maybe, they are still waiting to create further hype because if they are about to generate huge amount of money, Tyson may change his mind.
This will be his retirement funds even if he has the money already. But it won't hurt his reputation if he goes one more time inside the ring via exhibition match.
2366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 13, 2022, 11:20:31 PM

yeah, it could be that he just loves to bet for his favorite team. but seeing how high rollers gamble on gambling sites, I don't think him betting that much money equals being "too confident on who is going to win", for all we know that is how he normally bet on sports betting.

Drake has a history of betting huge amounts of money and he is also losing a lot of bets in the past, it's pretty normal for him, we all know that excessive gambling can become a downfall of these celebrities who are very much into gambling, the income can stop but their addiction to betting will not, he can still sustain it because he can still make a lot of money but if he is not a celebrity crowd drawer no more he'll regret all the money he loses from gambling.

I also believe that he may have won that amount, but of course, he will not post his losses.
I don't think stake has something to do with his post, if he is a regular player on the site, sometimes it is just normal for them to post something like that.
But if stake knows about Drake being their regular patron, they may reach him for potential collaboration. Who knows?
Other celebrities who are into gambling may follow where he is betting, as they are now confident that stake can handle such amount.
2367  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 BetFury.io|⭕️BFG in a Squid NFT World on Biswap⭕️|🏰New in-house game Tower on: February 13, 2022, 10:08:06 PM

After hitting in Keno I moved to Plinko I played about 30 minutes unfortunately didn't manage to hit anything big only hit a few times x23 my balance is drained again
Ah Tower games, I will try this game too in the next hour my wheel will be active, how many Devilkins have you activated?
tower games I think are quite good but it seems you have to cool your head first friend because indeed when you lose I think we will be more obsessed even though it's something wrong, you have to stop for a moment to cool your head.
Tower games can be lucrative to play but for now I prefer circles and you should try that too I think to release the tension

This is good advice if he wagers real crypto. However, if he just wagers Funfury, he doesn't need to worry about losing because these tokens expire after 24 hours anyway. Regarding the Tower game, it is good with only one devilkin. I tried to play this game with 4 devilkins, but it seems unprofitable even if you want to reach only the second row.

That's right, because it's a competition and it's free there's nothing to worry about, I can try different strategies to find the right formula unfortunately nothing is right
The problem is because the initial balance is only 5k-10k Funfury when I try a new strategy the balance will run out even though the experiment is not finished  Roll Eyes
The only way I have to double my starting balance before trying a new strategy it's just that so far it hasn't worked.

As the competition is still ongoing and resets everyday, we can always participate and try our luck.
But that is, if you do have enough time because it will really eat a lot of your time even if you put it in autobet.
For those who consistently entering the top 10, in time, they will be out so that's the chance of getting in. Tongue
But you will really see that betfury earned a lot of their patrons and they are playing even with $100 daily competition.
2368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction: Low was $34K or will be ~$25K on: February 12, 2022, 11:59:13 PM
Even though the bitcoin price has fallen nearly 5% over the past two days from the $45k resistance level, the bitcoin price is not going down to the $34k price level again. I expect the current decline as a move for significant gains over the next few weeks.
there is no guarantee this price drop will be a big profit in the next week as the bear market is not showing any signs of ending. the possibility of bitcoin price reaching a lower point in the next few weeks is still very wide open.

I have the feeling that we can sustain the $40k level but of course, everything is possible to happen in this market.
We should wait what news are coming in as this may possibly affect where will be heading at.
With the rise of NFT and P2E gaming platforms, I think, they can contribute to further increase of  crypto adoption.
Gaming world is a very big one. With the penetration of blockchain gaming into this industry, I am sure, there will be significant impact in crypto market.
But in case, btc will fall down below 35k, why take this opportunity to buy more.
2369  Economy / Economics / Re: MENTAL HEALTH ANG WELLBEING on: February 12, 2022, 11:36:25 PM

It wouldnt be directly to happen but at least we are really seeing some progress that it is really lessening and we've been hoping until the day comes that we would really be going back into
our normal lives again which wont really be relying with face mask and face shield. It is true that most people now are vaccinated which it is less likely that this virus would really mutate once
again into some other variant which hopefully it wont happen because we would really be going back to the start if it do happens.

I believe scientists are already looking into possible mutations of other variants.
Because they have seen that this covid-19 virus has mutated to other variant like omicron.
With our evolving technology today, I strongly believe that they will find ways how to address this problem of humanity.
This covid virus will soon be endemic to the global scale. And hoping that we will slowly gain our lives back to normal.
But wearing face mask, I think, will just be a part of our normal day to day life. It may soon not be compulsory but people will wear it for the sake of safety precautions.
2370  Economy / Economics / Re: Sustainability in Bitcoin Renewable Energy on: February 12, 2022, 10:37:01 PM
This is a very fine project. What I am afraid of is the cost implications of the project. If the cost of developing a technology that will trap the energy generated by Bitcoin to a renewable energy is higher than the cost to generate the energy, I think the project will not be sustainable.
It is a good thing that bitcoin mining farms should begin to chase green energy so that bitcoin will not be falling into the trap of governments.

Normally, you will incur high cost at the beginning of the installation of the equipment needed.
But in the long run, you won't shell out much money unless, there are some parts that need to be regularly changed or replaced.
So calculate of the possible ROI of the set-up, how many months or years do you need to run before you can get even with your investments?
If you think it is worth your effort, then do it. Renewable energy is our future to address one of the global concerns, which is climate change.
Maybe, as a miner, this initiative is one way to help this global problem. We should look for alternative ways not to contribute any more problem to the environment.
2371  Economy / Gambling / Re: SandboxCasino.io サンドボックス It's Simple: Fun and Fair. on: February 12, 2022, 09:29:29 PM
-snip-

Yes, exactly. If players are not that observant enough or have just mindless or wrongfully have clicked without second thoughts they could be trapped in such bonus offer. Maybe we could give it a rest for the mean time since they are just new, but they must improve this right away. Thank you for attaching this screenshot btw, @udidrone.

Since the website is new, there must be many issues on that website. Over time, if the team wants, those issues will be resolved. Everyone should be careful when using any website and if it is a new website then they should be more careful.
They may need some more time to resolve all their issues. Any decision should be made after reviewing their activities.

Now it looks better some problems have been solved except the promotion banner which has not worked maybe in the next few days it will be resolved because the admin is actively responding to all suggestions. By the way regarding the 400% deposit bonus has anyone completed the requirements? I don't see anyone posting their experiences or is there really no user here who claims it?

As a player, we should be responsible on checking out the attached conditions to every offered reward or bonus.
Some people are being trapped because they failed to inquire the requirements as they got too excited about the high percentage of bonus.
And then, they will complain if they can't withdraw their winnings, where in fact, they haven't completed yet the requirements.
As the OP is active here, for those players who are still in doubt with something, I think, we can always ask and clarify things before playing.
2372  Economy / Economics / Re: Impact of Bitfinex hack on the economy on: February 11, 2022, 11:55:00 PM
$3.5 billion recovered out of the stolen $4.5 billion by
the couple: Heather Morgan and Ilya Lichtenstein after a thorough investigations, they were arrested by the US department of Justice for being the masterminds behind the hack of Bitfinex exchange in 2016 claiming about $4.5 biliion
Not sure how i missed this news, a couple behind the hack, looks like a bond movie. So what about the $1 billion, they stashed it somewhere and usually in situations like a major hack or a major theft they usually do not recover everything and a major portion will be missing, so these hackers will get hold of the money once they get our of the jail.

What impact do you think this will have on bitcoin price if the total seizure were back into circulation?
Usually they would return to the exchange and it is not going to be in circulation all of a sudden, if not they usually auction off these. I do not see any major changes to the price because of this.

We will not see the impact in the market as long as the government is holding it.
Usually, they put it in auction after years of holding, because there will be investigations and documentations that will be done first.
And as we have observed, even after the auction, the price comes back to normal.
For me, we don't have to worry about this because it may not happen anytime soon and won't be a determining factor of the btc fate in the market.
2373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Agrarian - For Farmers, Fisherman and Foresters on: February 11, 2022, 11:25:47 PM
@OP, if you want to reach out those people in the agriculture industry, you may want to set-up a decent official website.
Not many regular farmers or fisherman understand about the use of github.
I am not in any way discriminating them, but you should look at the perspective of a regular user not as a crypto user.
The aim is good but don't know how serious this project is to accommodate this important group in the community.
Usually, it is just a front to attract users but most of the time they will forget this mission once they are being traded.
2374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 11, 2022, 10:58:22 PM
Jerwin Ancajas is the next Manny Pacquiao, very classy and definitely one of the best Filipino boxer out there.
We must not try to put such a pressure upon any boxer, there was only one Manny Pacquiao, there have been many great boxers before Manny and there will be a lot of great ones after him, but each one of them will create their own story, if we place such high expectations over someone then most likely they will fail, whether because they will fail to live up to that image or because they will become conceited on their skill and they will not reach their full potential as they believe the are great already.

They can always make their own name in the boxing ring. There's no need to chase the record of Pacquiao.
If they will do their best and create a dent in the boxing history, that's more than enough to be proud of.
They have their own time to shine. So long they are doing their part as a boxer - training hard and aim for the best.
That would be more than enough in my opinion. They can always aim high for themselves though.
2375  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: February 11, 2022, 10:02:44 PM
There are still some weaknesses in the gambling sites, but what can be done about them? There is a lot of talk about cheating and arbitrage betting. Perhaps rightly so, but what can be done about it? That hassle with table tennis and cams, that does not make sites happy. And then with corona you also had a lot of competitions that were manipulated by the bookies. There are too many matches to monitor all of that in time.

These are rather inane questions. One of two things is going to happen to sites that have a vulnerability like the examples given. Either they will have measures in place to limit the damage and eventually be able to identify the bug, as we saw with the hacker who was kind enough to disclose a glitch. The other possibility is that the staff fail to identify that they have a losing edge against a player, if the automate withdrawals then it's very possible they'll be wiped out before there is any chance to figure it out. These are very profitable businesses when done correctly, so when you see dead sites then you know they probably lost a fair chunk of money and gave up.
Good gambling site always have a backup plan and if there’s a problem between the players and the site, I’m sure they can handle this one. I didn’t hear any news about the hacking incidents on any gambling site, I might not aware of any news but for me they are really secured, I’m talking about the top gambling site. If you see any anomaly or issues about the site, ask them first and if they didn’t coordinate you can always start your accusation thread and warn other people.

Their security protocol should always be topnotch because there are some gamblers that will really exploit the vulnerability of the site.
So if their system got a hit of possible unusual activity, they should check that out immediately, before that player siphoned all their bankroll.
But there are still some honest players that will report the bugs encountered, but the site should not rely on those honest players.
Because most of the time, the player will take that opportunity as most are playing anonymous when it comes to crypto casinos.
2376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: February 10, 2022, 11:59:14 PM
I personally don't believe in this metaverse thing and think that its overrated. I don't know may I'm bad at understanding this but there will no casino in mataverse which will boom suddenly because its not interesting and enjoyable for me and the majority of my friends.
At the beginning, you're actually right.

But with the shift of the popularity of the metaverse. We'll never know how the market is going to welcome that. But if it's related to cryptocurrencies and with the gamblers new choice of setting.

It's very likely that many are going to start liking it. As of now, we can't see how good it will be but time will come and it's like the judgment day if people are really into it or not.
^ It is too early to predict that thing though it becomes a hot topic now about the metaverse and the cryptocurrency which is I have doubt that it will boom when there is someone successfully launch their project. For now, I think they are still developing on it and no one is impressed yet who knows next year or this year this metaverse will become a trend in the market with different industries including this gambling industry which is already adopting metaverse and cryptocurrency.

If there's a hype, people will look into it.
But if there's not much interest into this trend, it will easily die down.
However, I am seeing that metaverse will gain its popularity because big gaming companies are already exploring this concept.
Just look at the list of companies that are now into this metaverse thing - FB, Epic Games, Nvidia, Microsoft, Apple - just to name a few.

https://www.xrtoday.com/virtual-reality/who-is-building-the-metaverse-a-group-of-160-companies-and-you/

So I am on the side that this metaverse thing will hit it off in the market because giant companies are already exploiting it.
2377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 10, 2022, 11:22:21 PM

For this matchup, I will favor brook and bet him as a winning bet cause I know he can win even if it's knocked out or by a unanimous decision anyways we all know that khan has a title too and I think that he will not be lazy to practice harder to sustain his stamina to last round and I think he can do that cause he is a great boxer too. And being a titleholder is not just easy so I think that he deserves what they got but in this case, his opponent had a title too so it's getting hard and intense.
what happens is that khan is quite a good fighter but with a very notable vulnerability having such a weak chin it is obvious that most of the blows will go there for me that will be brook's inflatable strategy however when evaluating all the statistics that I have seen on different pages, in sports forums, in some enthusiasts, favoring Brook, although there is nothing written, do I think that the element of surprise is also possible in this fight? Or perhaps it is unreasonable to think that Khan has training at another level and can deliver a result that not everyone expects.

That's more interesting, how Khan adjusts and bring surprise to his fans. Even his weakness has been exposed to how he will manage to protect that part and continue to fight back with another set of strategy. Both fighters are good from their prime and yes, the chance to win is still owned by both of them. The hunger to reclaim some good hype to their name is the one who will shine in this fight. The winner will have another chance to move up and ask for a good money fight. Roll Eyes Wink

If he will find a strategy to protect his exposed weakness, that is for us to see in this fight.
Because he very well know that boxing fans, opponents knew this weakness.
We can't be too confident because Khan was also a titleholder before, so we can't disregard his boxing skills.
Maybe good to bet on him, as he may be aiming for the last hurrah in the boxing ring.
2378  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitex.financial -- SCAM or TRUSTWORTHY ? on: February 10, 2022, 11:02:21 PM
Because they said i have 3.65 BTC there, but i must put some (little) cash to reach it....
Any service asking you make a deposit to be able to make a withdrawal is 99.99% scam.

I might probably believe it if they ask for Identification but I'll also doubt it even if they ask for identification.
Why should you believe them if they ask for identification?
If they ask you to verify your identity, it would even increase the risk of using their service. There's a big probability that they abuse your documents or sell them.

If the OP has never dealt with this site, then, he should know that this is a typical scam tactic.
There's no doubt  they are just looking for some naive users that will fall to their bait.
I checked the trustpilot, no reviews or feedback. We have seen this scamming technique countless times.
If he deposits any amount, he will not get it back. So better not entertain these scammers.
2379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Worst exchange you experience for trading on: February 09, 2022, 11:27:50 PM
till date I have not been stuck on a scam exchange platform. However, a bad trading history has also happened to me some time ago. because of an urgent need I had to be willing to lose my money on the altcoin I invested which at that time was already down 40% from the first price I bought. So I take the principle of investing how much you can afford to lose.

Great to hear that you haven't scammed yet by one of these trading platforms.
Bad trading is normal to experience as I am certain, most traders experienced the same.
If you are trading only to reputable exchanges, then, you will not likely to encounter being screwed.
But if you try these small exchanges with very low liquidity, high chance that you won't get your funds out.
Lesson - if the exchange has shady reviews and unresolved problems, better not try them.
2380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your Expectation About Polygon (MATIC) Token for 2022 on: February 09, 2022, 10:45:14 PM
Polygon is an interesting altcoin that has a blockchain of its own. Many altcoins are using their blockchain to transact their coins due to how cheap and fast their transactions cost.
My future predictions for polygon this year is that it will skyrocket to $4 before the end of the year. Invest now if you deemed right but don't forget to always invest with your spare money when investing in crypto.

$4 is a very achievable price for me, rather than aiming for $100 or more.
As the usage of MATIC network grows, and so is their value in the market.
If crappy coins can increase, why not MATIC with real usage among crypto users can increase?
So in my opinion, MATIC can compete with other networks as long as they are continuously improving their services.
Because if their development stops, they can easily be left behind by new networks.
