301  Other / Meta / Re: What is the policy regarding AI generated images on the forum? on: April 06, 2024, 09:26:38 AM
If the image generated helps you convey what you need to convey in your topic, I don't think that you'd be violating any rules, maybe doing some form of forewarning or heads up that you're using an AI image, unless you're using it to deceive other users or make it easy for you to post stuff that might seem relevant then that's the time that you're doing something wrong because you're lying to people and it's what makes people mad about in the forum, the lying part. I mean look at alt accounts, you're pretty much not scorned upon by other people because you told the truth and you aren't using it to cheat on campaigns or create some kind of attack that would make you ahead by 1 account.
302  Other / Off-topic / Re: Just another gambling addict story. on: April 06, 2024, 08:29:30 AM
the best solution is to make him realize the mistake he made and make him decide that he wants to change his life and understand where the mistakes lie.
external help is never decisive. it all depends on your own inner strength and that's what really helps you find solutions.
monitors online services related to compulsive gambling its plenty of basic service and info on how to manage these kind of issues.
That stage of addiction, I'm sure that he's aware of that, no way you can be doing those mistakes and be ignorant about it, I just don't see it that way but you're right about the realization part though not because of the mistakes but because he's hurting his loved ones just to satisfy that addiction. Apparently this person doesn't have the inner strength to be able to fight the urge and not be consumed by the addiction that he's feeling, if he did have that, he wouldn't be stealing money from his nephew.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun and not a way of making money on: April 06, 2024, 07:29:45 AM
Remember, making a fortune overnight is a fairy tale for most of us. Gambling should be the spice, not the main course of your life. Life’s got plenty more to offer than the spin of a roulette wheel.
To indulge that metaphor, gambling is the spice that's exotic, you can live without it. I guess the reason why they think that fortune is such a thing that you can get with a roll of a dice is probably stemming from the fact that people are crazy and stupid and there's a lot of these stories of people doing their final fortune and succeeding and those inevitably inspire some of them to do the same thing but they don't have the same luck and odds as their inspiration but those people don't know that, they think that they just need to continue gambling because they hope to hit that win. It's not really a fun time when you gamble but you're thinking of profiting at that session.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network: A failure? on: April 06, 2024, 05:55:04 AM
Failure seems to me a big word to describe what currently lightning network is, they haven't done any blunder yet and they're doing just fine with what they're currently doing, they seem alright to me though but I guess some people haven't used it or don't care what it is, I haven't tried using it but I've seen how to set it up and to me it feels a little too complicated to do so because I'm not the go-to guy when there's issues on the computer in my house or office so that's why I find setting up LN a bit difficult, maybe it's the same for other people too, they find it hard to set up. Or the obvious reason of them all, lightning network don't have enough visibility that people probably haven't heard of it.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: PAYSURE safeguards your transactions with secure, decentralized escrow. on: April 06, 2024, 04:00:16 AM
I like the decentralized part but you got to tell us that there's no backdoor or way that when someone puts their payment in escrow, that the escrow would just take it all away, is there a person that's doing the escrow or it's automated? Does it also have a protection for buyers though? As there's some people that would probably declare in the escrow that they didn't receive what they were buying. Hopefully this service becomes mainstream and we get reviews that would help us assure that it's a legitimate service. I'm probably just being paranoid though, maybe a little leap of faith in using this one.
306  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Play a browser game Earn Bitcoin/Etherum and MMOrpg stuff on: April 06, 2024, 03:20:46 AM
Should i make a new post explaining everything in detail about the text browser game in question? or should i edit this topic better.

I just simply upgraded.
You could do well just updating it, it's fine and it's much more refined if you just do it here instead of doing another would lead to confusion unless of course the changes are so big that you'd really need a new thread then by all means do it, and if you do that, maybe do some edit here that would redirect them to the newest post to avoid confusion and lock this topic. Really cool game but I'm not into MMORPG let alone a text-based one, I've seen the concept and it looks promising, I hope that you do get to improve it and finish this game, a lot of users seems to love testing your game.
307  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: OnlyFaucet - Crypto Faucets on: April 06, 2024, 02:37:13 AM
What's the purpose for this? I don't think there's not a lot of people that are using faucets in crypto anymore, they're discontent with how little the amount that faucets give and the value. You probably need to state the purpose of your request because people here don't want to be complicit by accident when someone makes something horrible, I hope you do understand that. Also, why don't you just search it on GitHub yourself? Pretty sure that whatever you're looking for would easily be searchable right?
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really need to blame fraudsters on: April 06, 2024, 02:03:51 AM
What would you get out of victim blaming though? It's the most stupid question I've seen today OP, why make it lighter on the scammer's side? They stole the money or something of worth regardless of what's the common sense or intelligence that a person have, it's not a matter of who's to blame because there's only one person that we have to blame and that's the scammer. Let me ask you this OP, say a person rapes or kills someone, do you blame the victim too? Because that's basically what you're talking about the only difference is the gravity of the situation. @Wexnident is right, no one will be blamed if there wasn't any scammer in the first place, if it's wrong to put your trust on someone then you got to blame everyone then because everyone trusts people that are close to them including you.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need some ideas on: April 05, 2024, 08:34:40 AM
For sure OP you already tried activity setting some Bitcoin wallets, how to send Bitcoin, how to set transaction fees (fees/byte)?
Or maybe try also the calculation of fees or size of the transactions, sending batch transaction (where you can send to multiple addresses using one transaction).
Pretty OP's done that but the calculation of fees I think is a bit too advanced for beginners even the batch transactions maybe taking it slow and little by little. Helps that they've got a good foundation and understanding of bitcoin, that way they're not that worried or confused if they do something advanced because they might have the knowledge to answer the issues. I don't have that much idea to contribute but I think expanding this program might be a good idea to do although the funding is going to be an issue right?
310  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How do I tell people about my crypto escrow services/server? on: April 05, 2024, 07:45:28 AM
You probably just need to advertise yourself that you're doing an escrow service, most of the time, big things start when you just do it and not be hesitant about doing it, you're going to have a hard time finding the people that would trust you but you got to understand that it will only be a problem early on, once you've established yourself as an escrow and you've got a lot of people doing your service, you don't worry about it anymore because they'll just vouch for you and your service, just start offering your service, that stint of having no customers would take a long time but the first customer that would successfully do a transaction with you or taking the risk of using your service is going to be enough to establish you depending on their status though. Also, remember to get receipts of your successful transactions as they can be a proof for you that you're a trustworthy escrow service.
311  Other / Politics & Society / Re: the point of having high IQ? on: April 05, 2024, 06:57:33 AM
If you're mad about these people having a high IQ getting paid more, probably because they can do more and they have a better understanding of the complex stuff and they're the most likely group of people to invent or innovate something that would help progress mankind to new heights. I think that there's some justification there that they're paid more but that doesn't really mean that they've got the IQ doesn't automatically qualify them for a higher pay, they need to show up and do something and be a model employee that deserves the raise or whatever that may be. An increase in reward should be backed by merit or achievements in a particular organization, if that wasn't the case, wouldn't we see even more stupid managers and incompetent people in higher positions.
312  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The effect of border opening to a country on: April 05, 2024, 06:19:02 AM
I've recently watched a talk that are illustrating how immigration isn't the long-term solution to the problem of a country and that it will only be more problem for that country to take in more immigrants, I'm not saying that taking in isn't a good thing especially if we're talking about people that are a casualty of war and they're seeking asylum, by all means take them in because they've already got no homeland to come back to in a while, they deserve the respite and the asylum away from war. Also, it's futile to fight illegal immigration and the smuggling of these immigrants because you can never win, the best thing that you can do if you're the country that's having this problem, you're probably better off helping that other country where you've got a lot of immigrants to prosper, that way, people from that country won't have any reason to migrate and make more money there since they're going to be fine with just where they are, it's what's the gist of the talk of that I've watched, I'll leave the link below, if you want to check it out.

313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: April 05, 2024, 05:32:38 AM
You are right in general, but in fact chasing losses can be bad only if gamblers have no control over their actions. Chasing losses can fun too, you know. If you know when to stop and if you can make yourself stop before you lose more than you can afford to lose then there's nothing wrong with chasing your losses if that makes you entertained.
To me though, I feel like chasing losses is the same as being greedy or that it's under that term. But you're right about how you can stop it from happening to you, most of the time, weak self-control or the lacking of it is the common reason as to why most people succumb to this problem. I don't like the idea of you advocating that chasing losses is a fun thing to do because there's an off chance that some numb nut will get it out of context and now you end up with a dimwit losing money because they thought that it's a good idea to do just that, I don't mind the idea of being entertained but I guess you can get away with it if you've got the discipline to do what needs to be done.
314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you think about cheating in gambling? on: April 05, 2024, 04:40:13 AM
The majority of gamblers are cheaters and the end always justifies the means.
What the hell are you talking about OP? You're really trying to prove that the trust given to you is totally true huh? Do you have like a proof of that conjecture? Because this is blasphemous and a bit insulting to other gamblers that don't even have a clue that they're cheating. Do you have like any other proof that someone is cheating and how do they exactly do that? Because I'm curious what it is since majority of gamblers as you say are gambling and I don't think anyone would miss out if the majority is cheating right?

What do you think about cheating?
Honestly, would you cheat if you had the chance?
I think that it's a bad behavior and a showcase of how weak you are as a person that you resort to cheating instead of playing the game fairly, it also tells me that you are a person that likes to suck out the fun out of the games that you play and that you've got a really sad life that you don't care that you're making it unfun for others when you play. If there's a chance, I don't think I will or maybe I would, I don't know what I'd do in that situation which means that I'd rather experience it rather than answer a definitive one out of a situation that might not even happen.
315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Casinos (2) on: April 05, 2024, 03:43:38 AM
I haven't tried gambling through Telegram. Although I have Telegram, I seldom use it even for communication, so how much more for gambling. But with the sound of it I think I don't find it really interesting. If I want to gamble and play, why would I use a communication channel instead of gambling sites themselves? Online casinos for example can definitely offer what gamblers prefer because it's their business. They've mastered it already. I probably just prefer playing in my favorite online casino.
It's probably true for most people because that's not what you use Telegram for, there's no way that you'd be able to even think about it the first time too when you download and create an account on Telegram. I think the reasoning for using Telegram instead of just a normal online casino website is for the heck of it or they saw that there's a higher chance of winning compared when they're playing in an online casino, that's probably the only reason to use them, the second reason isn't the whole truth too. I don't know about OP creating another thread about the same thing, you won't convince us to check them out no matter what, most of the people here are pretty established already in online gambling websites that it's not really a good idea for them to be trying any other mediums to gamble.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever done something crazy to bet? on: April 05, 2024, 03:03:08 AM
-Have you ever bet at the wrong place and the wrong time?
I can't recall any of that part, I'm the kind of guy to do what needs to be done when it needs to be done then and there so I don't think that I've even done it before. I also don't like mixing the activities and tasks that I do in one place, makes my work a bit sloppy and I end up getting frustrated when my focus is not on the things that I need to do, that's why I can't recall the time that I've ever done that kind of thing, it's a good lesson too because sharing this might help other people realize that there's times that you shouldn't be doing what you're currently doing and that you're focused on the wrong things, who knows, you might help people that would've otherwise still be doing this kind of thing.
317  Economy / Gambling / Re: House Edge on: April 05, 2024, 02:27:39 AM
I guess in simple terms the 2% house edge give the chance for the game outcome to favor the house on 2x advantage compared to the other casino that have 1% house advantage.
Sometimes I ask how we measure the probably fairness of the game system when there is house edge in place, regardless of how the casino promise to be fair?
I don't think that we need to ask the measurements, just apply some common sense and you'd know that the house always wins since there's more people that are losing money in the casino's games compared to winning which means that they're getting more money than that of losing due to the players wins. Even if they say that they've got a fair system, the odds are still stacked against you since there's not a lot of combinations that would lead you to win comparing that to the number of combinations that would lead you to lose, it will never be fair, because if that was really the case, there's not a lot of people that are risking their money to build a gambling business knowing that they're likely to lose more since it's fair game for both sides.
318  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: April 05, 2024, 01:49:27 AM
but in the end it is the casino that keeps following the government requirements or else they
will be bugged and that means Government will  always succeed and will benefits from everything about this .
and in the end the gamblers will be the affected party in this situation.
Exactly and that's a crazy thing to be honest, you comply or we make you bend to comply, government when it comes to this kind of thing, it's mostly bullying but I can understand why the need for a license when it comes to casinos, the money that's getting in it is too obscene to be ignored by the government and you know how much they love their taxes right? Ain't no way that they're going to let it slip that easy, another thing that's making all of this is the reason that casinos are a good place to start your money laundering operations, it's for the safety of both parties since you will have a rights for illegal searches as a casino while at the same time money laundering won't ever be a problem because they're prevented from using your casino as their laundering hub or whatever they may call it. I don't know about the part that gamblers would be affected because you're not really involved in the business side of things. I guess all that we can do is comply, we're the minority in the world so it's not really our call to be boasting or breaking the law.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is one altcoin you will never invest in 2024 even if it has massive pump? on: April 04, 2024, 11:35:32 PM
I don't have anything on my mind that's worth mentioning, I think it's a good idea to avoid meme coins in general, it's probably in our best interest if we do research rather than completely avoid something, that way you're more likely to hit it big even if that altcoin has already gone up but because you've concluded in that research that you're going to get some profit out of it, now imagine if you avoided that altogether, the potential profit was gone because you've got this prejudice about that altcoin without learning anything about it. It's also a stupid thing for you to do that anyway, to not invest in that altcoin despite it going up consistently.
320  Economy / Economics / Re: Church Business on: April 04, 2024, 09:28:35 AM
In as much as I wouldn't want to judge pastors, some pastors act are not commendable, though we wouldn't know the one that's called by the most high God, but we should judge so that we won't be judged too, in my country some people operate church as if it is a business, to my own understand church is the temple of our father and even though a donation is to be made those donations should be used for either church building and the congregation needs, what am trying to say is that charity donation emanating from church should go for the less privileged, am not criticizing pastors but I think anything that's good is worth doing well, in the society today pastors build with church money and people pay huge amount for school fees in those schools, though there is nothing we will say here today that will prevent this from happening but God knows the best.
If they have a luxury car and they live better than most of their congregation then you'll know that you've got the right to judge that person as a preacher of the word of the Lord and to be morally superior because these people are the scum of the earth, they're not here to shepherd the weak and guide them to the light, they're the evil that Jesus warned us about, false prophets as I'd like to say. You don't have to worry about getting your judgment of these evil people hitting other good pastors, preachers and priests, they know that these people exists. For me, this was the thing that made me not as religious as I used to be, you follow what the holy book or whatever says and you're guaranteed a spot in heaven or paradise, whatever it may be but you got to give us that money that's not taxed because there's a separation of the church and the state. If you all want to pursue a money making without any guilt but you've got a good spot in hell reserved for you, megachurch business is probably the best thing for you.
