341  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: September 15, 2023, 02:43:27 PM
Those that keep their gambling habit a secret is it that they're not proud of what they are doing?.
Some people just like their privacy. In this era in which we live in, everyone wants to share every detail of their lives. This has cost some of them their jobs, career, fortune, and even their lives because they were seeking validation.

Too much sharing is totally unnecessary. Unless you are held at gun point to disclose whether you gamble or not please do not talk about. Keep whatever you are doing to yourself. The only time you should talk about it is when you start to struggle with doing the things you normally used to do as a result of your gambling habits.

Quite agree with you, sharing of personal information in some extent or degree is totally unnecessary, most especially online  with people we don't even know, this is one of the reasons I always advice gamblers who are fond of registering and playing on multiple casinos and also submitting their documents on those casinos for account verification, most especially new casino that can't be trusted not to sell their users private informations to third parties on the dark web .

In as much as playing gambling on multiple Casinos gives us the liberty of knowing which one pays better in terms of odds, we all should always apply caution when it has to do with passing kyc verification.

Anything can happen and as the world become more and more modern, we should also keep up with the pace so that we can protect ourselves from any malicious activities that could probably ruin our lives. Remember that every move has its own consequences, that is why we should be aware before making the next step and it is our responsibilities to know more about it so that we can weigh our choices correctly.
342  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Honest question, what to think about “crypto” affiliates or influencers? on: September 15, 2023, 10:35:21 AM
Some can be reliable at some point, others are not at all. But one thing is certain, they make a living out from those words that are coming out from their mouth. And the only way we can tell if they can be trusting or not, if they can be worthy of our penny or not is by doing our own research. That way, we will also learn from our own, and we will be more convinced if those crypto influencers are helping us to be in profits as well, or they are just taking advantage of our funds by telling things that are too good to be true.
343  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's your purpose of belonging here on: September 14, 2023, 09:43:07 PM
First, is to gain concrete knowledge about bitcoin and the crypto market. Being able to learn its essence not only as a profitable investment but also in the financial industry as a payment system. Second, to acquire some sustainable profits out from my knowledge and skills that were developed inside the forum. With experience and consistent learning in the forum, I believe I’ll be able to achieve both of these.
344  Economy / Economics / Re: Building wealth it's not just one time Luck on: September 14, 2023, 04:20:04 PM
That depends though, what if the luck that you're talking about is winning the lottery or being able to buy bitcoin back when it was dirt cheap? That's a different kind of luck. Also it's kind of weird to say that you've disregard someone's trading skill by saying that if they make 10x profit, that means they're lucky, but I guess that depends though and I do agree that if it's not a consistent occurrence then there's something wrong but I'd like to point out that even the greatest trader out there doesn't do good trades everyday.
If there’s wealth that you were able to built out from a single luck, then expect that it will also vanish all of a sudden just like a thin air. That’s why stable wealth are hard to build and establish. Sometimes, you need more than just one luck, and a sufficient knowledge and skills, and a good amount of patience in order to build your wealth. If you do everything and yet you’re still not lucky, probably you are doing the wrong and ineffective way.
345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Having the knowledge of bitcoin without having bitcoin is a waste on: September 14, 2023, 09:23:27 AM
Knowledge is never a waste, you could turn your knowledge to your advantage by teaching other people about Bitcoin, by referring them to exchanges or services where Bitcoin is used and earn your share of Btc on their traffic, you could open a blog or a youtube channel or stuff like that and in some way make some sats from it.
Knowledge is power, expecially if you know how to take advantage of it.

PS: and yes....as Z-tight already suggested you would better not show off to the world your crypto holdings
Precisely. With the current trend these days, people who are highly knowledgeable with a certain project or investment can actually make it as an advantage for him and earn decent profits if the people will like and agree with his ideas, and subscribe to his channel after. So even if he won’t be investing at the moment, his knowledge will never go into waste as he can be a crypto influencer if he want, and promote bitcoin just how he understands it. If he’ll be giving genuine advices to his viewers, surely a lot will be tempted to buy and own bitcoin in the latter part.
346  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If they have the ability why would they sell? on: September 13, 2023, 09:37:42 PM
It’s clear that these people are just trying to steal our funds and pretending to be pro traders is just their excuse to lure people to subscribe on them and get their funds. This is literally a form of scam, and if you easily fall on their trap, you’ll be one of their victims who only trade and use their trading signals and get nothing in return.

In reality, they are not making profits from their own trading signals, but only to those people who have mistakenly trust them and pay them unknowingly.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 13, 2023, 04:40:12 PM
Casimero ML @ 1.10 is quite high and it's somehow unrealistic, so I don't think that the bookies will list it like that knowing Casimero's odds in his past fights are more than that even if the fight still looks the same just like this as Casimero still have the upper hand.

So yes, it's somewhere 1.30 to 1.40 in favor of Casimero. Those odds will be worth it already as I don't really see this Oguni as a threat in Casimero's streak. Aside from that, I'll be watching for some options while the fight is getting near.

I'm sure that as the fight goes near, there are many options/markets in the bookies and i'm contemplating on betting for Casimero to win by knockout as he is so serious now on his training and the good about his training is that he won't go anywhere else as he has built his own gym in his own backyard, this way he could save a lot of money and no more nightlife for sure.

Yes, there might be more betting options once the fight is getting nearer. But I understand the odds difference. Oguni's only advantage here is he is fighting in front of his countrymen although the promotion itself is by Casimero's promoter who happens to be Japanese.

If only the fight venue is not in Japan, I would probably risk on Casimero. The biggest upsets happen when the huge underdogs land a huge power punch on their opponents like what happened to Mike Tyson against Buster Douglas. The problem with Oguni though is he doesn't possess that power punch so an upset is very unlikely.

I don't see it as an advantage though because he may be fighting in front of his own crowd but his situation is not easy either because he will be carrying that burden which will turn into pressure as bricks piling up in his head as the Japanese people will be expecting to see something from him and deliver a revenge for those Japanese boxer who was defeated by Casimero. That is a huge challenge that he is into and I don't even see him winning the fight and be that they wanted.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 13, 2023, 02:48:39 PM
Draymond Green came out today and said that he doesn’t see why the Warriors can’t win another 2 championships. I think that may be a little optimistic. I thought when they had Wiseman that they had a chance to win another one but I don’t think an old CP3 is going to put them over the top. I think they need a big man who can shoot.

Of course, Paul is not a panacea for the Warriors, and his arrival in the team doesn't guarantee them anything yet. But at the same time, Paul is still one of the best point guards, and I am more than sure that he will work well with players like Curry, Thompson, and Wiggins, and he will surely improve their performance. Given their experience, I think the Warriors will be able to compete for the title if they make the playoffs.

Draymond Green is way too advance on that statement; I know that he believes on his team and what they could do in the upcoming season but saying such things while their main line-up is growing older each day doesn't make any sense. Yes, they have a good roster but that doesn't mean that they got strong chances because the other teams in the league are improving too. We shouldn't forget that they belong in the Western Conference where it is believed to be a much harder conference and the defending champions are also in the same conference as them, saying things like that means that they are already underestimating the Nuggets.

Quite debatable because the teams in the East can surely answer you for that one, plus there are some fans who are ready to argue about that Cheesy

Anyway, back to the topic, Draymond seems to be very cocky in that statement even if in reality, it is still a mystery if their line-up will indeed work out because having CP3 does indeed improve their chances but they cannot avoid the reality where he is older already and is not expected to be the Warriors ace mainly now where he is prone to injuries. If that happens, they will go back to what they originally have.
349  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Importance of inviting Newbies to Bitcointalk on: September 13, 2023, 09:10:30 AM
Bitcointalk forum will never be this huge and productive if it weren’t for newbies that keep entering in the forum to gain adequate knowledge, to share their own opinions and ideas, and to participate in an interactive discussion wherein at the end of the day, they learned from other members as well as other members also learned from them. So without newbies in the forum, bitcointalk will only have a limited scope and will never grow and become more productive. As much as newbies are essential in the forum, thus members who have high experience in the forum and are contributing quality post are also as important as them.
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Common Bitcoin ideas on: September 12, 2023, 09:39:10 PM
Bitcointalk forum is a great help already. It could be a good avenue where you can correct your wrong perceptions about bitcoin and find out what’s the truth behind it. However, I can’t tell that this forum is enough. Sometimes we need people to experience bitcoin first either through investing or trading, because whatever the outcome of it, that would influence these people about the reality of bitcoin and that it can’t be a get rich quick tool just like everyone else is thinking. Sometimes we need people to fail and lose on their bitcoin investments so that they will invest with caution realizing that bitcoin is a high risk asset that needs more careful analysis and preparation.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: September 12, 2023, 03:34:50 PM
The primary aim of anyone who's gambling is to win his games and make very good financial profits from those winnings and that's why anyone who's involved in gambling will do anything possible to win his stakes.
I don't think it's sane to test anybody's integrity through how much the person cheats in gambling or not because definitely a gambler will cheat provided it'll guarantee his winning.

Not really mate, I disagree with that statement. Not all gamblers, just like you said, will do anything just to guarantee their winning, well that is somehow true but in the sense of improving the chance by thinking about it thoroughly and certainly not through cheating because apart from the fact that this is about money, what about the entertainment and spirit that should've been made while betting? It makes no sense anymore because you cannot enjoy your bets because you already know what will happen.

Also, there are gamblers who aren't really aiming to win. They are just regular bettors who are just there to blow off some steam and enjoy the game regardless of what will happen down the road. They just want entertainment and money is just a bonus for them.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 12, 2023, 03:03:12 PM

It's not really a shame because Donaire has proved enough in the industry of what he can do, he achieved enough that Manny Pacquiao himself trusted and passed the torch to him to make the Filipinos proud, and as a Filipino, I'm proud of what he has become but when it comes to reality, it's hard to argue that Donaire is already in the sunset of his career while Inoue is still at his sunrise.

We can say that age might not be a factor but that is not really the case because let's not forget that Donaire is already at his 40s and it's hard to say really that he still have the power and speed to keep up with the guys who are still on the height of their prime like Naoya Inoue.

Good point and it's valid, if they met during Donaire's prime I can also agree that it might be a different outcome, just look what happened from the first met Donaire coming from a long vacation and almost beat that prime Inoue.

Fight gonna be fantasy though, I mean they met when Donaire might be in the sunset of his career. But yeah, maybe a prime Donaire that destroys everyone at bantamweight, or even a prime Inoue, it might be a different story. Donaire's weaknesses is fighting taller guy or moving up in weight class.
But if he remains at bantawmeight and fight smaller guys than him, he will have a good chance that he is going to knock that opponent out with either left hook or his upper cut.
The landscape though is very different for Inoue now, he is at the prime years and it's hard to see him beaten by Tapales here, IMHO.

It could have brought some big excitement if Inoue and Donaire had met during their prime, but we know it's not going to happen as Donaire cannot go back in time. However, in terms of popularity, I think Donaire was more popular in his time because he loved to fight in the US, where there's a huge audience for boxing. Inoue, on the other hand, has most of his fights in Japan, which has been criticized by some boxing experts, especially Floyd Mayweather.

And I agree to those who criticized Inoue for not fighting out of his native country Japan. US is the mecca and the center of boxing, he should be a at least comfortable fighting outside, and in the US. And I do agree that even if both are in their primes, Donaire will be the more popular and he could really beat Inoue with his left hook. And Donaire's prime he was not just a slugger, but he has a high boxing IQ and good timing.
Let's just accept what happened because talking about the things that are impossible to happen is pointless, we can talk about the ifs but it will not go anywhere because they came from different eras.

With response to Inoue fighting outside Japan, I personally think that there is a particular reason why Inoue chose to fight in his country; if you guys remember what Fulton pointed out before on how Inoue tapes his fist, you see that is illegal in any other country but in Japan, it is legal and Inoue has been doing that for years because it suits him. Now, I'm not saying that Inoue doesn't have power because there is no doubt that he packs a punch but that kind of wrap forms a cast-like in Inoue's fist which gives him another advantage so that his foe will feel his punches more. If he will choose to fight outside Japan, he cannot do that anymore.

As of now, there's no other Filipino boxer who could potentially give a good challenge to Inoue. It's not Tapales but it's Casimero.
If might be a good debate though, and for sure we have been taking aboutit for years. And we can only say if it is Casimero if they really face each other in the future. Hopefully this can be done, so that we can finally this two in the ring.
I'd say that it should've happened years ago when Casimero is much younger than today, that time when both of them are still at 118 because at that time, I'm confident about Casimero but now at 122, I'm still not convinced.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 11, 2023, 04:03:31 PM
this is a fight in which on paper the casimero has a big advantage, in my opinion and when the odds are released, something that maybe will only happen from the end of this month, it may be announced before, but I very much doubt that will happen. but when they publish the odds, the casino will probably be at 1.20 or 1.30 at most if they win. and I see that many people already expect this, and for that reason they will look for other markets like the ko market and looking at casimero's performance, we can see that the guy had a lot of wins for ko, so the bookmakers will also put low odds on the victory market for ko in favor of casimero

we will probably see 1.30 to 1.40 odds for a casimero win by ko. if I saw a big odd like over 1.50 then I would bet, but something below 1.50 I won't risk making a bet because it's not profitable in the long term, ideal for me would be if I saw an odd of 1.80 for Casemiro to win by ko , that would indeed be worth betting on, but I need to see how many fights oguni lost to ko, as there is still 1 month left for the fight, it is still early for many predictions to start appearing on many websites and youtube channels that I follow.

I don't know, but maybe the best odds to be offered to us to 1.10 ML in favor of Casimero here. I don't know we will see lower odds that than. And I think 1.20 or even 1.30 is already a far stretch as it is already a big offering ML for Casimero.

Again, Oguni records doesn't speak well while Casimero is known to be very aggressive and has a powerful punch. I might be again, interested on what will be the odds for a KO for Casimero.

Odds of 1.10 are already unattractive to me; I wouldn't consider those odds. However, I might be enticed by odds in the range of 1.25 to 1.30, especially considering Casimero's winning streak. On paper, this fight doesn't seem exciting to watch, but if we end up witnessing an action-packed bout resulting in a KO, I believe it's worth spending our time watching the fight. As a bettor, I'll make sure I can watch the match.

Quote
If it is higher than 1.70 then I might go with it as my bet instead of the lower odds of ML for him.
Not gonna happen mate.

354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 11, 2023, 03:14:03 PM
Reports from the Bay Area saying that the Warriors may actually be looking to start Chris Paul when the season kicks off. That means they could have a lineup of CP3, Steph, Klay, Wiggins, & Draymond out there. Besides never winning a tip again, I’d imagine they would be dominated on the boards by bigger teams but their 3 point shooting would be crazy. Will be interesting to see their first game.

Yeah, gonna be nice to see how CP3 will fit on the Warriors roster. Yeah, I know there is no Looney in the lineup, but I guess the Warriors wants to have a fresh start already since Jordan Poole has left and so their big 3 and now with the addition of CP3 as the point guard and it will relieved Curry of the duty as the point guard. And it might be good for him the long run.

But it still the question on how CP3 will play as we all know that he is no longer getting any younger and maybe be prone to injuries as well in this season. So we will see how the adjustments will be done by Steve Kerr with his new starting 5.

Small-ball lineup again, with no legitimate center, so they need to ensure their offense is very dominant. Since they are smaller, they are quicker as well and can easily switch or double-team the big men of their opponent to disrupt the shot. On paper, this doesn't look good, but the Warriors are adept at this. They have used this strategy and have won championships against the Boston Celtics, so I kind of trust Coach Kerr with this strategy.

I agree, I mean this kind of style might not turn out great if it's another team, not to underestimate about that one, but we're talking about the Warriors here who got Steve Kerr thinking what is the greater good for the whole team and I also trust him if his main choice is a small ball line-up because that is also the strength of their team.

Any opposing team will find it hard whom to guard the most because if they're going man to man, it won't suffice as they need to double team these guys because they are also hard to guard. But double team has its own downside because the other player will be left unguarded which is kind of risky specially this team who can really shot everywhere.
355  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you risking investment in other things? on: September 08, 2023, 06:40:21 PM
It’s one of my goals to diversify my investments but as of now, I’m still struggling to save for my capital so I decided to just focus in bitcoin first because I always think although the risk is high but it’s also capable of giving you bigger profits as long as you do it the right way. Buying some landed properties is my next target. Hopefully with bitcoin profits in the future, I can make this another goal unlock.
356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH LESS MONEY? on: September 08, 2023, 05:46:29 PM
Making more money with less money is certainly challenging and if you’re not smarter and skilled enough, you will never end up successful on your business. Maximizing risk taking is what we mostly do but I believe it’s still best to take some calculated risks based on your own knowledge and skills, otherwise you will end up not overcoming those said risks.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: September 08, 2023, 01:24:10 PM
Once again, there is nothing wrong with co-hosting. My problem is not with co-hosting as such, but with providing automatic entry to the teams that co-host the tournament. IMO, automatic entry should be given only to two teams - defending champions and one team from the hosts. If there are multiple hosts, then the weaker teams should be asked to participate in the qualifier tournament. I understand the budget concerns. In some cases, a country may not have enough quality stadiums and all. But that is an entirely different topic from giving automatic entry.

On the one hand, it’s strange to assume that one of the tournament hosts will not play in it (if things go badly in the qualifying tournament), isn’t it? On the other hand, when the number of guaranteed places is large, it reduces the value and meaning of the qualifying tournaments, but FIFA and UEFA are in any case on the path of increasing the number of participants in the final tournaments, so they are not particularly worried about this.

It's all becoming more like a business industry to me instead of focusing on sports while business goes second in priority. I know that things like these are somehow cannot be avoided because money will always be there but for the sake of competition, they should look at this rule very closely mainly now that they are expanding the format because it's getting more and more unfair to the teams who got the talent but will have to go through the struggle because their countries aren't that rich to make a bid to host such event.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Frank Martin - tentative date 11/16 or 12/9 on: September 08, 2023, 07:20:07 AM
Shakur's belt isn't on the line but this is a title fight for WBC vacant title. Martin seem under rated fighter with more experience than Shakur but had not give more shots for a title fight but this one. The WBC however is not making it easy for him as he is to fight one of the technical fighter.

Shakur had capitalized his wins against the big names he fought.

Nobody is a champion here, Shakur is already fighting in lightweight division (135) and not in super-feather (130). Both of them is fighting for the vacant WBC title because the Devin Haney is now at 140 trying to challenge the champion, Regis Prograis.

Although there is a slight twist to this bout because the title is not literally vacant after all because WBC is just naming Haney as a champion in recess because of his current situation which I mentioned above. But if Haney will be successful in his upcoming fight and will choose to continue his career at 140 then he will be stripped all of his belts which are situated at 135.

About the two of them, Shakur got more experience and not Frank.
You can see both of their records here:

359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto or Real estate on: September 07, 2023, 09:52:55 PM
To be honest, I prefer to invest first in real estate and after making some remarkable profits, then maybe diversifying with crypto investment is a perfect choice. Bitcoin investment has a higher risk compared to real estate, so the chance to lose more is high which means I have to invest only on the amount I can manage to lose.
360  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Calm the pressure on: September 07, 2023, 09:15:43 PM
It's not always too late to invest in bitcoins, if you have ever miss any Bitcoin bull run or you have heard about the bitcoins bull run and you are excited to take actions, my simple advice is, calm the pressure. This advice is driven from the view point of the economy struggles of many, avoid over thinking , work hard to earn money and diversify your investment. Most persons in the crypto space are dying in the inside because they do not have money to invest due to their present circumstance. If you do not have money to invest now, please ease the pressure, you may have more than enough to invest in the future. Calm the pressure my dear friends, don't borrow money, I repeat, don't borrow money to invest on Cryptocurrency, because it is a volatile asset. Life is about risk which you have heard  countless times but it will be unwise to take loan to buy bitcoins.

Don’t invest in a volatile investment like bitcoin if you think you are not financially ready for it. Bitcoin has its own risk, and while you expect future profits, it could be the opposite way around that will happen to you. Although it’s okay to dream of having bitcoin and be widely profitable in the future, but know that everything has its own perfect timing. And that is when you invest in bitcoin as a side hustle, without taking a loan or borrowing money from a friend or relative.
