2641  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and middle class as a mentality on: July 15, 2021, 06:24:11 AM
Rich people become richer while the poor/middle class will remain the same or even become poorer. This is about our mindset of what we do now. Poor/Middle-class people never teach in school how to grow their money but instead, they have been taught how to become a slave ( go to school and find a job after). While Rich people have been taught how to grow their businesses and make more businesses.

One factor that has a huge influence on our minds is what we get from school. Mostly we are financially illiterate which brought us to become less fortunate and it is really hard to change.
2642  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I get a loan? on: July 14, 2021, 09:10:53 PM
This is so right. It may be a good debt but in this very volatile market, you cannot expect that it will always be profitable with that money. Unless you have some other resources that can keep with your loan and it will also be your 2nd source that will help to pay the loan. This is the of most businessmen but this is different from owning a business although trading is also considered a business by many but the process of it is literally different from the usual that we know.
maybe I can argue, in trading emotional calm is really needed, I think debt for business needs is not a problem, but it must be based on qualified trading skills, if you are still an amateur, I recommend not looking for a loan for this business, because we can panic sell and end up losing. a lot of people do things like this, but it's actually going to be more risky
It is exactly what's happening for those traders that saw the potential but they're not yet as good as the other traders. They're brought up with emotions because of the projected profit that they can make every trade that they does. And that's the reason why they've coming up with the idea of taking a loan from whoever is available in their network or even with the banks. The main concern is that they're not calculating the risk and the other circumstances that they might surprisingly face as they trade.

Everyone is responsible for their action, what we are doing is risky already and if we try to borrow money just to start trading, then that would be another risk that we should handle. I think there are people who do it successfully but I'm pretty sure they are good at trading and they think wisely before borrowing that money to trade. In general, it's not bad to borrow money to trade because there are people who borrow money also for the capital of their business.
2643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 14, 2021, 08:59:03 PM

In the press conference, when Pacquiao was asked who he thinks the toughest boxer between Keith Thurman and Errol Spence Jr. , he points out that it's been a long time that he hasn't face a SouthPaw fighter so he can't compare Spence over Thurman. Pacquiao mostly faces an orthodox fighter so he's more of aware countering that stance compares to a SouthPaw. The last time he fought a SouthPaw was in 2008 against David Diaz on which Manny won via impressive Round 9 TKO.

Pacquiao is a Southpaw but it makes me think it's really hard to deal with the same stance as him since most of the time, his counter was only meant for an orthodox stance. However, should not be a problem for an experienced boxer like him.
Yup. As long as he got experienced in both fighting stances with his past matches, he will adjust easily to this match. Although he's right that having a long time that he didn't have any fight against the same, he truly needs more adjustment but we're sure that he's packed up with all of those.

Manny has a lot of time to prepare for this fight and one thing that he will take advantage of Spence being flat-footed. We know that Manny is a very fast fight, he moves a lot in the ring at different angles, so it's hard for an opponent to find a clean shots to hurt him,  so the power of Spence will not be used here as speed wins.
2644  Economy / Speculation / Re: Using BTC only for Trading? on: July 14, 2021, 05:12:05 PM

Your thoughts on this. Do you think one can be successful just day trading on BTC only vs the other coins/tokens? thanks
yes of course, unless if you got emotionally stress when the market drastically dumps and do sell all your Bitcoin.
Bitcoin trading volume huge and has a high volatility rate where it is good for trading. If you can go along with the trend by simply do the buy at low and sell at high, you're certainly in profit.
We should also remember that it cannot be all the time the market is good, well, losing is not a thing to be afraid of as it was a part of our trading life.
2645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 13, 2021, 01:40:20 PM
For Game 4, before placing a bet, I would focus a lot on the Suns' defensive problem that needs to be solved quickly; I think that for the next game the Suns need a different Booker than the one who fights with his aim and closes with 10 points and 3/14 on his shot, ending up in serious criticism while becoming the most watched man in view of Game 4.
Because of this, and if the Greek God will keep rockin', I believe the Bucks can win another important game even though this time with less than 10 points difference. Do you share my view?

The simple explanation could  be he was rattled by the Bucks fans. It's not their home anymore and he might have been used to people cheering for him but not in Game 3. He will adjust to it, that's how players are after a lost. It's the Bucks that needs to be careful when Booker starts to get used with the noisy crowd behind him and against them. Holiday will be dealing with him and I bet it will also wore him down running both offense and defense for the team.
Middleton should take over if that incident happens. He should also know the plays for the team because Holiday can't carry that load for the whole 48 minutes.

No, the defense of the Suns has really improved, getting rattled because of the fans is not a big excuse as they have been playing in different court as a player, they are used to it already. Let's just say that the Bucks were more inspired as they are at home and game 3 was a do or die game for them as they know they'll not be able to come back in the series if they'll lose.
2646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 13, 2021, 01:19:24 PM
Lol, this is hilarious, Suns only have a total of 16 FTs combined, Giannis beat them all, this tells how aggressive Giannis is.

Suns has no option but to foul Giannis when he drives to the basket because they are not doubling him, and they also believe that their strategy will work because Giannis is not a good Free Throw shooter but in game 3 he shoots well although not perfect in the line. Maybe they'll make an adjustment in game 4 as losing 20 points to a team that they previously beat is already alarming.
2647  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why risk management is so important for Every Trader. on: July 13, 2021, 12:44:51 PM
This reminds me of one of my friends who had problems with risk management. He made a bad trade like going all-in. Despite that I have given him advice of not going all-in and should diversify instead, he decided to push through. In the end because of his bad trading decision, he almost lost all of his money and was depressed. I highly agree with you that risk management is very important, especially in the financial side.
if we are too careless and don't have a market advantage which knowledge and skill, the chances are huge that we gonna lose. It is something we need to invest in first in Financial Risk Management and so we can appreciate how it was important for us for our next journey.

A lot of people make a good fortune in trading because they work hard to learn as it was the warrant to succeed. If we don't care and place some importance on Risk management, we are simply putting ourselves at risk and possibility losing our money.
2648  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Signals in crypto on: July 13, 2021, 12:16:03 PM
Signals act as an important regulator in cryptocurrency trading, but their reliability may not be 100% effective in all cases. Traders trade using different types of signals and these influence the psychological decision-making of the investors. Different types of books and tools are used to analyze these signals. However, as the market moves forward depending on the decisions of the investors, these signals in many cases contradict the needs of the investors. However, as the market moves forward depending on the decisions of the investors, these signals in many cases contradict the needs of the investors. So there are other things to keep in mind when trading using signals.
Well, some signal groups are legit but most of them can't be trusted IRL. The reliability of signals is quite low as the market moves unpredictably. Even we spend our whole life in the market, there is no way we can make it perfect. That is why I don't trust signal group nor I have to pay for them coz the reality is that they don't know also what will happen next and their speculations are also base on what they understand. And we can surely make it as well.
2649  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin a good investment in this pendamic situation? on: July 11, 2021, 11:29:42 PM
Certainly, it is if you still have the spare money. Actually, crypto investment is not just the best or good during the pandemic but in all seasons. We can't just deny that the pandemic makes the crypto market getting strong as we are more on online transactions. in fact, we can see that the number of investors is currently growing, this means that despite the crisis that we have now, people are still seeing a huge opportunity on crypto and that you need to think of. If that they will able to see the good in here, then possibly that will also happen to you.
2650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find good ICO's and new projects in general? on: July 11, 2021, 10:59:19 PM
I always hear about people making these insane profits from crypto by investing on release. But how exactly do you find legit ones from the fakes? I was told there are mostly purely fakes.

Any advice is appreciated.
Don't get fooled by those gossips, some get big rewards by investing shitcoins during the bullish season but many were dumb to lose their money because of blindness.

Honestly, to find a good ICO nowadays is 50/50, that gonna be challenging for sure and if we can make a deep search on a particular project that we plan to invest in, I'm afraid they will just invest for nothing.

The good advice for you is to look for a project that already has a working product, that gonna be our assurance that it will survive.
2651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are comfortable investing in government controlled investments on: July 09, 2021, 08:36:11 PM
In my opinion, government-controlled investing is safe from loss or loss, but there is a downside if we invest in fiat, the value only increases by 3-10% in 1 year, in contrast to bitcoin if it has gone up, you can get 100% profit or even more.
too many bitcoin weaknesses in my opinion, hacker threats, price drops, scams and much more

and it all depends on which trust is more comfortable in investing because everyone's views are different
Even it was controlled by the government the word safety from losing had no assurance to any form of investment. Maybe they are after that they are protected but not that they can't experience losses. And they are paying more taxes every year.

Volatility is one reason why many don't choose Bitcoin and they are afraid to lose their money instantly. That is why this kind of investment isn't for everyone but only those risk-takers and those who can afford to lose their money without regrets. But somehow we just mess up because the thing that we think is risky (Bitcoin) is more profitable than stocks and bonds.
2652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: July 09, 2021, 03:22:40 PM
I like coming back here in the gambling discussion even if there is no posting requirement that I post here in the gambling section I just want to get updated on the boxing matches which I always participated in the discussion and also on a discussion about the gambling habit, I'm not into sports betting and I seldom participate on this kind of topics.

For me, I would be more interested to participate in a topic if I bet on a certain game or fight. I'm a sports bettor but I don't consistently gamble and since we talk about a certain topic in a "gambling discussion" board, I believe learning how to gamble is a basic requirement to have a productive conversation.
2653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 21 July is going to big for btc price? on: July 09, 2021, 02:49:00 PM
The news about China is still bigger than that news, we can speculate on what will be the market effect but we can never deny that we face the biggest bad news this year already. We need bigger news than talk, a simple talk news will not drive the price up, it should be a formal or official announcement on the result of the meeting as long as it's positive.
2654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 09, 2021, 02:08:36 PM

Even people who are into cryptocurrency will have a hard time convincing people to engage in it while Pacman owns some crypto, I don't think he has deep knowledge about this stuff. He might have been used as an endorser of some coins as he is a big name but I doubt he understands the "use-case" of the coins he promotes.

The key factors for Pacman to win is focus on training which I think will not be on his this time around.

Have you seen Youtube videos showing the everyday training of Pacquiao? (Just one example who regularly posts - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FhqP4oJjPQ ) It seems that he is pretty serious with his training. As usual, he always draws crowd on him. This is really an interesting fight to watch out for. And the lawsuit seemed not discussed anymore. Maybe, they already settled or will have talks after this Spence fight.

When Pacman trains, he gives his all as f there is no tomorrow, that is the best trait Pacman have IMO.

Speed and power seem to be on Pacquaio's side but the endurance and stamina will be questionable as he is old now.

I've got my basis on that, if you look at the Thurman fight, he faded away on the second half of that fight. If not for that knockdown, Thurman could have win that fight.

That's true, but what matter is he won the fight, Thurman is undefeated at that time, he is a good boxer as well like Spence, and I think Pacman had learned from that so they'll double the effort in training and we might see the same outcome which is the win. Young vs old, we know that the stamina of Pacman reduces already, but he is in shape, that's enough to win the fight.
2655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 09, 2021, 01:12:11 PM
The bucks don't know what hit them, three points are coming from everywhere when the bucks are closing in, paul make points and plays for the team, what a game by the suns, the bucks offense are good but the suns are flawless, they step on the gas when the bucks are making a rally, and doing it beautifully with nice plays, booker also played well tonight and supporting cast of the suns, no way that bucks can overcome that offense.

The chance of the Bucks here is if the Suns will miss 3 point shots. Maybe they should put more defense, on the guards as they are really a great shooter.
Phoenix shoots 20-40 or 50% from 3 point line in game 2, that's unacceptable, Bucks should improve their defense as the Suns are easily getting good looks.

There's no need to clag down inside as the Bucks had an advantage to that due to Giannis and Lopez's height.

They limited Ayton with 10 points only but they allow the 3 point shooters an easy look.
2656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: July 09, 2021, 12:51:55 PM
@Tumanggor, you are joking, your over computed the winning.

Well, I haven't played in a lottery from a trading site yet because I have not seen one.
I use Binance, Kucoin, and even a small exchange but they have no lottery game.

Yobit has a dice game (not lottery) but I'm not into it as I don't trust it.
2657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are some interesting ways you've introduced bitcoin to your friends? on: July 09, 2021, 11:07:43 AM
Telling our friends how Bitcoin changes our lives is a more interesting story rather than telling them the uses and market features of Bitcoin.
I remember my early days in the forum and tell one of my friends what I am doing, but as expected, they never believe in Bitcoin and he tells me, just show me first how it changes your life. And now that he saw huge changes in my life, then he gets back and tells me, I want to join...

It is too easy to introduce Bitcoin to our friends but it was too hard to convince them until they will found out. There is no interesting way to introduce Bitcoin to our friends aside from showing them what happen to us IRL.
2658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What features should a good altcoin project have? on: July 09, 2021, 10:41:06 AM
In my opinion, altcoins provide features that are useful in the real world for many people, such as security, economy, environment-friendly, fast and have good innovation and progress.
There are so many altcoins nowadays, you can choose old proven projects. It's more profitable
Yes, and don't forget to always choose old Altcoins that already have real products and use cases that are really useful in all societies because such Altcoins will not die easily and always have good potential when the market goes bull.
But to tell you that not all old coins are promising and it was not the basis in choosing which altcoins to invest instead, we have to look at its current market trend and volume because in that we way we can simply think what would its possible trend in the future. I believe that those coins who already have a working product will able to compete in the market but this will not sure that everything will be meant so good and profitable.
But for me, I mostly choose those altcoins that have been in the known and reputable exchanges aside from what you have mentioned.
2659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is recovering, what steps are you taking? on: July 08, 2021, 09:19:34 PM
I would do nothing, because i don't think the market is clear yet, to be honest, this little rally is a trap recently, luring people into the market in my opinion. This trick has been in use since the end of May, and while the price of bitcoin hasn't changed much, the altcoins have fallen a lot.
Altcoins are so curious really, apart from a few big ones like ETH and BNB, I cannot really trust many altcoins in the market because when the BTC was going bull in the early months of this year, all the altcoins except for a few were sitting relatively stable like Tron didn't move as much as I expected and believed.

Why only looked on TRON, sure you can see a lot of altcoins that made a new ATH and some even pumped more than what BTC has increased in terms of percentage, so it's really work taking a risk investing on altcoins because they also have the potential to bring big profits.

If the market is recovering, then that's a good sign, but currently I don't see a real recovery yet.
2660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody here sell their Gold to buy Bitcoin? on: July 08, 2021, 12:09:41 PM
Ever since I'd never make any investment until I found Bitcoin in early 2016. Of course, doubts and uncertainty are there and I can't even imagine if I could hold this long or sell it back. But I have a friend trying to convince me to hold until the next Bullrun, I don't know when because I'd never ask. But I follow what he said until the moment has come last 2017, yeah, it is a big day for me and I was so thankful to my friend.

Now I realize that investment is a need of courage and trust, either we invest in gold or Bitcoin, it is still be needed. After I sell my Bitcoin, I use some of it to invest in gold but I was surprised that until today, it didn't happen to double my capital, unlike Bitcoin.
