341  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will 20.000usd again ? on: April 04, 2018, 07:08:27 AM
BTC
At the end of year, we will see the develop of crypto and stock.
Bitcoin will 20.000 and more, i think so.
That time, bitcoin will a legal currency of almost country in the world.
Everyone, how do you think ?

You might speculate that we will cross $20,000 again, but that was the last peak and has formed a strong resistance level. It is natural tendency for people to start selling when they near that point. We will need strong drivers, supported by heavy demand for that to happen. I don’t think it will happen this year.
342  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-03] Korea's Crypto Exchanges Pledge Market Cleanup on: April 04, 2018, 05:14:28 AM
The Korean exchanges are basically stating that they will vet ICOs and tokens before listing them. This is definitely required, especially when many of the tokens are issued by fly-by-night operators. But I doubt whether this will reduce the overall speculation in the cryptocurrency market in Korea. As long as people feel the urge to gamble, they will always find a way to do it.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 03, 2018, 05:22:19 PM
While the focus has been on Australia vs South Africa (and to a lesser extent on West indies a Pakistan), New Zealand have been able to salvage a draw against England. England must be disappointed, not being able to get the tail out. They were 2 wickets away from victory. With this draw, they have extended their streak of winless test matches abroad.
344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin is a real Bubble and it has already exploded? on: April 03, 2018, 11:14:00 AM
Even if bitcoin were in a bubble in 2017 which has popped now, it doesn’t mean the the price cannot recover, if you give it enough time. Equities and housing markets were in a bubble in 2008. The markets crashed, but they eventually recovered. People didn’t stop buying houses after that.
345  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [02-04-2018] Bitcoin Price Face Crucial Resistance: All Crypto Exchange Are Requ on: April 03, 2018, 07:02:18 AM
The traditional resistance and support barriers really don’t seem to apply to cryptocurrencies. The much vaunted resistance level of $7200 was broken a few hours after this was published. It might be possible to make money from short term volatility, but it is far safer to take a long term view on the subject.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: April 02, 2018, 03:51:54 AM
I was pretty disillusioned with some of the prior updates but it's cool to see this really getting back on track. There's a lot of really simple things your team can do to greatly boost the value of this, but it's cool to see a focus on the actual product/tech.

Not to derail but if anyone wants to sell some byteballs for BTC shoot me a PM.

The market doesn't seem to share your optimism though. Byteball has lost more than 80% of its value in a matter of couple of months. Other alts have been bleeding too, but the impact on Byteball seems to be disproportionately large. My hope is with the focus on the actual product, the market also realizes its potential and corrects its valuation.

Most currencies have lost 80% of their value in the past few months... it is a macro-problem of the whole crypto echosystem which is in deep bear market.

Byteball seems to have fallen in the relative rankings amongst cryptocurrencies as well. This cannot be attributed to macro problems of the crypto ecosystem. We have to admit that the canceled air drop has affected sentiment. The hope is that future developments more than compensate for this sharp drop.
347  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-02] Antigua and Barbuda to Set Up a Cryptocurrency Exchange on: April 02, 2018, 03:43:07 AM
A cryptocurrency exchange set up by a government has its pros and cons. The biggest advantage is that you don't have to fear the operator disappearing with your funds overnight. It is however ironic that people might have to trust the government to hold their decentralized cryptocurrencies. Another disadvantage is that governments do not have a good reputation of handling cybersecurity issues.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 01, 2018, 08:33:43 AM
England are in a very strong position, having taken the lead in the first innings and scoring 202/3 in the second innings. What a turnaround for the team, after having been dismissed for 57 in the previous test match. Now they are in a position to declare and force a result in the test match. It was unfortunate that both Vince and Stoneman could not convert their starts into centuries. Nevertheless, they have put England in a position of strength.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 31, 2018, 09:58:07 AM
South Africa have reached a score of 400 and still have 3 wickets in hand. While this is a reasonable score, they must be disappointed not to to have capitalized on the start given by Markram. Australia will feel that they have a chance to get back into the match if they post a good partnership. But without their star batsmen Smith and Warner, this is not going to be easy.
350  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-28] Report: Two Japanese Crypto Exchanges to Shut Down on: March 31, 2018, 07:07:54 AM
Why should you use an exchange that isn't registered and licensed? It makes zero sense, and I learned from that after BTC-E got raided by the authorities. If they got their hand on the user's funds, they would have kept it.

It is a trade off you have to make. Exchanges like Binance have high liquidity (so you can sell your coins easily), generous withdrawal limits and a responsive customer support team. They may be unregulated, but people place importance on the above attributes. Binance may be unregulated, but a lot of people won't be bothered about that.
351  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox2 - exchanges sell Bitcoin he not really have on: March 31, 2018, 06:34:38 AM
haha, hey kiddo you are way too late to the FUD party involving MtGox and you are not just embarrassing yourself with a dumb topic like all the post history that you and your alt account (which is also giving each other merit) are sharing Cheesy

The merits and the alts are indeed obvious, but the topic might not be. Bitfinex (and tether) might very well turn out to be the next Mt Gox. It is again the same old story. Buying bitcoins with money/tether which you do not have. That might have lead to the peak and we could now be retracing. The OP is wrong in the sense that it is not about exchanges selling bitcoins that they do not have.
352  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-30] Thailand Approves Draft Decree on Crypto on: March 31, 2018, 06:23:03 AM
Sounds like good news. Thailand has been one of the most accepting of cryptos, considering its support for OmiseGO. Paying taxes on digital coin is not fun or even moral to some, but it is a sign that the government tolerates its existence.

Paying taxes is inevitable. Even if a government has no laws / regulations on cryptocurrencies, they will levy profits on the sale of any assets. So even before this legislation was introduced, people would have been liable to pay taxes on their Bitcoin profits. What legislation on cryptocurrencies brings is certainty. So now, businesses can operate with confidence, without the threat of an impending crackdown.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 30, 2018, 10:29:41 AM
Not good start for England in second test against New Zealand as they lost 2 very quick wickets not Root and Stoneman on for Visitors hopefully both will give some good response otherwise this is going to be another disaster for them as they lost first test very badly and poor run going on in this long tour of AUS NEW tour
We have fourth and final test between Australia vs South Africa in next few hours likely home team will this one also as they are in complete control after biggest controversy of Aussies on this tour

England have reached a respectable 290/8 at the end of the first day's play. After being reduced to 164/7, a partnership between Bairstow and Wood bailed them out. Bairstow is still unbeaten on 97 and he should reach his 100 tomorrow. It has helped England out of a difficult situation, although it is going to take a lot to win this match.
354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to buy in bear market? on: March 30, 2018, 06:48:06 AM
when do i know that weve reached the bottomline and i can buy the dip?

Trying to time the market is the surest way to lose money. Just invest small amounts at every dip, and do not put in more money than you can afford to lose. No matter what people say, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are still risky investments. You shouldn't get disillusioned if Bitcoin retreats further after you have made your investment.
355  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-30] Two Turkish Imams Fired for Allegedly Investing in Bitcoin on: March 30, 2018, 06:43:47 AM
This is what happens when you mix religion and day-to-day life. People with an open outlook tend to be frowned open. it seems sad that these imams have to resort to chicanery and try to hide/justify their investments. I wonder how Turkey has dreams to join the EU, if they take such regressive actions against technology.
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 29, 2018, 09:03:20 PM
The ball tampering incident and the one year bans on Australia's captain and vice captain would surely affect the morale of the team. Moreover, the coach has resigned as well. Nobody should be surprised by anything other than a Souuth African victory in the next match.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will kill itself on: March 29, 2018, 06:35:43 PM
Ethereum will kill the crypto's image, it gave birth to so much Ico and scams that leads to multiple bans from big companies and countries. Bitcoin isn't anonymous it ain't the threat. Search Ross Ulbricht and you can see that transactions can be traced.

Ross Ulbricht wasn't caught because of blockchain evidence. He was caught because he slipped up while using aliases on the internet. In any case, bitcoin's pseudonymity is mimicked or enhanced by all cryptocurrencies. There is no such thing as a KYC compliant cryptocurrency. Neither will such a cryptocurrency ever be successful.
358  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-29] Two Largest Cryptocurrency Exchanges May Move Out of Asia on: March 29, 2018, 05:04:57 PM
In today's globalized world, location really does not matter. For internet - based companies, the only connection to Main Street is obtaining talent, finance, bank accounts, etc. Crypto exchanges which do not trade fiat really don't need any of that. Binance would probably be very successful in Malta.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 28, 2018, 07:46:38 AM
The current lack of form of the Sri Lankan men’s cricket team seems to have rubbed off on the women’ Team as well. The men’s team lost to Bangladesh and India at home in T20s. The women’s team could manage only 126 in their T20 match against Pakistan. The Pakistani team gave their fans a scare, but in the end won by one wicket with one ball remaining.
360  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-28] Crypto Associations to Sue Internet Giants Over Banned Crypto ADS on: March 28, 2018, 07:23:40 AM
Hopefully, they will win the lawsuit. Indeed it is unfair to the developers, participants and all the other people involved in ICOs to ban advertisement on such popular platforms as Facebook, Google, Twitter and Yandex. It's a known fact that without promotion no business can survive nowadays, so they are literally trying to kill the ICO business by those restrictions.

I'm not trying to say that ICO scams should not be banned, but banning all the ICO ads is not how it should be done in the free world.

I agree with that. But I wonder if they can sue banks who forbid crypto currency transactions using these banks.

They really cannot win against banks because banks are under no obligation to provide their services to anybody. Of course if banks blatantly discriminate, they can still be hauled up in court. I suspect it will be the same for internet media giants. They can decide their terms and conditions of service and can decide not to service crypto companies.
