1101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX: Making Blockchain assets spendable on: December 08, 2017, 12:33:43 PM
I am using the tenx card , its working very smooth! Love paying with crypto

Very nice to hear that! I just ordered one. Im looking forward to receiving it, but it might still take some time as there seems to be a huge backlog of orders that must be carried out before mine. Nevertheless this will be great!
One question: do I need to have PAY tokens to use the card?
Second question: can I use all currencies that I want to use with the TenX card? Eg if I have SIA coins or something similar that runs on its own blockchain, can I use them too to pay? Thanks in advance!
1102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin bubble on: December 08, 2017, 12:28:47 PM
Bitcoin and crypto might be a bubble, and it might pop at some point and value can go down to a low level. BUT its a bubble that is here to stay. Blockchain technology is here to stay. The market is in its infancy and as most people just hold their Bitcoin with the expectation that its value will increase more and more it can happen at a certain point that people start to cash out and then the price going down, but even if it does, one Bitcoin is one Bitcoin, no need to only orientate ourselves at the USD value.
1103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The first truly rare Pepes on the Bitcoin Blockchain! [ANN] on: December 08, 2017, 12:18:59 PM
Insane what is happening with rare Pepes lately. I have read about this project when it first started and I thought that this is some kind of test or even joke. But today I start to think that this is a rare project and I should be invested in.

Indeed, when I first read about Pepecash I also thought it was a joke or some pump and dump coin, but turns out, as we recently experienced with those kitties as well, that projects like this where people have unique coins, are well adopted and this can turn out really profitable for those that believe in it and participate. Looks fun and seems nice to me! When I have some money to spare, I will get me some pepes too.
1104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 undervalued ICO's on: December 08, 2017, 11:53:32 AM

I agree bribed, it doesn't look great. But I also see it from their point of view, if you were planning an ICO and you were seeing companies breaking 20/30 million around you, why not aim to be up there with them? Means you can push more money into the project and scale. I don't think it was greed, but ambition. Also I read something that November was a really bad month for ICO's in the amount of investments.

Hey Honeyduckgoose, I do see it from their point of view and understand that as well. As I said while almost all ICO's raising way more than they need to develop their product its a natural thing that you as new project also aim to raise fund in this area. But yet again, this just diminished the trust I had in the ICO, sure one can lower the hardcap as it cant be reached (november indeed was a very slow month for ICO's) but lower it 49 times? I dont want to badmouth crowdholding, I really like the project and hope that they will have success with what they are doing, its more that Im turned off by this from the whole ICO space, Crowdholding was just a recent example that showed clearly what goes wrong in this space. The seed funding and VC funding rounds do have a purpose, they are not just deplyoyed to oppress the Startups and give them little capital as possible. I just think that ICO's nowadays should rather focus on delivering and not just grabbing insane amounts of money, if they need further funding, they can still start a new fundraiser and will surely collect more. The news that this ICO raised 150m and that ICO raised 100m just sheds a bad light on our space, thats just my point of view.
1105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: December 08, 2017, 11:40:44 AM
Nxt very good. NXT is really mooning like crazy these days. Is it worth holding NXT?

Indeed it is smart to hold next, now more than ever, because NXT holders will receive IGNIS coins according to the snapshot of the NXT blockchain that will be taken on dec. 28.
It was known long already that this will be the case, but I guess people are now accumulating more NXT for this reason, that might be the reason for the sharp rise.

NXT has been flying under the radar for too long already, its an "oldschooler" with unique features that definitely were ahead of its time.

I invested in NXT early this year and now holding my NXT started to pay off! I also invested in Ardor some months ago, because I instantly fell in love with this project, now with the mainnet in sight and Ignis launching as its first childchain, the NXT family definitely wont be flying under the radar for long anymore. I see great things coming for 2018!
1106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest worries about altcoins and ICO? on: December 08, 2017, 11:32:17 AM
The biggest concern when investing in an altcoin is that it might not be successful and therefore dying. As most altcoins are fairly new and dont have a big community, this can happen pretty fast. Its always risky to invest in alts and even more in ICO's. I always look at the trading volume before I invest in an altcoin, if this is not fairly high I will stay away. The problem with ICO's is that even the ones that seem legit throughout the ICO can turnout to be a scam or only a money grab where none of the promises will/ can be delivered, this can happen due to lack of skills and not out of laziness or the like, but its the same outcome. I've become really careful when choosing ICO's, after loosing money and making some really bad experiences, Im rather suspicious than being deceived.
1107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to your Bitcoin when you Die? on: December 08, 2017, 11:26:34 AM
I didnt set it up yet, but there will be ways to set a up a will through a smart contract that will handle your Bitcoin or altcoin holdings after death. There are several platforms which will enable this service, for example Mywish or BitBay, I think also Via can be used for this. My favourite is BitBay, this platform is great.
1108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone Using EtherDelta? on: December 08, 2017, 11:23:03 AM
When this kitty thing came up I was trading on EtherDelta for one more day with very high tx fees, it worked still this way. However I stopped my trading there for the time being, this is no fun anymore. Its just frustrating when you want to trade and everything is so delayed. I just hope that this issue will be resolved soon in one way or another.
1109  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think its now the time to sell bitcoin? on: December 07, 2017, 11:36:48 PM
We might really see the $20,000 before the end of this month. But even if, I think that everybody that got in early enough should really consider to sell just to realize the profit for now. We can expect that there will also be a lower entry point soon, because there must be a correction at some point.
1110  Economy / Speculation / Re: When BTC will go down on: December 07, 2017, 11:34:51 PM
I hope that it will finally go down quite a bit. I am waiting for a correction for over a month now! But Bitcoin momentum doesnt break and it just keeps rising. I recently read that masterluc predicted that Bitcoin will hit $25,000 and then go down to $15,000 again. I would be very pleased if we would see a real correction before it goes to $25,000 though. I have fiat sitting on an exchange for ages now and just waiting for an entry, but every day I check the price its even higher.
1111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Hit $15,000 before year end on: December 07, 2017, 11:32:14 PM
We might really see the $20,000 before the end of this month. I must admit I didnt believe that this was possible, but this unpredictable market proved my pessimistic expectations wrong again. But to be honest I think this is insane and the price is completely out of control. It cant be healthy for an asset to soar like this. I still think that there will be a huge correction sooner or later that will cost many smaller investors a lot of money. But as it seems now, Bitcoin will just continue to rise for the time being.
1112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MONA] Monacoin LAUNCHING 2014/01/01 0:00 GMT on: December 07, 2017, 11:24:31 PM
So glad that I entered in MONA on time, as some of you predicted, now we are really almost hitting the $20 mark in the short term. I really didnt expect it this fast, but cant complain, Im really happy with my investment in MONA! What are your predictions for 2018?
1113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Wish I never bought altcoins on: December 07, 2017, 11:20:54 PM
Regrets dont resolve anything, better be happy that you are in cryptocurrencies at this early stage. My portfolio diminished in terms of Bitcoin value also for about 80%, but thats life, I decided to split it this way and now I hope for it to grow over time. Nobody could know that Bitcoin would surge this high this fast.
1114  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: December 07, 2017, 11:10:39 PM
Seems like they are all getting in at the same time, with Bitcoin spiking thousands of dollars in a matter of days or even hours. I definitely think that some billionaires are investing too, why wouldnt they do this, its good money!
1115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as payment system on: December 07, 2017, 11:02:38 PM
Would love to see Bitcoin being used as it was intended by Satoshi, at the present time this rather seems like a dream though. People are looking at Bitcoin more like a commodity and not as a means of payment. Hopefully this will change at some point in the future, when Bitcoin reaches a stable price.
1116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Datacoin - DTC]2017 New Clients, New Developers on: December 07, 2017, 10:47:57 PM
Seeing this coin for the first time, but I definitely like the idea of it. Storing small files on the blockchain and being able to retrieve them via Datacoin makes sense to me, solid concept. I like all projects that are against censorship!
1117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO good or bad? on: December 07, 2017, 10:45:06 PM
There are good ICO's but as this space gets more crowded, there are more and more scams popping up or ICO's that just want to raise money and have no proper use case or no product or lack of skills. I would be very careful when choosing in which projects to invest. Always do a lot of research before investing and read the whitepaper and check the background of the team and the advisors. Be suspicious! Its better to be cautious than to be sorry afterwards.
1118  Other / Politics & Society / Re: TEAMWORK: how to understand women on: December 07, 2017, 10:42:42 PM
Best advice: dont try to understand them. You wont succeed at this task. I learned to accept that men and women are just different. Not only the body, also when it comes to thinking, emotions, decision making.
1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I try to win back my loss? on: December 07, 2017, 10:39:43 PM
Emotions do play a significant role in your gambling and if you are gambling for recovery, you are going to lose some more money.

This! I definitely would just cut losses and let it go. One needs a fresh attitute and not chase after losses. OP wants to recover 0.03 BTC and therefore wants to risk 0.9 BTC if things go south? This sounds crazy to me, but Im not a regular gambler. Its just my common sense that tells me that this is wrong.
1120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] The NAGA ICO - SMART CRYPTOCURRENCY FOR STOCK TRADING & GAMING. on: December 07, 2017, 10:34:32 PM
I read about this project in the Handelblatt some time ago and am now seeing that this thread is quite active, looking good so far I guess. How is the tokensale going? How much was raised already? Is there a chance that you will reach the hardcap?
