1781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 08, 2022, 05:06:31 AM
I'm taking the points on the Grizzlies +4.5 this team continues to impress me while the Nuggets are somewhat pressured to win I still think they can lose straight up against the Grizzlies. Even if the Grizzlies have nothing to play for they still continue their winning ways and I think it'll continue since the Nuggets have been struggling at home. I just think there's way too much value on the Grizzlies as bookies tend to give a lot of credit to teams that have some stake on the line.
Sorry for that loss, it looks like Denver are really serious on winning the game and they beat Memphis by domination. Jokic with another big performance, double-double again and leads the team to this good win, hopefully, they will carry the momentum in the playoffs.
1782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you help out a newbie trader please? on: April 07, 2022, 11:46:14 PM
The issue here which I think is that you are trying to learn too many things at once instead of taking it bit by bit. And then you get carried away by the success post or study of the pros or profitable traders. Trading is a long life journey just like going to school. So you have to take your time to learn it, take notes about your trades and don't let the losses discourage you. You will be a winner. Learn from your losses thats why I said you should keep notes of your trades.
I was supposed to think that OP wanted instant.
A newbie must not think this way but had to understand the meaning of PROCESS.
- learning the basics
- developing strategies and knowledge
- experience

What OP needs is a person who could really guide him on what will be the next thing to do. Well, online tutorials are good sources of information but if there is someone( or close friend) who could really spend time, I think that was easy for him.

Not a good idea to back the Celtics without Tatum. I don't even think they will cover the spread as long as Giannis will play, I think this will be a blowout win by the Bucks that's why the spread is very high.

Well, you got your own opinion but we never know the outcome.
I'm thinking, maybe this Celtics team will be the same as the Memphis that still winning games even without their main star.

My pick for tonight.

Milwaukee Bucks(-5,5) vs Boston Celtics

~snip~
@MK-74, while not take the -8.5 for a better odds, I don't even see a -5.5 in my bookie, the lowest is only -6.5 with 1.64 odds.

Meralco seemed to be getting the call.  Smiley

They really are such a great 3 point shooting team, I think Ginebra really has to improve their game by game 2, and I would make sure I will bet on them as they will surely even the series, or maybe double if they still lose since I don't see a 3-0 will happen. Maybe there some kind of rig show happening, but that's what PBA is, it's just like NBA that amazing things could happen, if you know what I mean.

Ginebra will adjust. We know how great Tim Cone was. He won't let Meralco continue the momentum, he will find the best way to stop the possible 2-0 and will try harder to even the series. I'm on the side that Ginebra will focus on their outside defense, that good 3 points percentage of Meralco needs to evaluate and make sure to have a much tighter defense.

And also, Ginebra needs to start strong game 1 is not a good sign for the finals, they need to create good and working plays
to convert their offense.

I'm with you, risking some spare for Ginebra to add some fun while watching the game.

Brownlee will again take over the game, if you see game 1, it's the local of Meralco that really gave problems to the Ginebra so the locals of the Kings should also have to step up as they cannot win with one man only. Hodge who is not known to be an offensive player is getting a lot of open shots and he really did capitalize on the bad defense of the Kings.
1785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 07, 2022, 09:12:14 PM

For tomorrow's game, I have 76ers +2 vs Raptors and Grizzlies +3 vs Nuggets. Both are on their road games.

Good luck, both road teams, right?

I'm not sure if these teams will still play with the same intensity knowing that they already have the position they need to qualify in the playoffs, but I'm sure it's still fun to watch this and I think road both picks are good.

Mine, I got Celtics Moneyline, they are +8.5 against Bucks.

Yeah, I'll tail with the the Celtics ML here, I love how they are the underdog in their game against the Bucks. And they are one of the hottest teams so far, and bragging rights, they want to maintain the second spot behind the Heat. And if they let the Bucks win here, then they will be the one taking the second spot from them.

Maybe some players are not going to play that's why they are the underdog.

So, upon looking at https://www.covers.com/sport/basketball/nba/matchup/251751.... it turns out that most of the starters will not be available.

Tatum-rest
Horford - rest
Smart - probable (ankle problem)

The fact that Tatum will not play, that's already big.
1786  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there interested in a no KYC exchange. on: April 07, 2022, 12:23:56 PM
We were building a (centralized) exchange that runs on Binance liquidity which allow user to trade free without any limits and KYC. I would love to get some feedback and ideas. The exchange is already finished. But there are thousands of exchanges to choice from, and I don't know if here is a big interested in this idea. Love to hear your side.
in that case, people will choose Binance rather than choosing your exchanges. People don't mind complying with their KYC as long as they know the legitimacy of the exchange. I'd suggest not to use Binance liquidity, this never gives benefits on your side, it is only for Binance. And, might compromise your account in the future.

From what I can see, your intention doesn't make people give trust your project/exchange. I, therefore, see rejections from the people.
1787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH future on: April 07, 2022, 11:34:00 AM
I don't see any significant effect on the price of ETH despite the change in PoW-PoS nor saying the future of ETH has been affected. Coz what I see this is that it only saves the effect to the environment, not the price itself and as well as with the gas fee. But I was seeing from this scenario is that it even adds more interest to the people.
Ethereum will remain the top coin among altcoins, and will still see its persistent performance and so the demand.
1788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 06, 2022, 09:34:55 PM
I think us fans would like to see a super fight, Spence vs Crawford should be next.

But it seems that Spence is not that interested though, and would rather move up to 154 lbs and face other champions. Not sure why is Spence trying to avoid Crawford because they are the two best on the welterweight division and boxing fans deserves this fight, two undefeated fighters all belt on the line.
I think that is a fight that we would all like to see, but as you say it seems Spence is not interested, it could be as we speculate that he is just avoiding Crawford, however there are many other possibilities, like the money not being high enough, wanting a bigger share than what Crawford wants to give him, personal problems between the two or even just a genuine desire to move up a division as he is finding difficult to remain at that weight.

Spence if offered a 50/50 sharing on the fight revenue, I think that's already fair since Crawford is a champion and even has a higher ranking than him. I don't know the real reason behind, but if he is avoiding him, then for sure that's not good as it will not give the fans the ultimate entertainment they are looking.

Crawford really want a blockbuster fight as he is not making big money in his past fights, so maybe now that he is not connected with Bob, he could make his own decision whom he would like to fight.
1789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 06, 2022, 09:19:03 PM
Meralco drew first blood with a score of 104 -91. What an effort by the role players of Meralco especially Aaron Black who scored 12 points with most of it in the third quarter when Ginebra was making a run to close the gap.

Also, the three-point shooting of the Bolts was amazing, making 11 out of 21 attempts, pretty high for a team not known for making a living in the rainbow area.

Who's the lucky guy who bet for the Bolts today?

Same question here? hahaha Grin not sure if something has been cook behind there are post in social media that a tension happen after the game when both teams are going to their locker room, some of my friends who bet form Ginebra are very disappointed and calling it "hulog" as always when bettors can't accept the outcome they will find ways to release that disappointment.

But it's true, that 3 points conversions of Meralco help them to survive this game.

Better luck next time, more money for sure to flows for Ginebra fans and gamblers will expect them to bounce back.

Meralco seemed to be getting the call.  Smiley

1790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 05, 2022, 01:50:20 PM
No. It's people who created a lot of expectations for them. Did they say they will be in the Finals this season prior to opening? Did they say they will be the champion this season? There are lots of people who put good expectations on them without realizing that most part of their roster is already past their prime and seem old to compete except for an aging Lebron James.

Yes, they will come back next season but they have to remove and replace those things that are necessary to remove. Vogel is a pain in the ass and doesn't know how to make effective plays. He is just relying on Lebron too lol.
That's a fact, most fans created a huge expectation with this current Lakers roster (including me), that's clear, most fans were already imagining a final between Lakers and Nets.

Basketball is a box of chocolates, anything can happen. Including Lakers' with poor performance, several players injured during the regular season and there was not that chemistry that "everybody" expected with this ""Dream Team" of the Lakers.

The writing was on the wall with the Lakers from day one.  They constructed the oldest team they could which in nba doesn't work need young legs out there.  If this was 2015 this team would have been amazing but unfortunately it's not lol.  This team was injuries waiting to happen.  The x factor was russ which was always gonna be a bad fit with lebron and AD even though ad never really played.  With those 2 you need off ball shooters and defenders.  GM should be the one who should go.  Vogel was set up to fail to begin with.

Lakers should have stayed with the old roster that won them a championship. Trading a bunch of players for Westbrook turns out a bad idea. Now, their season is over (although not officially) and they need to make changes for the next season, and I'm guessing that WB will be traded again.
1791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are you preparing for bear market on: April 05, 2022, 01:35:38 PM
Crypto can't survive without a bear market, if not everything will remain at one spot and no reason to invest anymore what is the best strategy to prepare for a bear market and at the same time keep making a profit from the present market condition.
I disagree, the market has been getting attention and interest because of its volatile nature. It survives, not because of the bear season, it was because the people have seen the potential.
Prepare? it is uncertain but what I did is to have some funds reserves for the possible bearish season. At the moment that was come, I already have the budget to accumulate coins and certainly, I don't miss the chance.
1792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: April 04, 2022, 12:21:31 PM
Tagoe is 8.6, better odds than sportsbet.

That's a trap, I wouldn't take that 8.6 against Ryan Garcia because we know how capable he is especially against a fighter that has not fought big fights in the US. I'm not saying Tagoe has no chance, but if we are talking of a chance, that should be a slim chance.

Yeah, it could be a trap for us, I know it's very attractive and might be tempting to some because of the huge odds but for sure, you have one foot already on the losing end, very slim change for him to pull an upset against Ryan. We know that Garcia is coming from a long layoff, but it's hard to see him losing against a relatively unknown fighter who hasn't fought anyone at Ryan's level.

You can play around, maybe enjoy a bit by risking a little amount on that, but it's always up to you. A trap that everyone knows Garcia has a higher chance of winning, but greediness on the return will make them lose, I hope they'll not go all in with that odds.  Smiley

It's not that bad to bet a small generous amount on Tagoe winning against Ryan Garcia but for me, I couldn't get myself to bet on that. I mean we already know that it's just a trap that the bookies are trying to set because they know that the Tagoe's chances are only slim and that's why they are making that odds so tempting.

If they go all in, I'm afraid that they will be regretting that decision they made big time!

Tagoe to reach 12 rounds, I think should have good odds. Ryan Garcia is a knockout artist, so bookmakers should give attractive odds for Ryan Garcia win by decision, I think it's more reasonable that betting on Tagoe to upset Garcia.
1793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 04, 2022, 11:42:25 AM
Gordon really stepped up this season, he is now more comfortable with his new team and he is blending very well. Even without Murray, the Nuggets are still a good championship contender, but like in the past playoffs, they should not only rely on Jokic, they have to contribute and show consistency.

Beating the Lakers is easy, but against the Suns, they should consider taking their revenge so they will play harder.
Don't forget Michael Porter Jr. That guy had his moment but just played 9 games this season because of his back injury. I was actually expecting him to be back this post season but according to sports news that might not be the case. Murray and MPJ's return keeps on moving and there's no timeline said of their return. I wish it will be the playoffs when they need every help they could get.
I am glad they took Cousins in because their problem before was Jokic mildly getting to sit and them losing their games because of exhaustion due to lack of good players. He also played a big role for their recent wins.
I don't expect Murray and Michael Porter to be back in the playoffs, the current roster is good enough to play against the strong teams in the NBA. Yes, Cousins is really big help, he keeps his stats with the number of minutes he played only and it was really positive IMO. As long as Cousins will stay healthy, that will give Jokic a good breather that he won't be exausted in the playoffs.
1794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 01, 2022, 09:11:51 PM

Indeed, it is one of those fights that fans all over the world has been waiting. Thought there's no agreement about this in both camps for now but I reckon soon this will be official as Inoue "the monster" have been teasing the public that he's going back in the ring this June. It's just only a matter of weeks from now before we can know who is Inoue referring for. I hope that's going to be against Donaire.

It's been a while and fans really wanted to see actions that both Donaire and Inoue can bring inside the ring, the first fight reminds us how hard Inoue's cheek, even Donaire manage to land good solid blow Inoue just ignore and don't feel that damage, unlike when Inoue convert a solid one, Donaire really felt that and unable to convert any counter.

Let see if how both fighters will prepare and how they will bring another good fight to entertain the boxing world.

Inoue has real strength, he has a solid chin and he can adjust to a given situation. I think in the rematch, Inoue would be more careful as I believe he suffered a serious injury which as the " fractures to his right eye socket (orbital bone)"... I'm not sure if he underdog an operation, but for sure he would avoid that to happen again.
1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 01, 2022, 08:26:36 PM
Is this the end for the current team of Lakers ?
We have to be honest, I'm a Lakers fan but I don't think they would really advance in the playoffs if ever they are lucky to win the play-in tournament. Lebron is not playing anymore, there seems to be no urgency to win by this team, so probably this is a goodbye statement for them.

No LeBron James even he is not injured, then message is clear that the Lakers have given up their hopes to be in the playoffs or even survive on the play-in tournament. I support them in this decision because this is the best for them rather than exhausting themselves even if they know what road they will end.
It's best to scout for new young additional in the team that could really contribute and not just a burden, better to start and invest on them while they're young rather than attempting to build a superteam again.

Anyways, I got my bet. Denver Nuggets -2.5 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Better to rest for now instead of pushing if they already accept that the chance is too slim, they are just going to risk their assets

in case new injury will happen during the game. I agree with you, might be better to invest with young stars and build a team that has

a better chance instead of bringing old stars that are only good in papers. There's no blend of good chemistry up to this close nothing happen

to the team, without Davis, we witness how weak the Lakers are.

Davis was the big missing link for the team, without him we see how the Lakers are struggling. Even having Lebron and WB who are both MVPs, they still cannot succeed because they don't have the chemistry that is necessary to win.

https://kslsports.com/483178/lakers-announce-injury-status-of-lebron-james-anthony-davis-for-jazz-game/

Quote
Los Angeles listed James as “out’ with a a left ankle sprain, via a tweet by Southern California News Group’s Kyle Goon. James suffered his injury on March 27 against the New Orleans Pelicans.

When he is needed the most, he is out, and we don't know when he will come back.

1797  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear vs Bull : The Beauty Of Cryptocurrency on: April 01, 2022, 07:13:49 PM
Just be patient and we will survive in this market whether it is bear season or bull season.
We only need to be patient when it comes to the bear market, but during the bull season, we have to pull the trigger, otherwise, we will miss the opportunity to sell if we keep thinking of more because our greediness will lead us to failure in investing. What I'm trying to emphasize is that, if you have a game plan, play it well by following the plan, not changing it because you are affected by your emotion.
1798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any newly play2earn NFT gaming out there to get into on: April 01, 2022, 03:06:08 PM
@OP, I'm stopping you from finding a new P2E gaming platform but I just to suggest that you'd rather choose the old and existing projects. I believe they are worthy of your time than these new projects.
Tried to consider Axie Infinity which is known and highly recommend, and besides, many gamers could verify it. If you were new to this, you'd rather choose this and so you won't waste your time. It is all about being wise, thinking that we need some assurance and it was indeed some people had already found it.
1799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bounce back to 60k in this year? on: April 01, 2022, 02:17:08 PM
According to my analysis, technical analysis of BTC has started to show its growth, maybe it will test the resistance level at 50K first before continuing or breaking above 50K. Fundamentally BTC is also starting to be positive.
We're moving down at this moment, we're turning back to $45k quiet to see the resistance didn't yet get the rising momentum and just it moves in sideways again.

However, I was still very much positive about the market and I don't have to consider this correction could make everyone going to panic. I'd consider this as an accumulation phase as it really possible that after this correction huge pumps can be happening next. We have to anticipate the market before it was going too late.
This seems the market play, nobody could even predict it right, and most of the time it went wrong. Reaching back to $60k is not impossible however it was just a matter of time, and this year might be difficult. Looking at the price trend, it is quite not to see the uprising momentum keep going, dumps still visible, and this is what we have now.
Though I was positive and very optimistic about the future of Bitcoin, I'd just think also that not all the time we went bullish. We are once done last year and I think this year seems impossible to make it again.
1800  Economy / Speculation / Re: How come BTC is not at least $75,000 yet? on: April 01, 2022, 11:07:03 AM
We have to be patient and don't be in a hurry, we have to reflect on 10 years ago, where bitcoin had absolutely no value, even most people hesitate to enter the world of bitcoin, for fear of new things, because most people think this is a scam, but as time goes by the price of bitcoin is increasing, and everyone is flocking to the world of bitcoin, even last february the price of bitcoin broke through $ 58,000, so if you ask why the price of bitcoin bitcoin has not penetrated the $ 75,000 mark, maybe my answer is because people still doubt about bitcoin, and people are still looking for a safe place, and still choosing banks as a safe place for them to keep their money.
You are right, also that for us to see BTC at $75k it can happen at any time, I dare to say that we have not touched that price range for the simple fact that it is the fundamental of the war, and I think that until it is normalize the situation or at least not reach a diplomatic agreement between the countries will have a slowing effect of the price of BTC going up as we are expecting it, in fact I think that when it goes up, $75k will not be the limit, it will be much more of it , maybe close to $100k. Of course this is just speculation, but it is no secret to anyone that anything can happen in this world situation, and the market moves according to many things, but one of the most influential is emotions.

From what I noticed in the past when people are not thinking of a bull run because they are tired of waiting and have been victims of many bull traps, that's the time when the bull run will come. If you remember the bull run in 2021, I'm pretty sure most of us did not expect that to happen because that was the time when people are struggling financially due to the pandemic.
