2901  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Private key from biometric data? on: January 02, 2023, 09:56:11 AM
Wheter you like it or not, linking your online possessions to your biological body will happen, because this body of yours is ultimately THE thing that wants these possesions.
But fear not, future tech will make this process anonymous.
This is probably one of the worst nonsense I heard in a long time.  Roll Eyes
Nobody can force me to link anything with my body if I don't want to do that, unless I am in some concentration camp and this is done by force.
You are asking us to trust you and some mysterious future technology to provide anonymity, but in reality you know jack shit about things you are talking about.
2902  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Flipper Zero and NFC wallets- is this an issue? on: January 01, 2023, 07:35:23 PM
Your main attack scenario in that case would be NFC tunnelling; something that Flipper Zero is not really made for.
I am really no expert for NFC and I don't understand how they work for wallets that support NFC, but it could be different with different models of hardware wallets.

To copy QR codes you only need a camera. You can do that with any old smartphone; IR will be of no help here. My only recommendation for QR codes is: make sure to scan your own phone's screen when signing the unsigned PSBT; and not some malicious PSBT off of somewhere else. Just.. you know, don't scan random QR codes with your hardware wallet. I don't think that's too hard.
I know you need camera, but main thing about QR code data is decoding the signal.
You can for example get code from Safepalk wallet but it won't be compatible with any other wallets so you won't know what you have, so not all QR codes are made equal.

Again; they've existed long before Flipper Zero. Price under 50 bucks.
I see you are familiar with them better than me  Cheesy
Can you please name few of them or send link for me check them out?

Yes, you can do that with the existing NFC readers and some scripting long before Flipper Zero existed. I don't dislike the product; but it's mostly a mashup of existing hardware.
Yes but people seem to like this ''mashup'' very much, and they write much more scripts  Wink
Maybe Joe Grand Kingpin can think if this device can be used for hardware wallets somehow, he likes to think outside the box.

Yeah this think certainly poses a threat to many other things in our lives, like you said I could see this messing with Tesla cars, safes, credit cards, building security passes etc.  The "Kia Boys" are doing a good (also sad and disgusting) job of showing us just how vulnerable many of our things are, including our cars - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbTrLyqL_nw
Bigger threat to our lives is using to much of modern technology and trusting in blindly.
Flipper zero and similar devices are just exposing how fragile everything around is, it's al lbuilt on glass foundation.
As for NFC, many modern everyday wallets (for cards and cash) now have implemented NFC protection, because NFC theaft is becoming a widespread thing.
2903  Other / Meta / Re: [ANIMATED CHART] Local Boards Post Race on: January 01, 2023, 07:13:08 PM
It took some time to take them. But using other tools, like DdmrDdmr dashboard or ninjastic.space it may be possible to get data prior to 2020. I will take a look later!
Thanks!
I am looking forward.

In reality Russian board never really lost the first spot, all that changes were caused due old deleted posts which was the cause for me switching to another data source.
Thanks for explanation.
I was wondering what really happened there but I didn't want to ask to many questions and open new Pandora's box.
Do you think Russian board was in the first place even before 2020 since the beginning?

Pakistan shows decent amount of posts and I think they deserved to get new local board like Nigeria did.
Pakistan is going strong for at least 2 years now, which is imho proof enough that they are not going anywhere and that they indeed deserve their own local board in order to develop further, like Nigerians will now after they got their own.
They had similar or more activity then Nigerian board, so I think 2023 is going to be their year.
Theymos is probably careful when making any changes, and he waits to see if this activity will continue or it is just a passing thing.
2904  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'Bitcointalk forum is going down the hill because of dkbit98' - CoinPayCard.net on: January 01, 2023, 06:59:06 PM
I've seen this behaviour before, and it's typically the ones without good intentions that don't like logical questions.
A personal attack instead of answers, that just tells you he's full of shit.
I've unfollowed his topics, it's pointless.
Yeah, I will stop responding and writing anything in their topics.
It's obvious to me that this member has before been registered in bitcointalk forum, maybe with some other failed or scam project.
I said that initially I really wanted to test their cards, everyone can see that in my first post on their topic, but I soon realized something just isn't right.

Did you get it now? Cheesy
Thanks for translation.
He is obviously using some translator and he can't speak normal English language.

Oh no, it is a shame that good companies have to suffer because of users like you, who ask so many pesky questions. How do you not know that they should be able to do whatever they want without any accountability or scrutiny?  Grin
I can be harsh sometimes asking questions to new companies, but I don't think this was the case here.
I never insulted anyone personally, but instead I received bunch of personal attacks.
Good for everyone that I developed much thicker skin in last few years Wink

I've been wondering why this advertising forum is going to shit, and here is our answer. OP, you should be ashamed. Stop questioning these honest scams, this is not a place to discuss things.
Cheesy
I don't know if they are a scam and never claimed that, but there is something not right about all this.
I say good luck to them, and in return I receive interesting new year message from them.
2905  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: January 01, 2023, 06:51:00 PM

2906  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: SCAM upozorenja Zbirni topic on: January 01, 2023, 03:43:16 PM

2907  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Novosti on: January 01, 2023, 03:28:33 PM

2908  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: January 01, 2023, 03:11:35 PM

Tad me je dkbit98 s pravom iskritikovao.
2909  Economy / Reputation / 'Bitcointalk forum is going downhill because of dkbit98' - CoinPayCard.net SCAM on: December 31, 2022, 09:51:57 PM
Can someone please translate and explain to me what writer wanted to say?

If I understand correctly, member CoinPayCard.net  is saying that Bitcointalk forum is going down the hill because of me and users like me.
He claims that companies don't want to advertise here because of people asking them questions like me.
But I am part of 10% of forum, and 90% are good users, but 10% is making forum go down the hill.
90% of my posts are worthless and bring no value to forum.

He also said I am a bit of delusion?!
He claimed that I ask the same questions 100 times.

I can only conclude that CoinPayCard.net is saying that I am the main reason for destruction of Bitcointalk forum, but miracle happened and CoinPayCard.net  came to save the forum from evil.

You are a bit of delusion, it thinks. I have answered your question more than clear i this topic: shorturl.at/mxELN[/b] Your question had also absolute nothing to do with the service we provide.

And this is what your private message state, as you refer to it. Nothing of significant. If you gave us time, we would have responded to your request to test our cards for free.

But unfortunately, you just post random stuff and giving a neutral (negative) feedback because you expect different answers. It's unfortunate, because if I go true your comments on this platform, I see that you do that a lot. 90% of your comments have absolutely no value to bring this forum up, and I believe because of users like you that this forum is going downhill. Because slightest things can trigger you asking the same and same questions 100 times and making your own unfounded opinion that something is not good, untrustworthy or simple not possible without doing any research at first. This is the same reason why companies also don't see this forum fit to advertise, because of your continued negative attacks on anything people post.

It is absolute good to question tings, but when you personally are not satisfied with the answer giving, you keep ranting random things.

I'ts unfortunate because 90% of the users here are great, giving good options or questions and do research before commenting 100 times on a topic.

Your personal message.
"Hi.

Do you know when Bitcoin and Litecoin willl be added onCoinPayCard.net website?
I am interested in testing when this happens.

Cheers."

Sorry everyone for being so strong to bring down this forum with my 10% evil fellow members.
I hope things will be better for good companies in 2023, and they don't have to answer any questions at all.

Note that all spam, off-topic, consecutive posting, and all other posts breaking forum rules will be deleted by moderator.
2910  Economy / Services / Re: Anonymous Crypto Debit Card | KYC-FREE on: December 31, 2022, 07:18:32 PM
I have answered your question multiple times about blacklisted wallets. Here is the conversation; shorturl.at/mxELN
I don't want to get into this endless QA circle with you again, but I never got a clear answer on my questions, and you never answered anything to my question I asked you in private messages.
I am not in a mood to waste time explaining anymore, and other people can judge what really happened in your other topic.
If you think you answered all the questions correctly, that is also ok, you can think anything you want.
All the best with your anonymous project.
2911  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin Timechain Calendar on: December 31, 2022, 07:06:12 PM
Everyone likes cool calendars and it's even better when they are connected with Bitcoin.
There is one very cool project called Bitcoin Timechain Calendar that is showing real-time data from the Bitcoin timechain with immutable history.

You can see bunch of information with Block Height in center, supply and epoch is shown in upper left corner, sats value is in upper right corner, time clock is in lower left corner, and date in lower right corner.
Above Block Height you can see average block time, next difficulty adjustment and hashrate.
Below Block Height there are four categories of estimates fees with mempool stats and unconfirmed transactions.

Great thing about Timechain Calendar is that you adjust settings how you like them, and got back in time since Genesis block, or go in future.
All this is packed in one simple tool and I see no reason why this wouldn't be my new daily Bitcoin calendar  in 2023 Smiley

https://timechaincalendar.com/

I am not affiliated with Bitcoin Timechain Calendar in any way.
2912  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hackers steal $8 million from users running trojanized BitKeep apps on: December 31, 2022, 06:45:52 PM
Anyone using BitKeep?
Nope, and I never heard about it until I saw that bleeping computer article and alleged hack that happened.
I was warning about all shitcoin wallets and bridges for some time, if they don't get hacked they will surely be exit-scammed sooner or later.
General rule is to install minimal amount of Bitcoin crypto apps on your devices and use dedicated laptop computer with Linux OS  to reduce risk of malware and trojans.
2913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PUBLIC ACCOUNT NUMBER FOR WASABI WALLET - Newbie question.. on: December 31, 2022, 06:42:27 PM
Where can i find Wasabi wallets account number or Public Link?
Wasabi wallet doesn't have account numbers or web version.
You can only download and verify open source software and install it on your computer.
After this you can generate seed words, write it on paper and generate Bitcoin receiving address.

importantly - is it ok to give 'them' access to that?
Don't give anyone else your private keys.
You can give your public Bitcoin address to anyone who wants to send you coins.
2914  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Fryx Finance - An open-source Monero/Bitcoin exchange with %0 trading fees. on: December 31, 2022, 06:21:17 PM
On your website you say that in the event that you can't fulfil entire order, you will refund for amount that was not exchanged and send coins back.
How exactly can customers know how much Bitcoin and Monero you have on your balance in advance?
I don't want to pay extra fees and risk of sending coins if there is not enough liquidity in Fryx Finance.

2915  Other / Meta / Re: [ANIMATED CHART] Local Boards Post Race on: December 31, 2022, 06:05:54 PM
Great looking animated chart for local boards and it arrived just in perfect time in the end of year Wink
I was not aware there was so many changes in top positions and German board is the only one that is somehow holding grounds with Turkish and Russian board.
Pakistan shows decent amount of posts and I think they deserved to get new local board like Nigeria did.

@bitmover is there any way to get something similar for period before 2020?
2916  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Private key from biometric data? on: December 31, 2022, 05:44:39 PM
Is it possible to build a reproducible ID, or string of characters, from a bunch of biometric measurements?
Why the heck would you even think about doing something like this?!
I never liked using biometric data for anything in life, because it can be big intrusion of privacy and it's not that hard to clone biometric data.
Once this information leaks it's forever and you can't turn it back or change your biometrics, and using this for bitcoin private key would be pure waste of time.

Because, a private key needs to be unique and constant, as far as i know.
That means that you can only have ONE bitcoin private key in your entire life ... based on your ''unique'' biometrics Roll Eyes
2917  Economy / Services / Re: Anonymous Crypto Debit Card | KYC-FREE on: December 31, 2022, 05:27:47 PM
I noticed the neutral feedback that dkbit98 left on his profile, but no link was provided to a source for more information. However, it's quite easy to find. I also remember some of the discussion with this member in the Service Announcements sub.
There is no single link I could post because I asked him several questions and he avoided to directly answer on them, he acted similar like a kid playing with words and accused me for going off-topic, when I simply asked if they can seize coins or not.
I even sent him private message asking him about card testing when they add Bitcoin and he didn't reply anything so far, but he was the one who called people to contact him about that.
Do your own research before using this service.
2918  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] Mixerdream.com - Secure | Anonymous Bitcoin Mixer | Tumbler on: December 30, 2022, 05:37:49 PM
You are misinformed, enter to the websites advertised on that list (https://[banned mixer]/mix-coins.php) and check the commissions, you have checked what they recommend putting in the jambler control panel to partners, they recommend 2%, but [banned mixer] get 3%.
You just misinformed yourself.
I only read what I see on Jambler main page, and like I said they recommend 2% fee.
Other Jambler partners like Mixtum even offer free trial mixing for lower amount of Bitcoin.
I don't know how you are calculating fees and you can do whatever you want, it's your mixer.

2919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Node: Cheap options to run my node on: December 30, 2022, 05:30:47 PM
I have only one laptop at home, which I use everyday for all my tasks. Can I use an external HDD to store the blockchain and set Bitcoin Core to use this disk ? Would that be enough to make a custom bitcoin node? I know that this means that I will leave my laptop turned on all day.
You shouldn't really use your everyday laptop for running Bitcoin node, and you don't need latest generation processor or crazy amount of RAM at all.
If you still plan to continue using this laptop both for Bitcoin node and for everyday tasks, internet, etc than I would say NO, don't do it.
Better buy cheap used laptop or raspberry pi with 1TB hard drive and use it only for running bitcoin node, bitcoin software and nothing else.
SSD would be much faster but regular HDD can do the job and it's much cheaper.
2920  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] Mixerdream.com - Secure | Anonymous Bitcoin Mixer | Tumbler on: December 30, 2022, 05:24:10 PM
1 . Yes, it's [banned mixer] partner website.
Sorry but I can't find your Mixdream anywhere on Jambler website page with list of partners, and people should wait someone from Jambler to confirm this partnership.
There could be some mixers not released on their website, but I would like to see some confirmation first.
https://[banned mixer]/mix-coins.php

2 . Fee is 3.5% ,that is not more than other websites, we use top level anonimization of jambler service.
I see that recommended commission fee for mixing on [banned mixer] platform is 2% and some people don't always need ''top level'' mixing.
