881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] Ethereum dApp Builder, No Coding, Easy to Customize! - TokenPre-sale on: December 12, 2017, 12:48:48 PM
Hi there, will everyone be able to build a dApp with your software without coding experience at all? Is your project in competition with crowdmachine? Could you evaluate a bit what distinguishes you from them? Please correct me if your project cant be compared to them.
All the best for your tokensale!
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be patient for your profit on: December 12, 2017, 12:44:30 PM
Weak hands are always going to sell, strong hands will accumulate more. I dont think that is a good advice in general to just hold. We must always do research and evaluate a project and then decide if we believe in it and its therefore worth holding or if not.

Generally speaking OP is totally right, its really problematic how people in this space expect almost immediate returns from their investments, they arent even satisfied if their investments yield is "only" about 10%. If you think about it its crazy, no investment works like this. Warren Buffet, and everyone else in the "real" financial world, would laugh hard at all those people here requesting instant returns.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To whoever thinks a 25 billion circulating supply is a lot for ADA on: December 12, 2017, 12:38:59 PM
I dont really understand what the number of decimals is related to the price?! Can you explain this by chance a little further (to someone that is not a big fan of math). Thanks in advance!
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | EDO |EIDOO Wallet - Hybrid Exchange - Marketplace| OVER 80k ETH RAISED | on: December 12, 2017, 02:36:47 AM
EIDOO is really solid. Shame that I missed the ICO, actually I even saw it but didnt bother to read up on it. Now after some research I really like where EIDOO is heading too. Will buy some EDO as soon as I have freed some funds.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CLOUT - Media Decentralized. on: December 12, 2017, 02:32:24 AM
Its great that Clout is back on track as it seems. Was kind of scared that this great project wouldnt come to life after all, but it seems that you are alive and breathing! Have there been changes on the team?

Yes we are back on track to bringing the platform we all want and need to life! Some members have left but the ones who believe in the project have stayed to see it through. As we are confident in CLOUT becoming the standard platform everyone goes to for crypto.

Crypto related? CLOUT it.

Thank you,
Team CLOUT

Alright, thanks for the answer. Im looking forward to seeing this platform developed. Its indeed something that we all need. Its getting harder and harder everyday to distinguish between quality news and just fud- or "shill"-news. I hope your ICO will be a huge success.

Is there a way to monitor how much has been raised yet? If not, can you provide a number here?

Thanks in advance!
886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheap coins that are in sleepy mode right now and can explode in the future on: December 12, 2017, 02:28:25 AM
I believe in the following coins that are still highly undervalued in my opinion and are likely to grow a lot in value one day: Aeternity (if they will be able to deliver what they promise), Ardor (if they will be able to deliver what they promise), Nem.
Maybe also Cardano's ADA, but im still suspicious with that one.
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoKitties proves Ethereum and it will only get better. on: December 12, 2017, 02:16:27 AM
The issue is though what happens when 10 games like this are created and running at once.  You know how crypto works, 1 things becomes poplular and then a bunch of other people make a ton of clones of it.  1 was enough to cause a major headache, many more will grind it to a halt.

Agreed, Im also wondering what this will be like, and as you said, its almost certain that we will soon see a lot of copyCATS. Curious if this kind of games will cause real damage to the network or if there will be measures in place from the Ethereum devs to prevent this.

Nevertheless the market seems to have reacted now to the resolved network congestion, Ethereum broke the $500 mark again.
888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 12, 2017, 02:11:40 AM
Ethereum broke the $500 mark again! Really glad to see that the market remained unimpressed by this kitty crisis. As this showed us where Ethereum has to work on, Ethereum now shines stronger than ever. Ethereum community will not get discouraged by some kitties!
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who uses myetherwallet? on: December 12, 2017, 02:04:30 AM
I am using myetherwallet for almost one year now and have not encountered any problem with it.

Recently I started using it in combination with the Ledger Nano S hardware wallet and also with MetaMast (the latter only to see how it works) and both is really convenient to use. Myetherwallet is great in any sense in my opinion.

Its only a pity that there are so many phishing sites that pretend to be myetherwallet on which people loose their ETH.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] HealthTRUST+ [HT] - Securing Healthcare Data On Blockchain on: December 12, 2017, 01:59:12 AM
Can you guys recommend any other option?

There's someone messaging all the users on telegram, calling it a scam company and it's hurting our funding.

I don't want to do KYC at all, I love the privacy and anonymity of blockchain/cryptos, but I don't see any other option.

Maybe a few moderators for the telegram chat in my absence and they earn a nice bounty.

Also an update - we have spoken to etherdelta and we will be hopefully getting our coin listed on that exchange as soon as the audits are over.

I understand your pain, but its quite normal that there is trolling going on in the telegram channels. People need to ask the uncomfortable questions as well. But if its nothing but trolling with the intention to hurt the project you can ban those users from the group. But rest assured, you will find trolls in every telegram channel (PTOY telegram was also flooded with trolls, they recently closed down their Telegram group as well). I guess the people that will be influenced by trolling are the ones you can do without. People that did their due dilligence properly wont listen to trolling on a telegram group and rather trust their research about the project. But the idea of additional administrators for the group is good, what time of the day are you not availible to attent the group?

I'm usually not available most of the time because I am with my patients. I probably have 1 hour a day I can check it. The issue here is that there were users messaging others privately in the group and causing issues. I have figured out who that person is and I would have pressed charges but he is in a different country.

Thats certainly bad, you cant control when someone starts messaging the group members in private. There are two other ways you could work with telegram. Firstly you could set up an announcement channel, this will still bear the risk of someone messaging the channel subscribers. Secondly you could set up a bot to whom people could write their questions to and you could then answer them whenever you are ready to (I dont know how to do this, but I saw it at another project which had no telegram group as well). I guess such a telegram bot is a convenient solution in means of costumer support.
If you will decide to set up a telegram group again, I could help you out with moderation, but I cant provide 23 hours service.
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How big of a role does privacy play? on: December 12, 2017, 01:49:59 AM
I just find it very interesting that for alot of people privacy is very high on there list of needs for crypto. But yet the real "privacy" coins are only a small percent of the crypto currency market cap. With technology advancing, I would not be surprised if governments could just plug in your address and find out who owns it in a  matter of minutes. ( Assuming you bought the coins on a site like coinbase, that keeps track of your transactions and requires Identity. )

Thats certainly true, I also think that governments have measures in place to find out who a crypto address belongs to, although I dont think that this thread is representative for the whole crypto space. I think that only a minor percentage is valueing privacy a lot. I guess those people that really want to use privacy coins for the purpose of staying out of the reach of governments wont be so stupid to buy their coins through coinbase etc., there are other ways to obtain crypto than regular centralized exchanges.
892  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HitBTC scam! on: December 12, 2017, 01:34:37 AM
If this story is true, it is near to unbelievable. However I would never trade on HitBTC. They are known to do shady business, havent you seen the "you got scammed by HitBTC" memes on telegram or anywhere else? Its like common knowledge that one should avoid HitBTC.

Really sad for your loss, I hope you will achieve something for the good of all traders.

Furthermore Im looking forward to the day when DEx's are going to put those shady centralized exchanges out of business for good.
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QRL - Announcing the Quantum Resistant Ledger on: December 12, 2017, 01:30:32 AM
Check XXXX ! It’s the future!
Very nice air drops and community!
Join us! 🙂

Wrong thread, dude.

This guy did post this rubbish in almost every thread I read today. Really annoying, glad that the mods did delete his posts. On top this kind of stuff just sheds a bad light on the project he wants to promote.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WaltonChain WTC on: December 12, 2017, 01:27:15 AM
As price retraced quite a bit over the last days I just bought some more WTC. Seems to be a bargain right now, Im certain that we wont see WTC under $10 for long anymore. Maybe even before the end of the year this bargain pricing will be over.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | Nxt | Blockchain Platform | Proof of Stake | Official on: December 12, 2017, 01:21:19 AM
Finally also bought some NXT for the snapshot on 28.12., dont want to miss out here. I know that I bought NXT pretty high compared to where it was some weeks ago, but I dont regret. Wanted to get in for a long time already anyways.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡[ANN] TOKENPAY ⚡ THE WORLD'S MOST SECURE COIN ⚡ TOKENSALE DECEMBER 7TH ⚡ on: December 12, 2017, 01:17:06 AM
What could be the advantage of POS compared to POW?

Obviously the huge benefit that POS brings over POW is the reduction of electricity that is needed to mine new coins. With raising difficulty POW mining is becoming more expensive as well and therefore it will eat up the power supply of the world. This is unbearable in the long run.
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX: Making Blockchain assets spendable on: December 12, 2017, 01:11:50 AM

Do you by chance know when this will be the case? I actually also thought that I could use other crypto than BTC as soon as I get the card. Dont want to spend my BTC, but got some alts that I want to get rid of and I thought it would be perfect to spend them with the TenX card rather than to send them to the exchange just to sell at a loss.

This is pure guessing - but I think Julian meant by xmas present the ETH wallet for everyone. As I said - it is pure guessing. I could be totally wrong with this. But - I would like to see  exactly this come true.  Smiley

Hoepfully we don't have to wait so much longer for the other wallets to go live.

That would be awesome! As I dont expect to receive the card before the end of this month anyways, this would be perfect timing for me. The integration of the ETH wallet would include all ERC20 tokens as well right? Thanks for your help!
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: December 12, 2017, 12:34:43 AM
what is the main fuction of BNB? Just token for getting free airdrops from the exchange? What is the usecase here? I would be appreciated if someone explained in datails

The main usecase of BNB is paying the trading fees with it. When using BNB there is a 50% discount on the trading fees. Thats what makes BNB a great token, because unlike others it is a token with real use case!
899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: December 12, 2017, 12:32:06 AM
Anybody had problems withdrawing Qtum from Binance? I tried several weeks ago and today I tried again but still get the same kind of error. Or actually its not even an error, I just cant confirm the withdrawal. I mean Qtum is still a ERC20 token right? So I put in an ERC20 compliant wallet, that should work or not?

If you can post the error message you get in this thread it may help us with your problem, or send a support request to Binance I'm sure they will point you in the right direction.

There is a post here http://cryptocoindaddy.com/move-qtum-to-bittrex-before-october-4-2017-for-qtum-blockchain-upgrade that says (after the swap) "Make sure to use the Qtum’s new mainnet compatible wallet and not the myetherwallet for storing your coins."

Thanks for the help man, actually it seems that I didnt do enough research. I only knew that QTUM was a ERC20 token and I looked it up on Etherscan and found it there so I was sure it still is. Thanks for clearing that up, I just checked and its true I have to download the mainnet wallet as it seems. That explains this withdrawal issue. Thanks alot for making me aware!
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why i am switching from Etherdelta to Idex Decentralize Exch on: December 11, 2017, 11:36:37 PM

I agree that the trade minimums suck, we felt we had no other choice though. Unlike EtherDelta we have trade matching on IDEX, this means that you can't just match any order you want to match with, you have to match with the best priced one. Since all trades mine on Ethereum there is a gas cost involved, and that gas cost is paid by the market taker. If we don't have a minimum trade amount it will be very simple for people to spam our orderbook with tiny orders that cost more in gas to mine than the orders are worth. This would make the cost of doing a trade extremely expensive, effectively making IDEX unusable. The only solution in the short term is to limit the order size so that takers don't have to pay too high of a fee when also including gas.

In the medium term we are working on moving IDEX over to a sidechain solution. This sidechain will use POS mining and be secured by our AURA token and there will be no gas fees, only trade fees, which will go to the miners. Once we are operating on the sidechain there will no longer be minimum trade sizes.

Thanks for explaining that to me. I understand and it makes sense. I was thinking about something like gas being the reason in the first place, just thought that they are kind of high compared to gas costs. But Im sure you did the math before applying the trade minimums. The sidechain solution sounds promising too, will Idex then be able to support other currencies (eg BTC) as well? Keep it up, great work so far!

Hey Bribed, for some reason this never let me know you responded  Huh And yeah, it is high compared to gas but that was so we could have room to raise the gas prices without messing with the minimums. Unfortunately that cat game has really hit us hard right now, shows we are right with thinking we need a sidechain! The sidechain version will be able to integrate with any smart contract blockchain easily, for assets like bitcoin it is more work but should be possible.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! We just released a new Aurora site, be sure to check it out! https://auroradao.com/

Hey there, funny thing, somehow I just stumbled on the thread again today and was also surprised to find another answer from you! Thanks for that one.

All this sounds really compelling and I am looking forward to seeing it being deployed!

As far as I know your tokensale started today, so I wish all the best that you will raise enough funds to develop the project by all means. I will buy some tokens as well! Best of luck!
