Celtics and Grizzlies both did an impressive job by beating Bucks and Warriors last night. Both series are 1-1 now. And I'm really sad about not being able to watch the Grizzlies - Warriors match. I was able to watch the recap at least and I loved the competition level in that. Morant must have been the MVP of the game for sure. Such performance should be appreciated by everyone for sure. He is a very special and important player for Grizzlies now. And if they reach next stage, he will have a big contribution in that.

He already won the MIP (most improved player).... maybe there's also a chance to win an MVP. However, this is the playoffs, his regular season stats is not as impressive as what Luka, Jokic, Embiid, and Giannis have showed, so his best chance to win an MVP is to be in the NBA Finals.

1702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 03, 2022, 04:08:06 PM
Suns and Heat started their series really nicely last night. Suns beat Mavericks 121-114 and Heat beat Sixers 106-92. None of them had a big difficulty in beating their opponents in the first leg and this must be feeling great for them. Actually I can say that Suns - Mavericks was more challenging but Suns still managed to win by a good team play. For Mavericks, Doncic played incredibly awesome. He had 45 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. He was the usual Doncic but they still couldn't win. And the reason why Sixers struggled was Embiid's absence due to his injury of course.

I think it was not an easy match for the Suns and the Heat.

And the start of the 3rd quarter, the Sixers was in front by at least 5 points if I'm not mistaken. The Heat only dominated after that with Herro outside shooting and good defense.

While the Suns took a good lead and seems to be comfortable with a double digit lead, the Mavs suddenly went on a run and close the gap in the last minute of the game. Yes, Luka is big in this game but he has also committed a lot of turn over.

Luka's numbers still nothing if the team loses the game. It's tough to beat a well-organized squad who understands the system well.

Though it's only the first game and adjustments can be done, both Sixers and Mavs will try to find good answers to how their opponents play

the game. Home court advantage is also a plus here, players are being boosted with the loud cheers by the fans, maybe 2-0 and the losing team

will try to bounce once the game switch places.

Suns dominated the Mavs, though Mavs have a big run in the 4th quarter but it wasn't close enough to give them a chance to win, their chance is only to cover the handicap if you know what I'm saying.

It's just game 1 though, let's see if Mavs are more competitive in 2nd game.
They have to understand that Luka alone producing for the team is not gonna work.
Kidd should device a new game plan.
1703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: May 03, 2022, 03:42:56 PM
Anyways, still early for these things but it was quite entertaining to see that Bucks can still handle even though they are undermanned.

If Bucks would win game 2, they might be in the 2nd next to the Warriors. They are really a big threat because they have the heart of a champion, and imagine, Bucks will be playing the Warriors in the finals, how would it go? small ball versus the big line up of the Bucks.
1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs aren't just there yet on: May 03, 2022, 12:04:33 PM
I just heard before that the APE is pumping and now they get hacked? I don't think NFT are reliable and way back before, I already have doubts about this and didn't proceed in jumping into the hypes until now but it seems that the investors are not concerned about what happened which I think they should be concerned as they are an investors and should be aware in this type of news.
No one in crypto guarantees 100% security and even known exchanges are targets for hackers. But I suspected that APE Yacht has been too careless or their security system isn't strong enough that can easily be cracked by hackers that cause big losses. This is what we called risk in depositing our funds to exchanger as they are the most target of these people.

However, this means that its losses its credibility unless lapses have been too bold to see. But to a matter that was only an accident, I don't think we have to lose our trust.
1705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stability of bitcoin on: May 03, 2022, 11:32:52 AM
What will be the faith of bitcoin users if the value of bitcoin becomes stable in May 2022,
The situation seems the same, the rise and fall of the market remain is not unusual to see. And never I think this be changed in the future.
But I don't think the situation looks so worrying, having faith in Bitcoin helps to settle down our emotions and even think optimistic. And instead of thinking about when this bear season ends, we'd rather take this time as an opportunity to buy more coins.

1706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York passed a bill against Bitcoin mining on: May 02, 2022, 03:25:15 PM
If they would like to ban Bitcoin mining, they also have to ban Gold as well. But they don't as it was in their control.

They just point out the high energy consumption but I don't think it is really the reason behind this bill? It was found to be questionable and the judgments seem different but what I think is that they would like to control Bitcoin. In fact, we could notice that governments are supporting centralized exchanges compared to DEXes. This means they have the reason why they hate Bitcoin and would like to stop it.

1707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 02, 2022, 02:32:10 PM
Heat with a -7.5 point spread seems a little disrespectful to the 76ers. Granted they don’t have Embiid but they’re still a good team. It will be tough for them to get the win without their MVP candidate but I think they might be able to cover the spread. We’ll find out tomorrow as I don’t think their odds will get better as the series goes on. The Suns with a -5.5 point spread on the Mavericks is another tricky bet. I think I might have to sit out and see how game 1 goes before counting the Mavericks out.

I did take both of the spread though, I think if Embiid is not going to play (most likely), the Heat can take and win the game even with a double digit advantage.

I was able to go on live betting 2.07 (+1.5) for the Warriors, and it was a thriller, although Klay hit that three to give them a lead, he misses 2 free throws which could have given the win for those who take the -2.5 spread pre-game handicap.

Embiid was already announced not available in game 1, and against a complete roster of the Heat, I find the spread very attractive as a double-digit is possible. It's only tricky if we think that games might be rig and make the 76ers cover the spread since everyone is obviously putting their money on the Heat.

Dallas vs Suns. I'll bet on the road team. ( hopefully a close game) Smiley
1708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 02, 2022, 02:05:38 PM
Bucks is so unstoppable in 3 point area or we can say on overall aspects they really dominate Celtics this time so I guess this will be tough road for celtics knowing Bucks don't have middleton on the line up and how much more if he is there for sure this one will be a huge problem to them.
They have a low percentage in game 1, Jalen Brown which was a big contributor of the team was very much limited in game 1, that is because of the good defense by the Bucks.. Of course, the Bucks will continue the same strategy, Celtics just need to improve their outside shooting.
Yes. I never saw the Bucks played this hard against the Bulls series but now they shifted to a defensive team and it's way better. Boston Celtics will be in big trouble if they will not find any answer for their attacks.
Despite that, I saw players in their team stepping up their game. Horford specifically did a pretty well job managing Giannis to avoid scoring at the paint, but the reaction from his team mates should be fast whenever he will be forced to pass the ball. The three point line were left wide open because of the penetration. I say let Horford handle him one on one and if ever Giannis scores, just live with it and get it back on the offensive end.
They might double Giannis but Bucks have another 2 big men in the court who can find a mismatch. This kind of lineup is used by the Bucks against the Suns in the last NBA Finals if I am not mistaken, and they are now successfully using it on the Celtics. Looks like not having Middleton is quite a blessing is disguise for them to figure out how to dominate their opponents.
Giannis efficiency dropped actually but it makes his teammates better because he always do a kickout pass everytime the double is coming. They need to keep Giannis out in the paint, otherwise, it's an easy shot and worst if they will give him a foul counted shot.
1709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba dump coming? on: May 02, 2022, 01:23:56 PM
Shiba is a token that costs under 1 cent so pump and dump is a very easy thing, this is the reason why we deserve to invest in cheap coins because of the large profit opportunity, Shiba has gone through difficult times and Shiba can stay at the top of the rankings , I believe dumping is a momentary thing that will soon pass.
Not a new thing in the market. Once Bitcoin drops, altcoins will then follow and this is what we saw, every project is in decline, and nothing is exempted.
This year could be another year of worries for newcomers. I hope the current situation will not cause panic selling and every investor will still be thinking positive and remain optimistic or else, the market will fall into another year of terrible drops like in the situation last 2018-2020. We wish not to happen, trust is indeed very needed this time.
1710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How low can BTC go this time around on: April 29, 2022, 02:43:40 PM
It seems less likely that a rapid decline like we saw in November of 2020 could happen It's impossible to say for certain, but I think it is unlikely that BTC will drop significantly in the next bear market right now many are waiting for BTC at a price of $35,000 and then $30,000.

Going down to as low as $35k for me is possible. But if in case, it will go down to 30k, it means, something is going on with the market. But I have high hopes that it won't go down to $30k level. But no one can really tell the fate of btc market. If it will go down to that price, for those who are saying before that they are late in this market, then, maybe, it is your opportunity to buy btc at lower price. If you believe in btc, then you will surely collect some, because the increase is just around the corner.
As the volatility of the market remains, we could say that even reaching the deep at $20k is even possible. However, I'd never been that negative, yet I was still been optimistic about the situation, and it diverse the trend and goes back high again.
I could assume that everyone has been aware of the possible bearish situation and already prepared for the worse scenario. Indeed, we don't need to wait for Bitcoin to drop more as we even don't know, and taking it now seems to be the best time.
1711  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TA or FA which is a better choice for market speculation. on: April 29, 2022, 02:01:46 PM
A better trader is one who can combine both during analysis. But for long term trades the best analysis to rely more on is fundamental analysis. For day traders having a confluence between fundamental and technical analysis can decide which trading pattern to adopt depending on the structure of the market and the time frame you choose. I think both FA and TA goes hand in hand
Indeed, traders must have to use them if we pursue to reach our goal.
But based on my experience, it was been noticed that TA is somewhat very important. Well, having them both gives us the advantage but never we could just think that it all be fine. What just these things help is to have good market judgments but apart aside that, using the other trading tools will somehow give a boost chance.
1712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez Title Unification Fight (April 30) on: April 29, 2022, 12:01:43 PM
Shakur need to be careful on this fight because surely he will have a big problem in the middle of the fight although he has speed and power punches as well but the technique there's a big difference and for me it's quite skeptical if we will make a comparison between two fighters, wherein surely there will be KO and maybe by Valdez.
That's what I wanted to see, technical fighters are boring to watch, except LOMA, so hopefully this fight is going to be a candidate for the fight of the year. I like the fact that they are giving us a good fight, an aggressive fighter versus a technical one, let's see if Shakur would still be able to do his thing when the pressure is high as we all know Valdez just loves to attack.
1713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Klay Thompson @51 for NBA Finals MVP. on: April 29, 2022, 11:22:32 AM
Thus far, I believe that Klay Thompson is the most consistent on the big 3 of the Warriors. The defense was obviously focused on Curry and that will make Thompson open because he is always the first option if Curry would passed, as a result, he will generate more points easily.

So I see the odds, and it's 51, IMO, that's very tempting.

The question is, is it worth taking it?
Well, I'm not sure as well.
But even that, many were too close to see Curry become MVP if they reach the finals. And I'm not certain if they will just base on the points generated upon proclaiming who will be the MVP. However, this may not cause disappointment to whether which among the two will get the reward as their goal is to win the finals as a team, not an individual goal.

It's based somewhat on the performance for the playoff series. And that time, Iggy was really playing very good that's why he won the MVP. And then Durant, we all know that Durant of pre-injury with the Warriors, he is the one who carry the load, remember those dagger 3's he shot against the Cavs? But now it seems that maybe Curry will get his finals MVP nod if the Warriors won this year. Curry at 5.00 odds currently, this is still very attractive.

After a not-so-impressive performance by Klay Thompson in the close-out game against the Nuggets, I saw that odds was back to @51, but it's now back to @41.. Warriors has no game yet, maybe you can see that odds adjusted again and if you are brave, just take it.

BTW, have you ever thought of taking the odds of Giannis? Just in case the Bucks will win a back to back championship, for sure Giannis will win again.
1714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 29, 2022, 06:49:53 AM
Anyone got the Sixers at handicap? Not sure what is the spread but it seems that they are going to cover it as their lead balloon to more than 20 points.

Damn, Raptors losing steam in the 3rd and 4th quarter, I was thinking on betting on them at live, but it's good idea to stay away from this game.

I was watching the live and bet on Raptors +4.5 on the half time break of the game. I thought this will be close game since Raptors is on the verge of elimination and they seems performing well but the momentum of 76ers kill them during the start of the 3rd quarter while Raptors didn’t find an answer to the aggression of 76ers. One of the boring game for todays match unlike Jazz vs Mavs and Suns vs NOLA.

I was also hesitant betting on the Sixers because I thought the Raptors will take it to game 7, but it was the opposite of game 5 that happened in game 6. Actually, of the 3 games that are played last night, all the road teams won, Jazz almost break the trend of that open 3s sink in.

Yeah, that's right, the momentum was on the Raptors but Sixers change it because they don't want to take the game in game 7. It was a blowout win, I didn't  expert but it is what it is, they have already advance in the 2nd round and if we lose in that game, we better continue betting in the 2nd round.

But we didn't see that coming though, suddenly the Sixers pulled away in the 3rd quarter. James Harden has struggled even dribbling the ball. We don't know what kind of inspirational talk coach Doc Rivers did, but it was very effective. So it's good that they are going to advance on the next round

Game 1 and game 2 of the series were evidence that the Sixers can dominate the Raptors as long as they are in rhythm, and that happen in just one quarter which resulted from the Raptors being unable to come back in the game.  I would still commend the Raptors on giving the Sixers a tough competition but they are not a championship team anymore as Leonard is not with them.

CP3 made a history of his own, what's lacking now is winning the NBA Finals which I think not easy to achieved. Suns vs Dallas, this is a good match up because Booker is already back in the line up, but of course I like the underdog here which is the Mavericks.

1717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM Installed in Mexican Senate Building !!! on: April 28, 2022, 08:53:55 AM

Her effort to make Bitcoin legal tender is unlikely to succeed. As reported by U.Today, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador definitely ruled out adopting Bitcoin as a means of payment.

Source of News:
https://u.today/bitcoin-atm-installed-in-mexican-senate-building

What do you think about this news..?
Then it has to say it never makes sense to have Bitcoin ATM installed in their place. This is only beneficial if has been approved and officially legalized by the government and imposed laws that support the use of Bitcoin. However, I don't think the effort is being wasted here, it actually needs time for the president to think about how this could help and be beneficial to his countrymen. If this is given a chance like having a trial period to assess how this it gives impacts their economy, I would expect this to make a change to the decision and become legal.
1718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Dogecoin become the new BTC? on: April 28, 2022, 08:30:16 AM
Is it possible that dogecoin can beat BTC after Elon musk takes over Twitter? Imagine if Dogecoin is well accepted throughout the world then BTC wouldn't this makes Dogecoin the new coin? This might sound too crazy to dream about but that Elon musk guy can make anything possible.
That is absolute, NO. And I don't think that Elon Musk still has a huge influence on the market. He bought twitter but never I think this because he wants to hype Dogecoin again as he did before. People had learned already from the past, that Dogecoin is not a good investment either that investors must look for, instead, it was being ignored.

He made it to manipulate Twitter, not crypto. If ever he hypes another project/s, I think not Doge again, probably a new project.

The question about being worth it is not a question. The question is, do you really think that Klay Thompson has the chance in getting the Finals MVP?  You need to trust your bet since we don't have any reference to look at to somehow increase the chance of it from happening.

Lots of factors to consider before Klay can be a candidate for Finals MVP:

- Golden State Warriors obviously should make the Finals first.
- There are lots of gunners in the Golden State Warriors that are also worthy to become a Finals MVP.
- Choosing the Finals MVP is only for the Finals game. Even Klay becomes a monster in the playoffs, that won't count when choosing the Finals MVP.
- Igoudala, even not the main scorer got the MVP Finals before because not just in points, but he also has a great contribution on other stats during the Finals, compare to Steph Curry who mostly, had his big production was on the part of scoring.

But before that, they need to dispose the Nuggets first. Right now, the Nuggets are competing very well compared to the last two games, looks like they already know how to minimize the production of the Warriors as they only both scored 48 in the first half.

@OP, trust your instinct, besides, you don't have to put a lot of money with that kind of odds, just do it for fun and enjoy the winning in case you are right, but if you lose, for sure you can easiy accept it.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: April 28, 2022, 02:42:40 AM
It seems in paper, this could be a very difficult fight for another Filipino boxer. His Mexican opponent is good, no doubt about it. But one thing that can you say about Filipino's is that they have a big heart. So I'm expecting that Mark will give everything in this fight, he might fall short though against Vargas. But who knows, maybe he will bring his A game and knock out this dude out.
Indeed, he has a big heart because he beat Ceja although he was struggling and in the next fight he beat Russell but people are telling he won because Gary Allen Russell Jr was injured, so it's his time to prove now and he has to beat the challenger to clear the doubts of some people about his capability as a champion.
