Time of rise has come.

It looks like it already slowed down/stopped.

" The company is marking the occasion by slashing the price of TerraMiner IV units to $4,799, a discount of 20%, or $1,200."

And this is just one example, a TerraMiner IV direct from the stock, with 1.6 Th, and it's yours forever... so my question: Why in the world anyone would pay 6500$ for 1 Th for one year, with a 95% scam risk?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh?

get real man...

Because they're out of stock.  Also this includes electricity and internet costs as well.  People still buy from Butterfly Labs and they're pricing out at $25 per GH/s.  I think $10'ish GH/s is quite fair.

Wrong. This is CoinTerra, not Butterfly Labs. Their Terraminer IV is in stock and can be shipped in 24 hours.

How far will this rocket go? Moon?

I think it might go up back to before the gox fiasco started.

wouldn't that be awesome and is bound to happen Smiley

That would be awesome, since mining altcoins would be profitable again.

++1   With you on that one Mr Byt411

Think we are in the clear for now - Don't forget though;

* only gone up $100
* possible FUD's reported 14th to 18th for corporate account closures
* hypothetically, if PBOC do issue an official statement, would this have adverse effect on Chinese investors once more
* actually tried one of their workarounds today here's the short thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=572191.0

I seriously think that the Chinese ban is some very large FUD, done on purpose by chinese investors to push down the price.

A lot of people don't know how to do maths. Surely you have seen plenty, since you are a Senior member.
2926  Economy / Securities / Re: Virtual Mining Coin - IPO on: April 16, 2014, 12:09:04 AM
This is hilarious!

Exactly. Using something of a rubbish value to "back up the value of a coin".
Does the US gov need stuff to "back up" the US dollar? No.
Why does it have value then? Because people think it does.
2927  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you define Bitcoin early/mid/late adopters? on: April 15, 2014, 11:50:28 PM
Anybody who is currently involved in bitcoin is an early adopter. We have not yet reached the stage of mid-adopters

Agreed. Bitcoin is still in the early (possibly early-mid) stage, before mass adoption and all that.
Welcome the the bitcoin world.

I'm retarded. I sold a fair amount of my btc while the price was going down.
China, I hate you.
2930  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 15, 2014, 11:46:22 PM
I'd like to ask a few questions:

1. Will all of the accumulated dividends be paid out?
2. Why can't the shares just be placed on Havelock?
2931  Economy / Securities / Re: Virtual Mining Coin - IPO on: April 15, 2014, 11:44:40 PM
What an unfortunate choice of name -- Virtual Mining Coin.  VMC.  Like the eponymous VMC, Virtual Mining Co. -- the long con better known as Active Mining.

Tragic coincidence, OP, tragic.

Virtual Mining Coin is a crappy name anyway. This coincidence makes it even crappier, since I own shares in ActiveMining and the recovery of shares has been delayed and delayed and delayed.

2933  Economy / Speculation / Re: April 18th? on: April 15, 2014, 11:34:32 PM
I was reading a few comments about people worrying about the 18th.  Is this just a hoax or is it possible for a slight dip?

People were worrying about today too. And?
Nothing happened.
Where are people worried about the 18th?
2934  Economy / Services / Re: Cheap GH/s Rental Services. on: April 15, 2014, 11:33:53 PM
Why don't you just lease them at leaserig?
http://leaserig.net/index.jsp?rfid=1249

One reason is because they take a cut of the pie.

What a greedy man.
By the way, can you offer any proof that you actually own the hardware? No one will buy anything from you unless you actually have proof.
2935  Economy / Securities / Re: Virtual Mining Coin - IPO on: April 15, 2014, 11:30:38 PM
What an idiot. You clearly don't know how to run a business.

"The full amount of IPO  will be invested in cex.io, and will be kept in GHS. BTC produced by the GHS daily reinvested to ensure asteady increase in the coverage of our coin ."

First, if you reinvest daily, you are losing money, since cex.io now has trading fees. Don't tell me you didn't know that.

Second. The price of gh/s on cex.io is going down. If you invest, you will lose money. Wow. Nice coin, backed by a declining value.

By the way, your collateral is rubbish. The price will only go down. Even just taking the btc and leaving it as it is is better.
2936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Profit on CPU mining? Best way to do it? on: April 15, 2014, 11:21:16 PM
I have in the room 2x R9 290 and 2x R9 280x so I know what I am talking about Wink
R9 270 will cost about $180 and hashes max 480kH/sec, one Gridseed costs $110 and hashes 360kHs, do the math yourself...

Then your cards seriously have a problem. It should not produce that much excess heat.

Also, may I ask, where can you find a gridseed for $110?

Looks like there's a bunch of Gridseed sellers in the Group Buys section around that pricepoint:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=137.0

Most of them are selling @ around $200 per unit, and atari02, selling at $100, has a MOQ of 5, so that is still $650.

The OP already has a PC, and adding a GPU and maybe changing the PSU is less than $650.

You're going to order multiple anyways if you're going Gridseed(usually 10 or more), so yes the @$100 price point still stands.

Who orders just one Gridseed???  Tongue

I want to, but sadly I cannot find a good deal anywhere.
I've got a rig with one R9 270, and I cannot invest so much money. Gridseeds would be ideal, or I could add more GPUs.

If you're going to start slow and get one at a time, before going the volume discount way:

http://www.gawminers.com/300-kh-s-single-gridseed-asic-miner/

Then when you get enough saved up, you can get a 5 pack or 10 pack from one of the Group Buys.

Cheers.

Not bad. No money either lol, send some to the address in the signature below!

*Automated critical downed lease cancellations
*DRK to X11 name change
*Session timeout extension -> DarkKnight
*Lease extensions show up under lease history, Lease cancellations show up under lease history.

How can providers cancel the lease? I don't see no buttons.

I can't see DRKMix being changed to X11 either.

Why should I buy coins from a crappy site made by a weird user when I can trade with a reputable member or with an exchange?
You know, scamming is no longer that easy these days.

2 of my 3 rigs are working fine but 1 of them I am getting the error message below. I tried to go back and find another person with this error but didnt have such luck. I am writing this on that machine so the internet is working. This is the same batch file on my other 2 rigs as well. Any ideas would be great

Thanks - Keep up the great work Terk!

Figured it out - Wireless card went bad. Replacing it fixed the issue.

Now to get CGMiner working on the old rig (5870/6970) so that can finally be hands free

What GPUs are you using?
