Does the forum just download the avatar image now and keep it static? Seems like it doesn't update

If this product, not a mini rig, but a rig modular. The spec will not be 25.2Gh/s in 1250W. In the picture suppose accommodate 12bfl single rev3, then 830MH/s x 12 and 80W x12 = about 10GH/s and 1000W Correct or am I wrong? The same enclosure is supposed to be useable for the mini-rig components as well as the Single boards, so yeah it could be as low as 10Gh/s and 1000 watts.

Does the MiniRig require a computer to run it, or can it work as a standalone with nothing but power and an internet connection?
It supposedly will have a Raspberry Pi included as the host, but with their limited availability I assume they will also be able to connect to an external host.

Well that killed it for me. I wonder why the tests were unsuccessful and why the professor said it wouldn't work. Yeah it's definitely <citation needed> for both the advocates and the detractors.

Most routers have NAT, which breaks incoming connections unless you specifically create a rule to allow them. It will usually do something like "allow all connections on port 8333 to go to port 8333 on this internal IP address" when you have properly created the rule.

I got into mining just under a year ago and have stuck with GUIminer since then in a "ain't broken don't fix" bind. Downtime is money as it goes.
Anything better worth the time to switch to? I'm running win7 and not looking to switch OS, just the software miner.
cgminer is the de facto miner for larger installations. It gives you everything in one place, including failover pool support, monitoring, API control, overclocking, and more.

The capacitors have no bearing on output power or capacity if the rest of the components are the same. FWIW, the smaller one appears to be a 180μF cap. I can't tell for sure, but it looks like it is rated for 400 volts, which would mean that it is likely used in the secondary stage of the PSU, not the output stage. (Could be wrong about that.) Although the number of MOSFETs may be the same, it is possible to get different ratings in the same package size.

That said, I'm not going to do business with someone that hasn't proven themselves to the rest of the community. Does anyone even have any of yohan's boards yet?
They are being made by the existing FPGA company Enterpoint: http://enterpoint.co.uk/contact-us/They haven't delivered yet, but they have one of the fastest development turnarounds that I have ever seen from any manufacturer. They expect to ship soon, and then I suppose there will be some reviews.

please use molex connector.
the pcie connector is very limited per psu.
What? The "molex" connector (i.e. peripheral device connector) is only good for about 35 watts, if I remember correctly. The PCIe 6-pin connector is good for 150 watts, however. Both wrong. Molexes are good for 60 watts 12v and 25 watts 5v. 6 pin PCI-E is good for 75 watts 12v, and 8 pin is 150 watts. OK, I wasn't sure about the first one, but I know the 8 pin doesn't have any additional current carrying conductors, so technically the 6 pin can handle 150 watts. The 8 pin just has 2 additional ground pins that tell the card that the correct connector is connected.

Make sure you consider this when pricing those boards: We are selling at the cost to manufacture price until we do the work of benchmarking it and check it working with the Bitcoin interface software. After we complete the benchmarking/software work the price will increase by 50% to cover our costs in doing this work and general support.

12 cell battery lasts 10 minutes on that thing? Well, it was closer to 45 minutes when it was new, but seems to have gotten worse. Remember, that is a 130 watt processor and a 100 watt video card at the very least.

On another note, how about the starburst jellybeans in the "FaveRed" flavor? It is the usual jellybeans, but only the red and pink ones. Also, some milk chocolate oranges, omnomnom. How much for a couple bags of FaveReds and some oranges? This forum needs a drooling smiley face. Do you have diabetes yet? I dunno, what's the symptoms? My balls itch, if that is relevant.

What about the next time you just buy the phone? Like you go to the shop, you say "i want to buy this", you pay and that's all? What i don't understand is why in USA people just don't buy the phone and then just put in their card
That's rarely an option, because many phones are subsidized by the carrier. And, the carrier locks the phone to their network, making it impossible to switch. You could buy an unlocked phone from some places, but they cost a lot more.

He placed his order before we discussed unopened packages. From now on i will be sure to let you guys know if the candy will be sold loose.
I know it would be nice if i could put the size of the packages in my OP but i cant. For example, somebody asks me for starbursts. I check our inventory and the best deal is for 18oz bags. So i add starbursts in my OP with 18oz next to it. Its now 3 weeks later and somebody wants starbursts. I check our inventory and the best deal on that day is for an 8oz box. I cant list a set weight or price per package cause both of those factors change every few days.
OK I wasn't aware that they changed like that, that's kind of hard to work with. On another note, how about the starburst jellybeans in the "FaveRed" flavor? qm hostpci[n] <device id> your device id's are different than what i posted. also notice that.
OK I think I'm getting somewhere - I put this in the config file: hostpci0: 06:00.0 hostpci1: 08:00.0 hostpci2: 0a:00.0 hostpci3: 15:00.0 and the VM started, but now I can't access its VNC terminal, it is just blank. I forgot to get its IP so I can't connect with SSH. I'll need to shut it down and remove the devices and boot it up and get the SSH config. Update: removing all but one of the hostpci lines from the config file results in the guest booting, but not all the way. It seems to have trouble starting X; the VNC connection just flashes on and off endlessly, but the guest does respond to ACPI button commands, if nothing else. In this state, SSH doesn't seem to be enabled either. I'll have to tinker with it later; I have other things to do right now. But thanks for the tips so far.

sorry dog, I'm in the middle of a lake, plus i'm not sober. one of those links mentioned "enabling" pci passthrough. Like Isaid I haven't tried 2.0+ yet, the instructions looked different. If you have time you could try 1.9 install or try the pve forums. Maybe wait til I sober up as well.
QFT lol. I did run the enable step, it was basically just editing grub.conf to add a flag to enable VT-d. No errors there. I'll check a few other places and maybe give 1.9 a shot.

OK, I installed Proxmox VE, and have a few notes. I tried to get you on IRC, but I guess you were away. The config files appear to be in /etc/pve/qemu-server not /etc/qemu-server I can see the video cards in lspci (testing with 4 cards to start): root@HASH9000:/etc/pve/qemu-server# lspci -v | grep "Cypress XT" 06:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI Cypress XT [Radeon HD 5870] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) 08:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI Cypress XT [Radeon HD 5870] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) 0a:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI Cypress XT [Radeon HD 5870] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) 15:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI Cypress XT [Radeon HD 5870] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) When I run these commands: root@HASH9000:/etc/pve/qemu-server# qm monitor 100 root@HASH9000:/etc/pve/qemu-server# device_add pci-assign,host=06:00.0,id=GPU0 it is epic fail; it causes a kernel panic with the following output: root@HASH9000:/etc/pve/qemu-server# Message from syslogd@HASH9000 at May 5 14:55:28 ... kernel:------------[ cut here ]------------

Lets start with the packaging. Please look at the pic of orange slices that i posted. Thats 30 pounds of orange slices in two 15 pound bags. You only wanted 1 pound. You do not have the option of an unopened package unless you buy a 15 pound bag. I have to put your orange slices in something. The bags i used are food grade bags from the grocery store. I used them cause i dont have anything else. I also get them for free. It seemed like a good idea instead of spending money on bags. However after using them a few times i will admit i can do better with the packaging. Ziplock bags seem appropriate. Only problem is they cost money. That cost gets past on to you. And then people cry the price is high. If you guys want ziplock bags i will get them just be aware of the cost factor.
In my case, if I would have known that (for example) the tootsie rolls came in sealed 6 pound boxes, I would have ordered 12 pounds instead of 10, so that I would get 2 sealed boxes. But I had no idea what the standard measurement or weight was. The best thing to do would be to outline the standard sealed sizes that are available to you, so that people know what to expect when the order in a lesser amount. Each item in the OP could have a note saying whether the standard size is a bag, a box, per each, etc., and the weight of each unit size. That would be the best way to handle it.
