1941  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Option to turn off RBF gone on: May 09, 2023, 09:42:30 PM
The option to turn off RBF has seemingly disappeared in the new update (Windows), it was important for me to turn this off for instant processing on certain websites, but now I need to wait for one full confirmation when transacting. Is this a bug?
It's not a bug and you can probably still keep older Electrum version (as standalone or portable) in some cases when you need to send transactions without RBF, or just use alternative open source wallets like Sparrow.
Having latest updated version of Electrum is better because they fixed some bugs, but with recent interface changes many people decided to stick with old versions a bit longer.
1942  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paxful is Coming Back but... on: May 08, 2023, 08:57:14 PM
So apparently, the CEO Ray Youssef reigned from Paxful but is not working on a new "P2P electronic marketplace" civkit
Maybe this is not such a bad thing after all.
Just few days ago I was thinking that almost all P2P exchanges would stop existing, and now we see new one is being announced and Paxful is back.
Important thing now is to monitor how both of them will handle kyc verification, but I am sure they will start competing and offering better terms to attract new customers.
Best P2P alternative for me right now is Peach Bitcoin for mobile, and Bisq exchange for desktop computers.
1943  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance announced LN integration on: May 08, 2023, 08:49:40 PM
After halting bitcoin withdrawals due "network congestion" (they are enabled again btw) and adjusting withdrawal fees, to combat that Binance finally announced that they are working on Lightning Netwok implementation for withdrawals  so at least something good came out from this mess.
That would be great to see but I think they need some time to implement LN, and people should use only non-custodial wallets when this gets enabled.
Maybe more exchanges should also consider adding L-BTC and Liquid sidechain as alternative option to mainnet and Lightning Network.
I don't want to sound pessimistic but I think fees are going to get much higher than now, so everyone better get ready for that possibility.

Could be a great step in the right direction. Wonder if this also includes a channel that allows deposits?
I think that all centralized exchanges that support LN have both deposits and withdrawals in Lightning, so Binance will probably follow that practice.

1944  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: My first contest : win a hardware wallet, a steelwallet and satoshis ! on: May 08, 2023, 08:03:23 PM
To be very very fair play, as Gazeta changes his prediction today, everyone can change his prediction until today midnight. Please send me a message.
Do I still have time to change/edit my price prediction?

And remember you said that I was pessimistic with my price prediction, do you still think that now?  Cheesy

dkbit98 27485 CHF
If possible, I am changing this to 24195 CHF
1945  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Flipper Zero - Multi-tool for Hackers & Pentesters - Like New on: May 08, 2023, 08:00:16 PM
I accept Bitcoin (BTC) only. The price includes shipping to your location. Please note that customs fees, taxes, and other charges specific to your country are not included in the price.
I have two questions:
- Can you write on package that this is a used gift item with low value?
- Is price fixed 0.01 BTC or some negotiations is possible if I decide to purchase it?
1946  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: May 08, 2023, 07:52:05 PM
Thanks for adding this feature! I'm just testing it out for our terms, including coinslotty, will report back soon Smiley
Just don't forget to mute or disable sound in telegram, or you will get nuts from all the beeps and notifications  Cheesy

PS
Amazing work as always from TryNinja!
1947  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: May 08, 2023, 07:43:11 PM
And we're going to have a factoid suggesting the TalkImg website.
Nice! I am glad theymos reaction was positive.
I started using TalkImg as my regular image uploading service, and I will consider creating account there.
My suggestion is to list TalkImg.com website on alternative.to (it' free), as alternative option for Imgur, ImgBB and other similar services, it will get some exposure outside bitcointalk forum:
https://alternativeto.net/

Please check your PM joker_josue.
1948  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 Bitpr0.com | The Ultimate Crypto Gambling Site Directory on: May 08, 2023, 07:12:59 PM
Thanks for the hint, I removed Paxful.
I am reading crypto related news today and Paxful exchange is apparently back online again, so you can get back your link Smiley
This was temporary suspension after all, but it didn't sound like that first time they announced it.

Thank you for checking out Coinslotty casino Wink
1949  Economy / Services / Re: I offer free acceleration service for screwed up BTC transactions on: May 08, 2023, 07:05:09 PM
Just leave me your BTC transaction and I'll be happy to help you, I have a paid service and I can help you at no cost
What is your paid service website link?
I think you are going to have a lot of customers for free acceleration if bitcoin mempool continues with this trend.
1950  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: wasabi wallet on: May 08, 2023, 06:54:15 PM
U posljednje vrijeme viđam veliki transaction fee, npr. danas sam poslao 13.31 mbtc, a fee je iznosio 0.62 mbtc. Nikad prije to nisam vidio.

1951  Economy / Reputation / Re: jerry0 case on: May 07, 2023, 09:45:40 PM
The word "Ledger" occurs 91 times in his topic titles.  This page also shows many topics were opened twice in a row, sometimes on different boards, sometimes on the same board.
He must be a big Ledger fan boy Cool
I would like to actually see any proof or picture of his ledger wallets, if I understand correctly he claims to own two of them now.
Another claim that he is US citizen, I seriously doubt that based on his previous post, and I don't care if is or not, but it makes me doubt anything he writes.

He's a spammer. No excuse is going to help.
I was thinking the same thing before, but then he started sending messages to other members asking them the same questions.
Why would any spammer do that?
1952  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [VELIKA LISTA] Hardverski novčanici (80+) on: May 07, 2023, 11:09:48 AM
I have been following you guys and using google translate to put the posts of this thread to English.. .. and currently wondering how does the battery work in this  MoriX Wallet Card card?  Does the battery fit inside the card?.. The card seems thinner than the battery.
I don't know anything about battery type they are using, I just found out about MoriX Wallet Card few days ago, and I don't have actual device with me to check this.
However, this is not the only hardware wallet in credit card format, so if you really want to know what batteries can be used for this try contacting Coolwallet who is making similar devices with screen and Lithium-ion rechargeable battery.
I am also interested to find more details about this, so contact me if you receive any reply from manufacturers.

So it seems to me that the card is thinner than the battery.. 2.2 mm versus 5.0 mm... so where does the battery come into play with this card? or is there some other kind of a battery that is involved?
I did a simple internet search for credit card batteries and I saw a bunch of examples for that.
Good thing about this devices is that you can carry them with yourself in normal wallets, but downside is that it's impossible to replace batteries when they die.
1953  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Types of raffles on: May 05, 2023, 10:04:36 PM
However, we would like to know your opinion on what collectibles can be personalized and are there any sites or people that provide such services? (or perhaps there is one of the manufacturers of collectible items here on the forum).
Several hardware wallets are already offering co-branding solutions.
I recently did a research about that for one of our local member campaign, so I am posting more information about that here with links.
Please note that I don't support any closed source wallets, and my suggestion is to avoid doing any deals with them, plus ledger nano X is one of the worse hardware wallets with many issues with battery, and that is a big reason to avoid it (S+ is better and cheaper).

However, I will be be neutral for co-branding and just the post links, for ledger that is:
https://www.ledger.com/co-branded-partnership

Second option is OneKey hardware wallet from Hong Kong, they started as Trezor fork, but they are most popular hardware wallet in China, and they are open source:
https://onekey.so/co-branded-partnership/

CoolWallet (they are closed source):
https://www.coolwallet.io/cobranded_card_partnership/

Keystone wallet is open source and you can contact them for potential co-branding:
https://keyst.one/

Satochip is also doing custom crypto cards, but someone already mentioned them above.

I'm still confused with the meetups. Roll Eyes
You can find all the details on their website and contact them for more information/explanation.
Every communication before meeting is done over the app, and locations are popping up everywhere in Europe, but there is still lot of room for growth and improvement.

Found another two pieces of information in Peach Telegram channel that I believe are relevant for archiving purposes (and to better understand how Peach is going):
Is that PeachBTC telegram group available for everyone or only for beta testers because title sounds confusing?
Encrypting bank details is cool but we don't know what type of encryption they used and I will have my doubts until they release open source code and someone verifies encryption is good.
I prefer meetings because you don't need to share many personal details over app.
1956  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Gazeta impersonator on Telegram on: May 05, 2023, 09:25:17 PM
Somebody told me recently that there is (was?) someone on Telegram with my username. When that person asked the impersonator, he said he is GazetaBitcoin. However, later he changed his name. I don't know if the impersonator appeared again, as I do not use Telegram.
It's easy to change usernames in telegram and create new accounts in few minutes.
That is the reason why I always keep in my forum profile location written information that I don't use Telegram, and everyone can see this.
If anyone ever contacts forum members using my username you can be sure it's a scam attempt.
1957  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [VELIKA LISTA] Hardverski novčanici (80+) on: May 05, 2023, 09:14:08 PM

New ANN design is looking great and I am happy to see that new updated Coinslotty Signature Campaign finally kicked off, I really want to see good quality members joining me and few other members.
Check out who is already wearing Coinslotty signatures and you will understand why joining us might be a very good idea Wink

1959  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: May 04, 2023, 09:35:46 PM

1960  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Bitcoin Mixer on: May 04, 2023, 09:18:53 PM
This campaign will run for a fixed time until we get to a certain number of deposits (Anonymity Set) or total BTC volume that went through the platform. Assuming we will go ahead we expect this to last between 1 to 3 months, so our costs will be somewhere between 2 and 6 BTC. Whatever the final amount will be we believe this is a very small price to pay for what we will get in return. After we reach our Anonymity Set goal Whirlwind will undeniably offer the best privacy you can get on Bitcoin, and by default that will translate into more customers.
That makes much more sense with limited amount time set for this campaign, and I hope this time won't get extended in future for some reason.
Daily rewards are not bad and they are not suspiciously high as I initially understood, but I would like you to clearly state all the risks before starting this campaign, and try to minimize them (maybe using multisig with trusted forum member).

It’s important to emphasize that the rewards will be paid out from our personal reserve and only for a limited amount of time until the Anonymity set passes the 10,000 deposits threshold, at which point incentives won’t be needed anymore. We will monitor the progress and make adjustments if needed.
Are you planning to manually send all this rewards as Notes to mining participants, or you are using some automatic system with payments directly to Bitcoin addresses?
