1041  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Taxes on: December 09, 2017, 02:48:12 PM
Its true that you have to pay taxes for your bitcoin earnings as soon as you realize the profit. This happens not only when you buy fiat with yout bitcoin but also when you change your bitcoin to any other crypto, as this is profit realization. This has the effect that each trade is taxable. Its really not fair compared to other countries where people earn 100% of their profit. But thats life, its not fair.
1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] The NAGA ICO - SMART CRYPTOCURRENCY FOR STOCK TRADING & GAMING. on: December 09, 2017, 02:44:45 PM
We are very happy with the current state. We have now sold around 22m NGC. Soft-cap of 1,000,000 is there already reached.
The hard-cap is just a number since we needed to set one. Our goal is to sell 30m NGC.

Hi good to hear that the tokensale will be a success and the softcap is already reached. I was skeptic at first, but its nice to see that you are proactive and address all questions from investors. I will also contribute!
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PROTEX - The Future of Exchanging Data Securely on: December 09, 2017, 12:09:54 PM
Yes, all unsold PTX will be burned following the token sale.

Thanks for the answer. This should be an incentive for investors to jump in. As the total number of tokens is set pretty high, if unsold tokens were not burnt could scare investors away. Good choice to burn them!
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EtherDelta - Decentralized Token Exchange on: December 09, 2017, 12:06:20 PM
You are right that there is IDEX which is similar to etherdelta, but afaik there is a minimum trade of $20 for maker and $2 for taker while there is no minimum at etherdelta which is why most people using etherdelta than IDEX especially to sell their token from bounties and/or airdrop.
If IDEX has no minimum trade, I'm sure all etherdelta users will move to IDEX.

Indeed there are these trade minimums, I also dislike that and actually asked the IDEX founders why this is there, they told me its because orders on IDEX are of unlimited time and wont expire after a set number of blocks, therefore they set those limits to prevent the exchange being spammed with orders that might exceed gas fees etc. They told me also that these limits might disappear when they move to their own chain. Lets wait and see.

Hey guys, is it profitable to mine SEM? Anyone doing it and wants to share his experience so far? To be honest I never mined before but I recently got into it and want to start asap, I just dont know with what currency to start.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [PTOY] Patientory Healthcare on the Blockchain on: December 09, 2017, 11:50:30 AM
is this coin really going to be added to POLONIEX?

if it is true , WHen ?

Really, Poloniex? Where did you hear/ read this? Would be nice if you can tell us the source of that information, as Poloniex listing is near to impossible nowadays. Lets hear it!
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in these altcoins? on: December 09, 2017, 02:47:21 AM
There are some nice coins in your list, my favourites are: Waves, IOTA, Shift and POWR. The others are solid as well but more risky in my opinion (besides of Edgeless, this one is not that risky I guess). However I would maybe wait to buy IOTA or POWR as they had insane price increase lately and might face a correction anytime soon. Powerledger already dropped from almost $1 back to $0.6, but maybe it will drop more.
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] bitJob: Decentralized Student Marketplace for Online Jobs on: December 09, 2017, 02:41:35 AM
Hey there, was the tokensale a success? Hardcap reached? I was monitoring this cool project for some time, but lost track at some point before the ICO. Would be happy to hear some numbers! Cheers.
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Telcoin - Distributed By Your Mobile Operator & Accepted Everywhere on: December 09, 2017, 02:36:19 AM
Hi there, as Telcoin is aiming to provide the unbanked with financial services, is it comparable to other projects like Micromoney or Everex? As far as I know they also want to provide their services to smartphone users with the use of their cryptocurrency. Can you explain what distinguishes Telcoin from them? Besides of partnering with telecommunication operators that will bring then the services to their costumers (as I look at this more like a marketing advantage). Thanks in advance!
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 undervalued ICO's on: December 09, 2017, 02:28:00 AM

I agree bribed, it doesn't look great. But I also see it from their point of view, if you were planning an ICO and you were seeing companies breaking 20/30 million around you, why not aim to be up there with them? Means you can push more money into the project and scale. I don't think it was greed, but ambition. Also I read something that November was a really bad month for ICO's in the amount of investments.

Hey Honeyduckgoose, I do see it from their point of view and understand that as well. As I said while almost all ICO's raising way more than they need to develop their product its a natural thing that you as new project also aim to raise fund in this area. But yet again, this just diminished the trust I had in the ICO, sure one can lower the hardcap as it cant be reached (november indeed was a very slow month for ICO's) but lower it 49 times? I dont want to badmouth crowdholding, I really like the project and hope that they will have success with what they are doing, its more that Im turned off by this from the whole ICO space, Crowdholding was just a recent example that showed clearly what goes wrong in this space. The seed funding and VC funding rounds do have a purpose, they are not just deplyoyed to oppress the Startups and give them little capital as possible. I just think that ICO's nowadays should rather focus on delivering and not just grabbing insane amounts of money, if they need further funding, they can still start a new fundraiser and will surely collect more. The news that this ICO raised 150m and that ICO raised 100m just sheds a bad light on our space, thats just my point of view.

I completely agree with you bribed. It is sadly a symptom of the ICO space. VC funding does have it's advantages but also a lot of negatives for small business ideas. After the 3rd round of investment the owner of the idea usually has lost control of their own idea.

I agree again, VC definitely got negative sides. For this reason I love the idea of ICO's so much, I just dislike that start-ups / blockchain projects raise way more than they need because this hurts the space overall and will likely force governments to step in at some point at last when the first class action law suits are filed. Hopefully the space will manage to come to reason itself. Time will tell.
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] (CED) CEDEX 1st Ever certified blockchain diamond exchange on: December 09, 2017, 01:37:31 AM
Cool project, Im really into precious minerals and I would love to own some diamonds some day. I wouldnt think of it as a financial asset though, Id rather have them right by my side. Will this also be a peer to peer marketplace to buy and sell physical diamonds?
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about PlexCoin? on: December 09, 2017, 01:33:27 AM
As from what I read about this project and also because of the roi that they promised their investors, I stepped away from this project. It made the impression of a scam and then the website was suddenly down if I remember correctly. I guess they set up a new one somehow. Pretty shady imho.
1053  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Hit $40k to $100k in 2018 - Here's Why on: December 09, 2017, 01:18:04 AM
I agree, it can hit these levels, but there is still a risk that governments could interfere and dont let this happen. I am positive and hope that something like this will not
happen, but Im realistic and know that governments dislike when they loose control over something, and after all money is the uppermost instance of power for them. Time will tell, Im certainly excited where we are heading!
1054  Economy / Economics / Re: did you know industry marijuana will be good future in cryptocurrency? on: December 09, 2017, 01:10:48 AM
As the main problem of cannabis vendors in the USA (in states where it is legalized already) is that they have to cope with huge amounts of cash every day because banks wont work with them. They have to store all the cash they earn somewhere safe and this can be very difficult. It bears a very high risk for them. This is where cryptocurrency comes into play, it is really useful for them, because they can accept it as payment and dont have to fear to get robbed etc.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] LaLa World : An ecosystem for migrants and their families on: December 09, 2017, 01:05:58 AM
I dont quite understand the concept of LaLa World. Can someone explain it to me in clear wording real quick? Will the services that are going to be offered only be availible in certain countries or doesnt it make a difference from which country they are accessed?
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🔵 Datarius 🔴 First Social p2p Cryptobank 🔵 on: December 09, 2017, 01:01:19 AM
I am thinking about the price of Datarius token. They say it is fixed and equal to one dollar. However, they plan using these tokens on exchanges. As I understand in this case the coin’s price will change?

Isnt the price of the Datarius token pegged to the 1 dollar value for the ICO investing? Tokens will be availible for trading on the open markets and there it will be possible for the price to rise when people speculate and buy it. Please correct me if Im wrong with this assumption.
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 09, 2017, 12:51:34 AM
Sometimes i cant understand who crazy some people are. There was a cat that is sold for over 100.000$ can you imagine? I repeat 100.000$ in words one hundred thousand dollar for a cartoon cat...

Are you for real? $100,000 for one of those cats? Are there any sources where you can see this actually? I cant believe it, who would throw this kind of money away like this?

Does anybody knows when this will settle and eth network will be back to normal? Or do we have to use 50gwei transactions now for the time being?
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: December 09, 2017, 12:42:39 AM

Glad you like it. We are quite proud of what BitBay has already accomplished Smiley

Yes, the client will sync. The blockchain download is for those that don't want to wait for the syncing. You can download it and replace the files in your bitbaydata folder with the ones in the download. We replace that download every now and then, so it will normally take you to 85-99% synced.

Yes, the marketplace in the client is in use. all kinds of items are sold and also OTC deals for coins. The most spectacular trade so far has probably been this: https://medium.com/@tradersnow/how-i-sold-5-acres-of-land-using-bitbays-trustless-smart-contracts-28f18b83125 The activity on the marketplace is not high yet, but we are working on that. The marketplace runs over bitmessage, and that entails that you can only see contracts that have been posted or refreshed after you joined, so it can take a little while before you see everything that is posted. We have a bitmessage server ready that will make it possible to see all contracts imidiately. One of the coming updates will give you the option to connect to it.

Thanks for the fast and detailed answer.

Alright, now I understand why there is the downloadable blockchain as well. I guess I will also download it to make it sync faster.

Great to hear that the market place is running already. I love free p2p marketplaces and yours is by far the most beautiful I've seen so far. Im looking forward to the widespread adoption of BitBay, this will be just huge!

Do you also got a telegram/ discord/ slack channel or any other recommended sources to get the latest updates?

Kudos to everyone working on this project, Im really into it!
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is the best way to invest? on: December 09, 2017, 12:17:27 AM
Every investment bears a risk, so does ICO investing. If you pick the winners you might get very lucky. However ICO investing is also a great way to loose a lot of money very quickly. There are so many scams around and one has to be really careful nowadays where to put the money into. Its also hard to keep oversight over all the projects. I guess its best to pick some ICO's that you are interested in and then do proper research on them and do you due dilligence. Be suspicious ask the inconvenient questions. If you feel comfortable overall with thie inspected ICO you might invest. Thats how I do it.
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shall I buy BTC? on: December 09, 2017, 12:11:39 AM
My personal experience is that every decision that you might take, will be the wrong one. You buy now, price drops, you dont buy now, price goes up more. But to be honest in this situation with the Bitcoin price being out of control, I would not take the risk of buying now. I also still have fiat sitting on the exchange and waiting for the big correction that is desperately needed. But as I said, its always the wrong decision: Im waiting for that correction since BTC was breaking the 5k for the second time somewhere end of december I think.
