2541  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex verification for withdraw on: February 28, 2018, 05:04:14 AM
As title says I am in need of some advice, I have around 900usd in bittrex that I would like to withdraw, but I do not want to send them my personal information for verification. I am willing to pay for assistance in this matter except obvious scams like "give me the account details I will verify and send you 90% etc." Any and all help will be appreciated

Unfortunately, if you thought that you were able to withdraw funds from your bittrex account without being verified, you can't.

Even if you were previously able to do it, since you had a legacy account, it should be noted that bittrex has basically revoked every legacy account and made them so that they are the same account level as a brand new one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=463202.msg25128763#msg25128763.

This actually happened last year.

You can't just say i'll get 90% of my funds withdrawn for no verification. Doesn't work like that unfortunately.

Actually this is mistake of bittrex, they should first announce that news and allow users who don't want to verify their identity to withdraw their funds like in poloniex. Bittrex is bad exchange.

Poloniex doesn't tell you explicitly either. But yes they should both tell you first, on your deposit screen, that you will not be able to withdraw until you verify your account.
2542  Economy / Exchanges / Re: \\\ANONYMOUS AND LIMITLESS EXCHANGES AVAILABLE/// on: February 28, 2018, 04:55:05 AM
I remember that you guys were partnering with Bitcoin Gold, right?

Do you guys work with the spot rate of the coins, or do you actually just give the customers what you get from the proceeds of selling the coins? I think a lot of big traders wants to know this because if there is a large sell order it's probably going to crash the market resulting in a lower amount of BTC compared to the spot rate that was initially calculated.

Also, how do you guarantee that you won't have any issues with exchanges? If you do have issues with exchanges, will you guarantee to release funds to the user within a set amount of time or will he/she have to wait until the exchanges clears the issue?

Changelly, which is something similar to your service, had a notorious track record of basically delays on every big transaction. I hope you guys are prepared for that kind of volume before advertising "limitless".
2543  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cex.io is Accepting User Registrations Again! on: February 28, 2018, 04:50:04 AM
I do wonder if they have sorted out their previous problems before they start accepting new registrants.

The previous problems being the fact that many people have had their withdrawals stuck at cleared even though it had some problems with the banking system it was using. IMO they shouldn't be opening up for new users until they actually sort that problem out.

Thanks for posting this, I was able to register and I'm really happy, however I haven't gotten round to using it yet as there is a nagging voice at the back of my head. That voice is a result of how CEX.io opened registration again - it was done with no notice, no announcement, no nothing. All the latest news from CEX.io simply talks about registrations being closed, and the Social Media channels are rather quiet - and again with no mention of opening registrations anywhere.

Outside of the crypto-world I would not be this paranoid, but the less-than-savory crypto users are unfortunately extremely intelligent. Can anyone here vouch for this new 'registration opened' CEX.io? Is it safe to use?

(Without wanting to insult anyone, I'm not asking whether or not CEX is a scam or not - I'm interested if the website is actually their own and legit. I just find it hard to believe that any exchange that had had to close registration would open it up again without mentioning or announcing it anywhere, not to mention their own 'sign up for e-mail alerts when registration re-opens' subscription did not send any notification.)

As long as you are on the right site, there is nothing to worry about.

There doesn't need to be a separate announcement for everything, they probably are too busy to do this particular one. So yes, as long as you are not on a phishing website, you won't be scammed or whatever.
2544  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance - where do you expact it? on: February 28, 2018, 04:43:08 AM
The only scenario I see where bitcoin dominance increases over the long term is one where there is a big fall across the whole market. Long term (years) it's hard to think that bitcoin will have a dominance of more than 10%. It is one coin against over one thousand, it's just not feasible that bitcoin can retain its dominance. With every new ICO bitcoin dominance falls just a little bit more.

I was talking about the short-medium term.

If we're talking long term then I honestly can't see anything but bitcoin dominance going up. Sooner or later people are going to realise that we only need a peer to peer electronic cash system with no middlemen and that's exactly what bitcoin offers.

Right now, people are getting hyped over ICOs with unnecessary features. When this craze dies off, bitcoin dominance will naturally go up.

Long term, 70-80% should be an average for BTC dominance honestly. Can't see it staying under 50% in the long run.
2545  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any Working VCC or Virtual Bank Account? on: February 28, 2018, 01:52:08 AM
A virtual credit card or a bank account is what you need? If only VCC, I suggest using Coinsbank, they provide Visa and they were not touched by the recent issues.

Thanks for reply. I just sign up on Coinsbank but unable to order VCC. Getting this message.

Either that they are running out of credit cards in stock, or that your country isn't supported by Coinsbank.

I suggest this list: http://www.bestbitcoincard.com/virtual/.

A quick read suggests that most of these stats are up to date. No guarantees though with the wavecrest situation last year and early this year, anything can change at any moment with virtual crypto debit cards.

Find the service that fits your needs the most, except spectrocoin since there are multiple reports of it being a scam site.

Most of the services are going to be restricted to EU only as well. Don't expect too good of a service or any at all if you are outside of the EU.
2546  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: kii552007_alt's Computer Hardware Scammer on: February 28, 2018, 01:45:57 AM
If he's just giving invalid tracking numbers and after a few days it's still not working, it's definitely not legit and he's probably making stuff up here. For everyone it's probably beneficial to start a paypal dispute as soon as possible before he moves his paypal funds.

At least most/all of the people involved have used paypal, and that is reversible. When doing these kind of deals either deal with something that you know is reversible, or just use one of the escrows on forum.

If the scammer tries to claim that he'll start shipping it or just keep waiting until the tracking number works, don't believe him. Start a dispute with paypal straightaway. The success rate is probably higher the sooner you do the dispute.
2547  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT - https://ton.fund/ - Telegram ICO (TON / GRAM) on: February 28, 2018, 01:35:55 AM
The same guys registered this one too - legram.org

When I looked them up they came up with these details:

Registry Registrant ID: C180151722-CNIC

Registrant Name: Fred Stone

Registrant Organization: N/A

Registrant Street: str.grasgo 10-15

Registrant City: Istambul

Registrant State/Province: Istanbul

Registrant Postal Code: 12333

Registrant Phone: +90.1241241221

Registrant Email: sarita@keemail.me
scammers changed their website domain:

https://www.ton-sale.com

All of these scams use the same template, just under different domain names.

Any ICO inestor that has the slightest knowledge about their trade and has just a little bit of care to make them do some research before they actually invest will realize that what these companies are offering isn't the real Telegram ICO.

These names registered onto the domain is probably fake anyways. No point having it.

All of these "phishing" ICOs coming out recently, always verify that you're investing into what you think it is before you send funds to an unknown person across the internet.
2548  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yobit emptied my wallets and deleted all history on: February 28, 2018, 01:29:33 AM
I do have proof of the transfer of 0.105 BTC from Bittrex to Yobit -

Address: 1CueV8QaA6gtsJB4xuVm6ntM3E2KjzftnS
TxId: 3164de375fd19e5c1e8bf7fc4ad60a467f52e5fdd9b33d80a82061ecc2885482

I have no record of anything that happened after that on Yobit because they've deleted the history. But surely this transaction detail will be enough to prove that Yobit received funds for me?  And I have all the emails from Yobit saying when I set up the account, and the when I've recently logged in.  I only have one account.

That's actually 0.104 BTC in a deposit.

And also, even if it was 0.105 that is definitely not enough proof for yobit to give you back your PAC or anything like that. What they will probably do is easily claim that you have withdrawn the funds or something like that and you now hold no balances with them.

Is the deposit address still the same, though? Or have they changed that as well?

You could potentially request them to send you a history of your transactions with the deposit address as proof. But it'll be up to them to stay honest with the accounts with you. Good luck is all i can say.
2549  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Qoinpro.com has just stolen ~0.033 btc from me.... on: February 28, 2018, 01:23:45 AM
Hi,

The same thing happens to me, I lost 1.28BTC on their platform. They never made the withdrawal, no trace on the blockchain.

Do you think it would be useful to launch a cybercrime group procedure with the Hong Kong authorities?

Report Cyber Crime:
https://www.police.gov.hk/ppp_en/02_er_room/index.html

David

What happened? Did you deposit 1.28 BTC and can't withdraw it now?

That's an extremely high amount to even trust the biggest exchange names with, since they have in numerous occasions failed to make withdrawals on time, especially poloniex. Qoinpro isn't even supposed to be a wallet, it's actually a faucet.

If you're trusting it with that much money, it's no surprise that you're getting scammed...

Contact this person: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=178907. I doubt that the HK police will care about such a small case even if you do report it to them tbh.
2550  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Measure and track bitcoin exchanges - bitmeasure.io - Free bitcoins on: February 28, 2018, 01:20:53 AM
Hi,

We are launching bitmeasure.io to create a place where cryptocurrency exchanges are measured for reliably, time to complete transactions, and cost.  This will benefit everyone who uses crypto exchanges.

We will send a small amount of free bitcoin to participants in order to assist in providing the performance and cost of your local bitcoin exchange.

No personal information is requested. Keep it anonymous please.

Over time we wish to profile return transactions to get a better transparent metric of the crypto currency exchange world to help consumers and investors make the right decisions.

bitmeasure.io

I would suggest that you escrow the amount that you are claiming to give out and also give a limit on entries. That will increase your credibility to people who may steer clear of this project just because they think that they are wasting their time by doing this.

Otherwise you're probably see a range of people trying to abuse your project by spamming unnecessary amounts of feedback using alt accounts on different exchanges.

So all I need to provide is the QR code and the address of which I want you guys to deposit the 0.001 BTC to, as well as my comments on the exchange, and I shall be able to receive my compensation for it, correct?
2551  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Circle is buying Poloniex on: February 27, 2018, 08:46:49 AM
Let's hope Circle improves things. Might actually use Polo again if they do.

They might. This Circle presentation says that they will be bringing in 80 - 100 personnel.

What I like most about it is Circle will make Poloniex the first legal "crypto exchange" that would enable it to legally list tokens that are classified as "securities" by the SEC.

Prepare for the emergence of the next great exchange in Bitcoin land. Wink

I hope they do as well. I mean things probably can't get any worse than it is right now, though, can it?

The extra 80-100 personnel that they are promising is going to be huge for poloniex's future development if they do want to get any better in their business. Their primary concern is around their support right now.

And it wouldn't be a surprise if Circle does attempt to enter the fiat side of the crypto business with fiat deposits and withdrawals. Also expect it to become a more regulated exchange with more features for the verified users, legacy accounts are probably going to be gone completely. Big changes ahead for polo and it can really go either way from this point.
2552  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does cryptopia turning to scam on: February 27, 2018, 08:36:50 AM
Hello, i'm a new user in BTC TALK, i'm smookdogg29
I’ve sent 46$ from Blockchain since 48 hours ago but I don't see anything in my Cryptopia eth wallet
Here the proof

Simple question, does cryptopia turning to scam ? Everyone is missing deposits, support is non-existent. No word from support on any public platform about the massive amount of people missing funds for months. Honestly, it's feeling like Cryptopia went from decent to a complete scam overnight.

It's probably a bug with their deposit system. Nothing major. I think that you may have deposited through a smart contract which isn't supported by automatic deposits yet. If you didn't then it's just a bug as I've said, you'll have to wait for support.

Cryptopia has indeed become one of the worst exchanges to use over the past few months.

The problem isn't actually deposits but withdrawals. But yes, support is non existent so far.

I do hope that your problem gets resolved fairly quickly. But sometimes there is an element of luck involved. Could take weeks.
2553  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex sold for about 400m$ on: February 27, 2018, 08:28:55 AM
Flash news: Goldman Sachs Group backed Boston based Circle Internet Financial startup has bought Crypto Exchange Poloniex for about 400m USD. Circle is a decentralised payments platform built on blockchain technology. I believe that we will see fiat currencies on Poloniex, soon. In your opinion, how this news will affect the cryptography market ?

https://blog.circle.com/2018/02/26/circle-acquires-poloniex/
https://www.recode.net/2018/2/26/17053194/circle-poloniex-acquisition-400-million

Yep. I can't say that it's really that surprising considering how poorly poloniex has been performing during this stretch of few months. Poloniex wasn't going anywhere but downwards with the current administration staff, even though it's still a big name.

Circle obviously wants to make a name for itself in the altcoin world and this is the first step they are taking by acquiring poloniex.

It's huge news and imo it's a good deal for both parties. As I said poloniex has a really bad reputation right now for being one of the worst support teams and constantly held up withdrawals. If circle comes in and changes that, it can reestablish its trust in its customers.
2554  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitwala aims to be a bank on: February 27, 2018, 08:22:48 AM
I like the fact that they are actually working with a bank instead of just trying to be a bitcoin debit card.

A bitcoin debit card can essentially only be used to spend. But for the trader, you'd still have to receive and this German account with IBAN and everything included in the package is going to be great for any hardcore BTC traders out there.

Plus, deposits are actually insured, something that bitcoin debit cards don't really offer.

Though, I think that there will be lots of restrictions on who can get these accounts, probably EU only or something like that. Which isn't exactly helpful to people that actually needs these kinds of services in other non-supported countries.
2555  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poloniex - Account locked for 2 months with open ticket on: February 27, 2018, 08:01:09 AM
So I have been a Poloniex member for several years now, trading lightly, never withdrawing much, but then one day I log in to see that my verification level has dropped to "Legacy" with a $2000 a day withdrawal limit. This would be fine and dandy, if I could actually navigate away from the main page and get into my account after I log in, but I can't. I tried re-verifying 3 times, with no luck and no response or acknowledgement that I had actually verified.

I put in a ticket when this happened and currently that ticket is sitting unanswered at 56 days, 20 hours. Not even touched. I have some bitcoin in there that I can't get to, not a lot, but enough to get me very upset about this issue.

I would hesitate to trust Poloniex in the future if I were you.

So your problem is that even though you do have the withdrawal limits, but you can't actually navigate to withdraw these funds, right? Or is it actually forcing you to verify your account before you can use it.

If its the former then probably try switching browsers, clearing cookies, etc. because as far as i know even if your account is locked, you should be able to navigate around the site without any restrictions. But if it's just forcing you to verify, why is it saying that you have a legacy account?

AFAIK, legacy accounts, even though they are set to expire, is still working at this moment. You should still be able to use it for the $2k daily withdrawals.

Polo support is almost as bad as yobit at the moment, btw.
2556  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Issue with Yobit and XEM wallet on: February 27, 2018, 07:54:12 AM
Good day, gentlmens. Sorry that Newbie is starting a topic and for my bad english but I ask for help or advise.
I've bought some NEM (XEM) coins at the YoBit exchange website few days later the Coinbase was hacked.
5 days ago a noticed that my wallet at Yobit is under construction, and I cannot send my coins to my external NEM-wallet
Today nothing  changed, still no access to wallet.
And I googled some article that XEM wich were stollen from Coinbase were sold to the YoBit.
Does that mean that my coins are under arrest or something like that? Please help my, I'm frustrated.

Lol what? Coins under arrest... That's the first time I've heard that  Cheesy

Two things to get straight:

1. It was not coinbase that was hacked of the NEM, it was a Japanese exchange called Coincheck. Coinbase does not actually support NEM as of yet.
2. The NEM was apparently sent to yobit as detailed by this article.

I think that probabilities are yobit are just trying to investigate the issue and force the hacker, to prevent them from crashing the markets. That's why they're disabling withdrawals on this particular crypto right now.

You'll just have to wait until they sort this out, send support tickets if you want to have an ETA, but yobit shouldn't be relied on in this instance. Could take months or years.
2557  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much BTC will go in 2018? on: February 26, 2018, 09:20:21 AM
what do  u think?
30k?
40k?
65k?

I would disagree with all of these figures.

I feel like that bitcoin is going to be a lot more quiet in 2018 compared to 2017. What happened in 2017 isn't to be expected to happen every single year either. As great as bitcoin is, it just can't promise that kind of returns to investors at all.

I think that we'll most likely float around the $5k to $15k range throughout the year, with some ups and some downs.

Shouldn't be any major pumps. We're consolidating after the all time high of last year still.
2558  Economy / Speculation / Re: Waiting for a bitcoin rise. on: February 26, 2018, 09:07:11 AM
To this day bitcoin remains at a stable price and has not yet shown any upside movement, I am waiting for bitcoin prices to rise again.
Do you think the bitcoin price will reach $ 50,000?

It's quite unlkely for that to happen this year.

However if you're not giving any time constraints then accounting for the debasement of fiat currency and the natural scarcity of bitcoin itself, then that price level is probably quite easy to achieve in the long term. But as I said, not going to happen this year or probably next year.

We're seeing a slowdown in growth at the moment, in fact negative growth in market cap and price. Right now we're under 5 digits and that means that people may panic and think that this is going to be all over and bitcoin has no potential. Once it recovers from that dump, it may be able to set a higher level than $12k that we saw last week.
2559  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Alert: Fake Google Ad for coinmarketcap.com (very well done) on: February 26, 2018, 08:50:46 AM
I don't think this is a scam or phishing attempt. This is link cloaking generally used by affiliate marketers.Generally the landing page link is originally pointed to the real site, but after the approval of ad,it will be redirected to their own page

This has to do with Google banning crypto ads ,may be

Well, isn't that the same as phishing?

You're getting someone who wants to go to one site to another. Isn't that the definition of phishing?

I have no idea how they do it, I don't have any experience in this field.

But what I can say is that thebitcoincode is definitely not legit and if there is a way to make thousands of dollars in a day, then everyone would be doing it and nobody would be bothering to do anything else on this world. Whoever implemented this phishing ad is obviously wanting to make affiliate earnings off this ripoff/scam.
2560  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin had a drop recently, that means is a good time to buy some? on: February 26, 2018, 07:32:23 AM
I am a new user of this, still learning on how it works and not sure how to start buying.

Now, just after the drop, will be a good time?

Better time to buy than $12k for sure, since you have the benefit of hindsight.

I can see bitcoin floating around $9k-10k for a while before reentering the $10k level. After $10k is hit the growth should actually accelerate and the recovery could easily take bitcoin to the starting price of the year, which is around $14k which we haven't seen since early january.

Ultimately, it depends on you. If you feel like you have the financial ability to buy some more and is willing to take the risk, then go ahead and do it. Nothing is guaranteed or black and white when it comes to btc speculation though.
