2661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 21, 2022, 01:49:24 PM
^^ There is a lot of pressure of Vogel right now, literally his job is on the line. Although if James might have swayed the Lakers management to let Frank stay maybe after the All-Star break I reckon before making the final decision.

I think the errors are killing the Lakers and they don't know how to hold a team in the fourth quarter. James is asserting himself, but he needs to score more every game to give them at least a good chance to win every night. The game against the Magic will be tough as this is on the Magic home court.
2662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 21, 2022, 11:17:50 AM
Murray vs Daniel will also be next, Andy is the favourite per ML, but I will go over 35.5 @1.91 boosted. I think this will be an extended game and will not be easy for Murray to win.

As we might have expected, Murray is struggling and is a set down against an opponent ranked #120 in the world.
The problem is not his ability, it's his recovery... a long 5-set win in the last round against a top player was always going to take it out of him, it's the same as we saw last season, a great win against a top player is almost always followed by a real struggle against a much lower ranked player.

I feel bad for Murray, but from a betting perspective there is a clear pattern.
He is down 0-2 sets already, but leading in the 3rd set, maybe he will rally in the 3rd and at least win a set. But it's going to be very difficult for him it this is going to last for a 5th set. And if ever he will win, he will have to fight the next day and we all know that as we gets old the recovery of our body is slowing down.

As for the over bet, well at least Murray needs to win this set so that you will get a win. But if Daniel wins, then the bet is lost.
Murray lost that break and it does not look good for him. Wanted to watch a  bit of that match but how when there is Medvedev - Kyrgios on at the same time? Some really interesting shots in this one, Kyrgios with his under arm serve and some great volleys, both with some strange but effective shots, good serving and even better returning. And of course Kyrgios complaining about serve clock, public, ref....you know the drill. Great watching for sure.

Yeah, too bad that Murray has lost and the game was not extended.

I can feel you, I haven't watch women's tennis for a while, but it's good to see Timelord2067 making money on the ladies tournament.

The Alcaraz vs Berrettini match though, it was really very close but no surprise that Berrettini got the win at the end.

I have a Bautista-Agut and Rublev at a parlay.
2663  Economy / Speculation / Re: are we going to have "fear" months? on: January 21, 2022, 10:28:22 AM
Is this month is a time of fear for you just because we drift sideways to negative then sure we will have this fear.  Overall Bitcoin has been quite steady even while retracting in its gains, its still risen over 6 months, over a year and anything but this near term disappoint its been fine.  I would call it more dismal then anything more dramatic.
It's pretty subjective to say though, for some I am pretty that they're probably going to see it as an opportunity to buy at a lower price but given how not everyone thinks this way and only a few see this kind of months as an opportunity, I would still agree that fear months are real. For me it's the opposite though, it's the greed months.

Maybe some doesn't have the money right now to buy or others are really afraid and very reluctant.

But if you have experience and see the long bear market the last time and then went on a bull run price of $69k last year, you can say that it is indeed a good time to buy an then just hold for years.

So now another decline, below $40k now and we don't know what will be the extend of this downturn. Hopefully we can get back to the support of $40k and not really goes to $36k because that is going to be scary for the majority.
2664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the highest gas fee you have ever paid? on: January 20, 2022, 01:46:56 PM
Around $100 dollars for me, but I didn't do the transaction because I'm thinking that the gas fee is too steep. But the price of the coins keeps going up and when the time that it went all time high, it's already x5 of that price. So it become $500 gas fee for me so I don't have a choice but to go with it because I wanted to see my token at the highest price possible.
2665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 20, 2022, 12:51:50 PM
I really wonder until when Lebron will have to carry the team. He tried to do it again against Pacers this time but they lost the game by 111-104. Lakers have been in a very bad form recently. They were able to win only once in their last five games. And this form affects their position in the conference standings too. If they don't start collecting themselves, they might be under the risk of not being able to qualify for the playoff round. And this really wouldn't make Lebron happy at all.

Not recent though, we have been seeing how bad the team is, even at the pre-regular season. But others give it a pass for the Lakers since it's just pre-regular games. But since we are more than halfway of the regular seasons and they are below .500 mark and in the bottom half of the playoff draw, it's obvious that they are really in a bad form.

Of course he will always try every game to bring a win for the Lakers, but the others will have to step up and help him. AD has been missing though, so that a big void to fill in. But at least veterans like Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony should help Lebron and be consistent.
2666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2022: Bullish or bearish for crypto? on: January 20, 2022, 11:20:56 AM
The beginning of January looks bearish, market has been sideways, probably will remain this way till the end of this month, but i read somewhere that "btc hash rate is at ATH at the moment which means the mining difficulty will be at ATH too" which also indicate a possible bull run, the exact time is not stated but it means the market will not remain bearish for long, there will be a turn around, people just need to be patient.

Agree, it really looks like very bearish at this point. As for the hash rate, the only thing that I read is that it is dropping because of the Kazakhs issue on mining that's why it drop resulting into the price going down as well.

Not sure if it has go back to the normal now or if the electricity problem has been solved in Kazakh because it cornered around 20% of bitcoin mining. So the market looks very negative right now that's why there is no price movement since the start of the year.
2667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 20, 2022, 10:47:55 AM
WBC Pres Sulaiman said it's not final

Quote
“It’s an official WBC [eliminator], not final,” Mauricio Sulaiman, longtime WBC president informed Boxingscene.com in clarifying the matter.

https://www.boxingscene.com/wbc-president-thurman-barrios-an-official-eliminator-not-final--163542

So it's better for Thurman and Barrios not to think about it as this could put pressures on either of them. Just play with it and go and fight and see who is going to win. And maybe we wait what will be the WBC's decision after the fight.

Maybe Thurman shouldn't let the public know, so we don't know what he blurted out that information in public when everything is not final yet.

So maybe WBC will now says otherwise, so they could have lost that chance to be the next fighter against the winner of the Spence Jr vs Ugas. Sometimes it's better to keep our mouth shut and let the WBC tells it to the public. Now Keith derails all the plans.
2668  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Deep before the Raise on: January 20, 2022, 07:00:47 AM
If we are waiting on the FED then it will take several months to pass.  The reason being bearish takes in speculative trades right now are in the perception or anticipation of future moves, the idea of QE retracting.   None of that is in effect yet, just the fear of it however I think the idea that the FED will run hard money is ignoring just how hard that would be to do.   They are only just discussing reducing active QE, it has to stop and reverse before rates can rise especially.
The actual situation is inflation and easy money continues, rates will not top  inflation especially for years.   So we are just talking about speculative sentiment retracting and in future likely advancing once again, probably in 2022 I think its realized that easy money is not about to disappear but it may take the whole year.   Obviously hard events like wars will alter that outlook.

We can also see at how the traditional stocks are moving, if they are somewhat in the positive trend, then it could have an effect on bitcoin's price because I believed that they have some sort of correlation.

Anyhow, seems to be in the middle ground for me, which no clear movement as to where the price will be. But I don't know, I have a feeling that we might be in for a bearish run this year. Not unless there is going to be some positive news again to turn the sentiments into a positive outlook.
2669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 20, 2022, 06:29:51 AM
Did you guys see the point when Busta made a break today? Never seen something like this, his opponent hit smash with border of the racket and ball got wicked rotation and jumped back into his own half. Busta saw what will happen and run around the net to make the point. Everything by the rules but very rare to see.

No, but I watched it on YT and yea its a very strange one, Pablo did well to read that
play and win the point making sure not to touch the net himself.

Griekspoor's smash off the racket frame created massive backspin so as it bounced in
to make the point it headed back over the net, Carre o Busta had to hit that point to win,
it doesnt matter from where.

https://youtu.be/KKw0DdCFbM0

Wow i never seen anything like this in my life this is something that is for the first time seen in tennis history honestly.
But i dont know how legal it is i think there is a rule if your racket goes over the net into the opponents field you lose the point i think. He went around but still was in his half. I dont know if im on point but still this is insane.

Yeah, how insane it is, but I think it is legal as long as the racquet didn't touch the net.

Tsitsipas vs Baez in the next 30 minutes, I put a good bet on Tsitsipas -8.5, I think he can cover this handicap against Baez.

Alcaraz vs Berretini - this might be a good game to watch, and I'm betting on the over on this game as this game might extend to either 4 or 5 sets.

It's a tough one for Tsitsipas, the game scored: 7-6, 6-7 going into the 3rd set. So it will be tough for him to cover that spread, just saying.

Murray vs Daniel will also be next, Andy is the favourite per ML, but I will go over 35.5 @1.91 boosted. I think this will be an extended game and will not be easy for Murray to win.
2670  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency status at the beginning of the year on: January 19, 2022, 01:48:13 PM
You do not need to worry as the positive things for crypto will come soon. You need to prepare yourself by buying many potential coins, including bitcoin, and not panic and decide to sell at a low price. This year could be the same as previous years as the correction still occurs after reaching the highest price and we still do not know when it will be over. Hopefully, this situation will not stay longer and will bounce up to the high price after it back to the low price so we can expect to profit later.
The decline in crypto prices that is happening now is a common thing that happens every year, we can see last year the crypto market also experienced the same thing as what happened this year, but after the decline in bitcoin prices actually returned to a positive track and even at its peak bitcoin was recorded to have reached ATH in November last year, as you said, the current price decline could actually be an opportunity for us to increase our crypto portfolio at a low price, so there is no need to panic at this time and we just need to be patient if the market will improve again.

But there is also that scenario wherein the price really took a dive the whole year and there is no recovery in site, and this is called a bear market.

And this is what we might going to see in the next couple of years in the market is not going to recover this year. As the market is in a cycle, last year we have enjoyed a all time high of $69k and now it seems that the price is really going down hard and it could be the start of a bear market.
2671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 19, 2022, 01:05:38 PM
I think the Warriors shows their strength at home and it seems that Klay is slowly getting into the growth. He has a buzzer beater at the end of the first quarter and then some good shots as well.

I like how Stewart played though, another big man, if only Detroit will have a solid players around Cunningham next year, for sure they will go places.
2672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 19, 2022, 12:38:08 PM
Yes, that's for real and that's why making sure that he's at the fittest of his medical condition should be verified before the fight. So, there will be no more excuses as if he's not fit when he fought or he's feeling not well during that match. Well, the committee won't really allow it to happen as it puts the boxer in harm and threat and it's going to be their liable if they allow that to happen.

They are really strict when it comes to the boxer's health before the fight because if they blindly let them fight with any one of them having some sort of fever or any medical condition that would make them prone to any fatal injury, they would be the one who suffers because there are already boxers who fought even though he's not in a condition to do so which lead to his demise and the referee also cannot take the blame himself and decided to kill himself by suicide. This is the thing they don't want to experience again that's why they are extra careful when it comes to their boxer's conditions.
It's also the responsibility of the boxer to check himself before the match. And upon seeing that Casimero himself can't do the match, he did the right thing of informing it.
Those boxers that have fought and just followed the known quote of "the show must go on", they're careless and they've chosen their fate. Pride is no longer that needed if the health of the boxer is at stake.
I think it was a different case for Casimero, he was not really feeling well during the weigh-in date and has to go to a doctor for a check-up. Those you mentioned might have problems with the weight though, but then they don't have a choice but to go to the weigh-in and then either stripped of the belt, because of weight issues, or there could be penalty clause in they don't make the weight like -10% on their purse. But they have to go and show and fight.

True, but we don't know how Casimero got the virus (if I'm not mistaken), so he really needs what he takes into his system or at least some on his team should ensure that everything won't affect his body otherwise it will have a dent on him just like what happen as he had to go and check with a doctor and then the fight getting postponed. So hopefully they've learned from this big mistakes.
2673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 19, 2022, 12:17:21 PM
A lot of problems for Shapovalov against Soonwoo Kwon - they played 3 tie-brakes in the first 3 sets. Shapovalov eventually managed to break a few times when needed but he is probably very tired after a game like this.
He is playing Opelka next - won't be easy for him but it's a match I am looking forward to.

It was indeed a 5 setter win for Shapovalov, a comeback win for him. He was down a 2-1, but he had to rally and win the last 2 sets. And I think that's what separates him from the game. Kwon lacks experienced  and when Shapovalov win in the 4th 7-5, he just melted away in the 5th set.

After easily beating Kokkinakis, Hanfmann was easy prey for Nadal. He did not have great opposition so far but has started really strong. Let's see him against Khackhanov.

Nadal was really the favourite on that game, and if I'm not mistaken, the handicap opening was -10.5 for him to win against Hanfmann. It might be a tough one coming up next for him against Khachanov, but I think Nadal will win in straight sets again.
2674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 17, 2022, 11:31:07 AM
^^ I might tail you on this one, when the Lakers is against a team that is on top or at least has a better winning record, they usually lose the game.

So I agree with this bet, no need to overcomplicate things, maybe our instinct or at least some data that can really help us to beat against the Lakers vs the Jazz.
2675  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any favorite superstititions when trading crypto on: January 17, 2022, 10:58:08 AM
I don't think that anyone, even those who believed in higher ups that it can influence any like in crypto trading or gambling, that's why it is called superstitions.

In any case if it does, then it's just by luck. But I will have to admit that in gambling I do believed in some but I know deep inside everything is based on pure luck alone and no one can really alter the reasons in your favour because you believed that it will happen with the help of some unseen entities.
2676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 17, 2022, 10:31:19 AM
Well, Magsayo is the challenger, he should be the aggressive, he cannot win if he cannot convince the judges but the better way to convince them is to KO Rusell, that's hard to do but it's possible if he study his opponent and train hard for this fight.

Judges would always favor the champion if the challenger is not aggressive enough unless it's pretty obvious that he boxes out the champion which we only see in rare cases. Since Magsayo is a knockout puncher, I expect a knockout in this fight, hopefully the champion will be the recipient of the KO punch.

I'm also expecting a KnockOut win, of course by our own Magsayo but Gary Russell is a tough one. We might see Magsayo dominating his previous opponents with that speed and power but those opponents are nowhere to the skills of the champion, Gary Russell. That will be the first time for Magsayo to face a dominant opponent in his career so everything will be new to him.

Just stay humble though. I like Magsayo's being optimistic but he should just show that on the ring, not via statement or speech.

Filipinos are not good in speech, lol.. They are good in the ring because actions speaks louder for them. I will root for him no matter how underdog he is, I know there's a value of my money on that odds and I don't mind losing also, that's a way to support, risk some money for the one you are leaning with.

I think it's about the language barrier though, it's not only Filipinos, but there are a lot like Mexico and Puerto Rican boxers and some European boxers who have difficulty expressing themselves.

Nevertheless it is not a barrier, like Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez and Loma (both who improved their English proficiency already).

Hopefully Mark would go to his hardship but it will not deter him to be a good boxer in the future.
2677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 17, 2022, 09:44:37 AM
Ben Simmons rumors are heating up...  I'm hearing that Sacramento might be willing to deal Fox now and that they might also be willing to take Harris' contract which is a bit ridiculous.  There's also supposedly a 3rd team that will be involved, but we'll have to wait and see.  Interesting that Simmons to Sacramento seems to keep coming back into play.  I think he really wants to be in California and is willing to play for the worst team in California to try and make that happen.  It seems like Fox is probably the best player that they'll be able to get back as well, so I think that is ultimately what the end result will be.

I thought initially that if they are going to get Simmons, they are going to partner him with Fox in Sacramento. But it seems that they have change their narratives? But I think its a win win for both teams specially if they will include Tobias Harris in the trade. Again, dealing Harris is for long term for the Sixers as they will clear their salary cap enough to get another big names in the future.

Win-win if both will maximize the worth of each player.

I doubt or I don't see the value of Harris. It will be a good trade for Sixers as like what you have mentioned they will unload big salary
cap which eventually will allow them to allocate more space and sign new star.

Though, hopefully Simmons deal will materialize so we can see him back in action, not a big fan, but I love players who can act two-way roles.

Perhaps Harris can bring the needed experience is indeed he will be included in the trade here.

He may not be what the Sixers expected him to be when they acquire him, but he could be a 10-15 ppg in Sacramento. And yeah, unloading him in Sixers will get them a good cap next year enough to get and sign a new superstar.

It's really interesting as where Simmons will go, I guess some of us wanted to see him play this season.
2678  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bullish Scenario - Minimum will reach $75000 on: January 16, 2022, 12:06:42 PM
I think a bullish bitcoin scenario will occur in this year to reach the target price of $75000. Although the bitcoin market is still tending to be depressed since the beginning of December 20221 until now after a sharp sell-off. However, I think as early as 2022 now, I predict that Bitcoin price will appear to be on an upward trajectory of up to $100,000 at least in Q1 2022. Therefore we expect at the start of this new year, bitcoin price to rebound again.

Everyone wanted the price to rebound again, unfortunately, at the start of the year, the bullish market is but all gone now and has been replace by the bearish market. And I tend to agree that history might repeat itself again, like 2018 wherein it is the start of a long and bearish cycle after hitting $20k as ath. Sorry to burst the bubble but I disagree with you, it will be very difficult to rebound and reach a upward trajectory of $100K.

Well, that's what the whales and institutes want from retail that they become completely disappointed on the bullish market and sell all their holding thinking the bear market is started and the price will go further down. That will be the right time when whales will push the price up and then retail will again enter at the high , probably at the time when bitcoin will be near its peak.

The game has really change a lot when whales started to enter the market in the last couple of years. They really started and change the rules sort of.

All we retail investors and traders do is to follow those whales although our emotions most of the time takes over sell our stash and then this whales getting it under our nose. Sometimes it's better to stay on the ground and not sell and panic even if the price is going down to not give the whales opportunities to score from us.
2679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Local league or international league on: January 16, 2022, 11:28:45 AM
What are the advantages and the disadvantage of the two of the matches to bet on, I know a lot of local football leagues on the betting site and they offer big odds and also the International league such as the Fifa world cup and lalliga, which of this will you advise a newbie to football getting to choose from?

I'm sure really sure if there is an advantage/disadvantage. If you both follow the local and international league then definitely you will now the competition itself.

Of course, if you are starting then a local league will be the go and see how it goes for you. And then if you have even knowledge of the international leagues then you can shift your focus and try your luck and hopefully you will get huge money as usually international leagues offer good odds.
2680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2022 bear market? on: January 16, 2022, 10:46:51 AM
Yeah we could be in the bear market short term, but perhaps in the middle of the year we might see some recovery on the price.

Probably the price will go down as low as $20k (which is the previous all time high in 2017), so for the majority is is not cheap, but we can still take that advantage and fill our wallets.

In any case, everyone should be prepared for the worst, it might not soon good, but we all know that the market works in cycle.
