It's happening!
May I present...the MS Satoshi.
As for monthly fees, we have those listed here: https://vivavivas.com/faq
That is a beaut. Hope everything has been going well with the auction of units and goal of getting operating costs down.

I did get curious the more I pipe dreamed this. What is the law enforcment on board and/or overall justice system situation going to be like. I'm fairly ignorant to maritime law and how the legal lines blur when inside a countries waters, and/or flying a flag from another country (I'm assuming you still have to do this). Just more random thoughts as I think about life on a floating city.

I´m using the browser. Is it better to play with the client?
I prefer playing on the client, I didn't really give the browser a fair shake, I prefer playing on a dedicated client anyways. I have noticed any disconnect on th eclient is fast to reload my table(s) though.
I did run into the same problem as you yesterday though, where I couldn't see the villains cards after a hand. Pretty sure it's following a live play rules, where in position they wouldn't have to display at showdown, if you table the winning hand and they muck.
I mentioned it in their main thread as that's annoying.
It's sad to say but looks like I let a multiaccounter in. itradeChips and HEvangelist will be receiving neg rep from me as well as not be allowed in the tourney series.
Shame but good catch.

Congrats to those that cashed I was out early 2 hands in I think. Turned trip A, and played it aggressive, definielt had the feeling they had flopped a set/turned boat and I was rewarded by being escorted out of the game lol.

I did make it into their big KO of the  day with a satellite ticket but, that got burned by my Boat being counterfeited on the river my 777AA VS their AAA55 - Fkn river lol.

My presidential bet having paid out that morning I rebought and ran up a large stack, but falling short of the money by 5 or 6 spots. Earned a couple bounties so not all bad.
264  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 Betnomi.com - Crypto Centric 🏀Sportsbook and 🎲Casino - 🔥Biggest Jackpots on: November 09, 2020, 07:37:53 PM
I am really surprised why so many people are still interested in this site, which has made a mess of it since the begin. I've been keeping a close eye on this topic from post number 1. So they have a lawyer? Then explain to me that they have already adjusted the general terms and conditions 20 times and that they contained fraudulent things all the time that need to be adjusted? The supply from excluded countries was also incorrect. Still not correct by the way. Only amateurs work this way. There is not a single attorney in the world who would draft this or agree to this. It was a mess at Betnomi from the start, and it still is.
What a nonsense story about that KYC by the way. You either have a KYC or you don't. There is no middle ground.
Imagine that a new service starting out coming off as amateurs. Even then they were eager and made some mistakes, that at first glance were bad. The team has since worked and communicated here openly to address and remedy any issues caused. They are going to continue to do so, to continue to provide a good service, while growing and improving.
I'll continue to gladly play there as I have not run into any issues that make me feel unsafe. I will still continue to listen for any real issue that ever occurs, but don't think carrying on the hypotheticals for several pages benefits anyone. The answers have been given, the timelines for improvements have been given. Now people can either show their support by playing, or not by abstaining. That will show the business if it's on the right track.

Sorry but I am not buying this. You make a promise that players don't need to provide KYC when it comes to crypto, but you can't include it in the terms and conditions? Where's the logic?
These are your own conditions, because you have your own permit. Then you decide that yourself. Unless it is not allowed, but if you are not allowed to include that in the terms and conditions, and therefore not legal, that also means that you cannot make such promises on the forum here.
You keep giving contradictory answers.
It's not about you buying it. Several people have asked the same question, some several times and have been given an answer. The answer is not contradictory, but complimentary to the TOS. Statements made on forum are something you can hold them accountable to on the forum when they begin to drift outside of their assurances. This is where they are building their business and making connections so they aren't going to be coming around here and poisoning the well. They have already learned this forum is quick to act and have learned from past mistakes.
So as I've said before people need to come to their own conclusions in how much your KYC matters to you in the event you are suspected of fraudulent play and/or win a large jackpot. These are not something that is hidden the responses have been laid out several times, and now all that is left is for the customers to decide, if the offerings in way of games and promotions are worth it.

Side note with poker I have run into a few glitches that I've seen some others mention as well.

#1 - Not being able to see your opponents cards at showdown. Sometimes they aren't visible at the end of the hand in gameplay, but I should still be able to go back into the hand history for review to see what cards they called with on the river.

#2 - When trying to leave a note for a player, it often gets stuck and I am left displaying a previous note in that box permanently for that session. This leaves me unable to see notes I've left players and unable to be sure the note I'm leaving a new player is correct.

#3 I also ran into a weird one where I have my Pre-flop bet buttons set at 2.5X so it should bet 2.5BB, a few times it actually adds the 2.5BB to the 1BB flat call, and sets itself as 3.5BB betsizing. This is a weird one as it only happens rarely.

Apart from that it does look like the player base is growing which is nice. I would request that there be some freerolls that aren't for specific tournaments but give you a ticket for that level of buy-in.

Edit: Forgot number 4 - Closing a Sit & Go table that hasn't started (less than 3 players) should automatically unregister you from that game.

~snip~ Everything in the general terms and conditions applies, unless stated otherwise. Simple as that. I really recommend that you draw up the correct general terms and conditions and discuss this with a lawyer, for example. They have experience in this.
They have stated they have a Lawyer who has directed them on how the T0S should be laid out. Portions of it are in place for the future if they change their model to allow Fiat deposits - which come with different regulatory requirements. So for anyone concerned about providing KYC, there are a few options. Don't play if you legitimately wouldn't be willing to provide KYC documents for a jackpot size prize pool, or to clarify security scrutiny. That's your choice same as it is their choice to apply the terms they state in varying degrees up to everything they state at that time.

The thing about ToS, is that it can be applied at their discretion. So what you have seen is the conditions they can apply, as well as their explanation here about how they intend to apply them. They've been pretty clear about that (suspicion of fraud, Prizes of a large size that they require regulatory scrutiny) by providing several examples across several replies to try and clarify it.

For anyone who is comfortable providing KYC within the conditions stated, it seems there wouldn't be a problem. In the meantime I would continue to watch for any updates regarding ToS, and the services they offer. I wouldn't expect much to change, until a time they incorporate Fiat payment options.
266  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: EARN FREE BITCOIN EVERYDAY WITHOUT BUYING IT on: November 07, 2020, 06:58:47 PM
I would be careful accepting any documents from OP. There are very few ways to earn free coins - the only being a faucet which offer very small amounts and are few and far between. Apart from that there are task based ways of earning, again you have to perform a task and these amounts are small.

There is no way this needs a 46 page document. OP could create a topic here on the forum so that no one ever needs to download it. Anything short of that tells me there is a catch and you shouldn't accept any documents from OP
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's F'n happening ----- Polk VS. Negreanu HUNL Grudge Match on: November 07, 2020, 06:46:38 PM
i finally had a chance to sit down and watch the stream today. after all the buildup, it was a much friendlier affair than i expected---~snip~

very solid play (and also a few spots of rungood) by DN---up $117k after 200 hands. it barely makes a dent in the total hand count but, nice showing anyway. it didn't affect the odds for the overall grudge match though. DN is still being priced above 6.
It legitimately seemed like old friends, even bordering coaching at some points lol. I first watched the first hour or so, adn was like okay Doug blasted some off early - called it a miss read board later on - but was like okay he's climbing back. Then someone told me he finished the night down 117K I was like wtf happened lol. So I'm slowly trying to finish watching it just to see the spots, and now I have the first online session to watch, cheated and caught a bit of that.
Definitely not as interesting, I find the announcers voices a bit dry.
Not surprised that online went better for Doug than Daniel. I also figured Daniel might have been at a slight advantage live, if he was able to pick up on any Doug reads. I kind of whish they had gone to a 50/50 format for live and online - even switching back and forth ever 3 sessions or so.

I want to see how the next few sessions go, but if it's a lot of the same I wonder if Dan will opt out after 12.5K hands.
268  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help us to validate our business model! on: November 07, 2020, 05:28:39 PM
I suggest you go a different route. Your presentation will be historical data and anecdotal, It will look better than a random survey conducted on forum. Which you should also point to, the various degrees of privacy individuals are comfortable with. Bounty participants wouldn't think twice about giving you all their personal data, but they would also skew your survey by only making up a small portion of crypto users.

I suggest you just post your survey here as a topic with a list of the questions you'd like answered - even make some of it a poll using the options if you want. Anyone interested will come here and post their answers and/or opinions without leaving more information than they'd like. Then you can search through the topics that have been created on the forum, showing you how and when people would like to use their crypto for purchases.

Good luck finding what you need, but I think you will be better served trying a different method.

Well that took a few days. There is finally a declared victory for the election, Biden wins. I'm sure there will be some questions rolling in so I'll start it off.

When does Betnomi consider the election "won"?
How does the 30% cashback work for losing bets, did people have to do something specific to qualify for this??

Can you maybe add MBTC ?
They are FIAT based allowing crypto deposits. Crypto is converted to FIAT value so at best you would just be seeing a fluctuating mbtc value.

I haven't bothered to go through the terms and conditions, but what about the KYC on the site? Is there a fixed amount from where this KYC comes into effect? I can't find it anywhere.
I am personally in favor of getting clarity about the KYC. Some players find it annoying, others are used to it. And still others it doesn't matter.

Here is the response betnomi gave on the first page. Essentially no KYC unless you win one of their jackpots.  Not sure if there is a specific dollar amount that triggers it or not.

No, we do not require KCY for withdrawals. However, KYC maybe required for our Jackpots currently at (1.2 million $) for regulatory reason.
We are working with our lawyers to improve our terms and policies to minimize as much as possible required information's if any.

Where can I see how much I can wager?
Assuming I did it correctly, when you go to place a wager, click "max" next to the field where you would type in your wager amount.
It will display the max you can wager, and tell you insufficient funds (assuming you have less in your account)just in case you are worried about accidentally betting your role.
273  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker series discussion thread(FREEROLL SUNDAY ALL WELCOME) on: November 06, 2020, 07:34:57 PM
There is something I need to complain about on betnomi platform.
I have played some tournaments meanwhile and everytime when it comes to a Showdown, the platform is lagging and I cannot see the cards of my rival.
It is totally annoying, the chips are moving either to the other guy or to me but I dont know what they played.
I restarted the browser several times, logged out and in but nothing has changed...
Are you playing from the browser or the client?? Are you able to at least go back through the hand history to see what they played??
The only time I had a similar issue I was playing through the browser and was working my PC to hard .
274  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 Betnomi.com - Crypto Centric 🏀Sportsbook and 🎲Casino - 🔥Biggest Jackpots on: November 06, 2020, 05:59:48 PM
We will appreciate it if a couple people can go on the sportsbook. Select any of the the top leagues and share their limits. We want to close the limit issue once and for all.
I don't do much with the sportsbook, but figured I would check.
I first looked at Match result for South Hampton VS. Newcastle United Friday - Max allowed for me on NU at 3.76 would be 1811.59 USD
If I were to take SH @ 2.01 I can wager 4950.01 USD ---Draw @ 3.45 I can wager 2040.82

If I go to total goals and select over 5 @ 11.9 I can wager 458.72

NFL
Sunday Ravens VS. Colts - Colts @ 2.08 I can wager max of 1157.41

I have made a total of 2 bets on the site for the Us election, I can't remember what if nay limit there was there. I don't know how the algorithm works, but it did vary widely based on the event and bet I was going to make. Not sure how much that matters to people who bet more often. Just wanted to drop some info, as requested.

I also dropped a few suggestions for the poker side of things back here. Been having fun on the SitNGo's, hoping toi get into a tourney on Sunday maybe.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's F'n happening ----- Polk VS. Negreanu HUNL Grudge Match on: November 04, 2020, 10:57:41 PM
Just over 2 hours and this thing really kicks off. I might be mistaken but it almost seems like these 200 hands are going to be played in person. That's going to be interesting as I'm sure there'll be some jabs tossed around if not during then for sure as they break.

Here is the event description from Pokergo
Quote
Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk look to settle the score on High Stakes Feud as the two are set to play 25,000 hands of heads-up $200/$400 No-Limit Hold'em. Negreanu and Polk will face-off live from the PokerGO Studio for the first 200 hands, before moving online to continue the match and attempt to settle the score in High Stakes Feud

Password received for the freeroll. Hopefully nothing comes up this Sunday and I'll see you guys at the tables. I've noticed traffic seems to be up a bit on the site so that's a bonus, and hopefully some of the people dropping in for the freeroll stick around for the series.

I got your PM. I'll look around and see what I got I also reached out to someone closer to you but haven't heard back.

Quick question are you trying to run on a 110v circuit?? You should be supplying 220v to the PSU- to run a fully functional S9. I can't remember but I think they ran on 110 for L3 litecoin miners.

Odds are you won't need a PSU. Good luck.
278  Economy / Reputation / Re: Using the trust system for personal Vendetta on: November 03, 2020, 09:53:33 PM
I have done enough community work on the forum as for one person and on this basis, I see this situation as an abuse of the trust system for personal vendetta (using formalities).
Then you should know how to deal with "feedback issues".

Appeal to the user; if it fails as in most cases see next step
Ask yourself are they on DT? If yes, appeal to whoever has them included giving providing them a DT position
If that fails then maybe the feedback is warranted.

In this case it's pretty easy, this is not what the trust system is intended for so I don't see them getting into or remaining on DT.
I'll quote my post here:

Plagiarism isn't the same as a copyright violation. Plagiarism can get you banned, copyright violations can get you into other problems. Either way, plagiarism is handled by forum rules, and shouldn't be used for negative feedback:
The system is for handling trade risk, not for flagging people for good/bad posts/personalities/ideas.
Correct. Images where discussed when the first wave of autobans hit the forum for plagiarism. I can't remember where it was stated but images were definitely excluded from the "plagiarism" category on forum.

You have more examples of plagiarism in your post history than just the ones pointed out by WhiteManWhite. Indirect references through your blog may not be enough. If a moderator can't see the reference in your post - you'll get into trouble sooner or later.
That's concerning.
279  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A Word of Advice about Paypal & Crypto on: November 03, 2020, 09:41:07 PM
This topic is better suited to "Service Discussion" - currency Exchange is a board mainly for P2P trades.

Not sure if there are already ongoing topics about this or not. You can move this thread by selecting "move topic" by scrolling down and selecting it at the bottom left.

The service is pretty gross to an experienced crypto user. I do see a small benefit for someone who wants to get their feet wet. Paypal is super familiar to the majority of the world, so it's easy to "buy" your first sats through them and let them hold your hand and coins at first. Ideally people will then see the value in holding for themselves and then branch out from there. In the end I do see it as a net positive, by increasing adoption through a baby step.
280  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 Betnomi.com - Crypto Centric 🏀Sportsbook and 🎲Casino - 🔥Biggest Jackpots on: November 03, 2020, 07:54:18 PM
I've only managed to play a few short sessions. Hoping to put in some time tomorrow morning maybe, as that's when the Poker tournaments run for me.

A few small suggestions I have so far.
Spin & Go's
-Display how many players there are for each pricepoint. It's helpful to see if there are active players in a pool. Especially when it's relatively small, as I can open a table and if no one is seated immediately I might assume there are no players in the pool when in reality there could be 3,6,9 all occupying tables.

- Increase delay for disconnected users. If by chance a user gets disconnected or accidentally disconnects there should be 10-30 second timer to allow them to reconnect. They should also get the same timer for each hand to act, same as normal play, to allow time for them to reconnect and play.

I mention the above as I have seen both sides, I got disconnected (I understand this issue has been sorted) and reconnected extremely fast only to see that my opponent was able to "speed" blind me down. Where as

Apart from that I have enjoyed what little I have played. I'm hoping to play some satellites that meet the min registrants to try some of the larger guarantees, but short of that there are a lot of low/micro tournaments at that time.
