2661  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin a good investment in this pendamic situation? on: July 11, 2021, 11:29:42 PM
Certainly, it is if you still have the spare money. Actually, crypto investment is not just the best or good during the pandemic but in all seasons. We can't just deny that the pandemic makes the crypto market getting strong as we are more on online transactions. in fact, we can see that the number of investors is currently growing, this means that despite the crisis that we have now, people are still seeing a huge opportunity on crypto and that you need to think of. If that they will able to see the good in here, then possibly that will also happen to you.
2662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find good ICO's and new projects in general? on: July 11, 2021, 10:59:19 PM
I always hear about people making these insane profits from crypto by investing on release. But how exactly do you find legit ones from the fakes? I was told there are mostly purely fakes.

Any advice is appreciated.
Don't get fooled by those gossips, some get big rewards by investing shitcoins during the bullish season but many were dumb to lose their money because of blindness.

Honestly, to find a good ICO nowadays is 50/50, that gonna be challenging for sure and if we can make a deep search on a particular project that we plan to invest in, I'm afraid they will just invest for nothing.

The good advice for you is to look for a project that already has a working product, that gonna be our assurance that it will survive.
2663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are comfortable investing in government controlled investments on: July 09, 2021, 08:36:11 PM
In my opinion, government-controlled investing is safe from loss or loss, but there is a downside if we invest in fiat, the value only increases by 3-10% in 1 year, in contrast to bitcoin if it has gone up, you can get 100% profit or even more.
too many bitcoin weaknesses in my opinion, hacker threats, price drops, scams and much more

and it all depends on which trust is more comfortable in investing because everyone's views are different
Even it was controlled by the government the word safety from losing had no assurance to any form of investment. Maybe they are after that they are protected but not that they can't experience losses. And they are paying more taxes every year.

Volatility is one reason why many don't choose Bitcoin and they are afraid to lose their money instantly. That is why this kind of investment isn't for everyone but only those risk-takers and those who can afford to lose their money without regrets. But somehow we just mess up because the thing that we think is risky (Bitcoin) is more profitable than stocks and bonds.
2664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: July 09, 2021, 03:22:40 PM
I like coming back here in the gambling discussion even if there is no posting requirement that I post here in the gambling section I just want to get updated on the boxing matches which I always participated in the discussion and also on a discussion about the gambling habit, I'm not into sports betting and I seldom participate on this kind of topics.

For me, I would be more interested to participate in a topic if I bet on a certain game or fight. I'm a sports bettor but I don't consistently gamble and since we talk about a certain topic in a "gambling discussion" board, I believe learning how to gamble is a basic requirement to have a productive conversation.
2665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 21 July is going to big for btc price? on: July 09, 2021, 02:49:00 PM
The news about China is still bigger than that news, we can speculate on what will be the market effect but we can never deny that we face the biggest bad news this year already. We need bigger news than talk, a simple talk news will not drive the price up, it should be a formal or official announcement on the result of the meeting as long as it's positive.
2666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 09, 2021, 02:08:36 PM
-
Even people who are into cryptocurrency will have a hard time convincing people to engage in it while Pacman owns some crypto, I don't think he has deep knowledge about this stuff. He might have been used as an endorser of some coins as he is a big name but I doubt he understands the "use-case" of the coins he promotes.

The key factors for Pacman to win is focus on training which I think will not be on his this time around.

Have you seen Youtube videos showing the everyday training of Pacquiao? (Just one example who regularly posts - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FhqP4oJjPQ ) It seems that he is pretty serious with his training. As usual, he always draws crowd on him. This is really an interesting fight to watch out for. And the lawsuit seemed not discussed anymore. Maybe, they already settled or will have talks after this Spence fight.

When Pacman trains, he gives his all as f there is no tomorrow, that is the best trait Pacman have IMO.

Speed and power seem to be on Pacquaio's side but the endurance and stamina will be questionable as he is old now.

I've got my basis on that, if you look at the Thurman fight, he faded away on the second half of that fight. If not for that knockdown, Thurman could have win that fight.

That's true, but what matter is he won the fight, Thurman is undefeated at that time, he is a good boxer as well like Spence, and I think Pacman had learned from that so they'll double the effort in training and we might see the same outcome which is the win. Young vs old, we know that the stamina of Pacman reduces already, but he is in shape, that's enough to win the fight.
2667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 09, 2021, 01:12:11 PM
The bucks don't know what hit them, three points are coming from everywhere when the bucks are closing in, paul make points and plays for the team, what a game by the suns, the bucks offense are good but the suns are flawless, they step on the gas when the bucks are making a rally, and doing it beautifully with nice plays, booker also played well tonight and supporting cast of the suns, no way that bucks can overcome that offense.

The chance of the Bucks here is if the Suns will miss 3 point shots. Maybe they should put more defense, on the guards as they are really a great shooter.
Phoenix shoots 20-40 or 50% from 3 point line in game 2, that's unacceptable, Bucks should improve their defense as the Suns are easily getting good looks.

There's no need to clag down inside as the Bucks had an advantage to that due to Giannis and Lopez's height.

They limited Ayton with 10 points only but they allow the 3 point shooters an easy look.
2668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: July 09, 2021, 12:51:55 PM
@Tumanggor, you are joking, your over computed the winning.

Well, I haven't played in a lottery from a trading site yet because I have not seen one.
I use Binance, Kucoin, and even a small exchange but they have no lottery game.

Yobit has a dice game (not lottery) but I'm not into it as I don't trust it.
2669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are some interesting ways you've introduced bitcoin to your friends? on: July 09, 2021, 11:07:43 AM
Telling our friends how Bitcoin changes our lives is a more interesting story rather than telling them the uses and market features of Bitcoin.
I remember my early days in the forum and tell one of my friends what I am doing, but as expected, they never believe in Bitcoin and he tells me, just show me first how it changes your life. And now that he saw huge changes in my life, then he gets back and tells me, I want to join...

It is too easy to introduce Bitcoin to our friends but it was too hard to convince them until they will found out. There is no interesting way to introduce Bitcoin to our friends aside from showing them what happen to us IRL.
2670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What features should a good altcoin project have? on: July 09, 2021, 10:41:06 AM
In my opinion, altcoins provide features that are useful in the real world for many people, such as security, economy, environment-friendly, fast and have good innovation and progress.
There are so many altcoins nowadays, you can choose old proven projects. It's more profitable
Yes, and don't forget to always choose old Altcoins that already have real products and use cases that are really useful in all societies because such Altcoins will not die easily and always have good potential when the market goes bull.
But to tell you that not all old coins are promising and it was not the basis in choosing which altcoins to invest instead, we have to look at its current market trend and volume because in that we way we can simply think what would its possible trend in the future. I believe that those coins who already have a working product will able to compete in the market but this will not sure that everything will be meant so good and profitable.
But for me, I mostly choose those altcoins that have been in the known and reputable exchanges aside from what you have mentioned.
2671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is recovering, what steps are you taking? on: July 08, 2021, 09:19:34 PM
I would do nothing, because i don't think the market is clear yet, to be honest, this little rally is a trap recently, luring people into the market in my opinion. This trick has been in use since the end of May, and while the price of bitcoin hasn't changed much, the altcoins have fallen a lot.
Altcoins are so curious really, apart from a few big ones like ETH and BNB, I cannot really trust many altcoins in the market because when the BTC was going bull in the early months of this year, all the altcoins except for a few were sitting relatively stable like Tron didn't move as much as I expected and believed.

Why only looked on TRON, sure you can see a lot of altcoins that made a new ATH and some even pumped more than what BTC has increased in terms of percentage, so it's really work taking a risk investing on altcoins because they also have the potential to bring big profits.

If the market is recovering, then that's a good sign, but currently I don't see a real recovery yet.
2672  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody here sell their Gold to buy Bitcoin? on: July 08, 2021, 12:09:41 PM
Ever since I'd never make any investment until I found Bitcoin in early 2016. Of course, doubts and uncertainty are there and I can't even imagine if I could hold this long or sell it back. But I have a friend trying to convince me to hold until the next Bullrun, I don't know when because I'd never ask. But I follow what he said until the moment has come last 2017, yeah, it is a big day for me and I was so thankful to my friend.

Now I realize that investment is a need of courage and trust, either we invest in gold or Bitcoin, it is still be needed. After I sell my Bitcoin, I use some of it to invest in gold but I was surprised that until today, it didn't happen to double my capital, unlike Bitcoin.
2673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What effect does a growing number of altcoins have on Bitcoin on: July 08, 2021, 11:46:13 AM

So what could be the long term effect of having more altcoins on the market, will they help build or break bitcoin?

Could exchanges play a major role in ensuring shitcoins don't get to see daylight to protect coins that are established to grow?
What I could say is that it doesn't matter how many altcoins will be created as it never affects the market trend of Bitcoin and I know that Bitcoin will go to the moon in no specific time frame. It is not game-changing I think because investors had already known what particular coin they will invest and they surely don't bother themselves to waste their time looking for nonsense projects. Because at the end of the day, they will still choose Bitcoin over the others.
2674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: July 07, 2021, 10:00:35 PM
Altcoins can be a great option, we can use TRC20 USDT and pay only 1 USD per transaction, gambling sites just need to add it to their payment method so gamblers will have a lot of options. As a gambler, we always look for cheap fees and fast transactions and the only answer is the altcoins, actually, it's easy, let's just educate ourselves and we can gamble without a problem regardless of the market situation.
If the casino does not have TRC20 or still uses ERC20 USDT, we can use the other altcoins and hopefully, Dogecoin is available on the casino.
Some casinos have DOGECOIN, however, due to the increase of DOGECOIN price, that would mean you also have to pay a high value of transaction fee, and for me, it's not attractive for gamblers especially if a gambler does not have a lot to gamble, they'll always look for alternative to save on fees.

I think we can see that many casinos have that coin so we can use Dogecoin to gamble. Compare to USDT use TRC20 than Dogecoin, I prefer to use Dogecoin because the fee is not too high and the highest fee that I already pay is about 15 Dogecoin when the price is low.

When the price is low, but what if based on the current price?

DOGECOIN is currently valued at 0.2302 USD, so that's 3.453 USD if you pay 15.. still TRC20 (USDT) is still lower as you'll only pay 1 USD.
2675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 07, 2021, 09:47:12 PM

But you don't like to be 0-2, at least the Bucks should adjust next game. Booker taking advantage of the switch and dance with Brook Lopez and getting fouled. Paul was shooting horrendous in the first quarter, but once he got his touch, it's smooth sailing for him. Holiday is a good defender, but the problem is that he might be playing good defense on CP3, but his offense suffer. Giannis should carry the team in game 2 and not let the Suns build a good lead.

Holiday's production is missing fatigue will surely affects him since he's been assigned to take care of Paul.

Lots of adjustment is really needed in part of Bucks, they should play together both offense and defense not to allow Booker and Paul to keep finding the mismatch and take it stronger to produce more points.

Most of the time home team keeps taking the advantage, hard challenged for the Bucks to snatch one win inside the Suns home court,.

I think it's also important to make Giannis find a mismatch and abuse it inside since it's where he has the advantage, they are playing with two big guys, I wonder how they can't take care of the inside points when Ayton is not even taller than Lopez. For sure, Giannis could score against Ayton, or anyone on the Suns roster, so maybe he is just starting to get back his confidence but overall, he played a good game 1, it's just that the team effort is really lacking.
2676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do whales manipulate the market? on: July 07, 2021, 01:10:39 PM
It is not a secret anymore that whales are often manipulating the market with their wealth.
They are often join or invite other whales to manipulate the market.
Just think about signal group or other pump and dump group, there are many crpytocurrency signal groups in telegram.
Imagine if there are some signal groups, the members are whales, and only have 1 purpose, to manipulate the market.
I hope that was clear to everyone. We are not against the whale's participation as they are also the same as wanting to make money in here. The Crypto market is big enough that everything will be controlled and manipulated by whales that is why they have to create groups to make their wants become possible (pump and dump group). If we are not careful dealing with these groups, we are simply making ourselves get caught with their traps.

It is so simple, stay away from the signal group but instead to make your won destiny in crypto.
2677  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk Management in trading cryptocurrencies ...?? on: July 07, 2021, 12:32:55 PM
The question on risk management is a difficult one because its all about risking your account, yet if you risk very little your gains will similarly be very small. The point is, you trade wisely. Don't risk too small or too much. Risk what you can lose comfortably
If you aren't knowledgeable and wise with your trading, even if you risk a small amount when trading, it doesn't guarantee that you will gain a profit let alone a small profit. I say that assess yourself first before going in trading, try to assess your patience, risk tolerance, experience and knowledge before going to trade.
nevertheless, it is a sort of trading preparation and if we don't want to lose our funds because of our ignorance and market NO-HOW, it is a must to acquire before to start. We have to remind ourselves that there is a joke in trading and a simple mistake will bring you huge losses or worse.

Risk management could be hard to understand how it helps us but as we are in a crisis and troubled, we can appreciate it much more what we can imagine. It just needs to work on it.
2678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 06, 2021, 09:39:07 PM
Even if you are good, if there are distractions in life there is no way you are going to dedicate your full time into it while his opponents only aim is to compete at the highest standards and thereby build a reputation by defeating Manny Pacquiao.

I agree here. Now that he's now in USA to start his official training, I hope he will keep focus on it although it's hard to erase what's on his mind about those things he left on the Philippines and those things he will faced once he come back.

If only Pacquiao start making noises on the politics after the fight, it's much better so he can focus with the fight. He is rushing things to build his name in politics.

I'm sure that he could not focus on this training as he will be attending some inquiries in the Philippine Senate for the graft accusations he threw to some agencies, though virtual but still causes him to be stressed out.

Maybe he deliberately do this to have alibi after he loses this fight hehe.

He's doing it on purpose and this fight might also be part of that plan, we know he's running for presidency and that's normal in politics. Anyway, he's already starting his training and as per his coach, he's in a good condition and ready to face Spence on a possible knock out match. The result will be different here, that politics thing will not affect the performance of Manny, his team can handle that politics side.

Yeah he do this on purpose since he wants money and fame, he surely think that if he can win this fight he can gather honor to the country plus he can take millions of dollars which he can use for his campaign. I believe this issues could really affect  his fight since imagine how people badly condone his current behavior so I expect that he will be pressured to  prove his self that his right and emotional stress could affect his performance this time. Hopefully we can see him win but I really don't like what he is doing know on politics.

Running for presidency requires big money,  and we all know Pacquiao is capable of spending what is needed as he is a billionaire in the Philippines. With what he will make in this fight, the guaranteed purse is $5 million for him, so he will make more or less 250 million PHP, and PPV is not included yet.

Easy money for him, but regardless of how much he will make, still unlikely he will win in politics.

The funny thing is, Manny is favored to win in any boxing fight but he is a big underdog in politics.

That says, you cannot be good in everything.
2679  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Go for Another All Time High This Year? on: July 06, 2021, 09:23:01 PM

You cant tell on when news specially hype and fud would happen where it is the greatest factor that could led to change of market trends.
So you should be prepared no matter what situation you might fall into.

We already witness the bull run, we should also be prepared to face the bear market.

There are only two sides of the market situation in crypto, one is bullish, and the other is bearish, it should always be that way as the market is always volatile. If you can't handle it during the time it's bearish, then you don't deserve it when the market is bearish.
2680  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Next 10 years of Bitcoin? on: July 06, 2021, 01:31:10 PM
I expect a huge market competition and a lot of struggles in the market like banned in some countries. But I don't give a doubt that Bitcoin will go down dipper instead it folded multiple times. If we have 1million current users (as an example), I believe it multiplied by 100 times not possible, right? That probably because the adoption keeps improving and moving forward. It can't be a smooth process but for sure Bitcoin will go to far in the future.
