2721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 06, 2022, 03:29:29 PM
And the best gauge is to really see the two in the square ring. Ioka did his share with a tough win, so Jerwin should do the same against Martinez. And we just hope that there will be no derailing of the fight and no upset from Martinez.

That's correct, and I think Ancajas here has a tougher opponent and if he beats his opponent then I'll completely be confident that they will beat Ioka as well. No one could really tell what will happen in this fight, the outcome could be different from our expectation but I believe that even if Ancajas will lose, he can still get an opportunity to look for big fights.
Right, he has a tougher opponent in Martinez which is also undefeated and we never heard about him. And that makes him dangerous as maybe Ancajas may have a difficult time adjusting to Martinez style, although I haven't check if there is a fight of him in Youtube that team Ancajas can review and see his stance and style. So they really need to step up and train hard for this one and never underestimate any opponent even if you are the favorite to win the fight.

It will definitely be a big test for Ancajas, however, I believed in Jerwin's capability to still win despite his opponent of a knock out artist and hasn't lost. It could be the same case of Sultan, who is the underdog in his fight and facing a boxer who has a perfect knock out record. But Sultan took everything and on the contrary, knock down that boxer (I forgot his name) en route to a good win in the judges scorecard. So the same might happen in Ancajas here, but this time it might be a knock out victory for him.

It's Caraballo, if my memory serves me right, but we can't compare the two fighters though. Martinez might be a different kind of break of knock out artist, maybe he has a tough chin not like Caraballo that when every time Jonas touches him, he immediately goes down.

But we still want Ancajas to win, no matter what method it was, knock out or thru the judges decision. We need another Filipino in the boxing world to carry the flag.
2722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investing in meme coins on: January 06, 2022, 02:55:07 PM
why most of the peoples are not investing in meme coins??
When there is best coin in market and high potential coin then no need to take risk with Meme coins.
Meme coin is just for short period of time to double your portfolio quickly. Then use this to buy Top coins.
May i ask why people buy memecoin?

Perhaps there could be smart investors, looking for long term, or not so experience one, who wants a get rich quick scheme, invest on meme coins and take that huge risk.

So choose what kind of investors you are, I would agree that there is a huge potential in meme coins, that is you got early on time and then sell it when it was about to get burst. Again, it boils down to individual preferences to make your decision very wisely.
2723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 06, 2022, 02:02:12 PM
It was a bad lost for the Warriors again as they are now now tied to the first spot in the Western conference, same as the Bucks as well, I thought that two top teams can win and cover the spread and made a parlay and was surprised to see that they've lost or at least behind the scores in the 3rd quarter when I wake up. Anyhow, I think the Warriors are going to bounce back against NOP so -3.5 for the Warriors.
2724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 06, 2022, 01:28:07 PM

I think Thurman really went over board with his trash talking to Pacquiao, or maybe that is not his personality after all....

We thought he went overboard because we bought his trash talk. what matters is in the end they become friends and there's no trash talk anymore. If Thurman was real with his statement, it would be hard for him to accept his losses but he was humble on his defeat and he showed good sportsmanship so he gain respect despite his trash talk.

Of course, after you got beaten by the midget Pacman, the best thing to do is to become friends with him. We've seen if from Pacquiao's previous opponent, even his fierce rival, Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales. Morales even travel to the Philippines and have a beer commercial with Pacquiao. And what is that you have to hate Manny? Nothing, it's just boxing for Thurman but I do agree that he really goes overboard with that trash talking but now he can talk about his fight on public, a sign that he really move on from that lone defeat in his record.
2725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if bitcoin was main currency, what's gonna be the BTC value? on: January 06, 2022, 01:07:23 PM
Not sure where you get the idea that bitcoin can and will become the main currency in the future, because I doubt that it will happen. But in any case it will, I have no idea what will be the value of bitcoin, it still depends on the basic economic concept of law of supply and demand. Again, will the government allow bitcoin to be the main currency though, and we all know the answer for that one, they won't simply let that happen to their USD, and there's no way that any crypto will be for that matter.
2726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 03, 2022, 02:54:05 PM

Ugas won against Manny because he was able to maintain his distance against Manny. Of course Manny is not the old Manny anymore when they met. But credits to Ugas for the win. But in this fight against Spence Jr. I think Spence is a busy boxer. And he will probably outpoint Ugas.

Age finally caught with Pacquiao there's the news and it was confirmed that he suffered from leg cramps, making him hard to move and throw punches, Ugas is fighting a fighter who is at the prime of his career, who always dominate a fight, Ugas is a technical fighter in some ways but Spence is an all-around great boxer in the ring, like Crawford he is flawless, after the match I see Spence winning another version of the welterweight.

Maybe he did have cramps against Ugas, but at the end of the day, Ugas is the better fighter, thus he is now where he is sitting and will face the one of the top contender in the Welterweight division. So let's forget about Manny for now, he has retired and now we are seeing the next bred of champions in this division. No one though has a complete domination as everyone is very tough. But this fight will settle 1/3 of it as who is the best. And then we have Crawford vs Spence and that fight is what the fans wanted after this one.
2727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is more important Hype or Utility? on: January 03, 2022, 01:51:17 PM
Long term = Utility
Short term = Hype

I would like to agree with this short but straight approach. And it's really up to the investors itself.

If they wanted for a quick profit then obviously they will look for hype coins, meme's and others invest and then get out before it burst.

But for smart investors, then they look for investment long term. So the coins they pour their money should be solid with good use case such as ETH, BNB, ADA and DOT.
2728  Economy / Speculation / Re: What about 2022? on: January 03, 2022, 01:17:48 PM
After closing 2021 the bitcoin price is at $47,000, well below bullish expectations, Bitcoin price is yet to see any signs of picking up. Especially in the first week of 2022, the bitcoin price is still below $50,000. But I see in 2022 the price of bitcoin could be bullish again at least in Q1 2022.
This is what many people expect, the close of 2021 makes bitcoin corrected without a complete recovery, so early 2022 is the benchmark in the first month, but I believe bitcoin will return to normal in five or six months, considering that at the beginning of this year bitcoin was still in a state of decline or correction, Hopefully in the future bitcoin will recover, so that we can use this investment to be more profitable, high expectations are the reason to see bitcoin grow this year
Bitcoin is confusing at the moment, the correction at the end of the month of 2021 made predictions wrong, the big steps that people made stopped, the beginning of 2022 was a level of decline from the previous year, this indicates the correction phase must recover completely, otherwise the bitcoin price will never be far from before, although many people believe bitcoin will be stable and at a high price this year, my therapy is doubtful if the correction does not fully recover in the next two or three months.

I wouldn't say it's confusing, but it was totally unexpected that the price will move on the opposite direction. Specially that we have the momentum already, hitting ATH and then by November-December we should be close on hitting $100k.

But now it seems that it is trading sideways and as others said, a period of accumulation.

Or maybe it's the beginning of a long bearish trend for all we know.
2729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 03, 2022, 12:49:57 PM
My early pick.

Game: Heat vs Warriors.

Warriors are well rested and they are complete compared to the Heat who will be missing some of their players in this game, so I don't think they'll be able to compete well even if Butler will play. With good players rotation, I'm sure the Warriors will enjoy dominating the heat here, so my pick is Warriors -8.5, GL!

Thanks for the tip, I'm going to tail this one, been looking at the game currently, and there are a lot and I can't pick one. Fortunately, you posted it right now time.

Yeah, and with a big win against the Jazz last time, I think the Warriors has still the momentum to carry against the struggling Heat here. Curry could be very well scored close to 30 points and then bunch of guys contributing double digits again.
2730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 03, 2022, 12:12:26 PM
I think reaching 20 Grand Slams at a time when there are others playing who can also do that is also ridiculous. I guess by now the most versatile player ever is probably Djokovic, but no doubt when you consider a specific surface, I guess it will be impossible to beat Nadal's record ever. I mean, sure never say never, but what the heck is another player supposed to do in order to beat Nadal's record? Just doing the maths makes it seem impossible. There is only one way out I guess: as people get older and healthier, they might also be able to play longer. This record, however, could stand for centuries clearly.

Yes, the fact that we have 3 active players who have each won 20 slams is absurd. If the others weren't playing in the same era, then it is quite conceivable that Federer and Djokovic would each have won 30 slams. Nadal less so, as he's not quite so brilliant across all surfaces.

I think we have just got used to it, but I don't think there has been a tennis era like it, with such sustained excellence from multiple players. It is coming to an end now, and these three are a tough act to follow.

Yeah, it was such a beauty to be able to witnessed this great players in this era. I mean there are a lot of good tennis players who've challenge them, that come before and after, but still they have dominated the tennis world that they won 20+ GS amongst them.

And we might not see another trio in the same generation competing against each other and winning almost Grand Slam every year between them. Djokovic though might be still around, perhaps 2-3 years and hold the record beating Federer.
2731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 03, 2022, 11:08:42 AM
The only game that I was able to bet tonight is the Lakers vs Wolves. I took a big risk on betting +6.5 Wolves live betting when the score is tied 45-45.

Good bet on this one, as Lakers won alright, but it was just 5 points, enough to cover your bet.

Wizards and the Hornets tomorrow game, I think Wizard can cover the spread at -1.5 here. The Hornets is on back to back games and just lost huge against the Suns. So I guess the Wizards playing at their homecourt will be a big boost for him enough to make that -1.5 spread. I wouldn't be surprised if they are going to win with almost double digit lead.
2732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 03, 2022, 10:34:07 AM
Miami Heat lost at the last position to Sacramento Kings, while missing 11 players. They fought hard considering that much of a missing players and the rookie Omer Yurtseven had a big night with 22 points 16 rebounds including 6 offensive reb. But Sacramento held on at the last minute. Thus, Miami is 23-14, .622. I really wonder where will they be in the playoffs and how far can they go.
There's still plenty of time, the Miami Heat will eventually find a way to win and to stay in the playoffs spot. For sure they will not allow to miss the playoffs and with the ongoing health protocol impose in all teams I guess, they are not the only ones who are affect, other teams as well, so just relax, they'll bonce back for sure.

I mean the Heat has still a decent record isn't it? So there's no need for concern right now for sure every team in the NBA is suffering for the health and safety protocol that's why we seldom see a team really in 100% capacity. And I agree that this is just one lost, and for sure they have a lot of time to bounce back again and be in the playoffs this season with Butler still the leader of this team.
2733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot DOT a good investment q1 2022 on: January 02, 2022, 06:41:13 PM
I was looking at some of the top 50 stablecoins ,and im thinking Polkadot. Apart from erc and bep tokens

Well I don't think you have to question Polkadot as it has proven itself to be a good investment in the last year or so. And as far as I remember, it is one of the most successful project in 2020 and it continue to do good for its investor in 2021. So I guess the trend will continue, in 2022, so many roadmaps are still in schedule and plan by the devs behind. And as far as it's rankings who knows, maybe it can really break ground in 2022 and maybe can go as high as top 5, in my opinion.
2734  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bullish Scenario - Minimum will reach $75000 on: January 02, 2022, 02:07:53 PM
Maybe next year we will see bitcoin on 75k$ price level, but for now it is hard to believe that we will reach that price because we are only 3 days away from year end, so I think this will not going to happen, but next year there is a big chance for this price I believe that bitcoin will rise up to 100k$ in the near future.

It's obvious that we are not going to see $75k, much less $50k at the end of the year, and forget about that $100k, maybe we put too much emphasize on that one because of the S2F model who made us believed that 6 digits is possible in 2021.

Anyhow, we are looking at the new year 2022 and I for one is being positive that we might be still in the bullrun sentiments and at least the first quarter might be still be good for us and there is a chance that we might go $50k-$60k in the next month or so.
2735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin close to becoming totally irrelevant for most "normal" people?? on: January 02, 2022, 12:27:33 PM
Of course, you can't compare buying bitcoin at $1k to buying it at $50k.

But what if the price goes to $100k? so that potential is there to double your money, it's that you need to have the mental patience to wait for the price to grow. Maybe it will take months or years, but the potential is there.

And as majority said, irrelevant? you mean ordinary investors will shift to stocks or any other investment platform for that matter? I doubt it, bitcoin will remain relevant as it is one of the best assets, just ask wall streets to ordinary and average joe, everyone is talking about it.
2736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 02, 2022, 11:48:47 AM

I guess that depends on the promoter handling Rusell, if they are not active in marketing him then he can't do anything but wait until a good fight is given to him, and this time, he gets a good opponent that came from a very impressive victory. The fact that Rusell is a champion, I don't want to question him anymore as I expect he is a great fighter and that is a great challenge for Magsayo.

Handlers affect each fighter, no question about that.

The boxer will fight when handlers already sign a deal for him, not sure what kind of promoter Russell have
but yes, he is a champion good enough to say that he is also a tough contender.

Magsayo will be tested with this fight and both of them will receive a good hype whoever wins this fight.

Not sure if Russell is under any promotional management though, and that is the main reason why he only gets one fight a year because no one is looking for him as he chooses to be some sort of freelance. Nevertheless this is a good fight that he and Magsayo secure. And I will consider this maybe an early fight of the year candidate if it really goes out as what we are all expecting, a volume and speed puncher against a power boxer in Magsayo. In will be a clash and who ever landed the big punch first will likely win the contest.
2737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 02, 2022, 11:24:25 AM
Golden State Warriors won even with a fully healthy Utah Jazz. Without Draymond Green to lead the offense and their defense, other players had stepped up their game. One of them is Andre Iguodala who made a lot of wise decisions to prevent the Jazz from taking the lead.
I bet they will put in the top 10 highlights one of his classy moves. The dime to Wiggins but missed the shot and then Iggy followed it with a dunk.  Cheesy Then the 3 point dagger to close the game. Classic Iguodala putting a show at the Jazz floor.

Yeah, it was really Iggy who win the game for the Warriors with that dagger 3 at the end and with Rudy Gobert to boot as his defender. Otto Porter did great too and see is GP, Wiggins and Poole. So it's a complete game by the Warriors lead by Steph Curry. When they took the lead I said that Jazz will need to have a big comeback to win the game and they did. However, in the last 4 minutes it seems that they run out of steam already and let the Warrior score easy points in the paint uncontested.
2738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bull run on: January 02, 2022, 10:54:16 AM
Crypto market is getting prepared for retraces that will last a long time, gear up people we are in for a new bear 🐻 ride from here on, though the bear market might not the tanking like 2018 but we will be able to buy coins for cheap price again this is the moment I've been waiting for honestly

If it will be bear market then it could be worst than 2018 and for those who have been here and witnessed the long bearish trend that took 3 years then it will be hard road again. However, I've learn from the past that we should really be buying during the bearish trend, I mean just look at Ethereum price in 2018, it went to even just two digits now it is on the 4 digits.

But I doubt that it can go as low as $100, maybe $500 will be the worst price during the long bear crypto winter so take that opportunity if it happen again this 2022-xxxx.
2739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 02, 2022, 10:32:22 AM

Ugas has been in the shadow of this great welterweights such as Spence, and now he has been given the chance to proved that he belongs in the top. He beats Pacman alright, but there is an argument that Pacman is really old and wasn't able to prepare for his style. Nevertheless this fight will define the legacy of both fighters and could look for bigger fights in the future, like unification with Crawford.

I really want to see Spence win this fight because I really wanted to see him fighting Crawford with their clean record when they step in the ring. That would be the best fight of the century since these guys are the real deal in the weight division. They need to fight this year for real because time will decrease their skill and it would not be exciting anymore if they decide to fight when they are already old.

Yeah, still possible though, Spence is a great fighter and maybe he can still continue to dominate and beat Ugas in a close fight and keep his record intact. So that when he faces Crawford, both of them are undefeated and it could make a good boxing story board. So let's see if Spence is 100% recovered from his eye operation in this fight and there is no ring rust as well because of his long layoffs.

Spence will be the favourite in this fight, even if Ugas beat Manny, his stock will not grow in this fight. He can still be the favourite in other fights and facing a boxer not name Spence or Crawford.

I think he has recovered by his eye operation and has been given a clean bill of heath by his doctor and clear to fight anytime he wants that's why he chooses another huge risk in choosing Ugas to be his next dance partner.
2740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 02, 2022, 10:05:43 AM
That's a big prediction against Emma, does Pam saying that she is just a one hit wonder? (well this was the case in women's side though, there are some who after winning a grand slam suddenly drops out of the top 10 and was never the top player they are).

But we can see that after the changes coach, her game has deteriorated. But we will have to see, hopefully she can still compose herself and still be like the player that suddenly break into the limelight last year specially winning the US Open.

That are strong words from Pam Shriver but as you say, we will need to wait and see how Raducanu continues to develop this year. She struggled in the tournaments after her US Open as there was a lot more pressure on her (before she was always in the underdog position). Changing her coach was maybe not the best idea, but only time will tell.

Maybe it was just me, or Pam is a hater of Emma because of her recent success but then again, she is trying to shoot here down with that negative comments of her against the teenager? Or she is just trying to keep the fire burning inside of Emma to really go and strive for more in 2022?

In any case the ball is on Emma here, to prove her critics and detractors by winning another grand slam or at least a tournament and break into the top 10 this year, that will be her goal.
