361  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Best countries to live in for BTC holders on: January 09, 2018, 11:35:59 PM
Denmark is one of the countries that seek to eliminate fiatr money, cashless settlement and the digital currency here are widespread. According to the central bank of the country bitcoin is not a currency which means that its use in the country is not regulated by the state and transactions in bitcoins are not subject to taxation.

Cool, I love Denmark. Didnt know that it was this cryptofriendly. But as you say that bitcoin transactions are not subject to taxation, does this mean that if someone was to convert his BTC back to fiat with lets say x10 profit, the government wouldnt take any tax from those profits?
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's are finally coming to an end! on: January 09, 2018, 11:28:11 PM
ICO's are far from coming to an end. This claim is totally useless. The crowdfunding model of ICO's is just starting to enfold its potential. With proper regulations to ban the scams from conducting ICO's, this space will grow way bigger than it is now. I strongly believe in this model, its just great that investing in companies in early stages has become accessible to normal people with it.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CLOUT - Media Decentralized. on: January 09, 2018, 11:23:06 PM
Can anyone tell me how the Clout ICO did go? How much money was raised in total? Is the ICO over already or is there still time to invest in CLOUT? As I can read in this thread it seems that there is not much communication from the team in here, so maybe some of the investors can provide me with the numbers?
364  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of 2018, bitcoin $ 40,000 or more? on: January 09, 2018, 11:19:28 PM
Actually I dont believe that Bitcoin will hit this level by the end of 2018. I think that the constant rise cant be going on for much longer. There sure must come another bear market before Bitcoin will soar again. I expect Bitcoin to grow again big time in about two years. Maybe by then 40k is a low target.
365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to Buy bitcoin? on: January 09, 2018, 11:16:58 PM
Well, I would try to monitor the price for some days/ weeks and get the funds ready. Then I would wait for a dip in Bitcoins price where it is best to buy in. As the market is heavily volatile, there are a lot of possible entry points at the moment. Guess the most important thing is to not rush things and observe the market before buying. Patience is key in cryptospace.
366  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Cryptos Sichern - Crypto Sicherheits-Strategie on: January 09, 2018, 11:13:46 PM
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Potcoin looking to breakout in a few hours on: January 09, 2018, 11:09:01 PM
Potcoin is really the incarnation of pump and dump. Every other day this happens with it. But I dont mind, I bought it pretty cheap about this time last year and just hold it. Sold half of my stack at the last big pump, probably gonna sell the rest soon as well. I dont see any real future for this one.
368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: January 09, 2018, 11:06:59 PM
It is not too late because bitcoin is continually getting higher and higher that's why it is good to invest now to earn bigger profit in the future world.

Well, this isnt a generally true advice. Bitcoin wont just climb higher and higher. At a certain degree the journey will come to a stop or Bitcoin could find itself in a bear market where nobody wants to buy it with a constantly declining price.

However as nobody can predict where the market goes, I just stick to getting involved is better than not getting involved! Once you are in, you can still decide the next steps, rather than just watching from the sidelines!
369  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are exchanges causing too much centralization? on: January 09, 2018, 11:01:42 PM
Yes indeed, this is a major problem in the cryptocurrency space. The exchanges force people who seek decentralization into a centralized system again. The major problem of this is the power that the exchanges are given, this is like an incentivization to do some shady stuff, as most exchanges around do, no doubt about that.
Im totally into decentralized exchanges and the benefits that those bring to people. Really looking forward for them to take the centralized ones out of business, rather sooner than later! Another great thing is the atomic swap, but this is still next level. But it will come!
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]LiveEdu ICO:World's First Project Learning platform for Future Technologies on: January 09, 2018, 10:58:14 PM
Will the LiveEdu mainsale start as planned on 15. january? I hope that the sale does fully sell out! As of now, january seems to be a good month for ICO's, so I think reaching the hardcap is also possible for LiveEdu.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: January 09, 2018, 10:52:59 PM
I don't think there is 200k new account being made daily.

But it is annoying to wait for registration opening time. But in time they will probably clear limitations.
Mr CZ himself posted on his twitter account that they handled 250,000 new registrations in 24 hours that why they decided to close the registration temporarily to catch up with the back log. The 50% referral commission is the driver of this sudden surge of new registration thats why of you guys notice, they lowered down the referral commissions from 50% to 20%.

Top referrers on other social communities (Reddit, Twitter) seem to be pretty offended at the 20 percent commission saying its not worth the effort. They are turning to advertising other more profitable exchanges. I wonder if this will affect binance popularity?

No I dont think so. Binance already has reached a popularity level that isnt in need of any reddit refferers anymore in my opinion. They have created a big enough awareness for their exchange so that almost everybody who is into crypto has eighter heard of them or is already registered.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you think alt coin market will crash? on: January 09, 2018, 10:47:14 PM
Some people think it won't crash, other has been saying "tomorrow" for the past years.

But looking at the gains the last few months its hard to see this continuing for years to come. Can there be a long (3-6 months) bear market now to correct or is crypto too hot and will increase crazy up til implosion?

I'm thinking maybe 6-12 months of crypto craze left. Then crash (90% of coins loose 90% of value) and a few years of bear market before successful crypto projects starts making money. Pretty much .com again.

What do you think?

I do pretty much think the same way as you do. I dont think that the current uptrend will last for a lot longer, its just not possible. But I believe that we still got some time to got before we see the market crash. Hope that we all will be able to find an exit point before this will become a reality.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Dragonchain Token Sale on: January 09, 2018, 10:41:49 PM
Indeed Dragonchain is a really interesting project. I followed it since the tokensale was announced. Unfortunately I had no funds to spare to participate in the ICO. Hope that I can invest some money in it very soon.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: low market cap gems on: January 09, 2018, 10:37:19 PM
Im also invested in Crowdholding, I do think that this platform is really promising, but the thing that bothers me is the amount of money they wanted to raise in the first place. After realizing that this wouldnt happen they just reduced the softcap for about 50! times, this lowered my trust in the project, because I cant understand what for they tried to raise this much money in the first place if only 1 million was needed to develop the product.
375  Economy / Economics / Re: why bitcoin is so much special than others currency ? on: January 09, 2018, 10:32:49 PM
In essence Bitcoin isnt different to other cryptocurrencies. What makes it special is that it is like the father of all cryptocurrencies and that its tech has proven itself over the years. This has built up a huge community that believes in Bitcoin. For any currency trust and acceptance is the key factor of its success. Fiat currency is given this trust through the government, while Bitcoin gains this trust solely through the working tech and its community.
376  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin rise up to $30k in 2 months? on: January 09, 2018, 07:03:17 PM
Its interesting to read this. And its very likely that a scenario like this will become a reality sooner than we might think. There are a lot big players working in the background without announcing it publicly that they are into blockchain and researching the pros and cons that the technology might bring to their businesses. So I do believe that it is likely that companies like facebook will integrate blockchain in some sort sooner or later. Really curious how this will impact the markets.
377  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your best memories? on: January 09, 2018, 06:59:37 PM
The time I spend with my beloved grandmother. Visiting her, sitting on her terrace and drinking coffee together was a big pleasure for us both. These memories have become the most valuable to me, and the most beautiful ones as well. See you in another life my beloved.
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: January 09, 2018, 06:50:45 PM
The biggest disadvantage of Bitcoin as of today seems to me the misinterpretation by the people of its use case. This isnt an issue of Bitcoin itself though, its more the people that are using it in the wrong way. Bitcoin was invented to serve as a decentralized digital currency that cant be controlled by central banks or governments, but nowadays it has become just another instrument in the capitalistic financial system that is being used as a store of wealth with rapid growth potential. I hope that someday people will come to realize the true potential of Bitcoin and use it as a means of payment as it was supposed to be used.
379  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange with USD EUR GBP JPY CAD BTC LTC XRP NMC XDG STR ETH on: January 09, 2018, 05:53:48 PM

Hi Bribed and der_meister. The Error 520 is a connectivity issue. Our developers are working towards a solution, but as of right now this can still happen intermittently.

The issue where you see that you need a higher Tier in order to deposit/withdraw is actually a trading engine issue. We were launching the trading engine on the 6th but ran into some obstacles. You can read more about this here. For the time being, we would suggest waiting a moment and refreshing the page.

Hi there again, just wanted to let you know that everything worked out fine now. I could withdraw to my bank account. Only thing that still wasnt correct was the possible amount to withdraw. As Im verified at tier 3, the daily withdrawal limit should be $25,000 but instead it would only let me withdraw 331€. Is there a reason for that? I will try again tomorrow and see how much it will be then. Could you by chance also tell me how long it usually takes to process a withdrawal? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the answer! So normally it should work as I understand. I tried to refresh the page several times already but always got the same situation. I logged off for now and have to go anyways. Will try it again tonight. Hopefully it will work out then!
