Daaaaamn that looks sweet. Is it yours? If so, what kind of flow restriction would I expect from something like that? Have you tried them in parallel? And if they aren't yours, let me know whose they are.

Would it be possible to have some sort of client/server setup for the bitstreams? Basically have some way to pay for a license and run a properly designed miner that pulls down the bitstream from the server in a secure fashion. I guess in the end, once the user has the bitstream loaded on to the fpga they could simply unload it and store it locally? I'd pay money monthly for a bitstream that dramatically increased my hashing power if it meant keeping that bitstream secure. Would it be easier to have a kickstarter fund started up where miners and fpga manufacturers could pay to opensource the bitstream?
Wasn't this what largecoin was attempting? No clue, never paid attention to Largecoin. Weren't they the ASIC company that has gone nowhere? Apparently they had a structured ASIC in the works, but no one has seen one yet, and they've been pretty quiet.

As an optional extra, I think that means backups in general. However, the machine images and all associated backups were deleted when the VMs were removed, so I don't know if there was an additional layer of backups somewhere, or whether they are lost to the aether.

Wonder if Rackspace can retrieve deleted backups...

I doubt you'll read or respond to this, but..... TOS it is very clear that users have a limited license to use the service and that it may be revoked at any time for any reason. Revoking service is a lot different than taking money they were owed. Still sounds like you didn't tell them what they had done against your TOS. When a partner is banned any bitcoin value accrued in the bitcoin address they provide is forfeit to BitcoinAdvertisers.com. Partners sign up of their own free will and at no cost to them. We do not gather contact information for followup communication with partners and as implied in the TOS we are under no obligation to inform partners of when or why they are banned. If they contact us I am happy to discuss the matter with any partner that feels they have been unduly suspended and have a couple cases where we have happily worked things out. This is all industry standard accepted practice. Uhh... what about the advertiser? Why shouldn't he get his money back for what must be fraudulent clicks? So he is paying you to donate to a charity for him? What is this shit?

Explain your marketing: BFL couldn't sell enough units at $30k so they came up with one at $15k, and you jump in straight with $90k?
Looks like it is possible to split into smaller rigs.

Send me 101BTC, then send me an address and I will send you your 100btc!
Very funny.

I'm interested, but I'm not understanding something. What is the "bitstream" in this context, and what is it for?
Also known as firmware. It is quite literally a stream of compiled bits that the fpga can execute.

I'm using deepbit I've downloaded diablo, i go to cmd and type DiabloMiner-Windows.exe -u myuserID@email.com -p mypassword -o pit.deepbit.net -r 8332 but it keeps saying cannot connect/or invaild user name... they are all correct You need to create a Deepbit worker and then append the worker number to your email address as the username. Also, I recommend you use a pool other than Deepbit, simply because of the fees they charge.

For my last car, I paid less than 100 bucks for a plane ticket, and drove home. Winning!

If you could choose full or partial coverage of the overhang... certainly full would be an easy choice. I'm just pointing out that the practical value of doing so in this case is nil. This is the result of our thermal simulations in designing the heatsink. The reason the few mm on the edge of the spreader are left uncovered is for package fitting.
Not that again, please... How about running your own real-world tests to see if full coverage makes a difference? I'd be interested to know whether it did.

Rich's stuff is the bomb, totally awesome. Most tech trays are designed to have the cards mount to the board, but he has ones that will work great with extenders. All aluminum too, real lightweight.
And if you have a project, you can get it customized however you want. +1

can you or can you not size a F image.....
is it ? [IMG width="100" height="50"
or is it [img=100x50
or what is it.. please show the exact syntax...
Like this: I think you can do the same for height, or you can use both. No quote marks.

Do you have a pinout spec for all those little headers?

Great job guys. This will fill one major hurdle in Bitcoin which is the difficulty in actually getting Bitcoins.
Thanks Now if we could have the opposite. Go into Walmart with Bitcoins and exchange them for dollars you would have the perfect setup for wire transfers of money that could instantly compete with Western Union.
At least bit-pay can do a direct deposit of cash from BTC...
Should have that launched within 4 weeks or so. So we would be able to use your service to withdraw from Mt-gox to an US bank account? Yup, or any bank account in 186 countries in 100 currencies

So chips are not sanded, it's the heat spreader what we see when someone removes the heatsink...
spiccioli.
The heatspreader is an integral part of the chip packaging, they don't apply it themselves.

I wonder whats going to happen when I get there...
Time to start a poll... - You puss out and never go anywhere
- You drive by and don't stop
- You drive by and park a block away
- You do any of the above but post a lie about some bad-ass confrontation that resulted in a moral victory but no recovered assets
