1201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10$ and want to bet in an alt that could go 1000%. What is your choice? on: December 06, 2017, 04:59:36 PM
If you have 10$ and want to bet in an Alt that could go to 1000% in less than one month but could lose 99% of the value too. What would be your choice?

I guess my choice at this very moment would be sumocoin. But I dont know if it can grow 1000% within one month, but it has a real small market cap and low coins in circulation. Good wallet and solid community. I dont know if there is anything coming up in the short time for it that would create hype.
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🔵 Datarius 🔴 First Social p2p Cryptobank 🔵 on: December 06, 2017, 04:40:35 PM
It seems like everyone wants to use social media to transfer crypto.
Like Status(SNT) Kin(Kik)
I'm not sure how many apps will people like to use.
Probably less than 3.
Hope you guys succeed.

I think that the comparison to Status and Kik is not a good one. Datarius aims at a completely different field than those too. And Status and Kik also dont target exactly the same market and therefore also arent in direct competition.
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any new promising Masternode coins? on: December 06, 2017, 04:10:56 PM
I think the mainnet of Wagerr will be released in Q1 2018. I dont know much about masternodes but everyone there is talking about setting one up and that it could be highly profitable because the growth potential is huge in the market they target and the project is legit. I think you need 25,000 WGR to set up a masternode.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] HealthTRUST+ [HT] - Securing Healthcare Data On Blockchain on: December 06, 2017, 04:06:55 PM

We aren't a 100% copy of PTOY but we did get the idea off PTOY and SVH.

I was an investor in PTOY as well and I later realized they have done NOTHING and will do NOTHING to get their product released. Their team is too unqualified and they have absolutely no experience in the healthcare industry. When Chrissa (their CEO) said she needed FDA approval for a medical application, I immediately knew that she had no clue what she was doing. The FDA is FOOD AND DRUG administration, they don't handle any of this. After I saw how they handled angry investors (by ignoring the investors complaints and instead talking about being "harrassed" by their investors), that was when I decided I was going to start HealthTRUST+. That wasn't the only motivation though. Every single member of our team has worked in a hospital that has been hacked and had patient data held for ransom. This hurts patient care and makes day to day work very difficult. We want these hacks to stop happening by securing the data on blockchain. This will save hospitals tons of money and help patients get the best care.

Why are we better? We KNOW the healthcare industry like the back of our hands. We have over 100 years experience combined in the healthcare industry and we know how to get the job done. The team is comprised of successful physicians who have pretty much seen it all. We have worked with every EMR you can name (even the brand new one Med Doc Live), we've worked with every single insurance company, payment methods, hospital administration, and we all also have a business background. I've been consulted by many software engineers, blockchain experts, and developers and they all say this project is very possible and is needed in the healthcare industry.

I chose this team very carefully because I know they are more qualified than ANY healthcare related company on Blockchain.

If you have any other questions - I'd be more than glad to answer.

Hi HealthTrust,
I must admit I normally dont like when projects bash on their competition because this mostly consists of insecurity issues and lack of something to show by themselves. But your comment here is different. It just tells the truth. I am an investor in PTOY from day one and I had the impression that ms Chrissa had no idea what she was going to do eversince the project was released. I still invested and speculated with PTOY and it worked out quite fine. I definitely agree that you and your team are experienced in the health care sector and am convinced that you will deliver on your promises, unlike PTOY. I must mention though that many projects are very communicative at first when they are collecting money from their investors and after this process they pull themselves back more and more (this was also the case with PTOY), I hope you will stay this proactive with your community, because communication is key to build trust, even if things go sideways.
Best regards!
1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA rises to $ 5.3 and and kicked RIPPLE in TOP 4 on: December 06, 2017, 03:53:08 PM
I sold my IOTA today (bought at $.30), and am happy that I did. I sense after such a sharp rise there must be a correction coming any time soon. Maybe it can go a little bit higher, but its already multiplied its value a lot and therefore it will face a correction sooner or later. However I would advise anybody not to run behind hype and try to enter now, its very risky and could lead to heavy losses. Just my opinion on it.
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stox is biggest shitcoin I ever invested on: December 06, 2017, 03:49:07 PM
The only thing that brought my attention to STOX was the partnership with Bancor. I thought that this must be an indicator of profitability. But turned out that this project was really not worth it. I am glad that I heard Floyd Mayweather shill this project before I invested, this turned me off hard so that I lost interest and didnt invest (so happy that I didnt). Saved me a lot of money, I guess Floyd "Money" Mayweather made me some money here!
What you are telling about the telegram group is true (although I didnt see messages get deleted), I was in there for some time and was not pleased at all how the tone was there. I left the group after some time because I was annoyed of reading all the same rubbish over and over again.
I dont know if the project is a fail, maybe it can come up on top of their game in some time. Of course investors are unhappy because they are in a loss, but thats also because people are so impatient with their investments nowadays, its not organic to make a x10 or even x100 in a matter of days/weeks. Some people need to learn about the financial system and investing in general before getting into this business with too high hopes.
1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | FUNDING THE FUTURE WITH THE FUTURE OF CURRENCY on: December 06, 2017, 03:22:29 PM

I need to stick a note on my forehead that says "Trust your instincts" so I see it every day and get it drummed into my thick skull.

You could probably do a lot worse than letting a dog pick for you. Back in the dot com stocks boom, some Journalist once wrote "Even a dart throwing monkey could pick a winner", and it's the same situation here. We're in the wild west phase of cryptos and much hysteria and madness. Almost anything and everything is going up by silly percentages, and much of it is based on nothing, or not much. Back in the dot com boom all you had to do was start a tech company (not even have a product) and the market gave you an instant company valuation of billions. What we're seeing now in cryptos is the same thing. It's almost like you can't fail to get 25-50-100% profit in days or even hours, or a week at the most.

I used your trick once too. I asked my small Son what I should buy and he said "Mooncoin" and I'd never even mentioned it to him so that was very weird, so I bought some. I must admit that Mooncoin does look like a load of cr*p, but hey ... in this market where no rules apply, there is no reason why it won't also go up three or four times soon. That's what happens when you have a market that makes little sense, like the crypto market now.

Maybe a tatoo right on the stomach, a big fat: "trust your gut".

Joke aside, I totally agree with you here, where we are now resembles to the dotcom bubble a lot. Its crazy how projects with nothing more than a mere idea and some made up roadmap are getting hundreds of millions of funding and the open markets speculating on projects so that we can see x100 within hours. In this market on top, as it is so small there is still so much manipulation going on. Im really disgusted by this. After participating in some ICO's that failed, I am now sticking only with projects that have something real to show. But as you said, its almost certain do make a profit even with total nonsense projects.

Its likely too that your mooncoin investment will make you rich next year, although mooncoin really is total rubbish as far as I know. But remember: never underestimate the instincts, as your little son picked that coin even without knowing its name, it should do good in the end to stick with it!
1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 12 Bitcoin. What should I do??? on: December 06, 2017, 03:10:17 PM
Congratulation man nice story! Respect to you, you made the right choices. How high was your initial investment, if you dont mind me asking?
As for your question, I would turn half of the money into Fiat and hold the other half in Bitcoin. Now seems to be the (so far) best time to turn some money into fiat.
1209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the hell are Crypto kitties? on: December 06, 2017, 03:03:17 PM
Guys dont you think that this kind of stuff was made to show off the weaknesses of the current ethereum eco system? Im tempted to think it was, it clearly shows us that Ethereum blockchain is not ready to scale for mass adoption.
1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonalds to accept Bitcoin by 2018 on: December 06, 2017, 03:01:00 PM

You know you have to wonder if the hysteria and the inflation and hyped up price + volatility will hamper it's adoption potential.

I think this Bitcoin at 10 grand stuff has officially sealed Bitcoin's coffin.
Because if BTC is not being used as intended then it has failed.

A currency that is worth 1 grand then 10 grand later is way too volatile to be used by merchants.
That currency stability is tantamount.

Then what is left ?
Hype and pseudo stock market bullshit.
Bitcoin treated as nothing but a commodity.

AKA: a big ass mutha fuckin' pyramid scheme like the old water filter days.

Man you speak out of my heart! That is what I am feeling while watching Bitcoin spike for another $1000 almost every two days. This rise isnt organic and totally fails the intention with whom Bitcoin was brought to life. Bitcoin should be used as a means of payment and everyday transactions. But as it seems now, its just being treated as commodity and therefore we are currently facing exactly what we as currency community wanted to get out of: stock market speculation. Actually the flaws in our financial system are repeating itself in this very moment. On top, if Bitcoin keeps rising like this it gets even more likely that authorities step in and start prohibiting crypto currencies. I cant hide that I am scared by this development and I really did not see it coming.
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UK threatens to shut down BitConnect on: December 06, 2017, 02:52:50 PM
At last the Bitconnect has been stop by the authority the operation of Bitconnect was totally scheme,i was nearly also be a victim of this project it is better to be shut down this kind of currency,so that the other good project will not be affected by there reputation.

It doesnt even deserve being called "kind of a currency". The only term that I have for Bitconnect is mlm scam. This kind of schemes are hurting the people that throw their money into the pot, but they even more hurt the reputation of the whole cryptospace. This is what worries me the most. If the Bitconnect scheme gets shut down by authorities, there will be a lot of negative press about the crypto space in general. That will do more damage than the money lost by the "investors".

I have a question regarding the credit scoring algorithms. How will they work if there is no data of a person yet to be taken into account? Will there be other methods as well to evaluate the credit score besides of the automated algos?
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | FUNDING THE FUTURE WITH THE FUTURE OF CURRENCY on: December 06, 2017, 02:13:45 PM

Great job. I bought at 0.065, but not so many (1500) as it was an outside bet. I never usually invest more than 100 - 200 bucks into the smaller alt coins that interest me. Kicking myself now for not buying more. It kinda felt instinctively right to buy them, and I know from previous experiences that instincts are often the very best guide. Lesson learned ..... AGAIN !!

Man I totally feel you. I was there as well. When I heard about Einsteinium the first time I also had a really good feeling about it, but unfortunately I had no money to spare at that time and then kind of forgot about it as price was going sideways anyways, it was always on my list of "coins to get" tough. I finally entered only about a week ago and cannot complain at all, Im really happy that I finally am here. Always trust your gut, lesson learned too, AGAIN! Cheesy

Strange isn't it ? I've said the same thing over and over down the years that I need to trust my instincts more, but my stupid brain always seems to win. I knew it was right to buy EMC2, but my dumb head kicked in and said "Use your rule of spending no more than 100 bucks".

Anyway, what can I say ? I invested 93 USD and I'm now sitting on 3 grand. Hardy anything to complain about and we could see 3-4-5 bucks in a few months, but should have been so much more than a few grand profit for me. Think I need to go back and look at my other alt coins and see which ones I should load up more on.

Yeah definitely, I guess that this struggle of gut and brain is something everybody is facing. One should definitely listen more to that. Actually that is in every situation in life, instincts are where we should base our decisions on, but I guess as we are no animals and are blessed with this thing called brain we simply dont rely automatically on our instincts. Imagine letting your dog decide what coins to pick, maybe we would all be millionaires! Actually that is a neat idea, I will just write the name of 3 coins I want to invest in on 3 papers and put dog-snacks upon them, the one that my dog picks, shall be my next investment! Cant go more wrong than if I have to choose between 3 potential investments.
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ⭐️⚡️LiveEdu: ⭐️⚡️ Decentralized peer-to-peer project learning network on: December 06, 2017, 01:57:24 PM

1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sia Coin Will Be Pumped! on: December 06, 2017, 01:51:10 PM
I bought Sia around 400 satoshi, so it's The Worst Decision of My Life. I just wanna my money back.
good project, good idea, it's mean nothing in market. there are a lot of shit coins that worth more money.

Feelsbadman, I know what you are going through. I bought SIA also at 300 sats and again at 400 sats. Now I am a bagholder and cant do anything about it. What I learned from this is that you should never run behind an hype. And if you do nonetheless, you should sell as soon you made profits, at least take your initial investment out again. Wish had done this with SIA too when it reached almost 800 sats, but stupid me thought it would rise higher. Lesson learned.
1216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Christmas Gift: Bitcoin hits $12000 on: December 06, 2017, 01:45:17 PM
Question to all of you: do you think this increase in price is healthy for the overall crypto space?

In my opinion this constant sharp increase is not healthy at all and can hurt many small investors that get in now, as they will stay in when the profit taking takes place by the big players. Just my opinion, but I would rather see an organic rise than $1000 every other day.

1218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you OK with Bitcoin being called a token? on: December 06, 2017, 01:23:44 PM
As "Coin" is even in the name of Bitcoin, I always refer to Bitcoin as a coin. Actually I refer to all Crypto that are a currency of some sort (own blockchain most of the time) as coin and I use the term token for other cryptos like utility tokens or equitity tokens, as they have another use case than that of a currency. I personally do this distinction, but I dont care much if other people do it or not. As long as I understand what is meant, Im alright with whatever terminology.
1219  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I Go To College ??? on: December 06, 2017, 01:17:33 PM
If you have the opportunity to go to college, dont hesitate go for it and give all you have for your education. That is the most important thing in life and if you dont do it now you might do it never. You may later regret badly that you didnt follow this path as long as you had the chance to. This is my advice to you, go to college, you will have a great time and also have access to higher education and therefore to an overall better life.
1220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STRATIS - Get in Before it is too Late on: December 06, 2017, 01:11:49 PM
I agree that there is a sound potential in stratis and it has been flying under the radar for some time. However there was a big hype around it earlier this year, which I could not understand at all, and therefore didnt hopped on the train, as price after the hype declined sharply I was really happy that I avoided that one. I bought me some strat on $3 and am now watching how things enfold. There is definitely potential in the promises and plans of Stratis, but before there is something real launched that works properly, its only what it is: promises and plans. So lets wait and see.
