3081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No fork detected--> Segwit is now active UASF is active! WE did it! on: August 01, 2017, 08:41:12 AM

UASF is being enforced Segwit is now active and no fork is detected!

I think this is a false alarm at this time because going through website would have solve this false alarm at this time when everyone is skeptical of whatever is about to happen. Lets just that everything will work for the benefit of bitcoin while some set are optimistic about the fork happening, others are of the opinion that it should not happen and OP statement has shown the side he belongs to.
3082  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: July 31, 2017, 08:41:20 PM
Its no gays saying that bitcoin has provided the medium of exchange for people to offer their services and be paid across the world and simply knowing what to say at the right time can make one feature in the benefits bitcoin makes available online to several people. I also have been a beneficiary one way or the other aside for the income, it has equally make available the meeting of great people that I might not even see in this life time.
3083  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best way to make money with bitcoin in 2017? on: July 31, 2017, 05:14:40 PM
I think you know the answer on your questions, the easiest way to make money with bitcoin is jsut to buy it and forget about it, until the end of the year. You will certainly gain approximately 10%. If you are a hardcore player you can trade on pumps and dumps, in this case you can lose all your money and be able to live in a trashbag or you will gain a huge profit  Grin

As an analyst, I dont think that is the best way to make money with the assumption of making 10% which is equally not sure it would happen and also tieing down capital is never the best way to make more money but rather in the case of bitcoin, trading is the surest way because with that and doing it right, one can even make one hundred percent of the initial capital. Leaving it is not the best way to go. Although, trading equally comes with its own risk as well but it worth it at the end considering the return.
3084  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: July 31, 2017, 04:40:01 PM
Ask me this question several times, my answer will still be the same which is no other than 'MONEY' the root of all evil. Money is the difference between the smart guy and the foolish one, money is the one that makes one have the audience of the presidents and governor. When you are rich even if you wear a $20 dollar shirt, it does not matter because people will see it as $10000 without any argument. However, in the quest to be rich, there some boundaries that should not be cause which is causing someone else pain is not the right way to go.
3085  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHEN will BTC rise again and WHY? on: July 31, 2017, 04:13:13 PM
Bitcoin is always up and down without predictable, now the price is about $ 2750 and for a few days it does look stable, I'm sure after the segwit finished or in november later, the price will reach $ 5000.

I am sure everyone will now have the idea that bitcoin is already rising now considering the price and and the timing in which everybody has been expecting that the price would have been lower compared to what we saw in the earlier part of the month but today everyone is having a tickle in their mouth showing they are happy. But I dont see the price jumping to $5000 just like that because series of events will still happen even after SegWit which might swing price in various direction but hopefully I am seeing the $3000 mark surpassed conveniently.
3086  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you support or acknowledge the gender neutral society on: July 31, 2017, 02:32:09 PM
In as much as I want to support a gender neutral society, then it should be natural and not influenced for whatever reason. I have seen female friends who are tomboys even from when they were very young which means by default they dont want to identify with a particular gender then they should be allowed to choose which way to go while at the same time with boys as well who feels comfortable being feminine but issue I will have is if the society starts to treat them specially at the costs of the entire population because of that I disagree. They should be allowed to change to whatever they want to at their own expense not to influence someone else due to the special care they get.
3087  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Comments on Trump's transgender decision on: July 31, 2017, 11:42:15 AM
No matter the brain and reasons behind the decision to ban transgenders from serving the motherland is sure a form of discrimination what I would have expected is for the government to hands off their special treatment because that would be unfair to the straight guys who would be encouraged to go that path because of the special treatment they enjoy. The moment that is settled anyone who wishes to still be in the military would do so on his own accord while others will willingly retire or resign to pursue other endeavors rather than setting the country on another round of protest via Twitter.
3088  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Localbitcoins traders, I need your advice. on: July 31, 2017, 10:12:24 AM
Local bitcoin, despite its popularity over the years, depending on the country, that place is infested with scammers and because you dont know who you are dealing with there is nothing you can do about it. And even if the scammer is reported and his account deactivated, it does not take long tomake a new account then by recommendations from the same league of scammers in other to dupe unsuspecting individuals. These are issues that are being faced over there that I just decide to stay away and I advise you to be very careful.
3089  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What will happen after SEGWIT? on: July 31, 2017, 08:54:02 AM
Sorry, but BTC is ready to drop tomorrow.
My advice is to sell your BTC for altcoin or USD.
When BTC drops to $1400 tomorrow it's time to buy!

And your basis for saying that? I guess none. When issues like this happen and suggestions are made, the best is to support it with facts as to why the position you are taking and with that, we reason along your line. Whether it comes to pass or not will be another separate discussion but just dumping this on us will mean saying we all dont know how to think and make conclusions.
3090  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.15 bitcoins loan on: July 29, 2017, 05:23:23 PM
LOL which address you want to verify me I will try to do that Smiley find a address you feel like. Funny how strange people look at others.

You will...try? Yes please, try this one : 1KaEhJuy1WJ5WWr2RKCWVpFZ2A4gSFP3Cj
Or this one : 17KhgovJpYQW7Vr4EbpoNr5D66QNM7bEjn

The "strange" people comes when they see "strange" things happend. Not so funny...

Btw, you ask from others to do what you can't from the start? Weird... Undecided
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2026091.msg20437515#msg20437515

I never said asking signed message is strange, but directly calling me a scammer/hacked account without even asking me a signed message first was wrong ( not saying to you )

Anyways as I get back home, I will check and see if I still use that address and will verify if I do else I will at least somehow verify that I own my account hehe which is quite funny but good for the safety Smiley

You don't blame people for being too careful in an online forum especially when anything just signal in that direction and in this case it is which is the change of address recently and also coming from someone who has a lending service open to members of the forum. I guess when you get home, you might not even have the need to borrow again because you would be able to access your wallet. My opinion though.
3091  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WARNING - Poloniex(POLO) deposit and support issues - you may lose your money on: July 29, 2017, 04:44:06 PM
Anyone who lost his/her coins on any of the exchange sites online wallets providers at this time should only blame himself and nobody else not even the site because the warning has been there for several days to move it to where you can control. Poloniex have volumes of people to deal with or pretend to have volumes to deal with but that does not justify waiting for several weeks for a ticket to be answered under any circumstances.

Hehe, you are forgeting about BTC-e as well... But still, I am only trading on poloniex I a not holding any significant amount of cryptos there. For that I have my local, cold wallets.

Even if you aren't holding any relevants amount in Poloniex, what do you lose just to withdraw your money?

I lost 0.2 in Cryptsy. Back then it was like 50 bucks. I was pissed back then, you can imagine now. The price will keep getting up, and you will eventually regret not withdrawing what appears to be a small amount now which will be a decent amount later.

In times of hardfork FUD, exchanges are prone to pull exit scams... just get your money out of all exchanges ever.

No matter how small, the regret will continue to come back anytime there is increase in price because of not exercising small caution. I can relate very well with this.
3092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So much bad news. When will it end ? on: July 29, 2017, 01:05:25 PM
I totally disagree with you dear. I mean have you seen the bitcoin price this week specially last 2,3days?? price just rising high..people still buying bitcoin madly and in stock trade all coins are going down. I dont know whats gona happn by 1st Aug but i am very much certain that bitcoin will become more powerfull then BCC.

Everything does not revolve only around the price as there are several factors that are equally important and if those factors does not hold, I tell you the price won't stand high for long. Its really been a trying number of days with the BTC-e hack, in addition to SEC release and even with conflicting view about August 1. If all this put together and several others could have the confidence people have in bitcoin, I am sure the price will come down crashing without hesitation.
3093  Economy / Lending / Re: Lenders Unite! on: July 29, 2017, 12:12:05 PM
BTC rates are booming, for good reason. Know where you stand with an exchange if/when fork happens.

I'm happy to stay on the boat and possibly watch my BCC sail off into the sunset, but it feels like these rates should be far higher, only 10% a month right now.

As some places seem to suggest, you are lending them Bitcoin, nothing else, you don't hold the keys, hopefully people are aware of that, don't care where you stand in the debate.

For everyone else sailing this storm, keen to hit 200% per annum rates, thankyou all kindly.

I am really finding it hard to understand what you put up there because to me, it's not explanatory enough and the proposition you are making is not one that would be encouraged because you don't even have the moral obligation to call for others to rally behind you couple with what earlier poser said about you not even one of them how do you pull that out. Again, putting everyone under an umbrella is a call for anarchy where the moment an individual is denied others will do so without even giving an independent review which I feel is not fair.
3094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction during HARD FORK? on: July 29, 2017, 10:44:43 AM
This is because of the splitting situation that we have to face. This is for your own good as transactions if any made during this period will result in loss of funds. The reason:- Wallets will be under upgrade of supporting both the coins viz. BCC and BTC. There will be two chains of block and broadcasting a transaction would result in conflicts as to where it supports or fits in? Is it BCC OR BTC chain. So just be aware of this fact and its really saving you from losing the funds.

NOTE: There are however chances that split won't occur at all. Or if it does then also bitcoin would be having more weightage in terms of dominating BCC so end result is your coins are safe wherever they are. However, it's better to keep the coins safe for our mental stability. FYI: BIP91 is stable as you can read from Forum notification.

I want to believe this is something that have been a subject of discussion lately and even before the service providers and exchange sites started coming with their own release about the impending and not likely hard fork, we have been warned on the forum to avoid transactions 12 hours before the fork and also to wait for confirmations after the fork before resuming transactions for this reasons I don't expect that anybody still don't know what is going on at this moment and how to go about it.
3095  Economy / Lending / Re: Collateral scam? on: July 29, 2017, 09:21:16 AM
I recently tagged a user for trying to use collateral he was actually trying to sell.   To me, this means the user has no interest to pay back the loan, as they don't want the collateral.

What do you think?  Is negative trust justified in this case?

For me, I think I would give him the benefit of doubt because at a point of desperation one can be willing to sell or use as collateral which ever comes first but where I would support a Red Trust is if the same goods is sold or ownership has transferred but the loan request is still active, then that an intention to scam which is frown against at any point in time. Opening both threads does not necessarily means to defraud, it could mean waiting for the first one to happen.
3096  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: July 29, 2017, 05:02:30 AM
Since you've mentioned about darknet and FBI, makes me wonder in which country was Chip Mixer established?
ChipMixer is not established in any country. As btce arrest show - if US wants to close you down they dont care where you are or what law protection you have.

Let's be real, the only reason Vinnick was pursued by the US is because he's Russian and accused to be a cyber criminal (not really bullshit on the accusation, but I believe in innocence until proven guilty).

That said, the US has brought down DPR and Burt W. and both have had questionable charges placed against them.

What do you do? You reside off shore, you keep your connection to your customers at a strictly business level, and you protect yourself from any entity that would have the power to force you out if they see you as a threat.

In as much as everyone wants to believe that Bitmixer closed down because of government pressure,  but he has even come out to say the reason  he is closing down which is due to morality from what I could pick from his statement and I personally feel the market is so large enough that when one close down,  another is coming up again. In the case of Chipmixer, since this is now seen as the next alternative, I say brace for impact because winter is coming...
3097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why BTC-E users will not get their money back on: July 29, 2017, 04:41:21 AM
BTC-E users like me are last in priority line.

That's where a main part of our money will go to:
https://www.justice.gov/usao-ndca/pr/russian-national-and-bitcoin-exchange-charged-21-count-indictment-operating-alleged

Next on the line are the MtGox victims.

I guess after USGov got paid, there won't be a Satoshi left for the rest.

edit: They are not coming back in 5 - 10 days, either. Admins will be trying to run as fast as they can.

Its so unfortunate that this have to happened and people get to lose their money without any form of compensation and this is what will continue to happen without regulation which cannot happen in the case of banks at least the promoters would have kept quite an amount of money as deposit and at the same time insuring depositors funds. Aside that, I am equally happy but part of what should be in that charges is betrayal of Trust.
3098  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why do you all seem to just forget exit scams and heists happend days after?? on: July 28, 2017, 05:09:38 PM
It seems like every six-months to a year a major heist or exit scam happens, and it only takes this community days to forget it even happens... I believe the people behind these exploit this and just go start another project and build it with marketing..

Why is there no mention of a auditory and standards process for service providers like banks do with PCI? This isn't play money.. At the very least there should be a movement against the practise of remote bitcoin storage. Vendors can just query the block chain if they need proof of balance.. Anything with an escrow needs a verified identity behind it to avoid exit scams..

All this you mentioned can only happen when there is a regulatory body to ensure such but not the case here. The .market is a perfect market where the demand is even more than supply and even if the loot from the heist is released to the market, it is ready to be bought off and that's why the effect is not felt for long and even it might come with increase in the price of bitcoin. Although, I admit its a weakness, but there is hardly what anybody can do about it at the moment.
3099  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legal method to exchange paypal to BTC ? on: July 28, 2017, 04:40:23 PM
is there any Legal methods ?

There is none at all because there is no way for legality to come out of illegality from the PayPal point if view because it is written in their terms and conditions that they don't allow something of such and the moment they find out, your account is locked and there is nothing you can do about but until the time when government comes out with a position concerning legality then they will be forced to accept bitcoin.
3100  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fear Of August 1st on: July 28, 2017, 03:42:57 PM
On the 18th of July, after the market  hqd taken a plunge two days earlier, this was the picture on my trading desk. Looking at the picture and then the possibility of a split into 2 - 4 Bitcoin coins, what was going to be your decision? Do you think those indicators have anything to add in reaching a trading decision? In between when this shot was taken and now, market have moved from $2300 to Over $2700 and most likely testing $3000 before 1st of August!

Personally, I dont see anything my fear about August 1 because I believe it will come and go and everything will be back to normal. My concern is for people who are not willing to wait and not allow their trust or faith in bitcoin to shake and because of that decide to go the exit route. August 1 is one of those challenges and I believe more will still come in the future and bitcoin will survive. The little you have, save it because you might not get the opportunity to have that again.
