There is indeed a reason for this thinking , the usual claim the more demand is created with less supply , but that wasn't the case of rising price in any case.

Take a look at coins that have almost finished mining , supply is at is lowest yet they fail on launching to the moon.

Just switching to pos won't help that much any coin right now. There are loss of clones flooding the market so this one has to have something special to get out of the pack.

I f you look at the volume page you can see that in bc case the pair bc/ltc is counted but not added to the colume on ltc side.
The same for bitcoin where only btc/ fiat is counted and the 1.8 mil from bc/btc is missing.

The volume is down for cryptsy right now but they have shown being able to support the volume doge alone had at almost 10 000 btc.
In case of a huge spike in volume and most importantly in number of transactions i trust them more than mintpal.

The only positive thing will be when all those fake Chinese exchanges will stop all their trading.
Probably then and only then we will find out the real price people are willing to pay for btc.
